Dr. Alvear has been our family doctor for well over a decade now. He saved my mom's life when her blood pressure was at a dangerous level and has kept my dad out of the hospital, due to his chronic asthma, for many years. He has helped me numerous times when I was in terrible pain from my tonsils and instantly figured out the problem my boyfriend was having, which was misdiagnosed twice by a hospital. A week of pain fixed in 10 minutes by Dr. Alvear. He knows what he is doing, he's more available than any other doctor I've had and he really cares. His rates are also very fair for those who don't have insurance. No, it is not the fanciest place, as he has been at this location for many, many years, but if you want a GOOD doctor, I highly recommend him any day.

I never been to this doctor but I called today to find out what time they open and the girl who answered the phone didn’t really let me finish my sentence and told me something I really didn’t understand because of her heavy accent I tried to ask again and she hung up on me. Tried several times to call back but got sent to voicemail right away. Voicemail said to leave a message for Lisa. Not sure if she was the one answering but I’m not going to that doctor, especially after I read the reviews.

Crooked as they come but still shady and stingy. He's using dated Medical books, is banned permanently from taking any kind of government Medicare or Medicaid, is not taking insurance for a year, and in general is not at all concerned with your health but more less keeping his license even if that means you suffer as a patient garbage and I've been going to him for 3 years no one else

I’ve been going to Dr Alvear since 2015. I don’t know why someone complains after going for 3 years? Um why would you go to a horrible provider for 3 years who doesn’t take your insurance? The doc is quick and treats me in and out usually but his office can be busy. It’s not a fancy place. They keep costs down and it gets pretty hot summer wise.

For years Ive been a patient. I know he is the best doctor in Las Vegas! And I have lived there for 58 years. I live in Pahrump, NV. I will drive anywhere, any distance to keep Dr. Alvear as my doctor!
