Really horrible experiences at this branch. Came in to take advantage of promotion for my spouse. Promotion email indicated I could come in at any time and didn't need an appointment. Arrived 1 hour before bank closure and was told an appointment was needed and not available that day. After complaining, I was able to get the promotion and repeatedly asked if we met the promotion eligibility criteria, which multiple staff indicated in the affirmative. I asked when I would be eligible for the promotion and was told in a couple of months. After a couple of months I noticed I had not received the promotion and came in to ask why. Was told an investigation would be required and to check in after a couple of days. Arrived after a couple of days and was told that after waiting more than 30 minutes and rejecting claims that I was now not eligible by showing the fine print that the investigation was on-going. Like most human beings I don't have the time to be constantly reviewing my bank statements for promotions that staff have confirmed I am eligible for. As if I was an investor of BMO, I was then given a detailed explanation of why these issues "always" happen, as if anyone outside of BMO's employees and shareholders really cares. Only after beginning the process of cancelling my accounts did the manager yield. Unbelievably dense behavior by staff at this location. It is obvious they have no idea what customer service is. People's lives do not revolve around the bank. Best to avoid.
The teller at this branch by the name of Reina is awful. Worst experience I have ever had at a bank and I have relationships with quite a few, such as TD and Scotiabank. The lack of care and respect is beyond unbelievable. I lost my wallet and had absolutely no ID on me. I told her I can show her my bank app, provide sin number and show her a picture of my drivers licence. Yet, that still wasn’t enough. She requested to see a form of ID even though I had explained I just lost everything….On top of that, Reina tried to belittle me and ask why I do not have my debit card on Apple Pay… her response was that most people my age do so I should too… what kind of customer service is that? I would not recommend this branch or BMO to anyone. Not even my worst enemy. Reina if you can read this, you are awful at your job and should be let go immediately. Not a single person deserves to be spoken to the way I was, especially when I am giving you guys business. Will be switching back over to Scotiabank because of this experience. One of my worst experiences in a mortgage. Applied for a mortgage with their mortgage specialist Kweku Koffour he costed me and my wife at our home. The first day he promised us that he would give us the mortgage that we requested plus renovations. He requested the documents which we provided the same day. Everything according to him was fine. The next day he requested more documentation which I worked hard to get it ready for him again after a few hours he requested more documentation which again I provided. The next day he kept on telling me that everything is ok and that we are approved for the mortgage. The fourth day I called him and asked him on what’s going on with the mortgage and the commitment he said sorry I can’t get the mortgage. Buyers be ware in dealing with him he is not professional and never straight forward.
I wish to add how poorly I was treated by this bank. I went to the bank to open an account. I was shocked ay the totally unprofessional attitude that I encountered by the staff that served me. I felt I was subject to an interrogation as opposed to an open welcome to this branch. The two ladies who served me made me feel very uncomfortable with their totally unacceptable, unprofessional questions. The Bank should provide better training to their staff on how to deal with a cross section of our Canadian society. They made me feel like I was not welcome in their branch that I was not worthy of being one of their customers. I hope others take heed of this and be careful if they ever feel the need to deal with this branch.
This branch has really gone downhill over the past few years. The service used to be efficient but now the tellers aren't as well trained and offer conflicting information for simple procedures. Transactions take much longer due to incompetence and malfunctioning computer terminals. The growing lineups and increasingly annoyed customers should tell them that they need to step it up. I’m going to add that no one picks up the phone there and their voicemail box is usually full. Really unacceptable for a major bank branch.
I had the same experience as previous review. Been banking there since 2009 finally wanted a credit card for Amazon, xmas. Had appt went, now had to.go home and get provincial card, birth certificate and sin card??? What does it mean time with a bank for 14 years I had my debit card..thinking of royal bank, what do you think. One other thing I moved 1st of March. Informed bank I'm Jan. Didn't get checking statement for 9 months but paid 2.24 every month..had to pay bus to go there.
My actual account is at another branch but I use this location due to the staff. They are a mixture of fun and serious. They always bring services to my attention as with mortgages due and upcoming features. When I walk in, I am always greeted with a smile and my name. These people really care which is not found everywhere. Keep it up BMO Wellington!
Went to open an account and having been released from a correctional facility had limited identification. Was treated very respectfully and not feeling judged. Other banks told me to "kick rocks" with my lack of IDs, but these guys accepted me and empathized with my situation. Should open Saturdays though.
Staff of the BMO branch of Wellington West and Holland is always very helpful. When I email a question they response very quickly. From time to time we have a good laugh when banking in the branch. They promote local businesses from the neighbourhood. Thank you for a great job
Schedules an appointment and then cancels it without informing the client. The representative herself ah ruled appointment for me and when I showed up they didn’t know I had appointment. Plus, the staff are not familiar with opening a trust account for lawyers.
I've had good service at this location but recently it's been very difficult to get in touch with the branch. I've been trying over and over again to contact the bank over the phone but all I get is either a answering machine or I am put on hold.
Opened an account with Georgette. By far the best customer service ive experienced in any bank that ive ever been to. I will recommend her to everyone. Thank you …
MORE THAN ONE TELLER AT A TIME IS REQUIRED. I SHOULD NOT BE WAITING 30 MINUTES WITH ONLY TWO PEOPLE AHEAD OF ME.
I love this branch. The staff have always been incredibly helpful and friendly. Definitely recommended .
Manager does not phone back. Odd feeling in the back that people are not satisfied.
After being with Bmo for 30 years I will be shopping for a new bank.
Said they didn't have my money, went to TD instead they had it.
Another great place to park. After you use their services
convenient location - parking attendant
Good people
