This bank is a joke. Joe the bank manager at the Camelback location in Scottsdale refuses to return my phone calls. It’s been over two weeks since I dropped off a POA for my elderly mother who is in the hospital with one leg and can’t manage her finances. Several phone calls to this man, not one word from him. I told Joe when I was in his office that this was a dire situation, not dire to him I guess. He’s just worried about vacations and himself. He is very rude and does not make you feel welcome. If this Bank wants to stay afloat it better change its attitude In customer service practices. If you appreciate one on one contact, your phone calls returned, pleasant and smiling people...I have had excellent service with Wells Fargo for over 10 years.
I first was with Commercial Federal in Colorado and BOTW took over, I loved them always helpful and convenient. So I obviously have been with them FOREVER. I now live in Arizona and there is ONLY one branch close to me, well it’s 45 minutes away so I rely on mobile banking. Occasionally I need to call Customer Service which THEY NEVER answer or I might need to take that 45 minute trip to the bank but by the time I get there it’s closed and they aren’t open on Saturday!! Terrible operation practices, I guess it’s time I close that account and maybe try Chime!
My finance suggested I opened an account here because he has an account there. I've had nothing but problems. There fees are outrageous. I have a balance and there is a freeze on my account. Nobody can help me. I have daycare to pay. Now I'm blocked from my own money. I've asked to cancel my bank account many times. Joe said I should transfer my money then he can close it when at zero balance. Then I was charged more fees. I can't get it from under this establishments fees. My paychecks goes to this bank. I'm looking at homelessness now. Thanks so much.....
Called their Scottsdale bank for money market rates and got a lady that appeared verbally to be incoherent. She tried to describe 100,000 dollars as 1000 100 as a verbal comment. Then she said she would have to put me on hold because she didn't want to get in trouble and try to figure out the money market rates. So I then called their Phoenix branch and the phone rang and rang and who answers the same lady. Wow, how is this possible in this day and age. Stay away if you value your money and time.
This is a huge improvement from the one branch that existed prior to the opening. I am from California and have been doing business with the bank for years. I refused to change when I moved to AZ. It was a one way 50 mi trip every time I had to go into the branch. Thank you for putting this branch closer to my home. The employees have been great, professional and knowledgeable. I so appreciate all that they do to give me a good experience.
My bank suggested I call Bank of the West regarding fraud. I tried. I really did. All I got was one recording directing me to another recording only to send me back to start top tell me they have staffing issues and that the wait was over an hour. That's it. No wonder BOTW only gets a couple stars. WOW!
I have called customer support over the last month a half dozen times and NEVER got thru. Everything they do is sloooow. Good thing that they are my backup bank account. You will only have regrets with this bank. Do yourself a huge favor and go elsewhere!
This is the worst bank in Arizona. Whatever you do don't open any type of account here. Horrible experience. Unprofessional. And Joseph Farr the branch manager. I have no idea who made him the manager of this establishment. I am waiving a flag at 1 star.
Horrible experience with transferring money through zelle. Tried to remedy the issue and put on a never ending loop of ignorance. Unable to solve a minor issue. God forbid something major happens. Will be closing my account soon.
