"My parents had sent me a package from overseas in January 2018"
"Shocking service"
"We are extremely disappointed and frustrated with this outlet"
"I wasn't able to pick up my parcel by the date specified, so I called Australia Post"
"The worst service ever!! I wanted to send my 20kg bag, 84cm L (the website says max 22kg is allowed and 105cm L) and they said they couldn't ship this to Brisbane because it looked too big (even though I had sent it through Australia Post Brisbane to Melbourne before with no issues)"
My parents had sent me a package from overseas in January 2018. I was waiting for about a month to receive a package but it never came. So I assumed that once it would arrive and we missed the delivery that we would receive a card which says that we had missed the delivery. That's what they normally always do. My partner and I went away for three weeks and when we came back, we still had nothing delivered. I did not think much of it because I know I would have received a message of some kind regarding the delivery. Today, three weeks after it was supposed to be delivered, I went to the post office to check because it's starting to take quite some time. They mentioned at the post office that the package was already sent back overseas. I mentioned that they should have let us know about this. They mentioned that they did, twice. The mailman was at our door twice, and had left a note. Apparently he came by when we were away, but still, we never received any form of notification. The post office was so kind to provide me with the customer service details to see if they could do anything. I called, the first lady was very helpful but couldn't do anything for me. The second however is the reason why I'm writing a bad review. She started to conversation with how it was my responsibility to have had a track and trace code and that I should have known. I couldn't even explain myself because she kept rambling on. I tried explaining to her that we normally receive a card in our mailbox when we've missed the delivery and at the post office they mentioned that they did, but she kept going about a track and trace code and that they don't do cards anymore. Two different stories! The package was suppose to be a surprise, so obviously my parents didn't give us the track and trace code. Unfortunately for us, this was an event of miscommunication and being away. However, I feel that Australia Post could have been more consistent with letting the receivers know that their package has been delivered. I have two housemates, so they could have gotten the package for us if we had known that something was delivered. Second, customers could improve regarding treating the receivers. It's of no use saying that you only use track and trace code when that's obviously not the case. And even so, not everyone has a track and trace code, so just stick to the physical cards in the mailbox as well. One star.
Shocking service. I have had parcels returned to sender because I didn't collect in time, because I received the card notifing me I had a parcel days after the you must collect by date. I never got the item and lost my $85 for the purchase as the seller would not refund. I've tried using their parcel lockers. I'm lucky if the parcel gets in the locker. The last parcel I received I got told it was over 16 kg so didn't make it into a locker. When I picked it was no where near 16kg, I weighed it when I got home and it was 9kg. The latest parcel I have had delivered got placed in the locker. I received notification to collect by Thursday morning and today, on Wednesday morning I am told I didn't collect it in time and it has been moved. Not even 24hrs in the locker, yet the email said I didn't collect within 48hrs. Now I need to take time of work and go into the shop to collect. Other parcels have been completely lost. I even had the guy decide I had already collected the item without checking. He remembered writing the card he then ripped it up in front of me. I'm still trying to track the item which came from Optus. Very frustrating and I feel powerless to do anything.
We are extremely disappointed and frustrated with this outlet. We have a PO Box with them and we kept having issues. When we first got the PO Box, they used to mix up our parcels with someone else's. They gave one of our parcels to someone else, and also gave us someone else's parcel in another occasion. Recently, we had 4 parcels missing upon collection. One was found to be sent back to the sender by mistake. 3 are still missing. Upon tracking (only after contacting Aust Post via social media), they found 2 were also sent back to the sender by mistake, with a 3rd one, the number was written wrongly, so it was shown as invalid. This errors happened within 1 week. Super frustrating as I had to contact each sellers to see if my "returned' parcels had been returned and to reorganise a re-send. We really find it very hard to say anything positive about the people at this place at the moment.
I wasn't able to pick up my parcel by the date specified, so I called Australia Post. The lady I spoke to was very helpful. She put me on hold, spoke with a Docklands Post employee to let them know when I would be able to pick up my parcel, and even got back to me to check time of day. It was all sorted, and I was delighted. On arriving to pick up my parcel at Docklands post, it wasn't there. They hadn't kept it as it was later than specified date. Everyone there denied having spoken to anyone from the Australia post enquiries number. Apparently no one had called. I called Australia Post again as I waited at the post office. The case was open and documented. Someone had been spoken to. The parcel should have been there. However, no one can be blamed, and my parcel is no longer there. It can't be tracked. No one is accountable. Great job Docklands Post.
The worst service ever!! I wanted to send my 20kg bag, 84cm L (the website says max 22kg is allowed and 105cm L) and they said they couldn't ship this to Brisbane because it looked too big (even though I had sent it through Australia Post Brisbane to Melbourne before with no issues). The Lady then grab a measuring tape and measure the bag in 360 grades, no length, no width no height. Just like if she was measuring somebodies body. With all due respect, but Australia Post should hire younger people that actually want to work and have some common sense and not just cranky overage ladies that all what they want is to be at home.
One star still too much for this post office. This post is so bad, i got the cards to picked up my stuff on 13.10.16 but in the card said pick up after 11.10.16. ( I CHECKED EVERYDAY). Then i go to pick up on 15.11.16. They said sorry, my stuff already sent back to sender yesterday. What the HELL going on with this post office? You sent customers stuff back just less than a week of waiting and the officer can said just 'i cannot explain'. Another post office like sunshine still can keep stuff for 2 weeks and have at less 2 reminder cards to pick up our stuff. So bad guy, what go around , comes around.
Just when I thought it impossible that my opinion of Docklands Post Office service could become even higher, one of the staff found my keys and safely held them until I wondered in after spending the day combing the suburb. Thanks to that wonderful staff member and Docklands Post Office —————- Tracey/Tracy was so helpful (and patient) this morning. I went into the shop loaded with the overseas Christmas haul for posting, she made everything so easy, her and Stephen even carefully wrapped 2 items to protect them. They always exceed expectations in there, including during covid times.
The customer service in this post office is very poor, especially the old lady who did not want to tell me what happened to my parcel being delayed and why there was no notification email or card telling me that the parcel is actually in their post office ready for my collection. I had to call the customer service team to find out the parcel is actually in the post office. She just shoved the parcel to me and said they had no idea regarding the delivery because they are just a retail shop. There are always long queue in the post office which is quite frustrating sometimes.
The staff try hard , but too many lost parcels (Ive had three that are in their system as being at the post office but they cant find!), the lines and wait is too long, and the number of times Ive not received the card, or get a card after I have picked up the parcel (days after) just makes the process very frustrating. (then you stand in line, wait, to find out its for the parcel you collected three days ago!) I know its not all the local staff's fault, but when you ring AP customer service you get no where. The parcel locker service is good, better than waiting in line.
I totally agreed with all the reviews here. This post office doesn't deserve even 1 star. It was the WORST EXPERIENCE ever!! The staff are extremely rude, slow and not willing to help!!!!!!!!! The staff has ZERO customer service and communication skills. Collecting parcel here are the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, the staff kept saying that my parcel wasn't there. Australia Post you should train your staff here and get rid off the rude lady! If she didn't know how to find the parcel and read the notification email, she shouldn't be working there. What a waste of my time!!!
Some people are great. Today I went to buy a pack of flat satchels. One male personnel (who wasn't even serving me standing on the side) said it could only be bought online WHIST the Asian lady actively went in the back room and within seconds found the pack (which are heaps in stock). A few months ago I was sent back home for the same reason and then I was forced to travel to the MEL CBD branch to get the pack. I am confident that the new people are well trained, willing to work, and actually are working pro-actively. Thanks to her.
Worst customer service in Australia, ask to print out my passport document and they refused, stating they don’t do a printing service. It clearly states online that Australia Post does offer a printing service. The Docklands branch are unprofessional and have no idea about the Nationwide service they’re meant to offer. The office clearly needs new management, their response was rude too. Stay clear of that Australia Post. I can see by their reviews, they’re probably the worst in the Country.
I want to thank Stephen at Docklands Aus Post, I went in having paid aus post online to return an item, however did not receive an email confirming, I showed Stephen the receipt, he went above and beyond to help me, I purchased another return and he refunded me the amount so I didn't have to pay for it twice. Stephen I hope you and your superiors read this, you are an absolute Gentleman, your customer service is above and beyond of what I expected. Thank you sincerely! Teddi
The service is slow because they are understaffed .i have never had a problem with the regular staff. The major problems with the parcel deliveries are that the drivers are contractors who are lazy incompetant and liars. This is a major problem with Australia Post who hire sub contractors. This is not the fault of the staff. I have had the same problems with my parcel deliveries. Complaints need to be sent in writing to Australia post website.
Rude Customer service, Just wanted a TFN declaration form which they did not had, the customer services lady replied "Don't have it go some where else"..was bit surprised at the response, I asked for another Post office location, she told me to to chk online, when I went to ATO online, turned out I needed a hard copy from post office. The staff was not only rude had no idea what she was talking about. wasted my lunch break for nothing :(
Wanted to mail a thin item for my daughter, but staff insisted it is a parcel instead of a mail. Wanted to charge me higher price for a thing that could sit comfortably in a small padded envelope. She even prematurely printed the postage labels. Surprised that Australia Post would resort to such forced sell tactics for revenue. Disgusted. Perhaps they should automate more processes and lay off staff who create bad customer experiences.
I got email that your parcel has been delivered and when I tracked it, it was showing Dockland post office which is 30 km from my home and as it was my passport, when I called in Dockland post office they said you can come and pick up.I drove for 1 hour and when I reached they said it has been sent back to sender. At least if you don’t know anything don’t give wrong information and don’t waste people’s time and fuel.
In this Covid times we the customers need at least a "hi" when we enter into a place. Knowing how kind and friendly is Australia Post staff, today I was surprised when Britt didn't answer my greeting and also answered me a question with an: "I don't know, I've never applied for a Working with Children document". Thank God google exists, I solved my question by myself and a another staff member helped me with my WWC.
Have been coming to this post office almost daily and staff always accepted my ID on my phone Came in today and was refused for a parcel I needed urgently despite having multiple forms of ID to prove my identity The woman who served me and manager was extremely rude and unprofessional Wouldn’t be an issue if the treatment was consistent from the get go
This Australia Post outlet may be small, but don't let that fool you - the staff are incredibly helpful and attentive. Despite the crowds during lunch and evening hours, the staff remained professional and efficient, answering any questions I had and providing guidance on postal services. Check out this outlet for a smooth and hassle-free experience.
Worst service. Went to take a passport photo and they took it in dark background which will be rejected for sure. Told them that. And the lady says we will redo it for you if the passport is rejected. What sort of response is that? Will she also pay for the lost time waiting for redoing the passport? Do yourself a favor. Choose a better post office.
It's great to open on Saturday but it should be the whole day and staff the place properly. There is always a queue out the door. If you insist on having people collect parcels from here then they shouldn't have to wait 30 mins + Staff are also rude and unhelpful. Just awful really. It's a shame Aus Post is a monopoly so we just have to suck it up.
very welcoming ,helpful, outgoing , staff , mrs Zahara in particular , she was so patient with me explaining everything about what I should do , she gave me all the right informations therefore i was able to deal with my postal issues fast and efficiently , thank you guys i would definitely go back to your post office in the future
The staff are always friendly and polite in this busy post office. All the counters are always open and they do a great job considering how busy it can get. I think people need to understand that this is a small post office so there will be queues. If you need more assistance packing your parcels go to a larger post office!
Can’t help but notice women working here are least helpful and not professional and want it easy. They just say an easy ‘no’ for same delivery service I have been given through other workers in same office, a guy. Just acting as if they don’t understand what you are asking. A simple label print for return item. Very rude
It’s nice to have a friendly post office to go to. As a long term resident of Docklands the staff their know us by our first name and are always lovely and friendly :) Even at their most stressful times we are always greeted with a smile. Thanks guys for creating a really nice place to go to when picking up my mail :)
THREE times in a row I have had a mail returned to the post office! All of which was able to left in my apartment office as is currently done for other patron's in my building. When I come to the Post Office (at the opposite end of the Esplanade) I'm told to use a Parcel Locker. Do we have a mail service anymore??
I live near here but refuse to go back. Zero customer service from the staff who simply don't care. Lost parcels, no reminder card notices are sent for parcel collections, they forget to post express and custom parcels including registered post. With e tracking you know exactly where the bottle neck is.
Bad customer service. Rude staffs. They didn't give priority to a woman with a toddler, though the kid was crying and she had to carry a big parcel at the same time. They were also very rude to me and wasn't helpful. The queue was long but their service was so slow that kept the whole line waiting.
it says they came at 6 48 in the morning and by chance i was awake i know for a fact that they didn't bother even "trying" to deliver the parcel but they just took it straight to the office, waiting for me to come to their lazy butts while i paid 40 bucks just for the delivery
Never have I ever been disappointed at this place. The staff is very helpful and quick and they answer all your questions. I was served by Britt today who was prompt and very friendly. The location is very good and they have a lot of stuff that you can buy too.
When in at lunchtime to send 2 express A4 envelopes. Queue to the door, only 2 counters, no self-serve kiosk or floor person to assist. Turned round immediately and went to Collins Street branch where I got help immediately. Never going here again. Never.
Very much terrible service. Post office in Sydney helped me mail my 3 large packages by helping wrap and putting delivery information on the parcel for me. Last at the post office refused to help with anything. I was forced to buy new sticky tape to tape.
Understaffed. Staff have no idea how to talk to customers. Was told one thing two days ago and then it changed with another staff member today. If you live in docklands do yourself a favor and get anything you need shipped to a friends address.
What can I say other than this place is absolutely fantastic!? I had a parcel delivered to my apartment and the instructions were not followed. I went to the post office to pick it up. It weighed 20kg’s and I’m 4ft9, with a little shopping
i had requested for my parcel to be delivered via safe drop. i was notified via email that was unable to be completed due to external circumstances, therefore my parcel had been brought to the parcel lockers to be picked up. i received a
I would regularly receive other people's mail to my company PO Box, so enquired about any missed mail of ours. While 'fixing' their problem, Australia Post locked us out of our own, paid for PO Box. Legal action anyone?
Can they make this post office bigger and employ more staff? It’s in a business district, there is always a long queue. The company needs to do its part and expand this office. Otherwise customer service is great.
lost parcel, even when it reaches Docklands, they can't deliver it to an apartment that's 20 metres away and the people don't look for them or even care, they tell you to go away and say it's not their fault
Had a great experience there earlier today. The man who served me had amazing eye for detail and was quick to lodge a passport renewal application for my daughter. Well done Aussie Post for having such ppl.
Had to post some boxes abroad and the help I revived was second to non. Big thank you to everyone at the store helping to get my things to their destination. Best Aus Post experience I’ve had. Thank you!
The photo they took for my visa application (which I stated) was not accepted due to it's poor quality and not satisfying their requirements. I strongly recommend not to take you photos taken here.
The most inconvenient post office ever. I used to be able to pick up my mail on Saturdays, but now I can rarely do so. How are those who work from 9 to 5 able to retrieve their mail?!
I always had a great service here. Very friendly staffs on service always. I never experienced a long wait here, nor long queue. Sometimes, at peak hours there there is a small queue
Highly Disappointed. I had one query and incorrect information was provided to me after waiting for 30 mins in the queue. It delayed my work further due to the incorrect information.
Awesome friendly service. The staff make efforts to help everyone asap, even if they're very busy at midday. Great service, definitely going there again if I need postal services.
Sharmina was so rude to me! Spoke over me and repeated herself needlessly and inappropriately raised her voice as I asked her to calm herself and be attentive. So shocking!
Given the fact that this particular post office is always busy, I believe that the service is very good, Carol was very helpful and couldn't do enough for me.
This brunch is the best Australian post office. Stuffs are really helpful and friendly people. I don’t know why people leaving bad reviews .
Not fit for purpose in such a large business precinct. 15 minute long lines out the door from 11am to 3pm. Increase capacity immediately X
Professional service, pretty friendly and definitely helpful. They can print out labels and tape your parcel if you can't do it at home.
Small store could use an expansion given how Docklands has grown recently. Staff do an alright job given the high volume of customers.
I’ve been here multiple times now and can honestly say it’s the best service I’ve ever received from a post office. Great job guys!
Tracey and her team battle long queues in a busy location with good humour and friendly service. Avoid lunch times where possible.
Had a really good experience with a staff member called Alex. He was extremely helpful and provided useful information.
Staff are slow and can be very rude. To actually receive parcels at all is lucky but forget delivery on time.
Very understaffed requires more staff. Staff are also very rude, probably need a lesson in customer service.
as very regular customer to this post office i can't speak more highly of the staff, the ladies are lovely
Great service and most friendly. Went above and beyond to help with a reply paid parcel return. Thanks
I found the staff here to be friendly, helpful and engaged. Thanks for the continued great service.
One of the better post shops in Melbourne. Often travel the extra distance for the friendly staff.
The staff seem friendly enough, not much else apart from the fact it is just another post office.
Can get quite busy at times. It is during these times that staff generally tend to get “moody”
Great service. Parcel lockers r awesome to get stuffs off time.
I felt that this store deserve more stars than it received
This place absolutely sucks. Staff is not helpful at all
Great Xmas decoration!! …
Helpful staff. Sent my parcel easily.
Slow, very slow
