15+ years loyal customer of BMO. Holding well established business accounts, and various other personal accounts with BMO. In my experience as a BMO customer, I have never had a single representative give me so much trouble. Lynn, a teller from BMO, is not suitable for the position. I was in awe at how long it took to get a wire transfer processed and her scrutinization with my ID, my credit card, business bank card, clearance questions, signatures, complaints my signature doesn't perfectly match drivers license, complaints that i signed above the signature and now she can't accept and then having the manager Osmand to step in. Which I should have asked for from the beginning. She even refused to deposit cheques from a previous client. It took 45 minutes to get a basic transfer done. The computer timed out because of how long it took. And i provided 3 pieces of ID from the beginning. This experience made me feel like the big picture was missed. You can see a lot of details behind that screen about the customer you are interacting with and history. The truth is, I felt like a criminal at this branch. I held my breath the entire time out of respect for my elders and did not raise a complaint at the branch but I'm afraid i cannot let this bad review go. If there was one positive it is that the teller is delightfully kind. But that kindness felt sarcastic as time passed. I made an error in judgement that I will learn from after going to this branch. It is this: Stick to your familiar branches that you know and the qualified reps that value your business and know you by name. I still love BMO and will not let this bad impression change my loyalty. But I feel compelled to let others know to stay clear. Please note this review is regarding Lynn and should not be taken as negatively on the other reps who i have not interacted with and am hopeful they would have treated my banking requirements better.
In Guildwood Branch Anna’s service is excellent. She provides professional services with friendly manners and tries to serve the best for me and others Clints. She deserves a promotion because of her excellent customer service. I wish Anna to become a Guildwood BMO Bank Manager in future. Current Guildwood BMO manager doesn’t know how to talk to the customers with the prfasionanal manner, he just cares about keeping him at jobs and not providing quality service to the clients but he doesn't know that the quality service will help him to keep his job. Honestly, I don't know how he got the manager position with his unprofessional behaviour. He wasn’t listening to my problem while I tried to explain that he said he couldn’t help me because he will lose his job, even though I didn’t ask him to do anything that would cause lose his job all I asked him was that there was an unauthorized transaction on my account and reimbursed the fee for that, but he didn’t and he said clearly that he can’t help me, After that, I came home and called BMO bank head office and explained my problem they took care of it very well they reimburse my money but if he was a professional he could have done that for me but he said he can’t help me because he doesn’t want to lose his job. I wish he gets transferred from this branch so I would enjoy banking with better people and get professional service. Thank you so much BMO head office customer care service team members for your excellent customer service today. I will call in further if I need any help for banking to the BMO head office customer service n never even go to the manager until I see a new manager at this location.
The most disappointing and outrageous customer service support from DORA. She was condescending and dismissive in helping my partner with his RRSPs. She told him his ask involved too much paperwork and she was too busy to help him. As an employee at a financial institution myself, I find this client treatment appalling. The branch never picks up their phone and for this reason we were unable to escalate to the branch manager, but will be paying a visit soon to empty all accounts and move business elsewhere. Shame on you Dora for being so incompetent, unobliging and rude. Shame on you BMO. Horrendous and embarrassing.
Some of the worst customer service, tried to deposit money a week ago. The atm had taken my money but not posted it on my account, I’ve been trying to reach the branch via phone and email for a week now. I had gone into the branch last week Monday one week later still no reply or update. Was told in branch should only take one or two days. The teller had also mentioned this wasn’t the first time this has happened. Edit- they has credited my account a couple hours after I had posted this review. I guess it’s better to leave reviews then call them via phone or go into the branch
I was greeted warmly by two staff as soon as I entered this branch. The nice young woman who served me (Anna, I think) was attentive, understanding of my problem, and willing to help me through the torturous process of getting a replacement MasterCard when one is (a) no longer a permanent resident of Canada, and (b) not the primary cardholder on the account. She definitely went "above and beyond" to serve me. I was able to see her interactions with other clients, too, when she was unfailingly polite and respectful. So glad I chose to go to this branch!
Customer service was so bad. There is a bank teller (Romanian speaker) who complained that I was deposing coins wrapped in white paper. When I told her that at least I counted them. She talked back to me "this branch is quiet so I am helping you. In other branches would not accept coins." I lost my words on site. But any bank would and/or should help clients who want to deposit coins regardless coins are wrapped or not.
Today I visited this branch and had one of the best experiences at a bank. Lynn helped me and was so helpful. She was so kind and incredibly lovely to interact with. I loved having her as my teller she was informative. I have had some horrible experiences at other branches where the the teller is not helpful and sometimes rude and I am so happy that I was able to meet Lynn today. She has made my day!!! :)
Two-week before I went to this branch to take the line of credit. I met one lady, She said I am not eligible because I opened my account only 1 year ago. Her service was very bad, and she has a lot of attitude. Yesterday I checked my account, and it shows a pre-approved line of credit from BMO. My question is if am not eligible how I got pre-approval for a line of credit? Please Don't go this branch.
I visited this branch earlier this week & was pleasantly surprised by the service. I had quite a few things to do and they were very patient with me; especially Lynn. Thank you so much! You were so great, and I felt so much better about my profile and accounts. I’ll definitely be visiting again!
This BMO branch has most excellent service! I got the sense they get to know their clients and try and to go above and beyond. A bit of a zonk here is that since they take time with clients, it may not be the best bank to go to if you’re in a rush.
The customer service at this branch is amazing. The ladies behind the counter are so friendly and helpful! I've never had a bad experience at this branch, banking is quick and easy and they answer all my questions and give great advice.
Always bad service at this branch. Can never get basic things done right and get attitude for basic requests.
