I have never been so badly treated in a venue as by the staff member - manager? - who bowled up to me and told me to "use my manners" and accused me of being rude to another staff member. I had not been rude in any way - I'd simply asked him (politely) if he wanted to take the table number, to avoid confusion as two other people not with me had joined the table and may have wanted to order separately. He didn't hear me the first time so I had to say it again, louder and point to the number. What happened to 'The customer is always right'? Apparently the customer is wrong here even when they *were* right in the first place. Thank you for ruining my afternoon and any future visits to the Latin sundays... maybe get your facts straight before you accost customers and start accusing them of things they haven't done. Maybe try using *your* manners. You can take your $7 coffee and put it where it fits... and if that's not ''manners', bad luck

We have been regular patrons at Bacchus from day one & always loved it until today. Kitchen opens at 5pm but orders always taken prior to then as long as I can remember. No longer although apparently chips appear magically. Complained but officious person apparently in charge (red glasses frames) explained that only one kitchen staff there to dip chips in. One young girl working her butt off while other staff busy changing menus with increased prices. Unbelievable & won’t be returning. Will however advise many friends who are also long term patrons of our experience. What restaurant actually replaces increased price menus in front of diners

I just recently found out that this Russian girl I found on an online dating site isn’t real and that she was just working for the site. I’ve been forgoing food some days just so that I can pay the fees to message her. For her not to be real has just absolutely broken my heart. I was just looking to forget this fake relationship and I ended up your bar. I was in an absolute state but the level of care and the service provided by Mitch makes me believe in people again. Thanks to him I’m willing to place my trust in others. So thank you Bacchus Bar and thank you Mitch.

Wonderful chargrilled plate with Greek salad, halumi, prawns, chicken etc for 2 people to share but for my standards rather than 3 people Well, as we sat in area especially friendly for dog owners so we were 3.. And that's another bonus. Perfect view on ocean under umbrella in shadow with light seabreeze on hot day after long walk on the beach That could be a summary. And perfect café macchiato caldo for demanding person like me. Highly recommend to enjoy your time at Bacchus Bar!

What’s not to love here?! The staff are friendly, the food and drinks are great and the atmosphere lively with great music. The platters make it so much easier when meeting with a group for drinks and nibbles. Also Kid friendly with a kids menu and mocktails for the special occasion. The restrooms can do with a lot more attention throughout service. No accessibility for consumers with disability

Tried to book online for dinner but there was no availability- so went for a drink before dinner. Waited 36 minutes for a cocktail. After 20 minutes when I went to check on why I hadn’t received it was told by the bartender that he had a lot of orders and I was still in the queue - there were 2 orders in front of me. The place was only at about 50% capacity so I’d hate to see what the service is like when it’s packed. Absolutely terrible service.

We booked my husbands 50th Birthday drinks for last night. It was initially a bit difficult to get hold of someone there and organise the booking. However once that was sorted out it was easy sailing. Jodi was very attentive, they set up a lovely area for our guests and put out a few decor items for us which we supplied. The food platters were awesome, I wish i had thought to take some pics. Thanks Bacchus Bar for a memorable evening.

Good place to eat, but good luck trying to get in contact with ANYONE if it's not to do with a booking! Lost my business when you chose to ignore my (multiple) requests over a week via email, phone & finally a comment on your insta for a simple response to a lost piece of jewellery. I work in hospitality, so I get you're busy, but a bit of common courtesy for your customers would go a long way.

It's been 12 months since I even wished to attempt another drink at Bacchus Bar. Back then they turned the Henley Beach icon into a Pirate Life Beer Bar. I am delighted to announce the owners returned the former wine bar into a wine bar. But best ever... they have a new chef, new menu, new Life into the bar. I AM BACK ! Back for the first drink and platter for the Spring. Impressive.

Jodi and the team anticipated our every need and delivered a function for us that blew our minds. My guests were raving about the beach views, the food, the service and most importantly that every staff member had smiles on their faces all night. 100% recommend for quality produce, drink range and relaxed vibes. Was gonna give this place 4 stars but there's more to this place. Location obviously right by the beach. But also the best pub chips I've had in ages. So good. Also featured: rock star barman tat guy (thanks!), Healthy platter for the girls on keto diets, very fast service, and west coast IPA! Aye will be bach

Beautiful view, lovely food. Only complaint was that I tried to order dessert at around 8:10 and was told the kitchen had closed. There was a sign out the front that said the kitchen closed at 9. It was a Sunday, but still, 8pm seems quite early to close the kitchen for this time of year. The sun sets at 8:30!

Had bubbly and oysters in the afternoon around 5pm with my husband. December supposed to be summer but we were lucky the weather was amazing so we sat outside overlookinh the beach. Beautiful oysters would even great if they have migonette dressing for natural oysters. The chairs outside full of sand though.

Fantastic food & service. Wait staff were attentive, Georgia & co were lovely. We ordered the breakfast platter and it was more than enough for 2 people, very generous servings! It was only their second breakfast service since restrictions lifted and it was like they hadn't missed a beat.

Jodi and the team made our special day so relaxed and enjoyable and our guests can’t stop raving about the food and service! South Aussie wines and local produce all scrumptious and served with a smile as the sun goes down over Henley Beach. Our favourite place ❤️

We had a nice time at BB after bar and pub hopping in the area. It was a good place to have a late lunch. The menu has a range of stuff and something to keep everyone happy. The outdoor area provides a nice view of the beach and jetty

The restaurant can get cold but I’m sure it’s nice in the summer. Prices very good. They have a few good mains but for me the selling point must be the antipasto’s and shared platters. COVID safe with people where masks and check-ins.

Arrived in town late tonight. Had a great time on the patio during the last hour of service and we will be back for dinner tomorrow.

Bacchus Bar has great ocean views and is definitely a place to be on a sunny day at Henley. Great drinks and the staff are always friendly. Good cocktails and a decent wine list. Their food menu is also good.

The seafood/ shared platters and the mojito was awesome. Also loved the ambience, as it overlooks the beach. Highly recommended and will come back when I'm back in Adelaide next !!

Great drinks, food for everyone, friendly staff, good view… not much else to ask for. If you’re visiting from outer state or a local, this is a must visit spot.

Nice Vibe, good food. Only suggestion. Wait till the kitchen closes before the DJ starts cranking the music. Light background music would be so much nicer.

Had delicious wedges with a proper amount of sweet chilli and sour cream. Cider was good on tap, and they had a high chair. Service was very friendly
