I feel very sorry for the many helpful people at the school and the wonderful community for leaving this review. But it's not a cheap educational investment, and getting information from different angles is very important for any investment. So I would like to leave my personal experience here as a reference for parents who are looking for a best environment in Bangkok to their children. I had a major complaint about their Japanese class and spoke to the teacher. The conversation with the teacher itself was constructive and positive, she well listened to me and the teacher cried from regret against what she should not do and admitted her fault and promised to improve. And indeed the content of the class seems to have changed. However, a meeting with the headteacher was arranged afterwards, and I was called in and accused of being "a fibber", they just repeated it is "impossible"to happen because she is a wonderful skilled teacher. I didn't tell them, or rather they always interrupted me and didn't want to hear anything. I had obtained a 97 deviation(not score, diviation) in that subject when I was highschool age, and I was tutoring students for the most difficult university entrance exams in that subject which is not my major when I was university student. The subject is not even their mother tongue, just insisted that their 3min cup noodle assessment with full personal views is more accurately than I did. I was taken aback by what a shallow and messy way of thiking. Even though the teacher herself admitted the problem. It was as if the school wanted to pretend that the issue itself had never happened. They appeared they didn't care at all what happened to their student in fact. While on the above topic, I also enquired about her advertising school events on her side business personal account which obviously doesn't look good, because her account name meant"I have a messy personality" in Japanese, the handle name is painful, at least not a name used by good schoolteachers. (please see attached) I didn't mean anything but to protect shcool value itself but their answer was "Do not stalk our teacher" and I was like I didn't understand what they were talking about for few second. If the school allows it, just say so. I don't say anything about their advertisement policy and literacy even their teacher's handle name sounds like a "psycho". Those conversations took place in a closed room by two intimidating men. Thus, this school's policy is to try to silence a parent by intimidating a parent into changing the subject when a parent raise an issue, there is no consideration nor caring about students progress and parents concerning. This is something I found out because I happened to raise the issue. And it was just one corner of a visible problem I thought. It depends on your view of what is the best education. Subjectly(I'm a graduate from top tier school in Japan)their education is average or bit lower with the IB-based British curriculum. I am not too nervous about a child's academic achievement, therefore until this series of irrational events, I did not come to the point where I decided to change schools. But at least I couldn't bring myself to place my children in a school managed by people who can't make a dispassionate judgement based on multifaceted information. That's my experience, thank you for reading it at length.

i’ve attended this school as a student since i was 4, and i have been learning here for 11 years, up until now (Y9). today we just finished our last day of the year, and i had to say my emotional goodbyes to the amazing friends that i’ve made here... and I am leaving for personal reasons. but bangkok prep is definitely a school where you would love every minute you spend there. lovely teachers, staff, classrooms and other areas around the school etc. bangkok prep holds high standards and throughout these past 11 years, i’ve grown insanely attached to this school and it breaks my heart to say goodbye. if you’re looking for a school that is filled with care for your child, this is your go-to choice and bangkok prep will be your best friend. the support and the love i’ve been shown this past year through my struggles, i’m overwhelmed with (in a good way). it’s safe to say that bangkok prep is definitely an amazing school and i’ll always cherish the memories that i’ve made here with the happiest thoughts. <3

I cannot say enough good things about this school. I felt inclined to write a review this morning when my 7 year old son said "I love my school!" randomly at breakfast. And I love it too, as do all of the parents I have met since he started this term. The teachers are amazing and seem to love working there. And I get to be as involved as I want with the parents volunteer group who organize all the events, and I can see that everyone knows everyone. And because it is a mid-range sized school your child doesn't get lost in the mix. We hear quite often at school that it is the "best school in Bangkok" and now I am realizing why. It seems to have been a hidden secret amongst the expats so thankfully we ended up here!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire school management at Bangkok Preparatory School for the excellent arrangements done by them for the vaccination for school kids families and taking the initiative of thinking and caring about the extended school community. It speaks volumes of how the school management thinks of their students families as their own extended family and an extended school community overall. Please pass on our appreciation and warm regards to all involved in this noble cause. Kind regards and All the Best for all such beautiful work in the future

Outstanding teachers offer quality education in an inspiring and accessible manner. Our time at Bkk Prep has been a positive experience. We were all unfortunately impacted by the pandemic, and lessons had to be done online. BKK Prep was more prepared for this than any other institution that I have come across, with platforms already in place, and teachers eager to teach in a new and unprecedented manner. My kids have grown academically and socially in this environment that promotes respect and compassion while nurturing an eagerness to learn.

My child used to be a student at Bangkok Prep. - Real Nightmare. Do not go to this school if you want your child to experience real western life and learn real good English. True, it used be a good school until 2 -3 yrs ago but they started taking too many Thai and Japanese....It seems like that they are accepting anyone who applies to collect tuition fees since they opened the new campus in On Nut. So sad. Unfortunately, the way they run business had dropped the quality of education and students.

My daughters are always happy to go to school and full of smiles when we pick them up. Many friends at school and amazing teachers, many learning activities and event proposed. The school provides a rigorous academic programme of high standards.  The school approach places a strong emphasis on children development as critical and reflective thinkers, on life values, responsible global citizenship. What we like most is the community feeling of the school.

  • Rekha Kriangsaksakul

This is my child's 9th year at this school. I have always seen the constant intention to improve the quality of education, facilities and teaching staff. The entire school ethos is about inclusivity as there is a zero tolerance for bullying policy. This wholesome mindset that has elevated the school to new heights. My child has blossomed into a confident young individual in this positive environment, and has made friends for life.

The address in google shows sukhumvit Soi 23 but is actually Soi 49 Looks good , good location , nice teachers , nice environment and facilities Fees have sky rocketed to over 30% a year from last year and you need to pay 140,000 baht per child as registration fees Overall will cost you over 600,000 or 20,000 usd for just 1 year at the amazing school That’s lots of money to declare if they have 1000 students as claimed

A well organized and professionally run Covid-19 vaccine day Very well prepared documents received for completion before arrival. These included comprehensive information documents covering all essential details. This proved effective on the day assisting the well organized staff to process everyone in a calm and professional manner. Well done Bangkok Prep Secondary School.

I have the privilege of having my son in Bangkok Prep and this is his 8th years. at the school the education and friendship he has found in the school with the rest of his friends and teachers make me awake every morning with hope and happiness despite these difficult times we all are living . Thanks very much Bangkok Prep

  • Nam Tirasrisombat

My daughter was in year 4 at this school, and she loved going there due to the cozy environment, superb teachers, and the numerous extracurricular activities (ECAs) available. There are so many ECAs in this school that I can confidently say it's the best place for your child.

  • Moldychez

Not bad of a school at all! Amazingly built and great education. I've been in this school for 3 years now and I have experienced quite some bullying (I've been bullied for absolutely no reason) and some students aren't so nice. On the other hand, the counselor is wonderful!

  • Pilsa Y

The Very Best International school in Bangkok. I need to say thank you for the very best Covid-19 management at school & Vaccination management for all parents & students. Really appreciate this!! Our kids really happy to be back to school once again. Thank you so much.

  • Melvin Roper

School is very Thai and Korean dominated, academics are fine but community is sub optimal. Highly reccomend seeing counselor if you go to this school. Also school is very liberal do not expect different view points to be very showcased or tolerated

  • June_한글이아빠

This school doesn't provide proper information when it comes to admissions They works only for the benefit of the school. The admission fee alone is $200. It is thought to be a place where foreigners do business by utilizing the environment …

  • Tochathorn Somjaivong

One of the best schools in Bangkok, great teachers and caring school staff team, that cares for its people and communities. We particularly like that the school provides students with great learning opportunities and treat them with respect.

  • Matt Mayer

Beautiful campus. From August 2023 both primary and secondary will be based at this location. Good school community, with lots of events and activities. Welcoming for new students. A good mix of nationalities. They follow the UK curriculum.

  • kimberley goodburn

Bangkok Prep is one of the best mid-sized school in Bangkok. It allows students to express themselves as well as helping the students develop in the areas that they enjoy or like. The sports in the school extends from beginners to elites …

  • 高橋かたな

There is a problem with management. The pick-up and drop-off times are chaotic. The level of the transportation driver is low, and the driving morale of the parents is low. It is very inefficient and everyone involved is stressed.

  • Legend Garner

Bangkok prep is one of the best schools in Bangkok, I’ve studied here for ~5 years and can say that bkkprep is a well rounded school being good at everything, however some westernized views are not usually respected at this school

Nightmare. Worse school experience we ever had. Maybe good for some Thai children who never experienced real western education. It's just money making place. Business. Nothing to do with real values and education.

  • Waris Lekhakul PT2-TH
