Boke Bowl is always a delight to eat at. The food is phenomenal, never disappointing and always a fun surprise with the rotating seasonal veggies and menu. The staff are friendly, service was very quick. You get your own water and flatware, and the staff bring your food. Or, if you order to go, the food is always packaged nicely. The fried chicken and pickled cucumbers are family favorites, and the Brussel sprouts salad is fantastic. Their Ramen bowls are my go to, and have been a hit with everyone I've introduced them to. The fried chicken rice bowl is a classic also. Prices are very reasonable for serving size and high quality of the food. They have kids sizes and options, which my daughter thoroughly enjoyed. I have been coming here for 7 years and have never been disappointed. Highly recommend! Some of the items are unusual (Miso twinkies, for example), but it absolutely works! They are a tried and true favorite of ours. Also has vegan and gluten free options, which is cool and are yummy.

Vegetarian options
Vegetarian options are clearly marked and are delicious. I order and enjoy even though I'm not vegetarian. Staff are knowledgeable about ingredients and items on their menu and are very friendly and approachable.
Dietary restrictions
Gluten free options and vegetarian options are both clearly marked and there were several options for both. The food is very delicious, even for someone without any restrictions.
Kid-friendliness
Kid sizes/ options on their menu, along with easy side options like steamed buns and rice tots. The kid's Ramen bowl had a choice of tofu or shredded pork, and had noodles, broth, and a modest serving of the rotating seasonal vegetable (squash, a safe looking orange vegetable) without anything too crazy on there to scare picky eaters. Serving size was more than my 6 year old would eat, but a hungry 8 or 10 year old would probably be right. My kid also had some of the fried chicken and pickled cucumbers on the side and raved about how good they were hours after. The kid friendly dinosaur chopstick option was also a hit. This was an excellent dining experience for my kid.
Boke Bowl is one of my family’s most beloved restaurants in Portland. We bring out of town guests and friends & family that have relocated to Portland to this spot and everyone is blown away. While I think I could live off the tapioca desert, lest we forget to sing the praises of the Boke Twinkies. Their take on ramen is unique & executed very well. My all time favorite isn’t their Caramelized Fennel Broth. With the ability to include several delectable ‘add ons’ you can really customize your bowl. The most talked about dish among our family and all the guests we bring has to be the Warm Brussels Sprouts Salad. It is one of those gems that occupies a special place in my mind, rent free. The Boke seating area is no frills. They help keep things efficient with their walk up ordering and bringing out to you when it’s ready. The open kitchen is awesome. Thank you, Boke Bowl, for playing a part in the important work of me working on maintaining my ‘winter coat’ year-round

Today was my second visit to Boke Bowl, for Portland Mercury's Wing Week 2021, with the previous visit also being for a Wing Week (in 2018). This year's Boke Wings (pictured) are Star-Anise brined, medium-to-very spicy wings are heavily coated in a mixture of Hot Boke and Thai Chili Wing Sauces, and topped with sesame seeds. The heat from these wings definitely persists. They were very saucy, and the sauce itself was like a thick, very spicy catsup (red jalapenos and Thai green chiles). Notably, I would say that their chicken meat, itself, was one of the most flavorful, of the now 14 Wing Week entries that I have sampled, this year. The other stop with notably flavorful chicken meat was also brined and smoked - so, it really seems like that may be a great route to go, for chicken, if it's within a venue's capabilities. The sesame seeds were pretty, and added a subtle textural element, which I enjoyed, and the service was good; friendly, prompt, and accommodating. The kimchi was too salty and at the same time flavorless. The mushroom Rangoon stuffing was not that great. I know it's vegan, but it just didn't have the right texture. Also, the dipping sauce really didn't compliment the taste of the Rangoon very well. The pork rice bowl came with pulled pork that was a little dry and had a southern style taste. There was about 1 small scoop of white rice, the rest of the bowl consisted of terrible tasting pickled mushrooms, arugula, pickled cucumbers (that tasted like American style pickles), fried shallots, bamboo shoot strings, snow peas, and some kimchi. Separately, all these ingredients work, but when mixed together, they weren't that great. The only things I liked were the Ginger limeade and the tea infused with pear. For the price point, it was definitely a big let down.

I was prepared to dismiss Boke Bowl as another precious attempt at Asian fusion...well, shut my mouth!!! This place delivers the goods! My absolute favourite on the menu is the steam buns ($11 for 3)...these are done "taco style" here with the bao folded around the filling. Give me any filling and I will devour it...better yet give me about 6. But...I have to have room for a Poke Bowl...no wait, a Salad...or was it Ramen??? They're all good! You'll find me here at least 2x during any visit. I love the freshness of all the ingredients, the sauces, and just the comfort of it. This is food that gives you the feeling of being sated without being stuffed...know what I mean?? Very satisfying. Order at the register and then find yourself a seat...even when it's busy, tables turn quickly. Seating is communal...make new friends while you eat the fantastic food!
Came here for their Dumpling Week and the lamb wontons we're so good! You order at the front and sit down and they bring your food and it was so fast - less than 5 mins for sure. We also got their ramen, fried chicken steamed buns and a side of pickled cucumbers. All were so amazing and delicious! Definitely a different flavor than the usual taste of ramen but still very rich in flavor and so so good.

A dear friend said "let me take you to lunch and it's a surprise" Well it was a surprise! First of all the menu is comprised of many selections to choose from, she knows that I love seafood and suggested the ramen bowl which the broth is created from lobster tail, crab shells in a reduction. The primary broth is mizu and let me tell you it was stunningly delicious. They also offer a wonderfully prepared small plate size of fried Chicken with an incredible sauce that you top it with. The crab, I forget the pronunciation, were incredible. They were accompanied by a homemade sauce that complemented them beautifully. I will say this, I will definitely be back again! I should note that their t-shirt branding states "Portland style ramen" and it's the perfect statement.

When I lived in Oregon, I used to come here at every opportunity. Absolutely love their cocktails and noodle bowls. But after my last visit, I'm a little disappointed. Their cocktail was just as good and their steam buns were delicious as always, but the noodle bowl was not consistent with what I've had before. I always get their fennel noodle bowl which I've always enjoyed. But this time, the fennel dumplings were tough and the egg they put in, the white part was runny. The overall flavor was nothing to write home about, almost to the point that I didn't want to finish it. I don't know if it's because I ordered the fennel noodle, but if there is a next time, I'm not ordering the fennel and I'll see if all of their bowls are going down hill or it's just their vegetarian one.
The short of it: Kind staff, an upbeat atmosphere, and not a single dish made without care. The staff member at the register was primarily Aidan, but Jake and a few kitchen staff members were fantastic with a quick "what do you need", "how can I help?", or even "what's up bud?" I can't wait to try more of their menu every time I'm in the area!

A great place with a wide variety of Ramen and other delicious entrees and side dishes. Moderately priced in a family seating style (e.g. strangers sitting next to you). I ordered the Fried Chicken Ramen Bowl, about $12 bucks, it comes with two large pieces of boneless fried chicken breast, kimchee, steamed squash and other vegetables, ramen noodles, broth and a white sauce that I couldn't figure out what it was, but it tasted good. I was stuffed when I was finished and had to walk around to keep from falling into a food coma before heading back to work. Service was prompt, employees friendly and the food was excellent. We worth the walk and price. Highly recommend stopping in for lunch or dinner.
I received the fried chicken bowl. It had sesame seed rice, fresh greens, kimchee? Corn, mushrooms, pickles, fried chicken breast pounded. ( it needed a broth) it was delicious. I cleared that bowl. Maybe a soy brown butter would have worked. This is worth it, go! The chocolate moose .

The price was too much for the amount of food provided. While the food was decent it was not what I was expecting not the flavors I was familiar with. While that can be a good thing, here it was not. The curry was overwhelmingly sweet and tasted purely of tomato. I can't say for certain but I believe the chicken might not have been cooked to temp as I've been feeling off since I ate there. One good thing I can say is that the gyoza or potsickers were actually really good. They looked like they were hand made and they had a decent amount of filling. Only downside is that it was $11 for five.

Came in at 5ish pm. Ordered right away. Plenty of seating. Food came out fast. The fried chicken was awesome. Perfectly fried. Had it in the rice bowl and shared the steam buns. I don’t know what the sauce is on top of the chicken - sort of a mustard or a relish - but it is delicious. This place is great for our vegetarian too. She had the fennel ramen and mushroom rangoons and loved them. We ordered 3 sides and 4 mains to share between five of us. Came to about $120 total. No leftovers, but everyone was full after a very busy day in Portland.

I just came in today and the place is nice and service and greeting is super cool. We ordered two bowls of Ramen, pork belly and wontons, I have some complaints really the broth was not tasty it was bitter like the meat that was used to make it was not pre cooked to clean it and the broth was super dark, some what salty and bitter taste at the end and def not enoug broth either ah and also it eas very oily, the pork belly felt more like just pork meat and no crunchy side of it as one could expect when one hears pork belly for a side, but the wonton where really good if I come back again I rather just order wontons

Walking by Boke Bowl and had to try it out just by the looks of the place. Industrial look and feel with exposed hvac vents. The Roman broth is a 12 hours process from what I was informed when asking. It was fun prep below the floating shelves with white bowls. Plenty of seating with one big window. The broth has a different flavor than what I’m used to but was good. I’ve had creamy and this one is smooth. I just found out the creaminess comes from adding miso which this dish doesn’t have. I was recommended the spicy sausage with root vegetables which has a nice flavor. If you are in the area you won’t be disappointed if you dine at Boke Bowl.
This is a lovely, open - actually quite beautiful restaurant space. The very high wood ceiling is lovely. No music playing, no loud people - very pleasant and relaxing place to eat and have a good conversation with friends!!! Also, big windows so very light and spacious feeling. The food arrived quickly. The presentation of the food was quite beautiful. Lots of vegetables mixed in which I liked. My shrimp bowl was light and tasty. Boke Bowl is a lovely place to eat! I look forward to going there again and will tell my friends to eat there too! Bon apetite!

Poke and ramen place in Water Street area. I had a tuna poke. It was a salad like poke here. With pokes, each shop has different poke, you can’t tell until you actually get the dish. The poke had, tuna, grilled delicata squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, avocado and a pile of arugula. The rice was mixed with a bit of sesame. They also have many ramen dishes curry rice (not Japanese style, more like Thai, but they call it Portland style) as for an appetizer, they have buns and dumplings and many other dishes.

Had the vegan ramen and it was so good! The squash and eggplant were cooked to PERFECTION. I've never had a ramen with either of these ingredients, and they were definitely stand-outs! The broth is good but I wish it was richer.... but I'm partial to richer broths and I know there are different styles, so i won't fault them for that. I only wish the vegan ramen came with the tofu, instead of having to order it as an extra. Definitely some of the best tofu I've ever had... and I dont say that lightly. The seasoning was so rich and flavorful! Definitely will be coming back!
The steamed buns were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the fried chicken one! The beef brisket one had great flavor but the meat was a little dry. We went for a sandwich they had for Portland Sandwich Week but I'm glad we got the steamed buns too because they were definitely the star of the show. I will be coming back for those fried chicken buns!!!

Exceeded my expectations. Korean veggies can be odd for the western palate so you never know, but my husband and I are always game for new tastes! The fried chicken buns were bomb and the rice bowls (we got a vegan and a lemongrass chicken, the tofu was tasty, the chicken was ok) were surprisingly alive with a variety of flavors, textures and vegetables, both pickled and fresh. We ordered it delivered from Caviar and it came timely and the food was hot and attractive, ooh yeah. Will just go straight for the clincher and get the fried chicken bowl next time!
I love Boke bowl. All of the people who work at the Eastside location are super friendly and service is fast and efficient. There always different choices of Ramen bowls and they trey to use seasonal ingredients as much as possible. I love their little steam buns you get three for i want to say 10 bucks which is kind a spend he but if you're not eating it every day it's a nice treat. If you like soup and you like noodles and you like friendly people who serve your food and take your orders in a clean orderly environment I recommend you try the place.
Fantastic place to grab a bowl of delicious ramen. Kid friendly and an welcoming environment. The menu is easy to pick from and there are plenty options to spruce up your bowl. Prices are reasonable as well. For those who only think ramen comes from those styrofoam cup you microwave, please come and try this place out and understood what it's supposed to taste like. The seating is a bit crammed, but it's understandable considering the size of the restaurant. It's a convenient place in the industrial district. Very easy. Check it out.
I’ve been here a few times for burger week and really felt the need to come back for a normal menu item. I was quite sorry It had taken me so long. As a ramen aficionado, I jumped on their main ramen dish expecting a decent creation of a common type of ramen. I was quite wrong. Though I have read about ramen like this I’d never had it, so I was surprised and enjoyed having it for the first time. It’s a great alteration and quite different from your average ramen dish. I can’t wait to come back and try a few other items.
This place is a burst of flavor! Ramen bowls rice bowls, handmade steam buns.....what a treat! My family loves this place every time we go downtown. They have GF and vegetarian options. It's a must try if you want to tickle your tastebuds!

I feel like I could give this place two ratings. If you are looking for good Asian food absolutely stay away. Zero stars. If you want gentrified, bland, overpriced "Asian food" then this is your spot. I get it, there's totally a demographic for that in Portland. (I was the only Asian person, including staff.) Counter service, but they will bus your table for you and the cashier was nice.

The pulled pork ramen with an added soft boiled egg did not disappoint. The pork was tender and full of flavor but not overly fatty as it can sometimes be at other establishments. The food was prepared quickly but showed not signs of being rushed or slap dash. The gal who took my order was polite and straight to business, but made sure to notify me that I didn't have to bus my own table, which was great to clarify up front. All told, I'm excited to visit this restaurant again and try some of their other options.
I've been to a good chunk of the other ramen place in Portland (Marukin, Noraneko, Boxer, etc) and this ranks right up there with the best of them (better in my opinion). The broth is savory, pork a delicious barbeque/smoky flavor and the eggs runny and obviously prepared regularly. This place is better for two reasons, the service is quicker and their is much more space to enjoy your bowl without rubbing shoulders with other patrons. This will be my default ramen joint in the future.
Hmm not sure how this is Japanese. They took what would be traditional Japanese dishes and put all American flavors in them. Was ok. Pork ramen was a BBQ/smoked pulled pork. The steamed buns were all Americanized then they threw it in a steamed bun and said "hey, Asian!" Maybe use more Asian flavors to really pull it together but honestly it's not a good twist on Japanese/Asian fusion. Was really disappointed. Service was good tho

This place is super good! Must get the steam buns! I'm veggie so I like the mushroom, but the seasonal steam bum which is currently eggplant is so good! My friend loves the fried chicken steam buns. Pickles and some other fixins come on that. You can order one for $4. Or get get an order of 3 for $11. The shrimp ramen is delicious too. Add a poached egg! Just tried the shrimp rice bowl and that was amazing! Loved all the flavors you get! Some beer on tap 2! Try it!

I don’t care what people say, I know their ramen may not be super “authentic,” but holy cow is it delicious. Their caramelized fennel ramen is one of my most favorite ramens ANYWHERE. It is so tasty and full of so many delicious seasonal veggies, and I eat it pretty darn frequently. I like it so much that I still haven’t been able to order anything else there, although I hear good things about their other items. I highly recommend it!

Veggie stock...... caramelized fennel for those that want a delicious broth without animal ingredients.
With advice from a very helpful employee, ordered the fried chicken rice bowl and a pork belly steam bun. I walked in because it was the closest restaurant to me and I didn’t know what to expect. The rice bowl blew my mind. The steam bun, to die for. I would move to Portland just for this rice bowl. I’m really disappointed that I leave today because I would definitely come back here tomorrow and probably the next day.
I was introduced to Boke Bowl by a co-worker, we work right around the corner, and was very impressed. I have only eaten here once and ordered the steamed bun mini sliders. It was my first time trying this type of food and oh wow was it delicious! Prices are moderate and the staff is very friendly, be sure to go during lunch hour to take in the whole scene. Cafeteria style seating allows you to meet while you eat.
Pretty solid ramen overall. Their toppings are top notch and really do a great job of adding to the overall quality of the dish. Our experience is just limited to the veggie (caramelized fennel) ramen. It’s good, but it’s such a strong fennel flavor that it’s the sort of thing I’d only seek out like 2-3x/year. We’ll definitely dine/order from here again in the future but it’s not our favorite ramen place in town.
I’ve eaten here three times now and the food has yet to disappoint. The ingredients are fresh, the pickled shiitake are mouthwateringly fantastic, and the serving size is portioned just right. The side of avocado is a little overpriced, but this is Portland, where a few slivers of avocado dusted in sea salt is considered side dish warranting a ridiculous $2.50. However, at $11, the rice bowl was very reasonable.
Get the ginger- limeade drink, it's amazing, fantastic, and worth every penny. Boke Bowl is a bit pricey but you won't be disappointed! The food is fresh and flavorful. The little stuffed buns are so good, especially the mushroom ones and the pork belly ones! You're going to want to order more food than you can possibly eat, which just about guarantees you'll be going back again and again!
I'll definitely be back. I got the pork ramen with an egg and a side of picked cucumbers. My partner got the fennel ramen. Both very tasty but the pork was definitely better. So many things on the menu to try, I'll have to visit again and again.

My favorite rice bowl in Portland: Boke's fried chicken rice bowl. No one has better fried chicken and the mix of vegetables is always delicious. The price has creeped up over the past year or two but it's still worth it at $12. If you're with a group be sure and get the brussell sprouts as well. I didn't really like them or feel the need to try them again until I had them here.
Three words: Fried Chicken Thursday! We've been here a few times and is always good, the environment is modern, light and friendly with family style seating. Great for groups! It's fun to try all of their side dishes too, we like their fried chicken stuffed steam buns and the homemade kimchi. Don't be scared off by the line, its moves pretty quick and you get the food promptly.
So good! I got a vegan ramen and added tofu, but it would have been perfectly enough without it. It was so good and had so many lovely flavors. The housemade ginger lime drink was fantastic too. The atmosphere is super chill and I felt like I could have stuck around for hours. Unfortunately, the neighborhood is fairly sketchy, so I wouldn't recommend walking there like I did.
Good fusion ramen. The poached egg was a little runnier than I like and the cornmeal oysters were okay. The noodles were nice and chewy and the broth with pork was good to the last drop. The staff was very nice and helpful. And the space was clean and bright (so, not romantic). The hours are a bit odd, looks like a lunch place for most of the week, and open later Th-Sat.
Food is delicious, service is lacking. Server never once checked in to see if everything was satisfactory after the food was delivered to the table. If you're diabetic like myself, there's no artificial sweetener for iced tea(no refill either), not even lemon. Service nominal, atmosphere generic, I'll be using GrubHub and not going to the brick and mortar in the future.
It was interesting. I wouldn't go in with very high expectations, it was food and it was filling but I'm probably not coming back. I wish our checker would have mentioned what dishes were spicy and which weren't, the sauce on the beef brisket buns was so hot I couldn't eat the whole thing. The buns are less like buns and more like a sweet dough taco.
I’ve been here a few times but I think this latest visit will be my last. The food is not worth the price, the flavors underwhelming and even a little unpleasant, honestly. I got the shrimp rice bowl and it is just was not tasty. The rice was cold. The portion of shrimp was laughably small. Kind of ridiculous to charge $12 for such a lackluster dish.
Two words: Fried Chicken. Just get it and make your mouth happy. Love their steam buns and the pork garlic dumplings. The ramen is delicious, too. Fun spot for lunch or dinner in the East Side industrial district. Street parking only, it’s tough in this area. When you do find a spot, don’t leave anything in your vehicle and lock it up.
pork dumplings does not taste like the real ones you get at the chinese restaurants. don't like sesame seed on it. The fried chicken bun tastes great. 3 pieces for $10 is a bit expensive. The noodle soup tasted bland and didn't have a lot of flavor. My noodle soup, tea, and appetizer cost over $40. So, not a cheap place to go for lunch.
Decent food, bowl in itself is packed with different items but sometimes flavors are non complementary. Bao though is tasty and is a good option - recommended to try. Dining area is big and spacious and staff is accommodating. Parking though is a challenge.

I came with my friends. Hungry. Looking forward to a delicious, ramen meal. What did I get? Disappointment. We left feeling unsatisfied. The waitress, wish I caught her name, was a true delight (says with sarcasm). She was rude, and the food was terrible, honestly. Meat and vegetarian ramen. Leaving 1 star because I can’t put zero.
I love Boke Bowl. Great flavors, good portions, fun menu. The menu is a little pricey but as I said, the portions are of a good size. Very good about Gluten Free options. The dining area in the SE location is big, open and echoey but clean, well decorated and spacious. I will keep going back here as long as I live in Portland.
Flavorful ramen. It has a good clean taste to it. Doesn't leave you feeling stuffed and gross. Noodles are made in house, so you know they're fresh. The fried chicken steam buns were amazing! I missed out by not ordering more. They do a great job with the checken breading. Friendly staff. Clean interior with plenty of seating.
The vegetarian ramen was absolutely the best I've ever. It's a lovely little restaurant where they make the dumplings right out in front of everywhere. Creative dishes, fun ingredients, and a really wonderful staff. The steamed buns and fried chicken was utterly delicious.

The flavors of this ramen were so delicious. The eggplant was done very well, the tots were an awesome addition, the vegan broth had so much flavor depth. There were gluten free noodles, I probably wouldnt order them again, but they weren't bad. I've been craving it ever since I went, excited to go back some day!
Very thoughtful indoor seating, lots of ventilation. Out server was very nice and attentive. The ramen was delicious but the fried chicken stream buns were awesome. So many options on the menu that we are going to have to go back a lot.

Order at the counter and sit down at communal tables. The server brings the food out to you. Food is delicious, noodles, rice and dumplings are great. On a down note, however, food is very expensive for a very casual dining setting. Worth to try, but check the prices before you go, to see if it is worth to you.
Food is alway amazing. My favorite is the vegan caramelized fennel ramen bowl wet, with a piece a fried chicken on top. We get the cauliflower salad and steam buns to share. The atmosphere is casual, great for lunch dinner or take out. It's also a solid place to take big city friends that are really into food.
Not what I expected. I ordered the pork ramen, but this was no tonkatsu. it came with smoked pulled pork like American BBQ. The broth was thicker and sweeter than Im used to. The noodles were different in color and texture than I've had. But it wasn't bad, in fact it was pretty good. Just know that going in.
Delicious unique spin on ramen and poke. They use some less common ingredients and flavors but the flavors work deliciously together. They also have some very lovely cocktails.

I loved this place! The noodles were so delicious, perfectly smoked tofu with pickled egg and vegetables, if I wasn’t visiting and lived nearby I would eat hear every week. The service was great as well! Can’t wait to go back next time I’m in Portland.

Always delicious, fresh ingredients. I'm a big fan of the fried chicken bowl and steam buns. House made kimchi also excellent. Drinks are all top shelf, under ten bucks each. Bright, airy atmosphere primarily occupied with a big community table. Only notable issue, you may have to wait during peak times.
Vegan ramen — out of this world! Caramelized fennel and smoked tofu, this is the best ramen in the universe. Ambience was lovely, condiments on point, and staff delightful. Thank you for the delicious food! Xo - Dill & Nicholas

I don't normally give out 5 stars but Boke Bowl gets all the stars. This place has a great selection without being overwhelming. I enjoyed everything we ordered, my favorite was the fried pears. The rice tots were tasty too, make sure you soak up the sauce in the bottom of the bowl it is delicious.
Fastest service I've had in Portland. My drink was ready before I even finished paying at the register. Burgers came out in only about five or seven minutes at most, hot and fresh. Would love to eat there again sometime.

Delicious food and friendly, knowledgeable staff that took the time to explain some dishes to us as first time diners. We took our friends from out of town here. The pear dish was interesting and just right. They even allowed for my sesame allergy, which is hard to do with any Asian style food.
Delicious Ramen bowls. Extrodinary steamed buns. All of them, pork, beef, mushroom, and chicken.

We got buns, dumplings, soy eggs, and pork ramen. I was a little disappointed in the pork belly in the ramen, it was tough and dry despite being soaked in the ramen. Other than that, everything was phenomenal. Nothing was too spicy and everything was flavorful. And those noodles! Amazing!
This place is awesome. Fried chicken rice bowl is amazing but so is everything else I’ve had. Friendly staff, fast service, creative menu, and quality food that leaves you feeling nourished. They nail it.

I really love the fried chicken steam buns. They are soooo good. My only wish is that the meal would be more filling for the price you pay. The pork ramen was really salty but maybe it was just a one-time thing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Still would definitely recommend this place.
If you order anything, let it be the Sichuan duck wontons! They were absolutely fabulous! The fried chicken was good too! I look forward to visiting again during my next trip to Portland!

Very delicious food. All of their veggie baos are delicious. I especially like to get a side of their ginger scallion rice. And the Pots de creme is rich and delicious. Always friendly staff. My partner says that the fried chicken bao is by far their best flavor.
I had the turmeric chicken ramen. My friend had the cold ramen. House made ramen noodles are oh so tasty. I will be back. It might be hard to try something other than the noodles because it was sooooo good.

This is one of my favorite spots in town. I've only had the veggie ramen but it's the best I've ever had - those little rice tots are amazing! Ask for the tofu add-on if you're up for it but I have never left this place hungry. Great and efficient service too!
Went during Portland burger week and of the 6 places we went to this one was the best by far. The inside was very nicely decorated and when we had trouble getting into the bathroom because the electronic lock was dead the staff was quick in helping us out.
Only been there once so far, but it was excellent. I can't wait to try it again.

The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful, I really enjoyed it! Ramen bowls here are also excellent, I would recommend additions such as a hard boiled or poached egg and avocado. Give all of the sauces a try as well, you might find something you love!
When here for Portland nacho week 2019. out of the multiple locations I went for this event, this was hands-down the best nachos. Also, the spicy miso soup noodles were awesome. Great place and I look forward to coming back. Stop by and check it out.
Shareable portion sizes and good vegan options. Sampled the menu with a group of friends and we had plenty to take home. There’s a lot of flavor in everything we tried.

My wife and I were pretty underwhelmed based on the reviews we saw prior to visiting. The fried chicken buns and pork shoulder were good but we didn't think they were worth the price. We didn't enjoy the shrimp rice bowl much at all, though.
Delicious food every time! The ginger limeade is fantastic!

Ramen doesn't get much better. All bowls are delicious. I get the pork with egg. A tad on the expensive side, but worth the money. The buns too are wonder (especially the mushroom) but the ramen itself doesn't leave much room left over. You
Staff is super nice! My daughter (3 years old) brought in outside fries and wanted something to dip them. One of the staff was so awesome, they went next door to get dipping sauce while my wife and I enjoyed an amazing Poke Bowl. Thank you!
Currently sitting here, had my first bite of their mushroom dumplings and thought i better leave a review. Everything here is sooo good. Great price. And super clean. The staff is also amazingly friendly and not fake like my ex girlfriend.
This is not authentic ramen by any means, so I was a little disappointed by the weird hipster ramen that came with sweet potatoes and the egg costs extra?? (On top of what was already a $12 bowl of ramen having to add things that make
The selection is pretty narrow -- ramen, rice bowls, filled buns -- so make sure you are in the mood for these. The success of Boke is in the quality and execution of the simple menu: handmade noodles and buns, amazing broth in the soup,
Kind staff and delicious bao! Excited to try more menu items.

Revisited for PDX #DumplingWeek2017 firan incredible trio of seared garlic chive #SpicyPorkDumplings with a side of pickled shitakes. Also, steam buns with beef brisket & house lemonade reminded me I need to come back more often :)
Delicious food! Inspired by Japanese & Korean cuisines but it's its own thing. I love their rice bowls and their many kinds of pickles. Vegan options are few but mighty. The decor is somewhat plain, but the space is bright & clean.
I was super lucky. I was with enough people that I could order nearly everything on the menu and share it. So I did. Their steam buns are good. The fried chicken steam bun... shut the hell up! they are stupid delicious! The pickle
Rice tots were best as a side. Crispa nd sauce was pretty delicious. kimchi was good, ramen bowls were good..baked tofu was great, pork was above average, broths were savory though pork tasted a bit fishy. Good place to check out!
Great food and fast service, even when they're packed. Their pork belly steam buns are perfect and the pork rice bowl has all the extras toppings you could want. Plenty of vegetarian dishes too - try the caramelized fennel ramen!
