Had some front suspension work done on my Vf Commodore and the next day I went to change my rear rotors over to slotted ones and noticed that the plastic floor pan next to the jacking point had been cracked. I knew this was recent as I work on my car at least weekly, and last time, there was no crack. So I presume it was Ace that did this. However, I can't prove this. But when i spoke to Dale and asked him nicely to "just remind your technicians to be careful when lifting cars" he proceeded to tell me that they dont make any mistakes and im wrong followed by immediately hanging up the phone. So here I am, complaining on google as he can't deal with a complaint properly. To make it worse, I also noticed today that my front lower control arm bushes are badly torn. Something I'd assume they would notify me of, especially as they worked on the front suspension. My previous review was 5 stars, and now they have gone downhill and lost their care for cars.

Had a tow ball fitted. Told my wife that they were open until 5:30pm. Just after 5pm they called and said they were closed and would leave the car outside with the key stashed. Confusing, but fine - whatever. My wife gets there and they have obviously tested the lights after turning off the ignition, but forgot to turn them off, so the battery is dead. Had to wait 45 mins or so for roadside assistance. In 30+ degree heat with two kids. It then turns out that both of our rear indicators don't work, so we have to return it the next morning to get that fixed. More stuffing around. They were very apologetic, but (a) flat battery and non-working indicators isn't acceptable and (b) I would have expected an offer of a discount on the job, given the inconvenience to their customer. But that clearly didn't occur to them. Only thing saving them from 1 star is the competitive price. But maybe you get what you pay for. I wouldn't use them again.

It appears that their service has gone downhill lately along with the attitude of the owner. Booked the car in for a simple exhaust job weeks in advance and drove an hour to arrive on time assuming I receive the same reasonable service as few years back while I wait there. Workshop is dead quite with no staff seen at 10am apart from the owner which is strange. Owner is telling me now the car has to stay for half a day so they do it among other jobs when they can and return my keys straight away when I mention I don't live nearby and cannot wait 4 hours there. Not even the slightest Care to be a bit helpful to the customer! Reconsider visiting this place to avoid waste of your time.

I was recommended by my family mechanic to take my car back to this place as they were the last to service it before I bought the car. On the last service they had heavily over-tightened the oil filter. After explaining it to them they tried to blame my mechanic for touching it last, saying that if they were to loosen the oil filter and break the housing it would not be their fault and that it would cost me 500$. Furthermore they had granted the car roadworthy twice before buying it. Not impressed, took the car back to my family mechanic, someone I can trust.

Dale and the gang are absolutely incredible and the most professional mechanic I've ever met. Incredible reasonable pricing for top quality work, and the fact they call you for updates, and ask permission from everything to getting parts in, replacement and anything that needs attention, makes the service more trust worthy then another business around. I've had my holden commdore done by them and currently getting my ford ranger done also. 100% best guys in the bussiness

Friendly service and contactable. Have serviced my car there twice in the past year or so. On both occasions when I went to fix an issue in my car they were able to get it fixed, but on both occasions when I got my car back there was a new issue straight away. When I asked about the issues I was told "I cannot be responsible for the deterioration of your car". Could be a coincidence but it has costed me hundreds of dollars so rather not take the chance again.

Dale at Ace Undercar Services is very professional and a very honest opererator which is a rare thing these days. Quality work at very fair prices. I have been getting my cars serviced at Ace on a regular basis for 8 years with not one problem. Since moving to this area and trying a couple of different local mechanics, Dale and the team are phenomenal.. I always leave feeling like Dale has gone above and beyond. had them install an exhaust, made the welds too big so to fit the exhaust they just used washers to space it out, very poor quality. had to go back there for them to fix the issue and still not fixed. would not recommend. also dinted the brand new exhaust tips while installing along with scratching the front bumper to where they claim it wasn't them. I Will never return. Not even worth a star for service.

I left a message on the website to book an appointment. Dale got back to me immediately and the car was booked in for a replacement exhaust. Dale is an extremely efficient mechanic who has been in the business a long time. I’ve been there before and have been more than satisfied with his workshop and the competitive prices. over six years loyal customer, always happy with the service provided. they give detailed information when it comes to repairs and always highlight the most urgent repairs to fix first which suits my budget fixing the problems in sections after the service. Starting coming to Dale's place at the recommendation of some friends about 10 years ago. Now that I'm married my husband brings his car for everything too. We do minor services, major services, and any other car issues at Ace. Dale & his team do a great job, great communication, and very upfront about costs, etc. Would recommend to others.

A 'bit' pricey however Dale and the team have been there forever. Can bank on the price they quote on the phone (I've never arrived to find an inflated bill yet). Last time I limped the car in at 7:30am and was able to drive out at 2pm on a Friday (with 3 hours of labor for the required repairs) which was amazing.

Dale and his team are the best. They serviced and repaired cars for me, my wife and daughter for many years, keeping them all in top condition, at a great price and a courtesy car provided if we needed it.. We have since moved 40 kilometres away from Croydon and I still take our cars back to Dale for servicing.

ACE fitted me in at the last minute and were able to do the job at a substantially better price than a quote had from elsewhere. Communication was excellent, with Dale giving regular updates and information about what he had discovered and where they were at with repairs.

No good, very unprofessional, would make an appointment for the morning and then not carry out the work and expect you to wait there all day before they can even start on the car. Save your time and $$$ go somewhere else.

Dale has always been great! And the place hasn't changed since its inception, and that's why I loved it. They did a great job of any work I had done to my XA Coupe to early model falcon. No nonsense and very honest!
