This bookstore is absolutely lovely. Full of all kinds books and treasures as well as various art pieces. The downstairs part of the store is more organized. The upstairs is slightly more clutter but there is a certain something about it that makes it comforting and nice nonetheless. A certain vibe for lack of a better word. The owner of the bookstore is very sweet and really cares about getting to know each and every person who walks through the door

Acadia is my heaven on earth, and the nightmare of my wallet!! I can’t leave this place without at least 5 books, or spending a minimum of 90 minutes. Everything about this store is just beautiful. The stacks of old and new books, the paintings on the wall, Fredo the cat, and even the cashier desk. Let’s just say I am glad I have a very long commute to this place, or otherwise I would never leave…!

The cats are friendly, the owner is not. Very much a specialty shop, where if you’re looking for art books I’m sure it’s the best bookstore in Toronto, but otherwise it’s not worth it. It’s in a rough part of town, and I imagine a lot of people wouldn’t feel safe going there. Since I came all that way, I got one little book that I felt was overpriced, but I won’t be going again.

Finally got the chance to visit this rare bookstore. They have plenty of prints, and anything you can think of could be found here. The bookstore is truly beautiful. Although I couldn’t find certain books I was looking for, you need to come here and see what they have; it’s a special place. Just a hint: they’ve got wise-looking old cats watching the store.

We arrived at the bookstore. The gates were open, the lights were on, but the door was locked and it was 11:10am. It supposedly opens at 11:00am. If anyone can work out how to get inside please let us know. It looks nice peering through the window, but would be even better if you could actually get inside. I think it was really just a wasted journey.

My absolute favourite bookstore in all of Toronto, the GTA, and quite possibly all of Canada as well. Phenomenal and diverse selection of books and art prints and an amazing vibe too. Also I adore the cute book cats (Frodo and Pippin I think?). All in all, I love coming here, it's one of my comfort safe havens in this chaotic city.

Store is such a good vibe. Great prices on everything and owner is willing to to lower prices. The Debit machine they had wasn't working but I was short on cash, so the owner happily settled for what little I had. Definitely will have to go back when I return to Toronto. P.s., the cats are awesome!!!!

Cool place, loved browsing the beautiful prints and unique selection of used books. The owner really takes a lot of pride in collecting and preserving beautiful things. I ended up walking out with 5 unique prints for a bargain. Whatever your art taste, you will find what you are looking for

This bookshop is a Toronto landmark. It has one of the best collection of art and photography books in north America in a small and unassuming shop! Blown away by their collection, I'm definitely visiting again. The owners are very welcoming, and the cat in the shop is just lovely.

A very lovely little shop! There’s many very interesting books, many by classic authors as well as art books and prints. And two very cute cats! Could’ve spent hours here. A fantastic place to stop in Toronto if you’re into things that are “artsy” and “quirky”.

I found so many rare book gems here and this is the best book store ever! The owner is so kind and I’ve had great conversations with her. Plus, there’s a cat who lives there. The selection is amazing and this store is always a treat for me.

In all of my travels I have never found such a fantastic, surprising casual book/art store. Their art book and print selections are fantastic and very accessible. The shop's ambiance is that of a really old book store with dashes of funk

Best book store I’ve ever been to. There are books on all types of art, poetry, and of course many other types of literature. A high ceiling adds a lightness to the space. Books line the walls. There’s art prints towards the front of the

CATS!!!!! this bookstore has two very sweet cats, the black one is named Frodo and the ginger was named Pippin (i think). Aside from the cats, they have such a cool collection of books and art it is definitely worth checking out

This place is such a treasure. The artworks are beautiful and the owner will tell you about them in detail. The books are also amazing and very reasonable. The cats are wonderful. I will definitely be back on a regular basis.

What a beautiful place. Filled with art, post cards, and books of all sorts. But the best part is the story and the owner. I could've spent 5 hours in there looking through gift ideas to the music.

  • Jerusha Shah

They have an amazing ambiance and a stellar collection of books. The staff is also kind and helpful. They even let me browse a little longer after closing time. Would love to shop here again

Didn’t see the cats that were in the pictures on google, but I bought a hilarious cat book. Might be difficult to find certain books, but if you look well you’ll find a great book.

  • Caroline Topperman

I randomly walked by and couldn't resist going in. Still kicking myself for not buying an Alice in Wonderland book that I found! Will definitely be going back to this hidden gem.

  • Daniela Trivino

Such a cool store! Really cosy and filled with all sorts of books. They also have two resident cats that make the experience even more enjoyable.

  • mister dumpling

Went in while randomly wandering the city ~ what an amazing store to get lost in! It's small but incredibly interesting for the curious minded.

  • Ajay Shrivastav

You need around 3-4 hours to actually see everything. It's a wonderland for book collectors. And CATS, they really like belly rubs.

  • Jong Lee

Small shop but great selection with lots of classics! Prints are very reasonably priced, and the cars are cute.

  • William Tang

They’ve got some great prints here! Definitely worth even framing. Plus the resident shopkeeper was so fluffy

  • Stanislav Nachev

Some books are very over priced. The owners seem to be willing to bargain

  • Raquel Robinson

Such a cute bookstore! Lots of art, old books, and a great selection.

  • Adrian Rampersadx

Lots of cool and unique antique books and prints!

  • Shyla Tibando
