"Much smaller in size in comparison to Toronto Pearson"
Fantastic experience all around. The terminal is east to get to, clean, bright, not crowded, and it has everything you need while you’re waiting for your flight. Lots of seating of different types with plenty of outlets so you can get work done while waiting. No wifi or screens on Porter’s planes so download a couple shows on Netflix before you leave. Security is efficient and the agents are definitely more friendly than at Pearson. Coming in on the GO is so convenient, just grab the free shuttle from Union. It will wait until a second bus arrives so you’ll never be standing on the curb wondering where the bus is. On arrival it’s not unusual for me to be sitting on the train only 25-30 minutes after my flight lands because of the efficiency of the terminal and the shuttle service. Signage is a little confusing inside the terminal for people on their first visit if you’re used to larger airports. There are no gates, just doors to access where you board your plane. If you need help, just ask and people will assist you.
Let me tell you a joke. I was on a 6:00 flight to Boston and I arrived at the gate with 30 minutes to go. At the same time, there was an African-American on my left, a white man on my right, and I was yellow, and we were all on the same flight. The counter told me I needed to pay $180 CAD to change to the 8:00 flight and the black guy next to me needed to pay $240 CAD. And by this time the white man had already taken his boarding pass to security. The receptionist didn't explain why, and he didn't seem to want to explain anything. Couldn't believe this was happening in Toronto in 2023. The real magic realism is Porter Airlines.
A great airport! Simple, to the point, and just what you need. It is so well located downtown and quick access to everything in Toronto. It is such a breeze compared to any other airport that has massive congestion and is located far away from anything accessible. Landing here is a bit of a jolt on touchdown because the runway is not long. So brace yourselves and hopefully you don't have an open drink container. The waiting lounge is comfortable and has many amenities: restaurants, bathrooms, water refile station, various chair types, and loads ot tables to work from.

Much smaller in size in comparison to Toronto Pearson. You can either take a ferry or walk in the underground tunnel to get to the airport itself. The check in process was easy. Really enjoyed the lounging area, the airport is clean and convenient. The city views taking off is spectacular! I would very much rather fly out of Billy Bishop if I can.
I love this airport. Much better than the Pearson airport. No long line up for departure and arrival and you can park outside for FREE. The only problem is it doesn't have a US custom which means you need to go thru US custom in US which maybe a long line up. Just be careful when you drive there and don't enter street car lane.
I've never been in this airport and don't have a need to. I know for a fact, however, that Toronto Island residents hate it and want it gone. It's really not in the right place and only seems to serve those who don't have time to go to Pearson. This airport is a blight on the Toronto waterfront.
There is a guy who works at the gate booth who is extremely rude and has no respect. I commute here everyday for work and he is by far the rudest person who works here. Everyone else in the entire airport staff is extremely friendly and helpful, except for him.
I always enjoyed taking flights from here to Ottawa or New Brunswick avoiding Pearson international whenever possible. Conveniently located and easily accessible by public transit Uber or taxi. The addition of the tunnel is excellent clean and spacious
For passengers with accessibility needs, challenges arise when the elevator is out of order at YTZ. Contacting the airline for assistance may lead to delays. However, the airport's downtown location is convenient for domestic and US flights.
I picked up my daughter arriving on Porter Airways. Found a nice place to park along the curb on the roadway and was there for an hour at no charge before she arrived. I had driven from Newmarket at 7pm on a Monday night and was
Located in downtown Toronto, the Billy Bishop Airport Ferry Terminal is a convenient gateway for passengers flying at Billy Bishop Airport. This airport offers an alternative to the busier Pearson International Airport, making it an
Billy Bishop Airport is a hidden secret. Avoid long lines and hours of needless waiting at Pearson and fly downtown whenever you can. Use the tunnel to walk in or out. It's not a far walk and significantly faster than the ferry.
It is really practical. They can do a lot better on having a faster and smoother security check. Also available restaurants and café rate 1 star if we were to be generous. So the airport management can work on this.
Flying 1st time from here and this airport is awesome. It's not busy and not crowded like Toronto Pearson. Check in and security check is a breeze. If you, yourself know what to take and what not to take.
If you have heavy luggages, take ferry, its free. Every 15 min. If you have underground, you need to walk more. Ferry is comfortable, nice view will refresh your mind.
You can barely hear the ferry take off, I turned around and it was gone. Luckily I was watching my nephew and when I turned back he was still there. If that helps.
Picked up somebody coming in on Porter flight. Short stay parking spots where you can see people coming out of the terminal. Easy pickup even in the pouring rain
I arrived from Montreal but, my bag didn’t make it. The baggage agents assisted me in filing a claim and even gave me a home made coconut macaroon to sooth me.
That's my first time going to Billy Bishop Airport. It was a nice experience. I loved it easy to get there easy to leave lots of parking .
How does Porter get away with calling the waiting area a lounge. Horrible seats which doesn't recline & no running water in the lavatory.
Great looking airport, wonderful atmosphere and the ferry workers are friendly. Free shuttle busses are frequent and takes you to Union.
A must visit for people in Toronto. Also if you are flying to US from Canada choose this port as it is not too crowded like The Pearson
Great small airport. Lines at security and customs are fast, and there are good choices of food and drinks in the boarding areas.
Very smooth process! Sucks that porter doesn't do the lounge for all anymore other than that this is a good pass through airport
Billy Bishop Airport is very important and comfortable and very close to downtown it's good to save your money and time …
This airport is much more civilized then person with fewer flights coming and going. Be aware of fewer amenities when on site.
The toll booth operator was quite rude when I asked her a question about picking up arrivals. (I had never been here before")
Amazing experience. Clean, easy to navigate, friendly staff. The opposite experience of Pearson International Airport.
We had no issue flying out of this airport. The lives moved quickly and nothing was backed up when we were there.
This airport is the most convenient, uncrowded and fast airport to reach the entire north east of the continent.
Love this airport but damn it doesn’t open till 5am? I’m standing outside in the rain for an hour now as I wait
Great! Fun to take the ferry to the airport. Really easy. Staff are super nice. Walked on and off very quickly.
Very convenience to downtown Toronto, option to take the ferry to town and free shuttle bus to union station
Very convenient and welcomed. Porter lineups are much shorter then AC and on time!....for the most part.
There are two ways how to get to the airport, this Ferry Terminal or use simply tunnel and the water.
Clean and cozy place. Aviation lovers will enjoy this airport for splendid view of the city skyline.
This airport is a gem! The people who work here are the nicest airline staff I've ever encountered
Small airport. Lounge should have bigger as there were lot of passengers waiting even in weekdays.
Convenient if you are near Toronto but avoid if you live far due to traffic situation in Toronto
Not that busy and easy to navigate. They also bumped our flight up so we could get to mtl faster
What a wonderful "humain scaled" airport. We should have more like this. J'espère y revenir !!!
No power so couldn't use elevator so had to use stairs. No signs anywhere to make people aware
Not much there just an industrial, uninviting place to catch the world shortest ferry ride.
Quick and easy pickup/drop off. Flying through here is a breeze compared to Pearson lol
Worst security staff. They have no clue how to handle cars picking up passengers.
Crowded, but relatively efficient way to travel. Certainly better than Pearson...
Hope they never close this regional airport, Great service without lost luggage.
Nice, clean, modern place, easy to get around and very handy and convenient.
Small airport in city Easy accessible All necessary amenities present
Ferry terminal is only for vehicles, not for pedestrians/ passengers
Small airport, small parking lot. Designed for domestic flights
Fast, clean, easy... this is best airport for Toronto. Trust me
Perfect for those who live downtown taking short haul flights.
It's not crowded here. Almost no waiting to take a flight.
Great airport, no hassles, easy parking or dropping off.
Fast and efficient. Very convenient and accessible.
A bridge would be better in every conceivable way.
Airport with the best landing and take off view!!
Small, easy to get in and out, not super busy.
Billy is a dude! He gave me free beer!! …
Feels like a bus stop tbh .. crew is nice ..
Always very clean and great friendly staff!
Only cuz porter is the worst airline ever.
Ferry was broken. Maybe fixed tomorrow.
Nice to make trip through this airport
Very clean airport compared to Pearson
Terrible parking and access is a mess
Very good ferry ride. Amazing staff
Air Canada Lounge is very upscale!
Good ✈️ to fly out of /less hassle
the only airline that I will use
Always easy, wonderful airport
Good way to get to the airport
World's shortest ferry ride!
Great friendly convenient
The tunnel is king now.
Nice. Clean. Modern
Nice small airport.
Very cool airport
Nice short ride
