1. Food quality: Bake Bakery is an outstanding local bakery with a large selection of breads, sweets and savoury goods. They also have a coffee machine and sandwich bar. I go in almost every week and pick a roll to make a sandwich with and it's always filled to the brim. Staff will put on whatever you like and there is a large range of meats and salads to add. Only a few sauces though. The hot savoury pies/pasties/sausage rolls/kranskies are all top notch. They're large, full of filling and taste great. The kranskies used to be thicker and not as long, now they seem to be thinner but longer. Vanilla slices here are amazing and they usually have normal ones and then a unique one to try. Recently they had a farmers union iced coffee flavour and it was really good. This is one of the best bakeries in Adelaide and even Australia and I highly recommend it. 2. Speed of service: Fast, though can be very busy at times resulting in a small wait. 3. Service Quality: Staff are very friendly, attentive and accommodating. 4. Ambiance: Has recently had a small renovation/make over with a new layout and displays. Looks good / more modern and has more space for customers and staff to move around. 5. Price: Average - Roughly $6 for a savoury hot pastry 6. Hygiene and cleanliness: Very clean room. 7. Food: 5/5 Speed: 5/5 Price: 4/5 Overall rating: 5/5

What is happening with Bake Bakery? We used to absolutely love their pies and pasties. For the last 13 or so years, my family members visited the Seacombe shop 2-3 x a week, every week! We 'targeted' their pies, but also enjoyed the great selection of other baked goods. However, the menu, availability and quality of their pies and pasties is clearly deteriorating... First, a few years ago they removed one of their top pies, chicken and mushroom (a best seller according to their own bench staff!). More recently, they removed all their individual quiches and the breakfast danish (which were great!!) and it is now almost impossible to find a gourmet or popular pie, regardless of the time you visit. Do you like butter chicken or potato pie? Good luck with that, you will probably have to choose between kidney and cornish pastie. Or go elsewhere. Today, my only option at 12:30pm was to try a lamb gyros, just to find out the filling had >80% yogurt and hardly any lamb. That should be called 'Greek yogurt pie' instead. Please take this review as constructive feedback and please bring back your great pies and pasties!

wow! i wish I'd found you earlier. the pic of the sausage roll on Uber Eats hooked me and i stayed for half the menu haha The Sausage Roll was plump to death and a perfectly golden. supurb and generous! yummo! Pasty was perfection! Fat, with loads of veg with hits if fresh pumkin highlights and savoury goodness you get from the best pasties. Dark on the bottom for extra caramelised goodness Steak n Jalapeno pie deserves all the awards and more. crisp, crunchy topping, light spice heat and tender flaky steak. wow, great work! Butter Chicken pie. mmmm nice big pieces of chicken and yummy butter chicken sauce that is just that bit better than everyone elses! cinnamon scoll! wow! i couldn't see the butter, but oh so buttery sweet, cinnamonyyy amazingness! juicy at the bottom like a Baklava and pillow softness on top. The best i may ever have! to sum up, i give you my highest rating...your food tastes like happiness!

Bakery always has delightful treats both sweet and savoury however being a local to the bakery for 3+ years, I have noticed a significant drop in their customer service over the recent months. It is extremely disappointing to always be met with staff that are passivley rude and seemingly annoyed by our (me and fellow co worker's) presence. I would also like to say, if the staff find making a sandwich such a chore, do not offer the service. I will openly say that the younger ladies who serve us are not as rude and are more polite to us, as compared to some of the older ladies. I don't know if they're just fed up with their jobs, can't handle a busy store, or have it out for certain types of people but they seriously need to re evaluate the way they are treating people who are simply coming in to purchase some lunch.

Just yes. Their food is lovely, their staff are quick and experienced, their wait times are short and their selection of breads, drinks, sandwhiches, coffees, pastries, rolls and donuts really elevate the traditional bakery experience. Props to them for running something so successful out of such a small space. That is all part of the magic here. There is plenty of parking behind the bakery and wheelchair accessible entrace at the front with tables and chairs overlooking seacombe road. Truly a lovely little spot to grab a bite to eat.

I went to this bakery yesterday and ordered a cheese kransky wrapped in pastry. Usually this is one of my favourite bakery items but not from this bakery. Instead of biting into the Kransky and piercing its skin and having a mouthful of juicy mouth-watering kransky at this bakery their so-called Kranskys are dry and unpleasant to eat and with a very strange flavour. As hungry as a was yesterday I couldn't even eat this thing, it ended up in the bin. I won't be going back to this place in a hurry.

im a bake goods nut. cakes, pastries, you name it. i went to the Bake Bakery for the first time last weekend and was very impressed with my absolutely huge cornish pasty, perfectly made and bursting with content. i gave it 4/5 because like everything these days, i think the goods are too expensive. mind you, the same $6 thing in sydney, melb, bris, perth wouldve cost $8.50. AND the bakery was open for public trade very early on a Sunday morning on a public holiday weekend.

Curiosity got the better of me! I drive past this bakery frequently and always see lots of people queuing inside and often outside too so I figured the baked goods must be I purchased a cheesy, vegetarian pasty and a pecan, cinnamon scroll. The pasty was very tasty but the scroll is the best I’ve yet had! I will definitely be going back Staff were very prompt in such a fast paced store and friendly too ☺️

Have had many disappointing experiences at this bakery. I keep trying hoping it was just a bad day. Food allergies affect so many people and it’s so disheartening when a place makes no effort to help customers find out the ingredients of an item. We’ve entered and left the bakery empty handed on many occasions now. On our recent attempt when asking about a particular ingredient we were met with a “ah yeah dunno”.

  • Savva Ktisti

Purchased a couple of packets of fruit finger buns. They were not as good as what we have had previously. These ones lacked flavour and fruit. By the second day they were stale and they were in the packet they were bought in. Maybe just a bad batch and hopefully the recipe hasn’t changed.

Easily one of, if not the best, sourdoughs in Adelaide and their pies are usually top notch too. With that said though, their packaging of doughnuts and other cream-topped things leaves something to be desired. Would be great if they had little cardboard dessert boxes instead of just paper bags. I frequently find myself going back for more of their delicious goods and reasonable prices.

I made a phone order a week prior to my function. Placed on hold for a very long time and could hear everything happening in the store. So I went to collect my order and the service was less than satisfactory. Was very dissapointed as customer service is paramount in a business of this stature. I normally attend the Coromandel bakery and have never experienced this.

  • Libby Marshall

Great bakery! But customer service can be atrocious. 5 girls on this morning. 1 serving. I packing a drink fridge and 3 standing at the end. Not one “hello” not one “won’t be long” and yea… they all looked at us. 2 more people have walked in and are standing at counter, and no greeting either! Keep packing the fridge love! That’s def going to bring clients back!!!

  • Naomi Wybrow

I always get pecan pies when I go here but today they didn't have any. Sad, but also great because I got a vanilla slice instead. I have never had a better vanilla slice. Usually the pastry is soggy and I ask why I ate that but their pastry is so crispy! Like genuinely, I would just go for the pastry. Even the pie pastry is the best. Very crispy.

I was doing a job a few streets away and asked the home owner if there was any decent bakery's around she recommended Bake Bakery....Wow I would have to say these are the best pies and pastries that I had took the misses and kid's there a couple of days later and she said there as good if not better than the Port Elliot bakery.... nough said

Best pastries you will find locally. The on site Baker has got it down PAT. Seriously a great local asset. Great friendly helpful and polite staff. The whole place is cleans as and hygiene and food handling standards are fantastic. The range of pies is phenomenal and every one you will want to try. Award winning bakery don't drive past.

  • Carynn Chua

The vanilla slice is one of the best I have eaten. The Ferrero Rocher slice is amazing too. Usually the pastry on a vanilla slice is soft and soggy but theirs is so light and crispy, which contrasts off their lovely custard. My daughter tried their GF range of pastries and she really enjoyed it too. Will be back again!

  • David Key

A really good bakery in the southern suburbs located on Seacombe Road. The staff are always polite and friendly and have good steak and kidney and steak and pepper pie. The fruit mince and apple crumble is also worth checking out. They also have a good range of wraps. Worth stopping and checking out if you're passing.

Everything you would expect from a busy bakery PLUS some european offerings which are a little different. Expect quick and friendly service and good product knowledge. My coffee was full flavored and milky - a very good taste for a weak cappucino! I had a delightful ricotta and pear tart to go with it.

  • Chris Kyriacou

We will definitely be back. Incredible food and friendly customer service. I don't say this lightly - the best sausage roll I've ever tried! Amazing Cronuts, Donuts and Cinnamon Scrolls! Everything was just a step above anything I've tried before. A bit of a drive for us but totally worth it.

  • Adam Lee

Nice bakery lots of different types of bread there so worth a trip there for that also a good selection of pastries there to choose from as well staff are friendly and its nice and clean. Always busy there and they make nice coffee as well definitely worth a visit if you like a good bakery

  • Liam Howard

Great vegan pasties but they are never in stock or made enough of, unfortunately we travel here all the time and often leave disappointed. Have emailed asking to consider making more in batches or keeping them cold, in addition to adding other options but left with no response.

  • Timothy Asquith-Frawley

Great pies, great sweets, great bread and great service! Our family visits here for take out every other weekend and haven't been disappointed yet, asides from when something we want to try is sold out Best sausage rolls I've ever had in my life! 10/10 …

  • Richard Ward

Unfortunately THE Bake Bakery has joined the group of Bakeries that now charge for a squirt of Sauce...the staff are less than conciliatory when questioned about the add on price and lack of customer information signage. Very sad to lose

  • Peter E

Stopped for lunch today. Had a steak and mushroom pie. One tiny piece of meat and about 6 small mushrooms, all dried out with hard pastry. I THINK IT HAD BEEN IN THE PIE WARMER ALL WEEK!!! I will avoid this bakery in future!!!

  • Sandra Geach

Excellent service, I have just pre ordered for Father's Day. Excellent food. Pasties are to die for. Vegan available. Great sour dough bread. Haven't tried the gluten free yet but they do a gluten free citrus tart that's good

  • Mark Dallimore

Great sour dough bread made on site, awesome pies and pasties, fast friendly staff and Snot-Blocks (vanilla slice) that I would walk over hot coals to get to!! It's not out of my way, but I would travel to go there.

  • Anna

The best lamb pies I've tasted. The food is fresh and delisous. Can order products to pick up. Staff really helpful and prompt. Highly recommended. Lovely xmas products yummy mince pies. I could go on....

  • Greg Anastasi

Great bakery. Photos show a beef pepper pie and a butter chicken pie. Great peppery taste and wonderful crust. The butter chicken was great. Not some shadow of butter chicken. Rich with chunks of chicken.

  • Possy Psoh

Lovely sourdough. Love the standard loaves as well as the flavoured e.g. cranberry and pistachio. Note that some variations are only available on weekends, and you need to get in quick as they sell out.
