I had been going to a late night pharmacy in my area for years. (My area being about a ten minute drive from this pharmacy). I was in at my regular pharmacy a few weeks ago, and two young girls came in. One of them had blood pouring from both her arms, and her eyes were rolling around in her head and she was shouting out a whole lot of things that didn't make any sense. The other girl was totally normal and explained to me that she had found this hysterical girl walking into traffic on a busy road and had brought her "here" because she saw a neon light that said "PHARMACY". So, while the extremely disturbed girl was knocking over row after row of the shelving, I was telling the pharmacist to call an ambulance and put a f...ing bandages on her arms. The pharmacist (who was very young) said "I can't call the ambulance without her ID and I can't put bandages on her because I am not a doctor". As the mother of a similarly aged girl, I don't think I've ever felt quite so angry in my life. I ripped a few packets of bandages of the shelves, and began to bandage the girl myself, and told the frightened pharmacist that she didn't have any ID on her, and that I would report him if he didn't phone an ambulance (I would have phoned them myself, but I needed two hands) The frightened pharmacist must have heard me, because within minutes the paramedics arrived, and then I left them to it. The pharmacist was hiding behind his counter. I walked up to him and gave him the lecture of his life. Anyway, I then discovered this wonderful late night pharmacist in Balwyn. Because of my work, I often cannot get to pharmacies until well after 9pm or 10pm. This pharmacy has a much better feeling to it (I never did like the other place, but I thought it was my only option). Here, at the pharmacy in Balwyn, you can tell that they are not a bunch of kids who are pharmacists just because they didn't get a high enough ATAR score to get into medicine! (That's what my daughter tells me most young pharmacists are - lol). No - Here, they actually WANT to be pharmacists and it's very obvious that they are highly experienced and love their job. Even at very late hours, they are friendly and pleasant to deal with. I am very glad I've found them.

This pharmacy has been here for many years under different companies and I've always found the staff to be friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. However, we had an urgent need to find a 24 hour pharmacy last week after a gruelling 6 hour wait at BH hospital ED, which we left at 2am without being seen. Fortunately we had a prescription for pain relief from a doctor's visit earlier in the day so went to the Balwyn Day and Night Pharmacy which had recently become a 24 hour service. The staff member on duty, Jenny, was FANTASTIC and not only gave us a lot more assistance than we had received at the hospital ED, but even after we left, she continued to research our medical issue and contacted us a couple of times by phone to update us on what she had learnt. This was of immense value as we were totally in the dark about what to do or not to do and the doctor we had seen had given us a script for a product that was not meant to be dispensed for home treatment (an eye anaesthetic additional to oral pain relief). Non-medically supervised use of it could have resulted in ulceration and blindness, so it was a great relief after getting no information from the hospital to find someone who was prepared to do the research, including contacting the Eye and Ear hospital. I went in around midnight and I was expecting to be greeted by a depressed pharmacist, because lets be honest, who really wants to work a night shift. My expectations however were exceeded when I met the on duty pharmacist Jenny. Jenny went above and beyond to ensure my medication was right for me. Jenny showed kindness, compassion and was genuinely friendly. These are assets that you can't fake and I hope the owner of the pharmacy realises this and give Jenny a $$$! Jenny also provided my with some skin care goodies I was feeling really ill however this really turned my mood around. This service is what is missing from the larger chains and from now on I will be returning to this chemist everytime! Thank you again Jenny!

My daughter was very sick on 31st of August. She was vomiting and feeling nauseous . We went emergency department in the hospital early in the morning 1st of September and then we went to 24 hour Balwyn day and night Chemist. The chemist helping us, Jenny was very helpful. Jenny gave us good sound advice on the right medications for my daughter. She listened to carefully to the symptoms my daughter said. Jenny was very professional and caring in her approach. She contacted the doctor who visited us at home a few hours and recommended a better medicine for my daughter. We are so grateful for the service we got at the chemist especially 2 to 3 o'clock in the morning. I will no doubt recommend people to go to the chemist.

I had to use this Chemist after hours to get a prescription filled of (28) tablets filled that typically cost about $26 at Chemist Warehouse and other pharmacies. The cost at this chemist was $41 ---- and a few weeks later again after hours I needed half the box (14) of the same tablets and the cost was still somehow $36 , half a box this week at CW cost me $14. I don't think I'll be rushing back to this extortionist any time soon and being interrogated by rude pharmacists on previous occasions about what your doctor has prescribed you to manage a broken back doesn't make the experience anymore enjoyable !

Jenny is the best pharmacist I have ever encountered and a truly fantastic woman overall. I arrived in severe pain only to discover I received incorrect medical advice from a scam doctors website and Jenny went above and beyond contacting multiple doctors and calling to ensure that I received correct medical advice AND that my prescription was accurate. She has enormous compassion and in my crying state she comforted me and provided me with additional over the counter medication that would allow me to be comfortable and to sleep. Never been so grateful. Thankyou so much 10/10 service

Throughly happy to give the pharmacy a review. Didn't even know there was a 24hr pharmacy near Box Hill, but luckily found them after being discharged from the ER at 6am in severe pain, needing to fill a script for pain meds which I was due to take there and then. Jenny was incredibly helpful and sympathetic, and made the whole situation much easier to deal with. Thank you Jenny for your excellent service. Have recommended the pharmacy to everyone I know and especially all my parent friends so they know there is somewhere they can get emergency children's medication over night.

Definitely the best pharamacy I've been to and being open 24hr is such a huge relief when i have to work i dont have to worry about fitting in time to go (also parking is great late at night so you can park right outside the doors) Jenny the pharamacist was absolutely amazing, extremely helpful and informative She was able to give me multiply options to decide on so I could choose the best way that suited me to get better she definitely knew her stuff which is very comforting to when dealing with many medications I had a great experience and will be back for sure

When you need a pharmacy at any hour, this place is open 24-hours a day and has everything you could possibly want from a chemist/pharmacy and at very reasonable prices considering they are open 24/7, they could charge a high premium but they don't which is very decent of them. Security guard on duty for late night customers and pharmacists safety. I commend this business for providing this very important service for when you can't wait until normal business hours to have your medical needs met.

Last night 24/9/2022 I went into the pharmacy because I couldn’t get in to see a doctor anywhere I had very bad ear pain. The pharmacist was extremely rude when I asked for some pain relief she directed me to the Panadol which I already had at home I told her that I needed something a little stronger due to the severity of my ear pain she was extremely rude and acted disgustingly if there was a 0 star rating that’s what I would have gone with not the 1 star she should be sacked

Rudest chemist woman ever! This used to be the best pharmacy until the last few years.. She's rude to everyone. There is another pharmacist that is ok. Just the one that's full of hatred. Update: since I left this review, I received a follow up call from the pharmacy and I have noticed a much nicer vibe and more respectful experience at this pharmacy. My fiance and I just popped in to pick up some cold and flu tablets for my fiance and the store assistant, Jenny, was extremely helpful and gave us some tips on alleviating his symptoms. She also helped me with some skin concerns that I had. I've never had a bad experience at a pharmacy per se but Jenny's service was above and beyond and it's set a new standard for me. Very friendly, helpful, and sincere...and at midnight too! Thank you Jenny!

I have always had great customer service experiences at this pharmacy. Tonight I went in after a long shift at work to refill a prescription and was served by Jenny who was super friendly and helpful, she gave me some tips about my medication that I had never been told by a doctor even though I've been on it for years. She really raised my spirits after work and it's great that the pharmacy is open 24/7 so that I can rely on it in the future.

Zero stars. The chemist was very unhelpful. Did not seem to know that she can dispense a couple of days supply of an expired prescription if your doctor is uncontactable. Every other chemist does this (TGA website spells it out) - until u can get an appt with your doctor. It’s New Year’s Eve - all the other Chemists were shut and she was arrogant and unhelpful - in an emergency situation. Shameful treatment of a senior 66 yo

When I ran out of an important script and only realised after 9pm, I scrambled around looking for a late night chemist (with not much hope), and found this location. I didn't have high hopes going over late at night but service was friendly, prompt, and much to my surprise there was no vig on script pricing as is so common with other late night chemists. Knowing that this exists in the local area is a massive benefit.

Open 24 hrs, Jenny was incredibly helpful when I visited at 2:30am. When the system failed she handwrote my scripts and when I couldn't pay by card due to the system she accepted the little cash I had and paid for the rest out of her own pocket! She didn't let me leave without my medication, she was very sweet. There's also a security guard present at night. Would 100% recommend this pharmacy, it's big too.

Very friendly pharmacy, particulary there is one staff called Jenny. She has been very patient and helpful. On next day, I forgot to put my amoxycillin in the fridge. They even call the pharmacy company to ask me if it is all right and get back to me very efficiently. I never post the comments to any other organisation and this time I would recommend you guys to come there. Very great people over there!

We were absolutely impressed with our visit to the pharmacist last night. Especially with the expertise, knowledge and professionalism with Jenny who, at one look of the doctor's prescription, pointed out that it was a wrong dosage. She called the doctor right away and had it sorted out, giving the doctor a quick tutorial on the recommended dosage from the children's hospital. Thanks jenny. Great job

It's fantastic to have a 24h pharmacy available in the Balwyn area. Staff were very friendly and helpful when I arrived at 11pm. They gave advice on which medication my toddler could take, which ones could be taken together and what I should watch out for in case my bub's condition worsened. Was also told that they would soon have a nurse on their late night staff which is very comforting.

All the staff here are really lovely. The pharmacist who handled my medication and gave me advice was super kind and caring. I got apologised to and thanked multiple times for the long wait (which honestly wasn’t even that bad). She made what could have been a stressful situation very calm and she made sure I had all the information I needed to feel confident and comfortable.

My Only go to pharmacy. It’s awesome because this place is open 24/7 which is super convenient especially if you get sick during the night. Tonight I was assisted by Jenny and she’s an absolute star, extremely knowledgeable and provides excellent customer service. In fact each time I’ve come in the staff have been great. I have been to a lot of pharmacies and this one has the best service and the prices are substantially lower than other pharmacies. I have always walked out with a wealth of knowledge and what the medication helps with. Had the privilege of dealing with Jenny twice and she is fantastic. Always asked me if I had any questions and she is very friendly and knowledgeable.

We were so relieved to find that Balwyn chemist is open 24 hours. Last night we had wonderful service from the night pharmacist who gave generously of her time and expertise. I’ve used Balwyn Day & Night Pharmacy twice late at night/early hours of the morning. There was a Security guard on the door who let me in. On the second time, it was the night before I was due to fly overseas. I needed advice on a medical issue and was given suggestions as to what to buy to help.... it worked so well. Tried to buy a MYKI here and was told by a supercilious young woman that that they didn't sell them and hadn't done so for six months, her manner was contemptuous and totally uncalled for. A simple "Sorry we don't sell them anymore" would have sufficed, won't be back for anything. I've given a one star rating as that's the minimum required.

Last night I had to pick up some medicine including an inhaler that I’ve never used before. Jenny was so amazing and sat with me the entire time making sure I used it correctly and also explained the medicines to me thoroughly. Last night I got called to my parents house as mum had cut her arm and bandaged it but it was still bleeding and quite a mess. We went to the pharmacy and met with RN Lynette who was amazing. Redressed the wound and reassured mum. All wonderful and saved a trip to the hospital or an after hours locum. We are so grateful you are there.

Fantastic finally a 24 hour chemist close to home Jenny was great for a late night visit at 10.30pm a life saver for an allergic reaction in my daughter... Excellent service from all. Came here at 10pm on a Saturday. Called beforehand to confirm that the meds were in stock. The pharmacist was very friendly and confirmed it. When collecting, the pharmacist was very knowledgeable. He provided detailed knowledge of the meds and was very pleasant. The whole team was very friendly.

So grateful that not only it's a 24-hours pharmacy but the service is very good! Jenny did an amazing job giving me advice and being so thorough with instructions. If anyone wants to ask questions that is personal, embarrassing or just shy in nature then I highly recommend Jenny. But of course overall the pharmacy is great!

What a great store! The young gentleman by the name of Trevor looked after my mother and my own scripts. Scripts were filled quickly, and he put great care when giving out and telling me all about my complex medication. I bet the rest of the staff are just as good. Will be back, for sure!!

Rude horrible lady, an absolute pig Came in looking for some allergy tablets, told her what I had taken in the past, told rudly pretty much they don't hacmve the brand. I said I know this however with my symptoms would anti histamine work, got spoken down to. Clearly not a pharmacist

Big thanks to Jenny for her care overnight. We called after midnight for advice and she made it clear we needed to come down to the pharmacy. Once we arrived she had all the products we needed ready at the counter and explained so thoroughly the medications and how to use them.

The pharmacist Jenny was super helpful and professional even at 4am in the morning! Having a committed guard made us feel safe while in the store even if it's Balwyn... The street signs aren't obvious if you're driving from Maccas towards the city. But it's definitely open.

This is the only pharmacy that told us about some free medications available with health care card. No other pharmacy bothered to inform us about this. My partner takes a lot of medication daily at a substantial cost. Always friendly, helpful service here.

Mobic brand tablets 2.5x the price of other chemist. Yes not a typo.. $26 at this place vs $11 elsewhere (same brand). I get that it's open late but seriously.. also despite saying no to brand preference they didn't provide generic.

Last night, about 1.00 am, my spouse had to get urgent medication for me. It was wonderful to find a 24 hour pharmacy and he was attended by a caring and helpful pharmacist, Jenny. She even passed on a phone message from me to him.

Nurse on duty is completely useless, 1st grad and they should get someone competent, spent 30mins filling in paperwork for the same process each month.
