Unfortunately, we had a bad experience on Saturday, 8 July 2023, around noon. We were lining up to go through security to farewell a Japanese student who had been living with us. I am a woman in my 70s with a pacemaker and can not go through the usual screening scanner. We were being directed by a security guard to go to certain aisles depending on the number of people in the lines. I needed to go through aisle number 5 because of my pacemaker. The guard directed me to aisle 4. I tried to explain I needed to go through number 5, but he wouldn't let me speak. He got really close up in my face and yelled, "It's the same line!!" - he did this 3 times, getting angrier and louder each time. I felt intimidated and humiliated. It wasn't until we walked past him and the pillar he was standing next to, that we realised aisle 4 was accepting all phones, coats etc for scanning and then you could move over to aisle 5 fo the full body scan. After this experience I was shaking and my heart rate had accelerated alarmingly. He could have quietly explained to me what was happening but instead chose to use his "authority" to scream at me as if I were a criminal! I found a more senior security guard and asked for the other man's name. He looked at him and said he didn't know his name because he was new but asked me why I needed to know. I was still shaking as I recounted what had happened and said I wanted to make a complaint. He said he would speak to the man about it. I don't know if he did speak to him. I haven't as yet made a formal complaint - would it be an over the top reaction? As it was, I felt I couldn't stay at the airport to farewell the student - I left before her flight departed. It was lucky she was travelling with friends.

The new-generation AU Falcon was released in 1998 with its range comprising the following models: Forté (previously GLi), S, Futura, Fairmont, Fairmont Ghia, XR6, XR6 VCT and XR8. External model differentiation was achieved via the use of different grilles and bonnets (low bonnet and vertical "waterfall" grille on Forté, horizontal single bar on Futura, integrated quad-lamp bumper bar and grille on the XR sports range; high bonnet and large grille on Fairmont range) and more basic fittings such as different alloy wheel designs, rear light clusters (clear turn signals on Fairmont), body colour-coordination and chrome fittings. Initially, the company considered a revamped 5th-generation Falcon and even studied the possibility of fully imported replacements such as the American front-wheel-drive Ford Taurus or rear-wheel-drive Ford Crown Victoria, the European rear-wheel-drive Scorpio[31] and, reportedly, even the Japanese rear-wheel drive Mazda 929[32] (then part of the Ford conglomerate). Developed under the code name "EA169", the AU series adopted Ford's New Edge worldwide styling, which was meant to differentiate it from the "conformist" styling prevalent in the 1990s.[33] The gamble, which had worked with the Ford Focus, did not particularly endear the AU Falcon to its buyers.

Same as most airports in Australia - clean toilets, decent wifi, a variety of food and drink options for early morning travellers, although I didn't see anyone serving fresh bacon and egg rolls. I couldn't find a spot to charge smart devices at the Domestic Boarding Gates. However there was a Business Area, which I briefly walked passed and can only assume that's where you'd find some power points. There's a convenient pick up/drop off zone which turns into long queues very fast. In general, staff are helpful for answering questions. Rideshare pick-up has their own little area next to Hertz which is quite nice, but easy to miss as there's a lack of clear signage. There's also the Atura Hotel, which I've heard is fairly newly constructed. I haven't been, but I can imagine it would be quite nice and of course, it's conveniently placed. As this is a nice connection hub I'd say it's quite a boring place to wait for your next flight. Especially if you're too early or your flight got delayed, like mine.

Lovely well designed modern airport. Good, well placed facilities. Security staff helpful and efficient. The 11pm curfew can create some difficulties for late flights, so best to be prepared for a cancellation or diversion if airlines are running behind schedule. Luggage trolleys are free and plentiful. The rideshare area is a bit tricky to find, is on the left side of the outside of the carpark as you come out of the terminal. For ease of parking you can book ahead for a specific amount of time, but you don't have to specify the arrival time. Overhead walkway between 2nd floor of carpark and the departure level of the airport, lifts & escalators between levels in airport and lifts in the car park. A good range of food, drink & shopping options in the airport during trading hours, which is not up until airport close. Short runway, can make the landing experience a little unnerving if you're not expecting it!

Originally from Adelaide we used to love Adelaide Airport. Spacious, easy and quick get through etc. But not today. It started with rude ground crew and then security. Thinking that we could grab a bit of dinner before getting on the flight at 9.40pm, we arrived earlier and walked in at 7.30pm. To our shock, everything, restaurants, book stores, convenience stores, like everything, was closed. The only establishment open was the Cooper Ale Bar. So we thought we might as well try that. Low and behold, the bar staff told us that the kitchen closes in 2 minutes. At 745pm!!!! I also found out that the bar closes at 8.00pm. There were quite a few other passengers who got caught out and weren't as lucky as us. It was either Subways outside or one of the few vending machines. What an absolute f$%&ing joke. Adelaide true to its reputation.

Super simple to get to. Very easy to navigate and understand location and terminal spots. The parking is a good size that is also easy to understand which leads straight to the airport terminal wherever you park. Elevator makes it easy to go wherever you need. Not a long walk. All short distance. All staff are very helpful and friendly. They always assisting you when you need with a good attitude. Drop off luggage is very modern, quick and easy. Pick up zone is at a good spot and easy to get to. Plenty of amenities, and food options. Lots of places to have a little shop and things to do while you wait. Upgrade is looking real nice. Super clean and spacious. One of the best easy to understand and convenient airport in Australia. Making it super friendly for foreigners and elderly.

As a first time flyer, it was a bit daunting at first. But i soon discovered everyone i asked, was so friendly, & helped me so much. I was in fascinated by the sheer size of the immense building, and all its amenities. Some people were grumbling while in the que to go through security, but it didnt really take that long- & i thought it was a good chance to stretch your legs, before flying (especially if going long distance) the security officers were lovely, & i found the whole experience fascinating. I loved the clear view at the front windows, where i spent most of my waiting time, watching the planes come & go. Sadly, i didnt take any photos while inside.

New, modern, efficient, great views across the city to the Adelaide Hills. Close to city. Good food options in public area and good lounges for Qantas and Virgin (the better of the two). Restrooms all upgraded during Covid and are pretty good. Usually security is efficient however during very early morning the line can be very long and take 30mins to get through (due to a peak of domestic and international flights). This is the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. Airport management should ramp up staff because they know well in advance of the peak. Taxi rank usually has plenty of cabs, and there is an Uber pickup zone too. Car rental is close and easy.

Adelaide International Airport is a fantastic travel hub. It offers a wide variety of dining options, from quick bites to coffee and even alcoholic beverages. The presence of a juice bar is a refreshing touch. Additionally, the airport provides a prayer room, ensuring that travelers of all backgrounds have their needs met. I appreciate the short queues at the restaurants, making it easy to grab a meal before your flight. However, it's important to note that there's a curfew in place, with no landing or takeoff between 11 pm and 6 am. This can be a consideration for late-night travelers. Overall, a pleasant airport experience.

Adelaide airport is a modern facility with very helpful staff but there are too many different checking areas to go through when flying overseas and too much distance between them. As a person with a handicap due to knee replacements and arthritis in many joints it becomes very tedious trying to get through all the different levels of checks. I believe that they should make sure no one gets aboard a plane who could endanger other passengers or aircraft staff the checking stations should be closer together and on one level. I hope this may help others to be prepared for the long haul through the process. Cheers

Don't wear braces to hold your pants up and try to go through security. The buckles kept setting the metal detectors off. I was told to undo one of the buckles and it would ge OK .. it wasn't. So, then I had to remove my shoes. I was also asked if I had had an operation, yes I had. Oh, that was the problem I was told. No it wasn't and heaven knows why it would have been. Then, at last, they found a small pocket knife on my car key ring and lo and behold, no I can't go through. All I wanted to do was to meet my daughter who I haven't seen for years and got treated like a criminal. A pretty poor show ☹️

Not a very big airport but clean and easy to find counter at departure hall. Restaurants are mostly found inside the departure area. After going through the 1st checkpoint, we have to turn left and go down the escalator for another check point and go up another escalator to the gate. For the arrival hall, after passport clearance and upon taking your luggage, we will have to go through a check. If you declare whatever you have brought in your luggage, it's better and easier for the officer to point you to the right counter or exit point. All officers there are nice and friendly.

Adelaide Domestic Terminal was good but the toilets weren't maintained properly. We travelled from Syd to ADL and back today. In some toilets, toilet paper holder wasn't working and in others one of the sinks was puddled with water and dirt. There's no maintenance register in the toilets unlike Sydney or a number to follow up with complaints. General ambience of the airport was good but the charging ports were very sparsely located in comparison to the no. of users. There's a lot more room to upgrade the departure/arrival lounge of the domestic terminal.

  • Monica Cheng

A nice and petite airport, clean and friendly, with architectural features. I found it particularly helpful to have travelex ATM placed at luggage area - something to do before your big luggage appearing on the belt. I would say the signs are insufficient for bus at stop 10. The design is questionable too, you would need to haul the luggage across a square without knowing if one is on the right track. Too far also, most airports would have the bus stop near the door. That said, the bus stop names are very logical, easy for new comers, low fare.too.

Good layout of services, from the carpark to the Terminal. Easy parking, Accessible elevators, stairs, escalators. Security personnel are friendly and efficient, very accomodating when needed. Willing to assist when needed. Once past the security check, you enter the wonderland that is a large shopping precinct. Nicely laid out, a variety of retail outlets, from apparel to food to pharmacy, all top notch, quality products well presented. Currently under renovations with the addition of a few new retailers moving in. All in all, a very nice airport.

  • Matt M

Recently traveled to Adelaide, arrival and transition to outside ride share pick up point was simple. Great covered ride share pick up point with allocated/numbered pickup points for drivers to meet you was well organised. There are a number of retail food outlets and ample seating. The restrooms entranceways are doorless and the washroom facilities are contactless with automated taps, soap dispensers and hand dryers which is great so you don’t have to touch anything when you utilise and exit the restrooms.

  • Alyssa

One of the best interstate/domestic airports for me! I love the airport design and the ambiance. However, My flight got delayed 3x Qantas flight going back to Syd. Im not sure if it usually happens here it was my first time in SA. Anyway, I love that they have maccas and boost also some other restos to choose from. It would be perfect if they will also add some cocktail choicesss like what’s in Brissie. But overall, really nice airport!

  • Anthony Kamau

Absolutely loved it. The check in allows one to go with visitors. Hang around and take coffee and last minute banter. Then for international travellers they do not allow anyone other than passengers. The immigration check was automated. I did not have to talk to anyone. I just followed instructions on where to stand, look at camera, put my fingers in the place shown and the doors opened for me. I wish they did that everywhere I went.

  • Irantha Jayasekara

I have been stranded in domestic terminal for six hours until my next flight and the experience was not bad. Variety of food outlets and shopping options are available. When it gets busy with arrival of couple of flights, washrooms are filled out and people have to wait bit longer in the queue. Have power sockets installed on most of the seated areas and you can work on designated comfortable working benches with your laptops.

  • Raf K

Adelaide airport after renovation is really one of nicest and functional airports in this country. Very efficient and not overcrowded gets you everywhere fast. The only improvement is the international section being so far away from main entrance and the fact that you need to go through security second time over there which is pointless doing it twice. Otherwise seems like a good balance of places to eat or grab a coffee

  • Mahmud Masum

One of the best airports in my opinion. You don't need to pay for trolley. Clean, nice and tidy airport. Never too busy. Both long term and short term parking facilities. Parking fee reasonable. It has baby change rooms, enough toilets, sufficient sitting arrangements. There rental car booths. The security of international flights is probably too strict. It has newly constructed Atura hotel just adjacent.

  • Andy B

Like all airports, Adelaide is stupidly expensive, but it is well laid out and easy to navigate. You'll pay an arm and a leg for a coffee, lose the kids inheritance on a sandwich or muffin, and need a second mortgage for any of the locally produce goods they try and trap you with. The long term parking is very close and pre-booking makes it a simple and efficient process.

  • Magnus Danger Magnus

If you're departing domestic, be warned that the security screening is the old school system that requires separate screening for laptops and tablets. If you're buying coffee past the checkpoint, be warned it'll have a 70% markup and take 15 minutes to make. If you're arriving, be warned that this town shuts down at 8:30 every night except during Fringe season.

  • LILLY WILLIAMS

Just wanna say to the guy who helped my dad on 29th of june 2019 I thank you very much for helping him as I muchly appreciate it. Also very clean and busy but that's normal all the time Always kept clean, even the toilets were clean, Even though it was busy last time I was here with a friend of mine, but we managed to get through without any issues at all

  • WENDY SPENCER

Well designed with wide open spaces and walkways. The staff on the bag check area are friendly and helpful, and the scanner is fast and efficient. Wonderful having the grand piano for people to stop and play...it really brings some joy and happiness to your day, whether you are just arriving or about to leave. Well done, Adelaide, on this innovative idea.

  • Asara Senaratne

Not too busy. I went there early morning at 5am to get an interstate flight. It wasn’t busy at all probably could be it was early morning. Helpful staff at check-ins. The food shops were closed except for one. This is the only negative comment I’ve got. Food is priced as normal as what you get outside. A coffee for $5. There was ample enough parking too.

  • Carole T

A pretend airport that will always be mediocre due to its position so close to suburban housing with dumb restrictions on noise and landing hours. Not even a business lounge past passport control. You can share the Qantas lounge, before passport control. but NOT if Qantas flights finish earlier than your international flight. Pathetic really.

  • cheree alan

The positives were the staff were friendly and helpful, plus all areas were very clean. However, unbeknownst to me, when you go through immigration, there was only 1 eatery, and 1 lounge (Air Nz don't have a lounge but the partner lounge is in the domestic area. Plenty of seating but the lack of eating options or a lounge was disappointing.

  • Mark McGeachen

Security staff were great, but setup is lacking in information for international departures. Gate staff - not a great experience. Flight delayed while waiting at the gate and not a single announcement from staff - just had to watch the time on the screens changing forward and then back. A little communication would go a long way !

  • PRASHANT CHANDRA

Adelaide Airport has won Airport of the year award for 2022 and is located to the Northern side of Adelaide. Enjoy the wide range of outlets rang8ng from Coopers to Pantry to 100 miles as well as WH Smith and Aussie made products from Kangaroo Islands Honey and gin to Adelaide Hills wine...Time flies by slowly here...

  • Areej

I've never been to Adelaide airport, but I was impressed to see during the busy time the cleanness and tidiness of the airport. The staff was friendly, heaps of shops and eateries to spend time at the airport. No doubt, Adelaide airport management has covered all aspects to make travelers' experiences memorable.

  • O

Normally Adelaide airport is great. Since the last time I came over a year ago they have improved so much, adding heaps of shops and renovating the whole place. Bit disapointed in the international customs bit as it opened at 5 am instead of 3 so made us wait an extra hour but it was all good at the end.

  • Tim Austin

This place hasn't changed, still easy to get flights from here. I caught a flight from the old Adelaide airport side. Easy to book in there. Flew to Port Augusta to pick-up 3 more people. Then onto our final destination, the Beverley mine site. It's a good place to come to book in other services.

  • Eric Davis

The airport is really clean, and I was there when it wasn't super packed. You can was and dry your hands in the same spot. It's easy to walk across the road to the rental cars, not off airport shuttle needed! Bonus of you fly Qantas they know how to load and unload an airplane. Cheers!

  • Johnny Lin

It's a breeze to take night flights through ADL but it can be quite chaotic in a middle of a school holiday. Allow extra time during holiday seasons as the check-in desk are limited and security screening line is not as well as managed as the one in SYD T2 or T3.

  • Lesley Hammond

Good, average airport. The escalators are set at a speed that's a bit too fast for many older people, others who have slightly impaied vision, people who walk a little slowly etc. These people will need to head for the lift, but be prepared for quite a long wait.

  • Graham Harsant

Great feel. If you have to spend time hanging around an airport - and let's face it, we all do, because the airlines (particularly Qantas lately, in my experience) can't get their act together, then Adelaide is one of the better places to fill in waiting time.

  • Avril Atkeg

The domestic terminals have more interesting and varied eateries than the international terminal. Not an exciting airport to explore, but sufficient for travellers with basic needs. Don't expect anything breathtaking for either locals or foreigners to enjoy.

  • lu angella

The security will not help you to contact the aircraft staff, the jetstar staff will not be there before the flight departure and then said it was your fault. No help , wasting money time. Cannot get through, tried to sort it out for one hour, no one help.

  • Diana Waines

I like this airport, it's very easy to negotiate & there's a good hotel right on the doorstep. Have never had any problems going through security, all very relaxed & fast moving. There's a good Qantas Lounge & plenty of other good affordable cafes.

  • Jack Barton

Nice airport, very simple, one long terminal but little to no transport to and from the airport. One thing I would like to see improved is the regional gate, as there is only one and it can get very congested and busy (especially in the mornings).

  • Krish

Great airport, the terminal is undergoing renovations at the international departures and should have a lot more stores than now. Currently just a couple. Pretty clean. Lot of seating area, should have included power points or charging stations

  • Colleen Jackson

It was really good every thing went smoothly Took my mask Just as well people coughing and not doing what they know is right .Was quite impressed by the booking in to luggage putting belt then going through security they were helpful …

  • Alex

Where to begin. Adelaide isn't the biggest city but it sure does splash a lot of funding into public buildings! Whilst the airport itself didn't seem all that big considering it is an entry to a major Australian city, the building was well

  • Harley Parkes

It's an airport that does its job, which is fine. Selection of food outlets and bars is also reasonable. The security arrangement is a disaster though. No other airport in the world (or certainly not Australia) makes you take your laptop

  • Lidia Alejandra Romero

Let me tell you….. Even though Adelaide is a city much smaller than Melbourne the airport has nothing to envy to Tullamarine quite the contrary the toilets are cleaner, a variety of restaurants with plenty to offer to us the coeliacs!!!!

  • Maryann Upright

Bit of a joke, really. We arrived on a Rex flight at the extreme end of the terminal. Also on the flight was an elderly couple who found it hard going to walk all the distance to the bag collection area. Honestly- has this airport never

  • Kira Fleming

Everything's closed, I managed to get a dinner of some cheese and crackers and I can't even find a vending machine now. Pro tip: if you are getting here "late" (around 6:30), get a Subway and then take it through security. Good luck!

  • Wilson Lee

Wonderful renovations! It was my first time visiting in 4 years and the contrast is incredible. The lines were smooth, and the new layout is fantastic as well as the addition of many new stores like Jb-Hi-Fi, and McDonalds.

  • Tellie Niarel

I went to Gold Coast on virgin airline and had 0 problems with them, I got a little lost in the airport as it was my first time flying but the staff the I asked her help were very nice and helped me get to my gate.

  • Janet’s Journey

Has finally had the upgrade it’s much needed. It’s nicely kept clean during busy times. Several eateries and shops to kill some time if need. Multilevel long stay carpark is convenient and easy to organise.

  • ASHLEY CLARK

They have these full body scanners which pick up on the most ridiculous things on women, like a bra clasp. There’s also not tables or anywhere to repack hand luggage after we have to empty it completely

  • Michael Kubler (kublermdk)

The International section now needs you to go down the stairs. There's no Hungry Jacks there anymore, but there's a JBHiFi. Overall it's a nice airport and has free WiFi that's easy to access.

  • Saif Mubarak. UAE

Easy access for everything, fast and easy check in , no difficulty, Friendly helpful staff, everybody is smiling, small duty free shops , restaurants available, Qantas air line Longe is nice ,

  • Jai Elster

Always a hive of activity no matter what time you go. Only thing I'm not a fan of is the drop off/ pick ups where cars are just cutting each other off. Maybe need to rethink it somehow …

  • Shannon Smith

quick to drop bags and head through to gates. Looks like lots of good cafes etc there, although many weren't open due to time of morning. Parking is expensive - even for short term so beware.

  • Nick Mercure

Clean, well staffed, truly flexible domestic and international airport. Multi award winning too apparently. The best thing is they are happy to support local artists by holding exhibitions.

  • Eva Do

One of the best airports, small, clean, airy, full of light, good collection of shops and food. (Unlike the Melbourne airport that feel like it's a miserable, messy 90 years old basement)

  • Julian Si

Edmond in Malaysia Airline checkin counter was very polite and efficient, really nice cafes at this airport which is close to city too. 10 mins Uber ride 15 AUD only this Sunday morning.

  • Robert Chick

Mostly easy to depart. The only problem we had with our flight to Sydney was checking the bags in. We did the 2 bags in the wrong order at first, but was successful when starting again.

  • V

Redeveloped and a nice new international area was built. Lots of sitting areas with comfortable sofas. There are cafeteria, fast food restaurant, bar and duty free shop available.

  • Dion NZ

Clean and easy to get through the domestic terminal. Bags arrived in less than 10 mins. The concierge at the taxi stand was a pro. Got people into the right vehicles efficiently.

  • JM “HighwaterTrouser87” Asmolo

I have never been back in Adelaide Airport for a while. But seems it has done some upgrades from the carpark and airport hotels. Some new shops inside and other facilities.

  • Joss Wayne

Terrible depatures through international security the other day only one xray machine in operation for the general line. Took way to long for such a small airport

  • Ca Bi

Nice and clean airport. Quick immigrations and customs. Downer was the distance between gate and toilets and food options. Id also love more charging options.

  • Ozgirl

It is small airport yet very convinient and easy to get around. Domestic and some international flights arrive and depart from here.(Cathey and malaysia?)

  • Sharlene Glennie

I can say the same of most airports that the food options are not great for intolerances, but the staff here are definitely more helpful than most airports

  • Sompol Vitisvorakarn

Nice airport, starts busy since early in the morning. Nice restaurants inside departure Hall, variety choices of food. We'll done Adelaide airport.

  • Akbar

Very clean and nice. The staff was really helping. The international travelling scanning staff of areas of security was little tough to deal with.

  • Biorn McGinley

Still the best airport in Australia. Pleasant environment, easy security screening, good lounges, good selection of shops and gates are spacious.

  • vince king

Lovely airy design by Hassell Architects, not crowded, and the floorplan is very easy to navigate. Melbourne Airport needs to take notes!

  • Ashley Van Amstel

The airport is looking fantastic after the upgrades. Some good cafes and bars. People were jumping on the piano and playing great tunes.

  • Hooley Fish

Great airport. Free trolley's. Wonderful facilities, however wouldn't post my belt to me which was lost during the scanning process.

  • Daniel Wenas

Renovations are very nice and brings the standard up to an excellent level. Plenty of shops to keep you occupied as well as seating.

  • Michelle Riley

Lots of signage and an information/help kiosk to make it easy to locate where you need to be. Clean and plenty of places to sit.

  • View of Australia

World class airport which still needs improvement on long morning queue for security, passenger drop off area and baggage claim!

  • Hasan G.Doğan

The airport is so close to city center and It's easy to access. Neither too small or big. The staff is helpful and good.

  • Patrick Brock

Brilliant airport, plenty of seating, good staff. Easy access for whatever you want. Good choice of food and shops

  • Hong Nguyen

The airport, the flight and the sky were quite enjoyable every time we went, except the nostalgia. …

  • Natalie Dixon

Well done Adelaide, was pretty easy to bring family in and back out, seeing family off for their flight.

  • Deb Hattingh

  • Lu Liu

An airport with excellent facilities, environment, transportation, services, etc. overall.

  • Mario Ali

Very nice and clean airport. Variety of restaurants and cafes with reasonable price.

  • Glenn Bancroft

Great airport but don't expect the cab drivers to be happy if you're not going far

  • Rambod Karami

Lots of new additions to this airport. Good selection of food now. Clean and tidy.

  • Hayden Broad

Packed with all you need. Like a shopping centre while you wait for your flight

  • Aztec

  • Rohan Hofmeyer

Nice and neat airport, good experience!
