Sat back and watched every staff member (3) and the 2 owners on their mobile phones. Staff adjusting their hair without washing their hands afterwords. 3 people serving one customer takes away that personal interaction. Maybe the owner should stagger staff starting times so they don't stand around giving the time to do this. I will not patronize this establishment for these reasons. Balfours is a iconic S.A. business being let down by these owners.

Doughnuts are consistently stale. Every time I have risked buying one they have been easily a day old. Not happy, did complain to Balfour's themselves who apologised and gave me a $5 voucher, they said a rep would take the issue up with the cafe owners. I bought a doughnut again a few weeks later, was absolutely awful, sweaty on the bottom, stale doughnut with brittle icing. Never again. Beware!

Stale Kitchener Bun - Yuck! I would be ashamed to sell something like that. Such a shame - Balfour’s used to be such a good and reliable source of sweet treats It’s Wednesday. The bun tasted like it was made on Monday. It should be illegal to sell backed goods without a baked on date

Your price hike over 2 yrs will kill this business $4:80 for a cold pie pastie sausage roll thats wat we are expected to pay at Coles n woollies would rather pay the same hot and fresh from a bakery that's actually full of meat etc shame on you balfours

Yes, i see that balfours city cross has been rating other places lowly despite being a store. Not sure how a store can rate things being that it is a place and not a person. Well just like you try to undermine the competition, I am undermining you.

I have been purchasing my morning coffee from Balfours City Cross for a number of years. Owners and staff are all fantastic people and their coffee is first class. Highly recommended Balfours City Cross.

I have been coming here for two years. Friendly and quick service. Coffee is cheaper and better tasting than neighbouring competitor Muffin Break. Pies are tasty and affordable. Will keep coming back.

Always loved this place, I miss the original Cafe from many years ago, its great to see the same people running it from the last time I was here about 7 years ago. Very friendly and prompt service.

I’ve had some coffee here, which were made by different baristas. All the time I was very satisfied with the quality of coffee, especially the milk form on flat white.

Balfours is far from my favourite choice of bakery treats, mass produced and second rate, my Vanilla Slice did not dissapoint, the coffee however was excellent.

staff are friendly, good for a quick bite but i’m just suggesting if your going to charge for tomato sauce to maybe add a little more then a dot :)

Staff always welcome me with a big smile and say thanks even if I buy a simple coffee. I come here everytime I fancy a coffee in the afternoons.

Balfours Chocolate fudge cake. I remember them when l was little girl mum buy one for my Birthday every year. Then Balfour's stop making them.

The beans are fantastic, which is exactly why the long black is the best I’ve ever had! Also, the frug cake is a must’ve!!!
