I am dissatisfied with the help and support at this branch. I became an employee of BMO and I had to open bank account with BMO to receive pay. I went and applied for credit card as well. I took all my document the first time i visited this branch but they dint ask my work permit then. Again someone from the branch calls me for the work permit and i have to go to the bank to provide that document. After a week i received another letter that they cannot process my credit card application. I called and was in queue for like 30 mins to talk to the customer care in which i got to know work permit is not provided which is super annoying. I myself went to the branch to provide the document. Now again i have to go to the branch to talk about what is wrong i am not at all happy with this experience. I hope they give more attention to the customers and please be careful with the documents we provided. Hope this review helps them to improve customer care. Thanks!
A couple of weeks ago I went to the BMO branch at Yonge and Queen to deposit a cheque. I was surprised(and disappointed ) to be told that although I arrived at 5:05 p.m. the branch would not be able to take my deposit because they were closing in 55 minutes at 6P.M......the branch was empty and I was advised that the staff needed the time to close off their day. Today I happened to drop by the branch at 774 Queen St East and while depositing a cheque around 5:30 p.m. (the branch closes at 6 pm.) I mentioned my experience at the Yonge & Queen branch previously I was advise by the teller Ellen that if I chose to I can do a "virtual deposit" online using my camera on my cell phone. Ellen is the epitome of exactly what I expect of all BMO staff : professional, patient and helpful.
Like many others have already mentioned, there is zero sense of responsibility or accountability at this particular branch, and it seems like it's been going on for years. We dropped by regarding a mortgage matter, and the agent requested a list of documents from us. We emailed the agent with some questions and it has been more than 2 weeks without a reply. Last week we dropped by to see if we can catch them at the branch in person to drop off the documents, only to be told the agent wasn't there and someone would give the documents to him the next day. Well here we are a week later, not a single peep or even just an acknowledgement that the documents were received. TLDR; absolutely avoid this branch unless you plan on just using the ATM.
Worst customer service EVER would give no stars if possible. Came in to ask for a mortgage quote. Was told the agent was with a client at the moment and had another appointment in an HOUR and that he couldn’t answer any of my questions at this moment and was rudely told to leave. I kindly ask if they could just quickly ask the agent how much longer he might be with their client so that I could wait in the area for my quick question. I was told “what do you not understand, heres his card, call him and leave” What kind of customer service is this? Absolutely no respect for customers. Why would I call the agent when I physically see him and the staff there could quickly give me the answer. Never banking with BMO
This is my first time writing a review as it would be a disservice to the community if I did not share my experience. In 2021, I went to the branch to cancel the two cards I had with BMO. The rep confirmed that both cards had been cancelled. Two YEARS later, I receive an email saying my account is overdrawn (which is confusing since I haven’t touched either account since). After calling customer service, it turns out my cards have in fact NOT been cancelled, and I will need to go to a branch to figure it out. Super disappointed and never banking with BMO again.
Went to the bank to get my check from the government change, and they asked me if I have an account with them and I told them no I just work nearby and wanted my check changed, they were like there's one bank at blahblab you can get your check changed there. I mean, the check says I can change it to any bank in Canada, so I dont think its right to tell people that since it is my right to get it change. I just felt bad that they had to say that and told me to go to my bank.
I had a check in US funds in the amount of 20k. Both the teller and the branch manager said it could take up to 3-6 months to clear. What are we back to horse and carriage? I went to another branch and spoke to a financial adviser and he laughed and said more like about a week. I think the whole branch needs a overhaul. Or better yet just shut down because the whole BMO name and brand is tarnished because of their incompetence.
This branch does not enforce the mask mandate. Today the tellers let in a customer with no mask, didn't ask him to leave or call the police. They of course were protected behind plexiglass shields. One teller didn't know how to do a withdrawal from U.S. funds and convert the money to CDN, left me waiting around, needed help. Won't waste my time or risk my health again at this branch.
Zero stars. Worst customer service ever! I left more than 7 messages, asking to be called back, just for some information on closing my mother's account. I have gotten not a single word from them in more than a week. The least they could do is return a phone call. My mother was a customer of theirs for more than 40 years. Makes me more glad than ever that I bank with TD.
Manager "Raj" was very rude and unprofessional. I am a BMO business client and she was unable to help me do very basic business transactions. I've been thinking of switching to RBC for my business needs for a while now and this may have been the final straw.
These guys are great I posted a concern about broken automatic outside door last month which was wasting lot of hydro Today I saw the door is fixed with new doors Thank you bmo team these type of people needed for society thank you once again
Lynne employee was rude take 25 minutes for basic transaction was super slow must of been in a bad mood I said please hurry up and she just took her sweet time was late for work never again
Nice clean new branch. Moved from it's original historic building at Broadview & Queen a while ago. The staff was wonderful, exactly what I would expect from BMO. Keep up the good work!
Fantastic service from this BMO branch. Wonderful tellers who are friendly, helpful, and efficient. Special mention to Jeanette, Sam, and Allen for their great work. Thank you all.
Avoid. I recently transferred my banking from RBC to BMO. One week later I am transferring back to RBC. That should clearly demonstrate banking at this branch. Bad.
Poor communication and late for appointments. Very unprofessional. This has happened multiple times. I will not be dealing with this branch going forward.
Awful bank. Staff was more concerned with telling their stories to each other and didn't show the slightest interest in helping people out.
Decent branch, if you go on a weekend you will need to wait to be seen. They only let one person in at a time. And no cash services.
Been banking at this location for years. The team is always helpful and friendly. Its always a pleasure going into the branch.
Awful customer service, pretty sure I was discriminated against because I don't dress the part.
they are pretty fast but gets really full inside really quick
I generally don't like banks but the staff here is great.
Worst service CSR. What’s is racism you will see here.
To access safety deposit box, waited 25 minutes
Very helpful teller, Anastaysia.
Always full, very small bank...
Can be alot cleaner…
