Amazing. I am so grateful and thankful that I found this shop. I bought the 20% laurel oil soap first and use it as everything cleanser. I use it to wash my face, my body, and my hair. It was odd at first to wash my hair with a bar and the feeling after rinsing was not what I was used to. I have been trying to use up my expensive shampoo and conditioner but I don't like e them any more. My hair is in so much better condition just using this soap and no need do or conditioner. As a soap in the shower it is also amazing. Prior to using this so soap my legs were very dry. Now they are moisturized and my skin is much happier. I also use this soap as a face wash every day. I recently purchased the rose water they carry and now my skin care has simplified and improved too. I wash my face with the soap, pat it dry then apply rose water with a cotton round. My skin on my face just keeps getting better. I don't wear foundation and my skin gets compliments. This is amazing to me as I am 53 and my skin is the best its ever been. I also purchased the cream they make. Omg another home run product. Not only is it a lovely cream for my hands but it also does double duty as a hair style product. I put a little cream on my hand and add some water, mix it up and apply it to my hair. My wavy hair looks as good, or even better, than when I use curl cream and expensive hair products. My husband also uses it this way and his hair looks way better. I can't say enough about how much I love their products.

I was at the warehouse doing a tour and what caught my eyes was the label on the container showing canola oi/olive oil mix, a glycerin bottle and a bag of flour. I am hoping you’re not adding flour in the soap. If you are you really need to tell the public about it as you know this really bad for people with Celiac disease. Health Canada really needs to look into this company ingredients list. Looking at the soap packaging labels you don’t see canola oil, glycerin or flour listed as an ingredient. That means all the soaps including the 2%, 10% & 20% laurel oil that you have been selling were fake, not natural, using artificial colors and perfume. If something that simple as listing an ingredient you’re not telling the truth about. I wonder what other ingredients you’re hiding from customers. Lying to your customers to make a profit is not how business is done in Canada. You’re a bad example for all the refugees. I will be boycotting all of your products.

I have been buying soap, coconut oil, essential oils from Aleppo Savon since shortly after the store opened. All the products are exceptional, but the soap is particularly good, especially in our dry climate. It is pure, hand-made with organic oils like laurel & coconut, and it is naturally scented without harmful chemicals. Wonderful for everyday use or for gifts. Can be used as a shampoo, as well; excellent for restoring a healthy shine without drying the hair and scalp. It's worth a trip to the store to meet Abdul Fattah, Walid and Hosny. You won't meet more dedicated people, hardworking and devoted to making and selling quality products. Visit them and you will leave inspired! Photo shows a bar of their Aleppo Soap, the "star" of their soaps.

I ordered five soaps for 30% aleppo soap and oud scented rope soaps. I absolutely loved them both! I've become inclined to the crunchy way of life and avoid artificial things. The soaps are all handmade and natural with traditional method and locally made! I use it to wash my curly hair and on skin so replaces shampoo and soap. For first few washes you can feel little weird but as you continue using the natural soap..skin and hair adapt and feel so nourished. I highly recommend Alleppo Soaps.fast delivery, great customer care. Promote local business and healthy lifestyle. Note: this review is not sponsored and honest opinion.

I highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to experience the beauty of handmade soap with ALL natural ingredients. The smell alone is enough to drive you crazy in love with these excellent products. I've been using Aleppo Savon for about 4 years now and I will NEVER use soap from another company again. Aleppo Savon leaves your skin squeaky clean, literally! I love their gorgeous products including the body butter, Argan oil, hand cream, and liquid soap. Their delivery service is fast and fantastic! Thank you Aleppo Savon! ❤❤❤

The owners create the most beautiful soaps I've ever used. I was an exclusive LUSH fan before finding this place and I'm not going back. Their soap can be used on the hair and body, and is gentle even to sensitive skin. The owners are incredibly friendly, and will happily chat with you on a variety of subjects. Incredibly kind people. For shoppers interested, they also carry a large stock of perfumes, oils, and related products. Everything here is a fantastic quality and at reasonable prices.

I found Aleppo Savon after watching a Youtube video about the ancestral soap industry of Aleppo. I was surprised that there was an authentic Syrian soap maker producing here in Calgary! I tried the original laurel soap and gave a sample to my siblings, and now we are all loyal customers! My favourite ones are lavender, laurel, and lemon. I would highly recommend them to anybody, specially if you're looking to move away from industrial body washes that are full of harmful chemicals.

I've ordered online before but today I was in the neighbourhood so I thought I'd stop in. They have a wonderful selection that's thoughtfully displayed in the store front. The gentleman who appeared from the back was helpful and knowledgeable. I'm happy for such wonderful products and thrilled to support a small business like this one. The soap itself has a wonderful clean scent, makes me clean and hydrates my skin. The candles don't give me a headache.

We discovered this gem by pure accident. A metro paper during a relaxed Saturday lunch had an article about the grand opening. We decided to be supportive and check it out. It was lined up out the door. A fantastic opening and the families that runs Aleppo are so nice. We go back regularly to restock and are following their success as the expand. The product is great, as are the prices. If you are asking if you should go and try it, the answer is yes.

I went to the Aleppo Savon in Sunridge mall and bought some Jasmine scented soap for my mom. The service was really good, there was a really sweet boy managing the front who was very helpful in telling me about the different products. The soap smells absolutely amazing, we may as well have perfume in the bathroom because you can smell it as soon as you walk in. The soap is very moisturizing for your skin too. I will definitely be going back.

I wanted to try Allepo Savon for the longest time ... and I did a few weeks ago!! First, I love the smell, not over powering and just right. When using the soap I don’t feel my skin has any ‘residue’ and it does not feel dry either. Me and my family really enjoy visiting their warehouse and learn more about how they make their soap!! A lot of my family will receive some Allepo Savon as part of their Christmas gift!!

  • Georgina Metzler

Love this soap, it's hand made by the owners who are multi generational soap makers, the one's legacy is so far back, his last name means 'soapmaker'. I've been using the Allepo one for two weeks now, it looked odd to me because its a light brown on the outside and green on the inside, but it's really lovelt. I've even used it on my face and hair. It's gentle, has oils and nothing is dried out afterwards. Great soap.

A very clean, pleasant-smelling store with impressive products. After using the olive soap and some with other fragrances, one's skin feels so much softer and cleaner. This is the only soap that will be used in my home in future. It is great to be able to buy a natural product made in Canada and can't wait to get your new cream that we tried in the store. You were so welcoming and friendly, an asset to the community.

My oh my, this is arguably the best soap in the world. Authentic Aleppo style soap right here in Calgary, and the only place that does this type of thing in north America I believe. Absolutely premium premium product that is honestly quite affordable for what it is. I was given a person tour by the owner and am very grateful for his help and expertise. Will be returning! P.s. this place smells incredible

10 star! I never used soap, not even the fancy ones, because it's too dry and I don't like the feel on my skin. Until now! I got the original laurel soap from Aleppo Savon and it is soft, gentle, has a subtle scent and lathers nicely. Luxurious! I now use it in the shower and for my face and can't get enough of it! And the owner at the store was so friendly and helpful! Wonderful soap and people!

  • Saif “Sam Majid” Abdul Majid

This shop sells the best soap products that I've ever used. The soap doesn't leave a dry skin after washing it out. They have many types of unscented and scented soap products with different grades and contents of natural olive oil and other natural ingredients. Will never be disappointed if you try their products, trust me!

  • Miss A Hug

Great place to stock up on YYC-made Aleppo soap. The owner is very friendly and the products are fantastic. My personal faves are the original Laurel oil soaps but there are unscented or “fruity” options. Great for stocking stuffers or teacher gifts. And you get to support a local family-run business! Win-win.

  • The Josie

We are so thankful for this company. I use this soap exclusively & I even use it as my shampoo. The families who operate this business are incredibly generous. We've been able to watch them actually making their soap! The product is exceptional! You really should go buy some, you won't regret it.

  • Brandi Starecki

The kind of soap that ACTUALLY makes you squeaky clean :) Actually! Come visit and ask about the history of Aleppo soap, origins, process, and beneficial properties. Love this place and most importantly their SOAP!!! Thanks to my Mother in the pic who showed me the light ;)

  • Justin Gray

I saw this store on the news months ago and I had to drop in. The owner was really nice and friendly. He showed me where he makes the soap. We drove 2 hours to shop and grab some great Aleppo Savon soaps and oils. I’ll be telling all my friends and family to drop in.

  • Lisa Cooper

Met the owner when he launched at Safeway, learned about the company. Later I visited their SE shop and loved seeing the soaps drying. I'm a huge fan of the pear soap as well as the 20% Laurel oil soap. You feel super moisturized after using. Great product!

  • Tess Cummins

I bought the soap with laurel oil and it is lovely; I'll definitely buy it again. The person there was friendly and helpful too. Would have rated it 5 stars but some of the soaps contain palm oil which is a controversial ingredient that is easy to avoid.

  • JustinB

I have been using soap products from Aleppo Savon for 2 or 3 years and keep going back for more. I like the wide range and variety of their products. I also appreciate the friendly service when I go to their store.

  • creativeno

We toured today as part of YYC open house, very informative and not smelly the way some soap shops are... my hubby is very much looking forward to try it, has a problem with how much regular soap dries him out.

  • Firas Tajar

I have been using Laurel soap for years and tried the Aleppo Laurel soap recently and . Frankly when you have such a quality natural product I am not sure why we even bother about chemical shampoos!

  • Tree Lim

Great little startup business with a good quality product. Such a nice success story of a Syrian family restarting their business in Canada and growing it. Lots of nice imported products from oils to lotions.

  • Kendra Nemeth

We love Aleppo Savon. Have been using the Lauryl soap almost exclusively and love it. Tried the new Neem soap, loved the donation to the Red Cross and the product has not disappointed.

  • Kara F

Fabulous soap! I have been using one bar in the shower for almost two months. It lathers up great, has just a hint of scent and leaves the entire family's skin soft and smooth.

A lovely shop with a great variety of soap and scents. The owner was very knowledgeable and shared some of the history and the soap making process with us. We will be back!
