My experience was not very pleasant with the customer service since I went with my teenage children to buy them backpacks for school but it seems that they did not want to sell the backpacks first because they are at the top of the store and you have to ask for help to get them down That's where I realized that no one has the slightest intention of helping. Also, by asking for one of the backpacks to be taken down, the employee's excuse was that they were very expensive, giving me to understand that I couldn't afford them Her comment was very rude to me. And when paying the cashier she did not answer when I spoke to her as if she were angry and her attitude was also very rude to me, please look for employees who are more charismatic and kind to people. (In the end I bought the backpacks I needed, but I left very disappointed in that store in Encino CA it was the first and last time I go there).

The customer service was great and the girl who help me out was so helpful and professional service she even help me get an online coupon for 10.00 dollars off she make my experience a 5 star plus definitely I'm going back there to do more shopping and I will updated the name of this great cashier!! Love them.. Update: Like I said I went back to get another pair for my son but sadly this time my experience with my shopping was poor with the customer service especially with the cashier who took care of me VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND BAD ATTITUDE I BELIEVE HER NAME IS VANESSA IT'S ON THE RECEIPT AVOID THIS GIRL SHE SHUT BE MOVED TO ANOTHER STORE OR GET ANOTHER POSITION LIKE STACKING SHOES.. SHE IS NOT THE SAME 1 FROM THE OTHER DAY. ONLY THE GUY WITH GLASSES IN THE ENTRANCE GIVE ME A GOOD WELCOME AND HE EVEN REMEMBER ME BECAUSE WHEN I ENTER HE TOLD ME WELCOME BACK.

When I shop for sports apparel or accessories I prefer an actual store over buying online. Big5 is one of the last sports stores and the Encino store is great. They offer a good mix of various brands and prices-a little of everything. My only issue is that the store is a bit small in terms of area so it's a bit cramped.

A shout out to Tierney for the terrific service I received the other day when I was in to buy some athletic footwear. She was very helpful and suggested alternatives that turned out to be better than what I was looking for. It was really terrific customer service. Thank you!

I just want to thank big 5 and their awesome customer service, Vanessa helped me yesterday to locate my favorite sunglasses and found a store that had them and had them hold it for me. That was awesome and she made my search easy. Thanks again

The store is small with street parking. I am not sure if they have their own parking lot as I walked to the store to do a return. The staff is helpful and my return was quick and easy. It is a good neighborhood location to get what you need.

This Big5 has a lot of selection of running shoes working boots hiking boots casual hiking socks of sportswear backpacks fishing gear you name it, a little crowded down the aisles it's okay because you find everything that you need,& more.

Meh... Came here to buy running shoes. There was only one guy to help ... With multiple customers buying shoes. Took so long and I had to leave. Ended up buying shoes elsewhere. Good selection and decent prices but needs more staff.

I love this shop! They have really good quality items. From fishing to golfing ⛳️ roller skating ⛸️ ⛷️ and sports shoes this shop is small but have everything! Service is great, I definitely recommend

The store looked good, well stocked and organized. The items I needed were easy to find and in stock. The staff was extremely friendly and pleasant to interact with. Great free parking behind the store. What more could I ask?

Everyone at this location was polite and helpful, with One Glaring Exception. I don't know how Vanessa has a job there, much less being a manager. I have rarely met such a rude person, both to customers and her staff.

Love that Big 5 lives on. With all the other stores that have died off... they keep on ticking. Reasonable prices with great selections. Sporting goods are just something I cant understand why people buy online.

A lot of good stuff, but certain things are packaged and i did not buy it, for it has no way to try it. Wanted to buy ankle waits and put it on. Coukd not open sealed package. Bad idea. Service is mediocre

I got a great deal on my Kershaw knife. $50 knife for $20 on sale. I also got a good flash light for keeping around the house at a bargain. I was in a rush and they were open late which helped me out.

Very uninformed staff, almost rude when asked a question, and refused to honor a military discount policy.... because the person behind the register was clueless and disrespectful... won't go back.

Staff here are really helpful and very kind. I showed up a minute before closing and they were kind enough to make a recommendation on a BB gun that had gone rogue on me. Great store, great staff!

I went there looking for a sale item, and they were sold out. Luckily, Andres happily recommended calling other stores and found one for me. He reserved it for me to pickup after work today.

For those looking to purchase ammo this store does not carry any due to the city ordinance imposed on them. Aside from that the store is like any other big 5, nothing really to brag about.

The store was well organized and the staff was really friendly. The stores on the small side but it has everything that you need. I highly recommend this location, parking is in the rear.

I went there with my 3 kids to buy snow equipment. The team there was very nice to us helpful and friendly. We recommend this place.
