Queste due stelle vanno principalmente alla disorganizzazione e alla maleducazione del personale. Nonostante avessimo prenotato con largo anticipo abbiamo dovuto aspettare il nostro brunch per la bellezza di 30 minuti… e nessuno si e disturbato di venire a dirci qualcosa anzi.. ci hanno addirittura risposto in maniera scocciata non facendoci ordinare qualcosa fuori dal menù. infatti è spiegato molto male come funziona il menù. Se si prenota in precedenza si ha un menù limitato tra cui scegliere, formato principalmente dalla alzatina che si vede in foto. Invece se non si prenota bisognerà fare una coda per entrare di circa mezz’ora - un ora e poi si verrà ricompensati con il menù normale, che a parere mio contiene cose decisamente piu interessanti di una semplice alzatina con pane, frutta, affettati e marmellata. Quindi se volete gustare dei pancake, waffle, bagle o uova alla benedict vi conviene fare la fila. In conclusione davvero delusa ..

For Babu’s lovers, the opening of Babu’s Bakery has been a great news. It’s a pity that the place really is just a takeaway (makes sense though, as it’s a bakery) and there are only 2 tables outside (at the moment) which are always taken. Update: they have added some more tables outside: yuppy! This said, I loved their pumpkin tart which they had for a limited time last year, that was my absolute favorite and wish they had kept it more often. Not convinced by their banana bread: rather bready and dry, and flour-tasting. I didn’t perceive a strong enough banana taste, but found nice to have many chocolate pieces. Also the yellow smoothie isn’t always consistent: sometimes it is indeed a good mix of the several ingredients, other times, at least in taste and color, it seems rather a plain orange juice.

Amazing breakfast/brunch! There are only a few tables so take away might be needed, but we grabbed an outdoor table that came with blankets :) My husband and I had the tomato soup, cappuccino, and the ham & cheese focaccia rolls- everything was delicious and super filling. My only wish is that they could have heated up the rolls because they were room temperature but dipping them in the hot soup did the trick! Prices are also very fair for tourists, at par or more reasonable than NYC/San Francisco cafes

Gute Backwaren zu einem Premiumpreis und das Ambiente des Ladens machen einen runden Eindruck. Leider war bei meinem wiederholten Besuch heute die Bedienung nicht wirklich freundlich und man fühlt sich als Kunde nicht willkommen. Vielleicht können die Betreiber*innen ihr Servicekonzept nochmal überarbeiten.

The coffee was good. The salmon bagel with egg was 24CHF- exceptionally pricey with stale salad (lettuce, cucumbers were stale) on the side. And no seasoning or sauce. I liked the toasted one at Boreal (2 mins away) MUCH better for half the price. The lady at the counter recommended the carrot cake, and then we got the end piece which was dry and disappointing. We paid 60CHF for 2 people for a below average breakfast. I would not waste my time again.

The portion size of scrambled eggs was quite small, there was no side on plate. The price is high for this. Breads, avocados bagel are really good. Service is average. It’s not a good idea to order by self waiting on queue even you have already sit.

The best place to have a breakfast in Zurich downtown! This is definitely my recommendation, food is really amazing! Ingredients are always fresh and taste well! There is one thing that can be issue, if you don’t have reservation can be possible a long Q‘s outside, but if you have time to wait for the table it is worth definitely.

Liebe den Zitronenkuchen und alles. Ich finde es gut hat es nicht zuviel Auswahl, dafür ist ds wirklich köstlich und gut. die Öffnungszeiten könnten besser sein, va sonntags bis 14:00 Uhr.. schade. Andere Standorte haben länger offen. Sonntags gehen die Leute ja gerne Brunchen und viele haben dann Zeit.

Sehr schöne Bäckerei mit tollen Gebäcken und Spezialitäten. Es gibt koffeinfreien (decaf) Kaffee. Er ist jedoch leider nicht besonders gut und die Latteart lässt stark zu wünschen übrig. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und unaufgeregt. Es gibt leider nur sehr wenige Sitzplätze.

Statt dem bestellten Avocado- hab ich einen Lachsbagel bekommen. Merci für den offerieren Ersatz ❤️

Die von Babu‘s gewohnt gute Qualität der Backwaren und des Kaffees. Nur die Bedienung am Take Away war ziemlich „verpeilt“, hat die Hälfte vergessen bereitzustellen und war eher mässig freundlich, obwohl nicht viel lief. Schade für so ein „Quartier-Kafi“.

The second location of the downtown Babu, this one is only a bakery with a few tables outside, it’s not a brunch place. They have coffee and a nice selection of pastries like scones, banana bread or brownies. The pastries are delicious.

I get something from them a couple of times a month - In the winter they have different soups every day which is a good lunch option. Their bread is outstanding (especially the olive one) and the sweets and coffees as well - perfect :)

Wurde meinen Erwartungen leider nicht gerecht: Quarkstrudel teilweise verbrannt, Avaocado-Bagel ist einfach zu teuer für 12.- & die Bedienung war auch nicht wirklich freundlich. Ich komme nicht wieder.

Food is good and there are vegan options! Waiting time can be pretty long but if you have time it is worth it! The rolls are amazing and they sometimes make different and new ones which i really like!

Super leckere Köstlichkeiten und vorzüglicher Cappuccino. Schön draussen zu sitzen, jedoch hat uns gestört, dass es nur Wegwerf-Geschirr/Becher/Teller gibt auch wenn man sich hinsetzt.

Brot und Croissants recht fein, aber es scheint die Bedienung ist wohl eher mit sich selbst als mit den Kunden beschäftigt … Schade

Best pain au chocolate in town. Everything else also highly recommended: is it the coffee from their la marzocco coffee machine or is it the bread - you can’t go wrong at Babus.

Feine Backwaren. Eher lange Wartezeit bei der Bedienung. Preise eher hoch. Aussenbereich vor dem Geschäft an ruhiger Seitenstrasse Nähe Bertastrasse.

Love this bakery. One of my favorite in the city. Their apple pie tastes like the one my grandma used to make. If only they had coffee in real cups
