The service was terrible ,was told I could bring in cake ,then told no upon arrival .My mom was very disappointed as we were celebrating her birthday .The manager was very rude and unreasonable about our situation. We have brought many cakes in the past and never had a concern. The worst is when I called and was told yes it is all good and upon arrival it is not.The food was cold and the manager even colder. The server was good ,but it was too late by then to make it a good experience. The issue was transfer of nut allergies, but you have nuts on the pastry anyway . This was and will be the last time we come to this location. The Manager was very unreason .She walked around our table and had a very sour look ever time .We will want a response from a General manager or higher. The manager and head chef came out with the concent form, and explaned it in detail .I signed and we were allowed to bring in cake after all.The server was fantastic and very calming THROUGHOUT the brunch. My father and mother In law enjoyed it .That's all that matters in the end. There should be better communication between the managers. The floor manager was professional when I paid the bill. We have had many events including my wedding at this location and will confirm regulations before our next visit.

So disappointing. Went here as we were staying at the hotel, for the buffet breakfast. Hot buffet food was ok (except the bacon was practically cremated and inedible), but there was virtually no cold breakfast food available. My daughter wouldn't touch a thing saying everything was "gross". Croissants were several days old and like rocks. Fruit salad had obviously ran out and was not replaced. No cereal or yoghurts to be found. Worse, despite it being a buffet the drinks were not included and we found out afterwards that we were charged separately for the stalest coffee this side of a 7/11. Whole bill came to over $100 which is extortionate for the absymal quantity and quality. Not impressed.

My family and I went for Mother's Day brunch this past weekend. The food was great and they were able to get us a table immediately without a reservation. Staff was super friendly and even had the opportunity to speak to the GM. (General Manager) The only complaint I have (which I did tell the GM about) is that there are no change tables in the men's washroom. We were told the nearest was on the 3rd floor. The GM said it was an oversight and that he'd bring it up to his superiors. Other than that we had a lovely time! Just something to keep in mind if you bring your little one with you.

Loved the beef roast carving as part of the full Buffet on Saturday evening. Gravy was very good. They also had Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, perogies and all the fixings - including horseradish for the beef and cranberries for the turkey. Fresher buns would have been the only thing I would have changed in this buffet. Full dessert bar and salad bar as well, along with a couple soups. Really liked the pickled beets in the salad bar. Extremely reasonable price for this buffet with a complimentary drink. Lots of parking - the hotel is connected to the casino, but far enough away that you don't hear the background noise. We enjoyed our meal immensely here and will go again.

At the Regent location inside Club Regent Casino, the people who serve the buffet are talkative and professional and the servers are decent as well. But noticed one staff member from the kitchen who was taking down the buffet shoving cake directly from the dessert area down his throat sneakily making sure other staff or the manager didn't see with his bare hands. I know stuff like this happens but doesn't make it right. Especially in front of customers finishing their evening. I spoke directly to the manager on duty who was very professional and hopefully he followed up with the situation like he told me because I would like to return but seeing that makes it hard.

Our family held a memorial here December 5th and turkey was on the menu. Well it was absolutely the worst turkey ever! Like pieces of roof shingle that not 1 of the 40-50 people could even cut! Then the cake...most of the servings were like 2 weeks old. The stuffing had been scraped off the bottom of a pan. Canad inns should be ashamed of the poor food severed here. This was unbelievably bad food served and I am sure no body in our family will ever eat at Alto's again. A sad affair and then putrid food was served. I still can't believe staff can be that incompetent. Fire that kitchen staff as I surely would if they worked for me. You would be better serving Military rations from the 90s then this garbage!

  • Marianne Wishnowski

I contacted Alto's and spoke to Marissa who was wonderful, very patient and kind and informative. This was my 3rd call as the first two someone actually hung up on me before helping me. I asked about their new "turkey to go" promotion. As I understand it you must dine in $25.99, less for seniors, and then you can get a turkey dinner to go for $12.99. Seems like a very fair price for the turkey dinner. I just don't know anyone who want's to eat a buffet and then afterwards eat a turkey dinner. This promotion makes no sense to me. Maybe it will to others and maybe it will be a big seller. As for me I'll take my business elsewhere.

went on june 4th for the buffet. food was really good for a buffet (we hadn't been for quite some time) . suggestion, could increase selection of salad bar. hats off to the servers on hot foods and waitresses on tables, times are tough right now for staffing and they did a really good job with only 3 people taking the orders & waiting on tables. they were run off their feet especially when the crowd came in around 6. hosts also did a really good job too chipping in when needed!!! the hot food server especially the one carving was really nice and friendly. keep up the good work under these conditions. our waitress was exceptionally nice.

  • Christel Kemke

The food was not very good, it seemed old and/or not properly stored and tasted accordingly, or it just tasted funny, not well flavoured. The selection was not great either. There was nothing standing out positively, nothing were I would say that this was a good dish, salad, dessert or anything else. The service was almost non-existent - we had to search for the waitress to get drink re-fills. For the quality and selection of food it was over-priced and not worth it. I would not recommend it. You are better off to go to the casino side and eat in Jag's; their food is usually very tasty, and comparable in price.

  • Angela Silzer

I have a few dietary restrictions and usually go with safe choice, the chef came out, sat with us and together we came up with a wonderful option that was so much better than I was expecting. The waitresses were wonderful and very friendly, it was great experience and I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Great breakfast deals to be had here. Felt sorry for the two amazing staff members or servers that were working . The place is fairly huge and was busy enough for that in my opinion that a bus boy would of been difference maker of five stars. Because these two servers were doing it all hostessing, bussing tables, dealing with cheques, phones. If there was a manger there, he or she was either busy with some more pressing matters. or was just the worst manager there is. For the two servers that were working 10 stars. The food was 5. The non existent manager 0 stars.

  • Alicia Labossiere

Aaltos has always been a special restaurant to me, as my dad would often come here. We love the food, only reason I gave one less star is because you guys don't have the Seafood Buffet anymore on Friday nights. Always a great selection, and we always get a woman named Christine(?) as our server. She's fantastic, has short hair - always talks to us. She should get a raise. Seriously. She's that great. Always a good time at Aaltos

Stopped in for lunch today, staff were excellent. Ordered the special, egg salad sandwich and spicy beef soup. Kind of a long wait, as I was the only one there (noon) sandwich was so-so, nothing great, but the soup had no beef, leftover bacon, couple chunks of kielbasa, some pork roast... Not impressed at all. And for the low, low price of $22 and change. Guess I know why I was the only one there. Staff were great.

We had lunch with the 4 of us. Our initial waiter was fantastic. When we revived our meals our 2 orders of fish was cold. No coleslaw and no tartar sauce. Chicken strips nice and hot. No dill sausage and no coleslaw. Chicken Caesar wrap was great but again no coleslaw. At first they only wanted to give us a $10 card for our next visit that will never happen. They came out with 2 more plates of fish. Again no tartar and no coleslaw. We did not want it replaced with another incomplete plate. Not happy with the food.

  • Martha Cinch

We went for the brunch and I wish I would have just had soup and salad... Not worth $17.90 way over priced for the condition of the food. The bacon was too crisp and crumbled, the sausage tasted sour, the hash browns were cold but the scrambled eggs were nice and hot. The melon(cantaloupe, watermelon and honeydew) were going bad, sour tasting. I liked the cinnamon donut holes, very moist. Pineapple was great and our server and chef's were very nice and gave us good service. No photos not worth pictures.

  • Tammy Da Costa

Horrible service -Waited 15 minutes to be seated -waited another 10-15 minutes to be served -put in our order and it was only pancakes and bacon x2 and had to wait another 15 or more minutes to get our order . - the waitress watched us put on our coats and never gave us our bill. The cashier went to get it from her and she came over and complained how she was busy serving customers and didn't have time for this. I will NEVER go there again!!!

We went to Aaltos As we had tickets to The Price is Right Live. The only option was the buffet. The salad bar had very few choices. The hot buffet was terrible. The green beans were woody, the pork was very dry. My husband had Périgord and shrimp which he said was ok. The final bill with tip was $75! We would have been better to leave Club Regent and find a McDonalds

Missed the breakfast buffet, that closed by minutes, however, the menu had many delicious options. I had the perogies with bacon, onions and kielbasa and it was delicious. This was something out of my wheelhouse but I loved it. Service was great. My buddies loved the club sandwiches and burgers. Overall a pleasant experience

Arrived at the CanAd Hotel in Winnipeg on a 3 day bus tour and went down for breakfast this morning. It wasn't even busy and after waiting for 20 minutes inline behind 7 others to get seated we gave up. If you wait inline this long imagine how long it may take to get served. They knew this group was coming so you would think they might have prepared better. Lesson learned.

Not impressed, I suggest you remove off of Google maps your inaccurate information! There is NO curbside pickup or contactless delivery as stated and getting info from employees is like going on a wild goose chase. Nobody seems to know anything!!! Not impressed with this service to say the least. Thanks for wasting my time Altos Regent Ave

  • Trevor Donoghue

I would give a better review but my wife and me went for dinner to altos Windsor park and we got served once and that was to get set to our table and our server only came once and that was to give our bill but never came for refills for our drinks very inconvenient and for the price I am thinking of going somewhere else in the future.

I tried to make an order twice this morning. Someone must be asleep at the wheel over there because there was no response to my order being accepted on two occasions with a ten minute wait between trying again. I went with Smitty's after both failed attempts through skip the dishes. They accepted my order straight away.

Just back from Aaltos Club Regent,a truly awful experience, squeezed a peice of battered fish between my fingers and watched the oil drip off my fingers, fries ice cold ,fried chicken had to be three days old...manger agreed it was bad but only gave 20% off....never again!

  • Patrick Pichon

Staff was very kind and knowledgeable. Food was cooked well as well as served promptly. The pizza was good but could use improvements in the sauce flavor as well as the chunks of pineapple were quite large. It is nice that more places are starting to offer Vegan options.

  • Hari Khalsa

Dinner is awesome. The honey BBQ chicken and the double burger are amazing and the double wing Wednesdays are worth the stay (five alarm and raspberry chipotle are my recommendation). Great staff and when you get full, just stay at the hotel attached.

  • Kimberly Brown

two buffet meals. well cooked food. salad bar is filled with good assortment of toppings. dinner buffet had different meat and pasta choices for the two nights and dessert table included fruit, jello, cakes and an icream bar to make sundaes.

  • Linda Klassen

Seafood buffet yesterday was mediocre at best. Cold food , and one person had the blueplate special and she said she thought it ws frozen and reheated. Too tough to eat and cold. This the second time we have been there and never again..

Went for a family affair. The service was slow due to only having one server for the 30 of us. The buffet menu is unappetizing and looks like it's been sitting out for two days so I highly suggest you order off the menu.

  • William Wolfe

First and foremost, I didn't have the buffet breakfast! I had the breakfast special which was good, hot and cooked as orderd. To be honest! The portions are pretty small! So if your hungry, this might not fill you up!

Attended a function . Took over 2 hours to serve salad, dinner and dessert. Service was very slow, and chaotic. Either understaffed or just slow service. Was not an enjoyable evening.
