Filled my prescription through this location. They offered to kept the script which had 3 refills left. Now, I have to go back to the doctor to get a new script. As I am not a resident it will be $80 to go to the doctor again. No empathy from the employees at this location. Thank you for the phone call, but you completely misread the situation. You called my doctor without asking me prior and still you were not able to fill my prescription. I am not sure about this, but I never gave you consent to call my doctor as I was not going to fill my prescription with you again. You also called around looking to see where I filled the other prescription. I am not sure why you felt the need to find that out as well or why you spent the time. You are right, but you did not bother to look at the dosage. I could have had over a year of my prescription, but the majority of that was too large a dose in case my condition worsened while on a ship for months. So, I really should have only filled 5 months. As I said in my post earlier, you offered to hold onto my prescription for future refills during my original visit. You now do not have it. So, now I have to make another appointment to fill the prescription at $80 as I am not a resident. I will leave my post as a 1 star still as I feel like you have gone out of your way to not only try to cover yourself on google maps, as well as trying to make it look like it was my fault in the process.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Pretisha (I assume she is the pharmacist I spoke), who I believe to be the best pharmacist I have ever encountered in Australia. Not only was she incredibly professional, but her outstanding customer service truly made my day (or even my week). I wanted to express my appreciation for her assistance with my purchase of insulin from the pharmacy. Pretisha's attentive and receptive approach to my needs really stood out to me. She took the time to listen to my concerns and ensured that she didn't miss a single word of my explanation. Her polite and cheerful manner was a breath of fresh air and instantly put me at ease. I had been given misleading information about the price of the insulin from another pharmacy, but Pretisha quickly identified the discrepancy and provided me with a clear and easy-to-understand explanation. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't have known the correct policy regarding my medication. Pretisha's positive attitude, excellent choice of words, and knowledge of customer needs truly sets her apart. She went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied with my experience at the pharmacy. I would be happy to return to this pharmacy for her excellent service and professional care.

Please avoid this pharmacy. Once you buy something, don’t ever think of returning it. Over priced My first visit was great but 2nd time I bought a medical accessory (not anything that is taken orally). The box was slightly damaged/slight crooked when I bought it but I didn’t mind it. But my uncle didn’t need it anymore and so I tried to return the next day. I hasn’t been used nor even taken out from the box. They started of accusation and questioning with the damaged box and pointing out I damaged it. “What did you do to the box?” The item hasn’t been used and they refused to accept the return and coming up with multiple excuses. Stuff were so rude. Ever since, I avoided going to this pharmacy. No wonder all the pharmacies like amcal and smaller brands are closing down because of such customer service and ridiculous return policy.

Such an amazing staff especially the late night staff is so so so amazing..and so knowledgeable. Just to describe their knowledge, GP prescribed me a medicine which this pharmacist refused to give and explained me why it is not good to take this medicine. In fact they tried calling GP but obviously it was a night and GP wasn’t available. Next day i had to go to hospital and doctor said good that I didn’t buy the GP prescribed medicine otherwise I could have passed in sleep. After this incident, they even called me and did good follow up as well which is very very surprising compared the chemist warehouse where they have dummy pharmacist who so so rude. Even if i have to pay some extra bucks, i would still prefer this pharmacy over any other. They made me leave to write this review. Ever smiling staff..Awesome

Called the pharmacy after 11pm in urgent need for baby medicine. Was told that the pharmacy actually closed at 11pm on Sunday's (I had completely lost track of which day it was and was thinking the pharmacy was open till midnight), but the lady was willing to still assist. Given we were about 15 minutes away, she very kindly offered to stay open till 11.30. Got to the pharmacy on time and were served very professionally, despite the fact that the pharmacy was meant to be closed. We truly appreciated the staff staying back well after closing time when they could have easily not answered the phone or not offered to keep waiting. Will definitely recommend pharmacy to others for excellent service.

This pharmacy is open late yes but their prices and ways of doing business are absolutely ridiculous! They wanted $12 for a very basic script that priceline charges 7 to 8 bucks on non concession but they wanted 12 bucks plus 2 bucks per pick up, 5 pick ups and that equals more than 20 dollars! More than 4x any other chemist I've ever been to by a BIG margin! Go somewhere else like the now newish 24 hour Knox city pharmacy where you'll also get treated with more respect. Watch out for fake good reviews on this place to, there's alot of single review only people magically popping up for this place, it's scam, scam, scam you all the way so be careful and read down the list further.

Terrible experience. Their website prices are so misleading because they’re completely different from in store. I wanted to purchase an item that was listed as $9.99 on their website, but in store it was $16.95. I asked why the prices were so different and they just said that the prices vary from the website to the store, so then I don’t understand the purpose of their website? $7 variance is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Their click and collect system was also down so I couldn’t get the website price anyway, and all they could offer was 10% off the $16.95. Buyers beware! Products here are marked up a lot compared to competitors in the market so just buy them there.

I just wanted to say a really big thank you to the team at Nunawading Amcal. Especially the dedicated pharmacists. My Dad recently had a heart attack and was so overwhelmed after being discharged from hospital. I’m interstate and can’t thank you guys enough for being so caring. One of the pharmacists there sits down with Dad monthly to chat about his health, Dr appointments and packs his medications for the month ahead. She also keeps track of all his medication changes and makes sure he understands what each medication does. We’re so grateful, I can’t begin to tell you what a difference this makes. Thank you guys!

Best Pharmacy I've found. As said in other reviews, you can go to a chain ie chemist warehouse and find cheaper prices.. but in my opinion the amazing customer service and knowledge by staff is incomparable. (As a nurse these guys actually know their stuff AND treat you kindly and with patience). I will gladly return no matter where I move to, as ironically my experience trying a closer chemist warehouse made me feel like I was a criminal as I have to take valium for panic attacks Patricia you are a gem. Please don't leave

The best pharmacy by far, they have taken care of me and my family for years. If they moved over an hour away I would still find them. They are thorough and polite and go above and beyond. I couldn't name another pharmacy like them. *edit* Just read some of the negative reviews, I can wholeheartedly disagree with all of them. I would find it very hard to believe that many people have been to them as long as I have and have never have I been upsold or been given bad advice. Please take the time to visit them and see for yourself.

Outstanding customer service, product range and convenience of trading hours. I have visited this pharmacy for over 10 years, and since moving further away, still make the trip to Amcal Nunawading for friendly attentive service, expert advice, and competitive prices on items I need. In todays day and age, top notch customer service and genuine client care are rare things indeed and i'm glad it still exists thanks to the Amcal Nunawading team. Highly recommended.

The best pharmacy: not for stock or lowest price. They are very knowledgeable and have a great range of medicine. Frankly the staff here are what keeps this pharmacy cranking. They do have some “quirky” items to browse which is always great. Price is very fair, and compares with Chemist Warehouse. If you are sick of 20 year old pharmacist asking “have you ever used this before” after your fourth repeat, try it out on your next pharmacy trip.

This a great pharmacy - I've lived close to it (Blackburn) for nearly 15 years, and unfortunately only discovered it recently (probably because it's a little hidden away from the corners of Maroondah Hwy and Springvale Rds). Very friendly and helpful staff, and open much later than most. Going forward will be taking all of my scripts here. Thanks also for the free 2019 calendar - much better than the one from Whitehorse council!

Was very ill on Tuesday night after been given the wrong antibiotics... got the right ones then was sold something to prevent thrush. $69 later and two days later I have the worst case of thrush ever. Don’t let them talk you into something. They are not doctors. Have to spend more money on more medication. Very annoyed. Won’t be going back

Nunawading Amcal are an excellent pharmacy. Very professional, convenient to my home and carry the other pharmacy essentials like toiletries, diapers, cosmetics and assistive devices. They are also open late when almost all others are closed with friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Highly Recommended!

Prices here are extremely marked up compared to other pharmacies such as chemist warehouse. The variance is almost uncanny for the same product. Also don’t rely on their website prices because they say that the website prices vary from in store which is a bit ridiculous and unheard of.

Got asked 3 times if I needed help within 2 minutes (not exaggerating) of entering the store because I was dressed in trackies since I'm sick and wanted to grab some medicine. Made me feel like I was a criminal. What am I going to steal? 10 dollars worth of medicine? Yea ok buddyy

I purchased a simple tablet from this pharmacy and I was charged almost $27. Next week I went to Chemist Warehouse and purchased the identical product for under $12. The difference is significant. That was the last time for me buying anything from them. Not acceptable.

This chemist is what any good chemist should be. The staff are friendly and talkative, great opening hours, with a collection of bits and bobs that give the place a truly great character and enough entertainment for the short time you wait for your script.

Ridiculous prices... Paid 3 and 1/2 times more than what I would pay at Chemist Warehouse... (paid $18.08 instead of what usually costs me $5.20 per script) Pathetic :( Not sure how they can justify that!!!!

I have been using this pharmacy for myself and my family for 5 years. I have always found the staff to be warm and welcoming. It was awesome to see on a visit staff engaged with a person using Auslan Sign.

Visit this pharmacy regularly because staff are welcoming, they are friendly and give good service. Also not a long wait for prescriptions. Really helps that they are open till late as well.
