This place is good for the soul and must endure. Kona bikes are sublime, and the dudes selling the bikes and working on them are grade A. APB was the source of a new bike for my son during this thing we're all trying to get through and the bike was trans-formative. He was fairly inexperienced on two wheels, but he took to the Hula like it was custom built for him. Within about an hour of wobbling, he was killing it, with the biggest smile on his face, and dare I say, some swagger. For the first time ever, the notion of coming rain on Easter depressed him - because he wouldn't be able to go outside and ride instead of loafing around inside on screens. The guys at APB also accommodated me later in the day with an issue on another Kona we had purchased many years ago from them that was baffling me and threatening to knock me sideways off a really good buzz. Thank you, APB! Now we need to get my daughter set up.

11 reviews 5.0 star rating 10/14/2016 I *love* this shop! --Great bikes at an affordable price --Incredibly cool employees --zero pressure to buy --endless patience for questions --deeply knowledgeable --bikes for every rider -- and part of an indie bike shop community in Atlanta-- they will send you in the right direction if you can't find what you need in their store (..but don't worry, they have EVERYthing.) I just bought a Kona Dew Plus which I absolutely love. I came in prepared to spend more on a road bike... any other shop wouldve sent me on my way with a product I didnt really need. These guys fit me with the perfect ride for my daily commute. Slick, speedy ride. Also, my 2 year old son was tearing around their shop for a half hour on a strider bike, bashing into stuff, and nobody batted an eye. Instead, they offered up advice on what the little dude's first real bike should be. Could not be happier.

I bought my first "real" mountain bike here a few months ago and was really pleased with the whole process. I was able to test ride multiple bikes to find the best fit for my needs and was encouraged to take my time when riding around the shop. The bike I really wanted to ride was a new model that they hadn't received yet, and they offered to call me when they got one in. Unlike most shops, they actually remembered to call, which I took to be a good sign. Even though I went home after my final test ride to mull over my decision, I never felt pressured to buy. I ended up going back the next day to get the bike, and I'm so glad I did! Everybody was super helpful in answering my questions, and I felt well prepared after a setup and information session with one of the bike techs. I happily took advantage of the free tune-up after 30 days and they even cut my bars at no cost. Great folks here!

Just bought a Kona Hei Hei from here and service has been outstanding. Super friendly sales staff. Even gave my son a loaner bike to ride with me while I tested the Kona out. Stuff like that makes a difference. Really look forward to working with these guys in the future! Update - six months later... Service has been amazing. Went in with a broken crank arm on Sunday morning. Smashed into a rock up at Blankets Creek earlier that day. They said it would probably be 2-3 days to get it fixed. Here comes the great part - I'm headed to Virginia on vacation in 2 days. I explain the situation. Gotta have my bike back before we go. I head home, get a call an hour later with an update. They have the part in stock, and it will be ready before they close at 5pm. Seriously great service. So glad I got my bike from these guys late last year.

The crew here is always very helpful. I live out of state, but am in Atlanta frequently, and occasionally forget something or need a tube. I both work in a bicycle shop as a mechanic, and own and run my own smaller business in the cycling industry and these guys get it. Their pricing is fair and they have a staff of talented mechanics and a good crew working the front of the shop. They're willing to answer questions about where to ride and talk a little bit of shop. Even if you're not necessarily there to buy a high dollar bike, they are friendly and helpful with reasonable prices on service that are good for both sides. They seem willing to help make cyclists, not just make sales.

I wanted to get a new tube since my back tire was deflated. He said I didnt need a new one so he put air in the tire. Charged me $10. I drove 40 min away excited about my bike ride but when I got there, the tire was deflated. I had to drive all the way back. It was my day off and that was a huge bummer. They supposedly refunded me but they just charged me twice instead. I called, they gave me a refund but told me to "never to come back." I was not rude once. I'm pretty understanding and will eat a cold meal just to not hurt anyone's feelings. Just bummed about my day off. It's fine if you made the initial mistake.... it just got blown into something dumb and my feelings got hurt.

After seeking help with a vintage bike from 5 other popular Atlanta shops to no avail, the OWNER answered the phone, advised me to bring it on in AND guaranteed he would take care of me. Fully ready to call his bluff i took the bike the 40+ minute drive to this shop. John, the master mechanic simply did not take no for an answer and literally made a bottom bracket tool to extract the 30+ year old bottom bracket. Upon removal we found a Phil Wood bottom bracket with proprietary parts. This is what stumped all the other shops. Very impressive bit of tenacity with these guys. Go there if you need anything done RIGHT!!

After a very very disappointing experience at Bike South we were greeted with enthusiasm and knowledge at Atlanta Pro Bikes. They knew exactly what we needed but didn't have it in stock, they put in a special order for us and didn't even make us prepay for it. They also took the time to educate us on a few other things. We got a courtesy call one business day later (we were there on a Sunday) to let us know our order had arrived.Went to go pick up our part which was ready and waiting and exactly what we wanted. We will definitely be back for all our future bike needs. Everyone was amazing and we love this place!

  • Charlotte Royer

Atlanta Pro Bikes is a fantastic shop. I came in looking for a commuter bike and the staff allowed me to test ride a couple to see which I liked better. When I ended up finding a bike on Craigslist for a bit less, they were completely understanding about it. Ended up taking the bike in to them for a tune-up and I bought a helmet (which they helped me fit) lights, etc to outfit my new ride. The staff here are great; they treat you well and don't talk down to you even if you're a total bike noob like me. APB is going to be my #1 place for anything bike related going forward!

  • Victor Moldovan

Hands down, the best service experience I've had in a retail store anywhere. The owner and his staff are so incredibly friendly and customer focused. My partner bought me a bike for our first anniversary and after 2 months I was just not comfortable with it. Brought it in, they determined it was not the right bike for me, switched it out, changed the gear shift type, added other features-- and one week later called that my new bike was ready. No additional charge. Easy to see why so many glowing recommendations on this site. Don't waste time going anywhere else....

I went in for some accessories for a BMX bike, and left with a new Evo 7 speed city cruiser. The price was right, and they gave me a used part I needed for my BMX for free because they didn't have a brand new one in stock. I rode my Evo around for 24 hours and tried to add 2 water bottle cages. Only 1 installed properly, while the other one had an issue with the hex screw coming out of the frame. It just spun, instead of unscrewed. I called the guys, they said come by, and they had it fixed within 2 hours. I will always try to support local businesses first.

It took me a year to decide what bike I was going to buy. Yes, I am the queen of paralysis by analysis. I went from bike shop to bike shop test riding bikes. Each time I circled back to Atlanta Pro Bikes, it made me more and more want to buy my bike from them. They are great guys who care more about the rider than the sale. I am fortunate they also sell killer bikes. In the end it came down to two bikes and I would be lying if I did not say that part of the reason I chose the Kona Rove ST was bc of the level of service at Atlanta Pro Bikes.

  • Rachel Harris

I cannot recommend them enough. I am a new bike owner and have come in several times needing help with things like adjusting my seat and putting my back wheel back on and reattaching the chain after someone tried to steal it and took it off. They helped me at no charge and showed me how so I can do it myself next time. My friend has also come here for service and they are fast, knowledgeable, and charge very reasonable prices. When I am ready to buy my next bike I will absolutely be coming here. Love this place!

  • Jake

My go to bike shop in Atlanta Lee (one of their mechanics) is by far my favorite mechanic in the city: super knowledgeable with a history in being a mechanic for race teams, earnest, and kind as can be. Not to mention he puts up with my cobbled, vintage Frankenstein bikes with mix-matched parts that produce existential levels of mechanical mystery If you get to know these guys and become a regular they will certainly treat you right A community hub as well, a lot of people just come here to hang out

  • Aileen Farshi

Took my newly acquired 80s Fuji in for a tune-up and received excellent service. I dropped the bike off the day before my appointment date and it was ready for pickup by EOD. Paul and the rest of the team were incredibly friendly and answered all of my questions. I was able to purchase a helmet, bike pump, and ulock when I picked up my bike. So happy this business is right in the neighborhood. I will definitely be back and would recommend them to anyone needing their services.

  • David G

The folks were incredibly helpful when I brought my bike in needing an adjustment. I later brought a friend here with a bike problem and he received the same great service. This is a great bike shop and everyone I’ve interacted with here have been great. I live in midtown and I could walk my bike to a shop that’s near Piedmont and Cheshire Bridge. However, that midtown bike shop told me on the phone they are not servicing bikes, and I’m glad I found Atlanta Pro Bikes.

  • Aisha Harun

Bought a bike from them about a month ago. I went to a few bike shops in the area, and they were very knowledgeable, with great service. The best thing is that my purchase came with one year service warranty, so you can bring in for the first year if there are any issues and they'll look at your bike for free. Also, you get two free bike tune ups at 6 and 12 months. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

  • Adam Silcio

Very good group of guys willing to help you and educate you on first time purchases. I brought the kid I am mentoring with his broken bike and they serviced it. The customer service we experienced was what had me coming back a month later to buy my own bike. A lot of shops around Atlanta have good ratings but these guys really earn my 5 stars and appreciation. Thank you again!

  • Adam McClure

Mike and Paul at Atlanta Pro Bikes were awesome at helping me pick out a new bike. They answered my many questions and got me on several bikes to test ride. They are super knowledgeable and based on how I intended to ride - they found me the perfect bike. A got a Kona and liked it so much that I went back and got my wife one the next day. Great bike shop and great folks!

  • Arondale Withers

Awesome service experience. Helped me out in a pinch w/ a disc brake service when I couldn't bleed my brakes @ home. I'll be able to ride the trails tomorrow AM as planned this wkd instead of waiting 10 days for simple service @ competing bikes shops! Super appreciative of their professionalism and working with me for same day turnaround. 6 stars. RM Altitude PowerPlay.

  • Joseph Geoghegan

Great experience !!! Rented bikes for the Marathon weekend. Called ahead and had a great conversation, learned what kind of bikes, and they gave us all the flexibility in the world. Rental day was incredible, the owner had everything set before we even walked in. If I lived in Atl, I’d definitely go back often !!! Paul, Mike ... all of us loved the day !!! THANKS !!

Once the pandemic started, I took up cycling to pass the time and stay in shape. APB set me up with a Kona NRB Rove and I've been happily pedaling ever since. From the community centered ownership to the knowledgeable mechanics, APB truly stands out as a quality establishment. I routinely visit for tune ups and bike accessories. I've never left disappointed!

  • Ryan M.

Brought a pretty broken bike looking to see if I could fix it up and have it be rideable. They convinced me it would be no problem just cost $150 to get it working again so I paid up and when i went to pick it up it still barely worked. Now I have an unusable bike and I’m out some cash, definitely got hustled. Also none of them were wearing masks.

  • Katie Jones

One of my favorite local bike shops. They are always happy to give advice, independent of whether it will lead to a sale. They'll even help make small adjustments, like seat height or handle bar straightening, for free. This business is about building a community and educationing people over the bottom line. Support local and visit them.

  • Kenneth Gilbert DDS

These guys are great. I did not realize they were opening a shop in the neighborhood. Walked in and got a perfect solution for a bike problem I was having. Then we talked about some new gear I needed (helmet) and they ordered me the right size and color right there. Very cool. Thanks Paul and everyone for your help.

  • Chloe Terpstra

Impressive stock, especially considering the supply shortage right now. Gravel Bikes and Commuters are in high demand right now, and their prices still manage to compete fiercely even with what you'll find on the internet. This place is the real deal if you want to take your money somewhere local for a quality ride.

  • Matt Terrell

Atlanta Pro Bikes went the extra mile to help me. When I had a problem with my bike months after they did a tune up (not related to their work, but the age of my bike) they kindly helped figure out what was the issue, helped me figure out what parts I needed to buy, and put them on for free. Highly recommended!

  • Eric Kanov

THIS BIKE SHOP IS AWESOME!! GREAT STAFF OF DOWN TO EARTH GUYS THAT DO NOT ACT LIKE YOUR "NOT IN THE CLUB" IF YOU ARE NEW TO BIKING. PATIENT AND HELPFUL. PERFECT SPOT IN VAHI. I BELIEVE THEY ARE ALSO RENTING BIKES!! SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES AND GIVE THEM A TRY, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

  • Vinny Patel

Wonderful bike shop ran by friendly folks. Bought a new bike from here earlier this year and just had the first service, very efficient, she rides even better and they even cleaned it! They keep it simple, honest and honor their promises, stewards to the Atlanta community- keep it up!

  • Sandra Goldi

Went in expecting to buy a new wheel to fix the shimmy in my front tire. They tightened all the spokes for $15, a short wait, and problem went away. They also maintain good COVID practices all while being very kind and customer-focused. I would definitely recommend.

  • Bridget Graf

Atlanta Pro Bikes is the best. I’ve bought two Konas from them, and the process was easy. I just went in for my one-year tuneup, and my bike feels brand new! They also got it tuned up quickly so I could get it back before a trip. Quality bikes, great shop!

  • Richard Ogletree

I emailed the shop to ask if they had a specific bike in stock. They were very quick to respond and answer my questions. I went by later to test ride and ended up purchasing the bike. Mike, Paul, and the rest of the staff were very nice and helpful!

  • Unspoken Passion

If I could give no stars I would. Called ahead for a specific part & was told that it was in stock. Traveled quite a distance only to find out once I arrived, that said part was not indeed in stock. My time, energy, & effort was totally wasted.

  • Andrew McArthur

Smaller shop but fantastic workers. Have taken my bike there on two different occasions in the past week and they're quick workers and amazing. Service is cheaper than Outback Bikes at little five. Easier to park on North Highland Ave too.

  • Robert Macon

The fellas at Atlanta Pro Bikes are as good as it gets! In a pinch, I needed a flat fixed on short notice, only 20 minutes before their closing time. I called ahead and was told to bring over. For Paul and his associates it was not a
