Well what can I say but well done. I ordered my wife's 60th birthday cake on Monday last. Picked up Saturday afternoon late. The Black Forrest cake was moist and light in texture . Lots of fresh cream and chocolate flakes a plenty. The happy birthday writing was exactly what we requested. It was to cater for about 35 people. The cherries were delicious and juicy. The other good thing was I got to take home some dessert for the next few nights. Lol So well done. As a long term customer your bakery products and coffees are to die for. No other pie in Adelaide tops the green thai chicken pie that you can purchase here. It’s flavours are very well balanced, the pastry is perfect and contents are never dry. Service here is always very good, they’ve got loads of variety inc. sweet and savoury. They regularly have a different ‘pie of the week’ which is always fun to try. Overall it’s a place that makes you want to come back. One of my favourite things about the place is their loyalty cards. Probably sucks me in to buying too many pies but it’s a great incentive to keep coming back.

I couldn’t be happier with Aberfoyle Village Bakery. At short notice, I decided to arrange a birthday cake for a member of my family. Initially, I considered the Cheesecake Shop, but they could not make one with the required decorations in time - and they were very expensive. So, I looked around and - lo and behold - I discovered you guys nearby! The huge mud cake was moist and tasty - and a winner with the birthday girl. In fact, all of us. We are so lucky in Aberfoyle Park to have so many fantastic food establishments in our area! There are a few stound outs but AVB has consistently been a go to for me! Nothing better than grabbing a tasty pie and coffee every now and again! And it's always very good! And they do family sized quiche type meals too which is a great grab on way home if don't feel like cooking! Beats going to Clarendon or Meadows!

I purchased a vegetarian pasty and was very disappointed to find it filled with mushy potato, carrots and corn! Had I known there was corn in it, I would never have purchased it - it gave the pasty a very funky taste. There is such a variety of lovely vegetables out there - I expected better. The pastry was nice, hence the one star.

Ordered a vanilla sponge strawberry gateau, along with a mixture of pies, pasties, quiches and other desserts for my 40th Birthday party and heard nothing but compliments about how great they all were and was asked where did they come from? My daughter (7) and I enjoyed our visit to this friendly and welcoming small town bakery during our recent trip to the hills. I had a coffee which was well made and my daughter enjoyed a tasty sausage roll. Next time we are around we will come back again and try all the yummy treats they have.

We have had in the last couple of months, two different celebration cakes - a Black Forest and a Chocolate Malster Cheesecake. Both cakes were very well received by the consumers, so can highly recommend. Plus the bakery is a supporter of our local Lions Australia Club. Thank you.
