TLDR; Best cup of coffee in the best coffee shop. Hands down. Look y'all. I've been a Black Coffee regular the entire 3 years I lived on the Eastside. It's only the second coffee shop I've ever sworn allegiance to. I have had literally HUNDREDS of cups of coffee here. I have tried coffee shops all over the Metroplex, and all over DFW. And this one is in my top 3...all. time. Out of every cup of coffee I've had...anywhere I've ever been. From Seattle, Montreal, NYC, Houston, and so many coffee shops in-between...this is one of the best lattes you will ever drink. And if you don't come for the coffee, come for the pastries. Man that guava tart is good. If you don't come for the food or the drinks...come for the vibes. The people at Black Coffee, L.O.V.E. the community they're in. They work in, for, with, as part of, around the Eastside. They are doing everything that you would ever hope a community business could possibly be doing, and doing it so well. Pic from one of my very first visits to Black Coffee when I was searching for any happiness to get me through the end of that pregnancy.

This morning I got the opportunity to drive to Black Coffee for my pre-worship service cup of Joe! I decided to try out the #brownSugarBabeColdBrew which they don't add the breve now. Instead it has cold foam on top which is what I wanted anyway! The cold brew was smooth with just a hint of sweetness, just the way I like my coffee. I prefer to taste my cold brew moreso than the sugary ingredients. I also ordered a pour over, straight- no cream no sugar. And I got to watch my barista make it. It's black coffee, just made in a different way. I could tell the grounds were fresh though, bold and robust! Loved it. I also got a chocolate milk with a little vanilla syrup for my little and a veggie breakfast sandwich! She gobbled it up before I could get more than three bites, haha. I had a wonderful experience, the coffee is fantastic! I saw others ordering the snickers latte and now I need to make another trip out for that ;) Today I brought my own cup to cut down on waste, I LOVE that Black Coffee let’s us do this!!! Thank you Black Coffee! Cool artwork btw!

This an excellent way to begin your day! Small and not so loud of a place offering a standout product. I have been exploring coffee here in DFW area for a little over a year. And I’m not a connoisseur nor an expert in the topic. But I’m a consumer! The amount of coffee shops that open in and through this pandemic is ridiculous. And I love it! This shop in particular is a rare gem. In my personal opinion, underrated! Coffee here is VERY good(excellent). Is full of flavor and not boring. Yes is not in a hype or popular neighborhood. But guess what!… it’s still serves an excellent coffee(in my opinion above most shops in dfw). Service is not pretentious at. This people clearly know what they are doing. And aren’t afraid to break the intimating stereotype most of coffee shops share. Totally recommend you the visit and experience the difference!

There is a small lot in the back and spaces around the front and side
Kid-friendliness
This is an adults only type place and none wants to talk over somebody's loud kid when conducting a meeting. This is in my opinion a "" KIDS SHOULD BE SEEN AND NOT HEARD" PLACE.
Wheelchair accessibility
The entrance is a very highstep in front and I found that very difficult plus the sidewalk around to the front is narrow, kinda, I saw no wheelchair ramp but I think the sidewalk starts at ground level and slopes up in the back.

This place is awesome, the menu and decor feel like a posh uptown venue but without all the overpriced atmosphere and attitude. Speaking of price, this place is more like a small town diner or Cafe when talking prices. You get upscale environment and phenominal artesian pastries and exceptional gourmet coffee and tea items at cafe prices. I have tried several different pastries but I'm not an adventurous coffee drinker. I get the iced mocha latte and usually some random pastry that peaks my interest at that moment. So compared to either a VERY well known national chain store or some of the other lesser known chains, this place is well worth the trip to skip all those other places. The chains are fine if you like basic, but if you're after exceptional, Black Coffee is the place to go. Located just one block south of Texas Wesleyan and right on the corner, you can't miss it. Try them out and maybe I'll see you there!

I was so excited to find a Black Owned Coffee Shop in the area that I often frequent several times a week . The Service unfortunately destroyed the whole experience !!!! The ambiance and music was nice, my chai latte, and my croissant was also good. UNFORTUNATELY The girl at the counter was unnecessarily rude and snappy. It was a Horrible experience, she Only spoke up to say "We don't have that" . Being unfamiliar with the menu I asked about sugar being added to my and the Rude young lady rolled her eyes and paused before she finally answered . What A Shame , Competition can be very Stiff when I can go to at least 3 other shops and get greeted with a smile and spend maybe $5 buck if that . But My sister and family today spent nearly $30 on coffee at Black Coffee to be treated so Poorly! Very sad she misrepresented this Beautiful Buisiness in such a way!!!!

I am officially obsessed with Black Coffee. Not only their mission to bring community and coffee in the eastside on Ft. Worth, but the overall experience at Black Coffee. I felt very welcomed into the space and the staff was very kind. When going up to order, I felt very guided throughout the process of being a newbie at black coffee. The espresso was very smooth and nutty, with the perfect amount of acidity. The calibration and the extraction was perfect and paired well through the beverage. I ordered another shot just because I prefer my espresso a little bit stronger than the standard amount. The creativity within this shop is very enlightening, and brings a unique characteristic about this coffee shop. I highly recommend black coffee, and definitely will become a regular.

OK, let's get into it. Off the bat, I had a great experience at black coffee this afternoon. I went to thenpcation looking for an iced coffee that was nothing short of excellent. From a quality perspective, the beverage beats anything you can get from a major coffee retailer. The service that was provided was fast, and the gentleman that took my order was very attentive. He also was very aware of the menu and could coach me through the process, as this was my very 1st time visiting this location. If I had anything to say at all from a feedback perspective, It would be that there needs to be a few sugar-free options for those of us who are trying to watch our waistlines. But even given that, I plan on being back at Black Coffee very soon. Great job, guys!

  • N M

Loved, loved, loved my visit at Black Coffee! Mia, the owner is personable, makes great suggestions, and a mean chai latte and cappuccino! The baked goods were scrumptious too. I chilled with my sister and daughter sipping my chai latte between laughing and catching up and reminiscing with family. Black Coffee has that kind of a vibe where my sister and I imagined a cat playing saxophone in the corner by the white modern sofa, another playing rimshots on a snare drum while a poet RAPped about culture and the injustices happening all around us. We applauded with finger snaps for the atmosphere, drinks and adventure today together before leaving Black Coffee with grins on our faces.

  • raina taylor

First impressions are everything. I was greeted upon entry; however, when I told the barista that it was my first time coming and I was a Starbucks drinker. She replied, "well we make real coffee here." I was not expecting a rude response, as I anticipated she would reply with how great Black Coffee's specialty coffees are. I asked what did she mean by saying, "we make real coffee." She went on talk about the size of the Macchiato in a rude and condescending tone. Additionally, my coffee was not called out when ready at the bar and she did not thank me when I left as she did with the other customers. At any rate, I will not be back.

Black Coffee is a quaint local coffee shop that is a perfect place to start your day. Located near the Texas Wesleyan campus, you'll be warmly greeted by a knowledgeable staff. During my first visit it seemed as if I was trying to order everything on the menu because everything that they had to offer sounded great. I'm not a big soft drink person, but I couldn't resist the blueberry mint pop on the menu. It was perfectly balanced, not sweet, and refreshing. Black Coffee has also adjusted their operations to successfully navigate the coronavirus restrictions. I'll definitely be back.

  • Ca'Tina Muhammad

This place came pretty highly recommended. So when I went today, and we received service which was quite underwhelming, brash and a bit dismissive, even after I made it known that it was our first visit, I was quite surprised . With that, we unanimously agree that the coffee, Chai tea lattes (3), the Mr. Grinch, the pumpkin bread and the croissant were vere pleasing to the taste.... Absolutely delicious. Thus, the three stars. However, I do believe people have bad days and sometimes our personalities don't come across as intended. And so, we will try it again another day

  • Emily Blevins

Just want to start off by saying this place & the girls who work here are amazing! Went in yesterday like I do every morning & my card was declined... they insisted that I take my drinks anyways & when I went in there this morning I tried paying for them & they did not let me. I used to drive all the way to Starbucks every day to get a coffee & I decided to try this place one day cause it is so close to me & I’ve been hooked ever since!! It’s such a great vibe in there and the girls are so sweet! Just love them!! I will never go to Starbucks again! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The coffee is good and you should try it but be aware that there are way too many people allowed inside and not a single customer is wearing a mask. The workers are which is nice, but there's no social distancing enforcement besides some tape on the floor that everyone seemed to ignore. I even watched a cop, who should be aware of COVID19 recommendations, hug, shake hands and high five an entire table full of gentleman and not a single one was wearing a mask while sitting inches from each other. Get your coffee and enjoy it elsewhere.

  • Holly Ha Nguyen

Loved the atmosphere. I got a salted caramel cold brew and it was pretty good. I felt some type of way about having my coffee and ham & cheese croissant just sitting at the counter when I was sitting down and was literally the only person in the cafe. I wish the staff could have brought it to me but I may just be feeling entitled... #innerKaren Overall I enjoyed the coffee. The ham & cheese croissant was nothing to write home about but the decor was very cute!

I have known about Black Coffee for awhile, but I only recently visited for the first time and I LOVED it! The chai tea latte with oat milk and honey was delicious! Chandler, my barista was adorable and super efficient and very friendly! The atmosphere is even nicer in person than the pictures! I splurged on a cookie and it did not disappoint! I came here for the first time this morning. I understand the five star ratings now. The service was great and the relationships between the customers and baristas seem like family relationships. It's pretty cool. It's also a good place to chat or study. I've been to quite a few coffee shops across the country, especially in California, and the coffee at this place can compete well with the best of them. The iced vanilla latte here was phenomenal. Probably one of the best I've ever had.

I went to Black Coffee located @ 1417 Vaughn Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76105 on Tuesday. I was hungry and they were out of potato and egg tacos. So I had me a homemade blueberry muffin instead. It was truly delicious. I also had a cappuccino and an herbal ice tea. Everything was exquisite and delicious. The vibes were extremely comfortable, inviting, peaceful, and chill. Great Neo-soul music playing. I drove all the way from Plano, TX to support my sister!!! I will definitely be back, and bring a date!

  • Joy Lamb

Today is my cousin's birthday. After church service. I decided to take her out for coffee and pastry to put a little on her stomach! I remembered hearing so much about Black Coffee ☕. This was both of our first time visiting. They did not disappoint. It was everything I heard and more. Staff was so friendly and patient. Nice, quiet, relaxing environment. Soft music playing and smells ohhhh soooo good when you walk in. It started our next adventures off perfectly!!! Thank you BLACK COFFEE ❤❤.

I had to stay at Fort Worth for two nights, and Google recommended this coffee shop to me. It's pretty close to the university, and I must say that I am really impressed with this coffee shop. Don't let the look of it's neighborhood deceive you from the fact that it is really good. Had almond croissant, potato taco, and berry latte. I'm impressed with how they don't add too much of sugar to their drinks.

Everything here is always so delicious! We love the snickers latte and the bakery items they offer to eat. Also, when we were there today, they offered to make our daughter a kid's snicker latte, which is just the regular version without the espresso, and she absolutely loved it and it made her feel so grown up. We will be coming back even more often now, because I know she'll be asking to go everyday. Great customer service, great coffee and food make for a winning combination!

  • Anna Vega

I went here on a Tuesday morning and I loved the vibes, coffee, and design. However, the place was kind of small and the place started filling up, so it got kind of loud. The atmosphere was great, but if you're looking for a quiet chill place, this wasn't it for me today. Definitely recommend for the coffee and breakfast!

Relatively small, but that's not a bad thing until you're the one that needs a table. LOL! The coffee was grand! The atmosphere was not uncomfortable! I wish coffee shops would use more comfortable chairs, though. They closed early for the holiday (Juneteenth), so we had to leave. I would've stayed longer, but I am thankful they were open. Good little place. I'll go back!

Y'all I just had the most delicious iced coffee!! The barista put me on game for this "off menu" drink. I felt so 'exclusive' Usually I just stick with ol american drip coffee with almond creamer and honey. But babbbyyyyy this Snicker Iced Coffee is the bee knees. Sorry, not sorry for the empty cup photo. I couldn't stop drinking I'm going to order another one on my way out. *If this was in Dallas I would go everyday. No hype.

Read about the shop on an online article and was excited to know that there's a local black owned coffee shop. I've been looking for a place like this since FOREVER! The Baristas were nice and I loved the vibe. A good selection of coffees, teas, etc. I can't wait to be able to have brunch and hangout there once this COVID stuff does down! So glad yall are in the neighborhood, when I visit my parents I'll pay a visit to yall too!

Black coffee is the utterly amazing. I stumbled upon this establishment with my husband. Their lavender coffee instantly boosts my mood. The atmosphere is so inviting & engaging. Soft music gently caresses your ears as you wait to order your coffee...which is always abundant in flavor. The artwork is insane and they have merchandise that I find super appealing. Staff is always friendly. Starbucks who!!!! Keep up the great job!

Coffee was only okay. I got an Americano that was VERY weak. They added an extra shot that didn't change much (it was the tiniest shot I've ever seen). I guess the coffee is just light or really weak. The green tea latte looked good so I'll try that next time.

I had been looking for a coffee shop in Fort Worth that was local owned. Over Starbucks over priced breakfast while I worked post workout. Ordered the Flavored Latte:Lavender... because why NOT take risk and 2 tacos. There’s bar stools and tables with plugs! Atmosphere is eclectic and modern. I will probably drive out of my way to do some work here... Afrobeats while I work too. *kmt*

The coffee was excellent. I always test new coffee places by ordering an espresso shot to gauge the quality of the roast. I was not disappointed. Good social distancing measures and use of masks were enforced (I absent-mindedly pulled mine down while ordering and was asked by the Barista to pull it back up, haha). Glad that this quality of coffee exists in East Fort Worth.

Black Coffee (locally owned) is a GEM. Located near Texas Wesleyan University it's a great spot that has an easy going ambiance and friendly atmosphere. Of course, you can get good coffee, tea, hot chocolate and a nice pastry at Black Coffee but it's also a place to meet up with family/friends, business associates and talk or just sit back, relax and reflect on your day.

  • Pia Haynes

Great ambiance, clean, but most importantly, FABULOUS COFFEE!!! We tried a summer special and it was delicious. My son said I've never had blueberry coffee - you can taste flavors and not just "sweet". Actually, the drink was just the right level of sweetness. Smooth and strong coffee for sure!

I visited today and had a wonderful experience. Mia, the owner, was friendly and her staff was as well. This spot is in a great location near Texas Weslayan, and the cold brewed coffee was the strongest I've ever had. I also had a "sausage bomb!" Will I return? Absolutely. Should you visit and support a black. owned business? Again, ABSOLUTELY! You will not regret it.

This is a great place to hang out have some of the best coffee anywhere and the nicest folks in this messed up world if ours. I have no idea what it is but from the employees to the patrons it's like you step into a different world. Everyone that comes is great and one can't leave Black Coffee without gaining a brighter outlook on the day. Keep it going Black Coffee.

  • LaTamara Taylor

We finally made it to get some coffee... the line was long, but well worth the wait. We purchased two iced coffee: Iced Mocha w/Almond milk and Iced White Chocolate w/Almond milk and they were delicious! The only suggestion I have to make ordering easier... have pictures and names of some of your Best sellers and specialty drinks to make ordering more efficient.

  • Paul Cherry

The Black Coffee roast is unique and full of life. I haven't gotten a chance to visit the cafe, but I have ordered their coffee for delivery and was delightfully surprised at the full bodied texture, aroma, and flavor that played with my taste buds. I put Black Coffee on the top of my favorite coffee varieties. One of these days, I'll even make it to the shop.

  • Linette Miranda

Glad I found this spot. Thousand times better than starbucks and bonus you're supporting a small business! Honey rose latte with oat milk is delicious!! I love my coffee strong and flavorful, not too sweet either, and the latte is just that. I should try others but for right now I'm just stuck on that. Definitely run if you can because they close early.

  • Clarissa B

Cozy little coffee shop located next to TWU. Clean facility and ample parking. I order Carmel mocha latte w/almond which was delicious. I also order a potato egg and cheese taco and the pumpkin bread. I wasn’t a fan of either but they do get these from local shops. Even though I’m not a coffee drinker I would definitely visit again just for the coffee.

  • Josie Powell

I got the seasonal salted Carmel cold brew and it was LIFE CHANGING. So good, I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a calm place to study/ enjoy a nice cup of coffee. The barista was really nice as well.

I recently moved to the area and have not had the chance to find any local coffee spots. Today my boyfriend and I ordered curbsidef here for the first time and the latte I got is one of the best I've ever had! I really appreciate them having the option for oat milk as I'm not able to drink regular milk. I'm really excited to go back!

  • Artist Chic

Been there twice now and each time was enjoyable. Friendly employees, laid back atmosphere(enjoyed the music), and delicious coffee of course. The chai tea sold me, it had just the right amount of sweetness. My mother instantly loved the caramel flavored latte I bought for her. I believe I may have another favorite coffee spot.

  • Miguel R

I’ve been to nearly every coffee shop in Fort Worth and this is easily my favorite. The east side has desperately needed something like this. The coffee is great, customer service is super friendly, and the atmosphere is so relaxing. I love this place so much, highly recommend checking it out. Right across from Texas Wesleyan.

  • Chris Jeter

Full disclosure, I don't drink coffee, so this review is not comprehensive. I like their tea and other non-coffee offerings. And I especially like the atmosphere - the baristas are always super friendly, the shop is quaint and not loud or chaotic, so it's a great place to relax or do some work. I recommend Black Coffee!

Loved the vibe here. The pour drip coffee was tasty even for me who doesn’t like plain black coffee. The latte was delicious and my sister tried the Lady Marmalade and she was happy with her choice. Even though I’m not into rose flavored anything I dug it too! Highly recommended! Try everything!!!

  • Paisha Lusk

My first experience at Black Coffee. I will return. Small menu but full of flavor and the classics. The honey walnut cream cheese for my blueberry bagel was AMAZING!! Breakfast tacos are available and other merch. Nice decor and mural outside the business. Near Texas Wesleyan University. #dfwbor

This is a great little coffee shop right next to the Texas Wesleyan campus. They make really fun and delicious drinks and they sell their own beans so you can grab some while you're there. Do yourself a favor and try it, grab one of their pastries while you're at it. They're amazing.

One of the best places to get coffee. Everyone who works there is so nice and the shop is always clean. My favorite pastry to get is the almond croissant. They have fun cultural events too. The owner Mia is awesome and she has created a great spot to drink coffee and work/study

Lovely locally owned coffee shop. Clean and comfortable inside. Good assortment of standard coffee drinks. Unfortunately, they were out of coconut milk on my visit so I wasn’t able to try the intriguing Piña Colada with espresso, pineapple juice and coco milk. Next time!!

  • Ty Carter

Professional staff as always. Study here every Sunday and it's always a great experience! I drive 15 minutes to get here even though there are other coffee spots within walking distance of me!

Finally made over to Black Coffee and I love it. I had an iced lavender latte and my hubby ordered the hot lavender latte. I also picked up a cruffin. The store is cozy and cute! Customer service was excellent!! I’ll definitely make my way back here. ☕️

  • Matt B

It's worth the stop! The lady working was super friendly and the cozy atmosphere really makes it hard to forget the experience. The drink was prompt, and also bold with rich undertones of roasted beans. Will love to visit again next time I pass through.

I just ordered an iced mocha with half and half (breve) and it is just right. Not too sweet, and not too bland. Love being a TWU student and having Black Coffee right by campus. Thank you, and will be back for that gingerbread syrup …

Super chill environment. Excellent coffee. Amazing customer service. Free WiFi. I was greeted and embraced by friendly and happy baristas. Everything was very neat and clean, like picture perfect. I’m never going to Starbucks or Panera again!

I am so glad we have a real coffee shop in Poly. The prices are great. Nothing is over priced. My husband got an espresso and I ordered Iced Tea. I love that they give Wesleyan students a discount. I think that will keep this business going.

The atmosphere is clean but the workers could be nicer and more decent. There were literally 3 sitting places inside with tables in the back and a bar with no stools so there was not enough sitting space. There could have been af least 2 to

I stopped here on my way to work this morning on the recommendation of a freind and I was not disappointed at all. A quick rundown of the location and building, it is very close to TWU, Rosedale St., and HWY 287, so fairly easy to get to.

I love Black Coffee. It is a beautiful experience. The customer service is wonderful, even the customers are friendly, it is a relaxing place with beautiful art, even my coffee ☕ was a master piece. The Lavendar honey latte is one of kind!

  • M Sanders

I love this place!! The coffee is fantastic. The vibe is great. The service is always phenomenal. The staff is always friendly and pay attention to detail and put designs on the top of my drink. This place couldn’t be any better!!!

  • Raul Herrera

Pretty cool place and I love how it set up but it's a bit too political for my liking. Like, one of the baristas yelled at a lady for taking a chair from another table because the coffee shop is still under CDC Covid guidelines.

  • Arika W

Some of the best coffee I've had in the DFW area I got the Snickers Latte which is perfect if you like sweet drinks, and my fiancé got the Honey Rose Latte which is more subtle. Will definitely visit again if we're in the area.

Great space in East Fort Worth. Excited to visit again to soak up the ambiance. The cold brew was excellent and service was too! First time to visit and look forward to go again when it's not 100° so I can try their espresso!

  • Christopher Bradley Lonberger

Great service, great clients. This is a must see and experience if you are in the TexWes/Poly Heights neighborhood. I hope this business grows and prospers. We need more community oriented businesses like this in our world.

  • Melissa Moreira

The barista that helped us was very friendly. I love the decor of the shop and how inviting the space is. I highly recommend trying the cinnamon roll - it was delicious! I will definitely be back whenever I am in the area.

  • Kayla Dewberry

Their latte's just hit different! The best I've ever had, super strong yummy flavor. The staff and owner are so sweet. Go check them out, you will not be disappointed!

Best coffee shop in Fort Worth. They’re friendly, unique atmosphere and great coffee make it the only place I’ll go now for my coffee. Highly recommend this place. So great to have something like this on the east side.

  • Jacklyn Orozco

I love this place! Super excited to have a local coffee shop on the Eastside! Much needed. Great coffee, friendly staff. This will be the only place I go for coffee and hanging out to work and meet people.

Awesome and super delicious coffee shop. Their cold brew is amazing to me. It’s strong and 12oz was enough for me to keep me going the rest of the day. Super cool and chill vibe at the shop. Support local!

Great coffee, excellent service! We had a hot Americano, and an iced caramel cold brew. Bright, clean, inviting inside. Ample parking with an easy in and out! A PERFECT addition to Fort Worth's Eastside!

Such a cool place! Fort Worth needs more funky coffee shops like Black Coffee. Great local coffee and great muffins! Everyone was so nice and welcoming! I bought a 12 oz. bag of Nicaraguan coffee beans.

  • Alyssa Vaught

We love this coffee shop. The vibe is so comfortable and the team is always pleasant. And the coffee is delicious. The sweet potato pie latte is incredible. One of my favorite coffee shops in FW.

  • G'Neva Horace

I’m back at it! Got my iced Butter Cup coffee and almond croissant. Whenever I’m in the area I stop for a cup of coffee. I’ve bought a t-shirt and a travel mug from here and I love them both.

  • Ms. Jo

Very friendly crew and delicious coffee! I recommend the Snickers latte with almond milk. They also have a contactless, easy to use online ordering system and convenient curbside pick up!

  • Casey Kleeb
