We were given recommendations to go with Allied Pickfords to move our things overseas. We were reassured by a staff that our process will be a reliable and a smooth one. Once our things had been sent to Richlands and we had made the move overseas & we had not received any email updates on the process of our shipment. The staff member Haylee Eazard, the Move Coordinator was suppose to keep us updated on the process. Nearly 2 months in living in the UAE, I had sent an email to her regarding our shipment process. She had mentioned she had not received any information regarding our shipment from the shipping company. From that I was ok with that reply, until the next few emails came back with the same reply, no answers. It wasn't until I sent an email making a complaint about how poor their communications and customer service was, that she magically replied with dates. She finally did something!! The dates given was EST Depature date: 27/10/2020 EST Arrival date: 27/11/2020 Along with a message saying just know date changes amy occur, I was good with that information. When it came close to that date or on the given departure date, that I had sent an email asking for an update on the process. Right now I'm thinking "Why am I(the customer) having to follow up on my shipment?". She then sent an email later on mentioning that there is a date change to the shipping and said that the shipping department told her the night before, which I think is a bunch of BULLCRAP!!! So the next dates given were EST Departure Date: 3/11/2020 EST Arrival Date: 3/12/2020 With the same message saying dates may change. When I had emailed her on Tuesday the 3rd of November about our shipping process, she mentioned in an email that there has been NO changes to the date. So Im thinking "yes, today is the day!". I had asked if she could send me the tracking number etc for my knowledge. She emailed saying once the shipping is on the ship, she will send through all that info. That time I was excited to have our things be on it's way to us. I had emailed the same day asking if our shipping has left, from that day Tuesday 3rd until now I have not received any emailed from her since the . I have emailed every day mentioning if she has any updates for me and is our shipment making its way to us. So, today I had emailed a frustrating and disappointing email on her poor communication and customer service as a Move Coordinator. Lets see what comes from that!

I very recently moved from Brisbane to Cairns. I have used Allied Pickford before. I rang and arranged for their assessor to attend and quote for an uplift from Brisbane. Please excuse me as I have a terrible memory for names! The assessor arrived on time on the due date 5th January. The uplift was discussed, insurance was discussed and an assessment of volume to be uplifted was completed. Having previously used Allied Pickford I was able to tell the assessor that it would be a container and a half approximately. Assessment documents were printed before the assessor departed. Uplift was arranged for the 22nd January. There was also one car to be transported. On the 10th January I paid for the uplift in full by Bank Transfer and sent a copy of the Bank invoice to Allied Pickford. A few days before prepack Allied Pickford dropped off some boxes for us (the owners) to start the packing of personal items - mostly. Allied Pickford attended on the 19th January to do a prepack. This packing was beautifully done and packed boxes were placed in the garage for uplift on the 22nd. Allied Pickford arrived on the 22nd January with two containers. The three men were courteous and helpful and completed the packing and loaded the Containers. The car was also collected on the same day. Having disposed of some items before uplift I noticed that the entire load was in only one and one quarter in total. Delivery: On 2nd February, in Cairns, I received two phone calls about delivery of the car and the personal effects that would be delivered on the 5th February. Allied Pickford arrived on time and unload the one and one quarter containers. Once again the Allied Pickford staff were totally helpful especially as I asked for some boxes not to be put where the label on the outside suggested. They also unpacked to the bench in the kitchen, reassembled beds and tables, unpacked the large TV. They left no mess and removed all empty boxes. They were cheerful and polite. It was a pleasure to associate with all the staff of Allied Pickford. They left a telephone number so that I can arrange to send the remaining boxes back after I have unpacked them in a few weeks. The car was also delivered on time and in perfect condition. Summary: They are the careful movers. I had no breakages of any sort. I recommend them to anyone who wants a job well done.

Worst experience working with a contractor/business in my life! Neither of the two uplifts were on time, one was an hour and half late and the other was 4 hours late... Then at uplift we were advised that the contracted services of bed dismantling could not be provided as they were not qualified contractors for that work? The quote provided was significantly incorrect on volume estimate resulting in our contract requiring two separate shipments - which were then asked to pay an increased fee of over 25%. As I write this the second shipment is over a week late and is not scheduled to even leave the originating location for another two weeks... Insurance quote was 15x the price for equivalent cover from a third party provider. (and 3x the cost of the actual moving services) Just preying on the captive market... At delivery there was a safety incident where one of the workers slipped on the poorly maintained ramp and fell down injuring himself and damaging our washing machine... The communication throughout has been atrocious, incorrect information given, constant failure to follow up and return phone calls, no ability to provide any details on the delays, what the reasons were or when they might be resolved. No one seems to know or care what is going on. Allied - the careful movers (eye roll) more like the careless movers...

I bought a mobility vehicle from New Zealand and they tried to charge me Custom Duties of over $4K they then tried to charge me for cleaning the vehicle $800 because it failed the Bio check as it had been sitting in their shed. They then added etc hidden costs which they then deducted when I questioned the amounts. I did not trust them and asked another mover Dophin to give them the correct advice to remove the duty. As soon as the vehicle was released for pick up I organised a tow truck emailed and rang AP the tow truck waited for 30 minutes AP saying they didn't know and again no apology. They are disorganised don't return calls and don't know their own business. I never received an apology compensation for the stress caused to my son who has suffered severe physical condition. When I thought they had offered to waive costs they in fact sent another invoice and hidden costs.

Not one to write a review at all let alone a bad one but this company has really let us down. The removalists were all lovely don’t get me wrong. But, we paid for artwork to be packaged as I had a lot. And quite a few large ones at that. They were not packed, covered or wrapped in anyway. These were very valuable pieces and arrived with a large hole and many dints and marks/ hand prints. Not only this our washing machine was broken with the front coming off requiring us to buy a new one the following day. Our TV trimming is coming apart and the entire thing sits on a lean now. On top of this the communication has been horrible, and non existent. I had to email and call multiple times to get any updates as to pick up times and delivery. I have also emailed about damaged items and am still waiting for a response. We were also advised our stuff would be deliver one week and didn’t hear anything so I called and emailed to then be told we wouldn’t be getting it delivered to the following week. We had moved across the country and were stuck with little to nothing and no updates. Just poor service.

Worst experience with very poor customer service, and they don’t respond to emails or phone calls. We repeatedly tried to confirm a moving date and then the agent disappeared for a week with no notice to us or alternative contact. When she finally reappeared late on a Friday afternoon it was to invoice us (which we paid immediately) with no apology or mention of confirming our moving date. She then didn’t come back to us until the following week when our moving date was no longer available! We then had to pay to extend our temporary accommodation for another week with no apology. You can’t even complain because the manager didn’t bother responding to our complaint. When they finally gave us a delivery date a week late they told us they would deliver between noon and 2pm! Completely ridiculous, we had already taken off work to move into our house and we have to pick up our kids at 3pm. Worst experience ever, we will never use this company again.

Used this company to move my furniture interstate. It still hasn't arrived after a month. I decided to use Allied as they provided a good timeframe. My things have been sitting in another state for weeks now and nobody within the company can provide me with any information for when it will arrive. I am told "there is no availability for freight" and I am now spending Christmas and New Years without my belongings, sleeping on the floor. Each of the independent state offices tell me to call another office, the 'move manager' assigned to my booking doesn't answer phone calls or respond to emails. If I cannot get any response from the company in the next week I will be taking it to the ACCC and trying to get my money back. I have never been more confident in not recommending a company.

Charge to my account was greater than the quote with no explanation. I’m following up. Dropped a box and shattered 1/2 contents, they would have heard it but said nothing. Wouldn’t mind if they’d told me as that’s the deal with removalists yet called me over to point out every little irrelevant little thing eg a small dent in the wall ‘we didn’t do that’. Damaged three other items and tried to say the damage must have occurred before. For one of them the removalist said he’d take it home to fix and bring it back when he picked up the boxes. What? I don’t know his repair skills, nor did I know if I’d get it back. Another removalists couldn’t do anything without me as an audience. Very wearing on a long and busy day.

I used Allied Pickfords to move from Brisbane to Canberra in January this year. Never again! Extremely disappointed with the service provided overall. Not only did the items take over 4 weeks to be delivered, two items (armchair and rug) were lost in transit worth about $500. Allied Pickfords also denied the insurance claim as well and blamed it as customer error at the pick up. The move was only the contents of a one bedroom flat so I was appalled at how careless the movement of a relatively small amount of items was to lose two valuable ones. The cost of moving was also quite expensive compared to other providers, so I expected much better service. Do not recommend, I will in future use a competitor.

We planned our move with Pickfords 6 weeks early. Two weeks in and COVID19 was running rampant. We had to leave our house vacant, but had 5 weeks to go until settlement. Pickfords called on Wed and offered us an uplift on the Friday. They were concerned a full lock down would leave us high and dry. They moved us on Friday, in good faith, without a down-payment (which wasn't due yet). In a time of crisis, Pickfords came through for us. They were proactive, and took a financial risk to facilitate first rate customer service. Needless to say the uplift, storage and download were undertaken in the most professional manner. I could not recommend this company high enough. Use them.

From first phone contact to watching the container drive away, the service and attention to detail by everyone I dealt with at AlliedPickfords was faultless. The initial estimate of volume was spot on; the packers were unbelievably fast and hardworking; and the guys who filled the container with my boxes and furniture were punctual, friendly, obliging and most of all,professional. Support from office staff with paperwork, dates and organisation was very reassuring and they anticipated everything. Simply couldn't praise, and thank, everyone enough. A brilliant experience from start to finish. Moved my elderly Mum from her 3bed home in Narangba Qld to a 3bed home in Encounter Bay SA to be closer to me. From the day the consultant came to her home and gave us a comprehensive,and surprisingly competitive quote to the day her household goods arrived in SA was seamless. I never once had to second guess, they were always ahead of the game with a phone call, message or email. I also had my Mums car transported to SA which arrived ahead of schedule without a hitch. Everyone I dealt with were friendly, helpful, caring and professional. I cannot rate Allied highly enough Joan & Cherryl

They picked up in Brisbane and were largely professional until the tried to shut the container door on our king size mattress which anyone could see it would not fit. I came back a few minutes later to find that they had shut the door and removed two boxes to fit it in. I was dubious! Unpacked in Adelaide only to find it split at the seam so it will have to be replaced. (insurance) a bit more care and this could of been avoided. Adelaide Allied were very good in delivery service Overall we have moved with Allied a number of times and found them very good

Allied Pickfords are a great removalist company that I would recommend to anyone. Right from the time they come to assess your goods to move to the time they deliver your goods, they are extremely punctual and flexible. Their prices seem to be quite fair as well. Did a move from Brisbane to Perth and it cost us only a couple of grand including the delivery at home. The delivery also includes unpacking & discarding the packaging of the white-goods, lounge, mattress and other furniture. Really great service and will use them in the future.

Non-existent commitment on safety from this corporation. Photo shows obstruction of footpath during a neighbour's move. Forced school kids to dodge, and a jogger was forced onto the street! And I was only watching for a couple of minutes! When I approached to challenge, i got a barrage of verbal abuse, and a demonstration from driver of how easily he could remove the company logo off the side of his van...presume an indication of 'I'm only a contractor '! Clearly a poor corporate culture, and lack of commitment to HSE.

I couldn't be happier with the service that we received from both ends of our move. The Brisbane crew were fantastic and the decision to pay for packing the kitchen was a good choice. The young fella that came in packed seventeen boxes in the time it took me to pack 2! Everything was unloaded easily and on the day set. The crew at the other end put everything where asked and nothing was too much trouble. I am very happy with the whole experience and appreciated the professionalism, eg follow up calls.

I was nervous about moving interstate, having only moved locally and moved myself, I was unsure how having someone handle it end to end would work. But from having someone come out and check it over for a full quote, to the communication along the way, the packing of all our stuff and moving was handled easily! It was such a relief and so easy, definitely would recommend and I know for myself I won’t want to do the packing and moving alone again in future, I’ll be using them again for sure!!

A lot of things were damaged and we'll need to put a claim on. TV unit has a huge punctured hole. Dining table metal frame has a huge dent and was pushed inwards. Side table was badly damaged in corner. Mattress has a fold that is not returning to normal. Bed frame also had impact damage and screws are busted. That's what we found so far. Very concerning. As an additional note, our car hasn't arrived yet and it's been over 3 weeks from estimated delivery date. I will not be using them again.

I highly recommend Allied Pickfords for anyone moving interstate. Not only are they fast and reliable their customer service before, during and even after the move was EXCELLENT! After they picked up the empty boxes from our new house the recycle team found a university certificate in one of the boxes which I overlooked during unpacking. Dented our fridge, removed a metal backing off our washing machine, busted a futon open. Never got payment for badly damaged futon. The item handling was rough which is why we experienced so many damage in one transaction. The muscle men must take care otherwise get other workers. If management doesn’t penalise the removalists on the ground they will continue being careless. It’s very immature and irresponsible. Don’t use these guys people!!

We had to do all the chasing up to know what was going on Guys in Melbourne were excellent unloading Guys in Brisbane loading were not great. Not a lot of care taken. New guys turned up half way through loading and they were also really good

Too many examples of high expectations being set by the salesman that just weren't met. If I were to guess, the issue was with the salesman misrepresenting the service rather than the delivery team underdelivering. I gave constructive feedback after the uplift that wasn't even acknowledged, let alone responded to. A shame really because I found the delivery staff excellent - hard working, courteous and committed.

Following my internet inquiry Graeme visited and discussed a tailor made solution to having our house painted. We needed the house contents moved off site and furniture moved to the centre of each room. Luke and Ben attended on the day and it was 100% smooth. The pickup commenced late (1.0 hours) and took far too long as insufficient resources were allocated. The delivery was also late (2.5 hours) and resulted in damage to the property. Communication was disappointing. Allied? Never again.

Paid a fortune to move out to Roma. Put a hole in the wall and tried to cover it up with the furniture. Couldn't figure out how to put two screws into a dresser, resulting in a broken mirror after the fact.
