We got a taxi ride to our home from the airport because an airline gave us a voucher due to a canceled flight. That ride was fine. We called the next morning to get a ride back to the airport, and booked a trip through the phone. Someone called me to confirm pickup - I told them where we were going and they said they would be there at our pickup time. At the end of the call I told them about the voucher (which I suppose wasn't a good idea??) And they got very silent and awkward and all of the sudden said "okay" and hung up abruptly. I tried calling back to confirm they were coming, call was forwarded. I called again a few minutes later and the driver said I was "too far away" and he wasn't coming. Which honestly, all well and good I suppose, but I should not have had to call him to discover he wasn't coming. He should have just told me on the phone when he called the first time, and if it was because of the stupid voucher then he could have been upfront about this as well. This is unacceptable and people should be able to rely on the cab service of their city. I normally would never take a cab unless forced due to the airport only offered vouchers for cabs, and now I know to continue this practice. What a waste of time.

In this day and age, ATX Coop Taxi does not provide transparency on price. During a recent travel home from the airport, I had the choice of waiting 5 minutes for an Uber or Lyft or taking an on-premise taxi now. I haven't taken an old school taxi in a while and decided to take the ATX Coop Taxi. I regretted my decision after, because the taxi had no price tracking and it was a unilateral decision by the driver of what to charge me. I didn't even think to defend myself against this until after the ride ended and I saw the driver just pull a number out of thin air as he decided what to charge me via his Square app. He then hovered over my shoulder as the tip prompt came up, adding that additional bit of discomfort. I spent $50 on what Uber or Lyft would have done for $30 or less. If this was known up front and I had a chance for an informed decision, I would not be upset. My low rating is to say that the service is just strictly worse than what the big apps offer. Until this is rectified, I will not use this service again.

Got charged over $100 for a 40 min cab ride from the airport to Cedar Park. I asked at the beginning of the trip if it was flat rate or metered and he said metered and quickly flashed his tablet that has the meter on it and put it down. I didn’t see the meter again until the end of the trip. We got told that the rate doubles after midnight. I get charging more after midnight but double is outrageous and I feel like I got scammed. He also exited a few exits before so he could skip the toll which added time to our trip, we would have just paid the few extra dollars for the toll fee had he asked. I will be calling our credit card company to file a scam report. We had a friend take an Lyft the same night after midnight and pay only $45 plus tax to also go to Cedar Park. To not display the meter in the cab is sketchy, I would avoid this green cab company at all costs!

First and last time using ATX taxi. price gouging!!!!! Went 4 miles and charged 42.00! Said he told me there was minimum- did not. Plus why would I be charged over minimum for 4 miles? Absolutely never again.*** update, just realized when I went to store he only gave me $37 change on a $100. Went back to airport & despite “the look” of regulation ( a city of austin employee assigned me to vehicle) they have no records of their trips.**** gets better, the phone number isn’t a working number.

Ride was more than double what uber or lyft charges! ($44 from uber and they charged me $107). This is a rip off of a taxi company. The car was an old crown vic and didn't feel worth the price, uber and lyft at least monitors the age of vehicles driving around. The driver was safe(ish) he wasn't cutting off people but he had no idea how to follow Google maps on his own phone and was going 40 to 60 in a 80 zone. Never using this company ever again! Over priced and cars are dated

I live close to the airport and see cars from this company all the time. To anyone thinking about using this taxi service, be aware that the drivers almost always tailgate, drive over the speed limit, and move in and out of lanes quickly and without turn signals. There have been several times where I’ve almost been sideswiped by one of these drivers who is very obviously not paying attention/doesn’t care. Be safe and pick another company or use a rideshare app!

Cab #63 was our driver. I had to enter our destination into his phone, he was constantly on and off the gas pedal, evey time he looked at his phone for directions he would swerve across the lane line. My friend and I were scared for our lives! After arriving at our hotel, I had to walk him through the credit card payment process. He had no clue how to use a charge square on his phone. Do not use this taxi service!!!

Never take this service, this is totaled rip off. I used a service from Airport to Round Rock, meter said it was a $105 then he adds extra taxes which comes to $140. Even, if i get a luxurious vehicle in uber app that will usually cost around $100. This guy had a old honda odyssey, with a engine light on, no A/C, car smells like gasoline, and very old vehicle. Just take uber at least you get peace of mind.

Biggest rip off ever! We are visiting Austin for the first time, and we’re going home from a concert at the Moody Center. We were told $60 because it was so congested. It wasn’t congested and the ride took less than 5 minutes. When I complained, he dropped the price to $50, but I still feel very ripped off. This is extremely disappointing. DON’T USE THIS COMPANY

  • Jeff Marcello

0 Stars 0 Transparency 0 Honesty - There is a reason there’s no line at the airport. DO NOT USE. Called service line and no return call. Charge 3x more than ride share and do not disclose all fees until it’s too late. Highway robbery literally. Lied about estimate charge and meter app is not displayed, aside from using a 20 year old SUV. Never again!

I left my phone in one of their cars and panicked !!! I called them and Shiela went above and beyond to track down our driver James. James was amazing he drive 45 minutes to us to return our phone. World class service, 5 stars if I could give more I would. Thank you Shiela thank you James!!!!!! …

I had a perfectly fine ride the first time... but the second time the driver never even showed up. No call or anything. And for some reason I booked another taxi about 10 months later. He called me 10 minutes before he was supposed to arrive and told me he was 17 miles away and said he would charge me $50. Rude.

I'm frustrated with the service I received. The driver from Austin airport to Cedar Park charged me $129, and there's no clear explanation for this high fare on the receipt. When I requested the manager's contact information, he only refunded $50. Such unfair practices must be addressed.

  • Hikamaruu Tazumi

Worst company ever. Charged me $53 for going 3 miles. I asked driver to pull over and he faked that he didn't understand me but finally pulled over. Took an Uber for under $30 the remainder of the way. I would never do business with this scamming company.

Apparently these guys don't have Internet or any idea how capitalism works. If you want to pay 50% more than an Uber Black to be driven home from the airport in a fleabag minivan, these chumps are for you!

  • Anthony

Took me from the airport to north university for $60. He just invented a number. My mistake for not getting a price before entering. Learned my lesson and will never use this service again.

  • Panda Stass

Driving dangerously, this car cut off at an intersection making me drive onto the curb, it kept driving away recklessly into a neighborhood.

  • Jordan Colquitt

Extremely high rates for no reason and we didn’t even go 7 miles. The driver gave himself a tip without asking. Worst taxi service ever.

  • A&M’s
