ALDI has changed a great deal since its first appearance on Australian soil some years ago. The fresh produce is both FRESH and INEXPENSIVE and the available ready meals are inventive and taste gorgeous. In summary, ALDI is less expensive than other supermarkets in most if not all departments. Of particular note are the laundry products (very high quality and absurdly affordable) and the household cleaning products. Moving on to the less practical but WAY more enticing part, I absolutely love what I call "the mystery middle isles". Usually two double sided isles are filled with all sorts of things and it changes from week to week. In the past, I’ve bought shoes, workout clothing, paint sets, bedding, gum boots and even a camping shower!

Excellent prices & produce with a wide variety of interesting products. However, the staff often seem rushed & frustrated. They rush customers through the checkout in a manner that borders on rude; I'm not sure how anyone is expected to get their produce in the trolley so quickly while it is practically being thrown by the cashier. In addition the credit card is ridiculous in this day & age. Not only do I have to pay for a trolley, I also have to bring my own bags & then pack them myself - for that privilege I have to pay extra just to use a card? I'd really like to see some baskets made available for customers.

2.12.22 at Evanston store they incorrectly debited my visa twice with $75.92. When this error was pointed out they fobbed us off with a lamb excuse 'the bank will correct the error'. Hasn't happened - I would have expected some alacrity. Their response was to be totally unhelpful. They caused the error and they should fix it.

Tried to do our main shop here some time ago. Bought a punnet of strawberries.. found worms in 2 the next day.. not the stores fault but still. We opened chicken breast 2 days after buying the odour was not nice and the chicken slightly green. Still had a good 4 or more days on the date too. Wont try a main shop here again.

Will not be returning to this store. Multiple times have I witnessed or have myself received rude customer service from the middle aged staff. (It should be noted the young staff members have always been lovely) Apart from never having everything you need, the customer service is unsatisfactory.

I get the whole pack your bags at the counter thing especially when busy but sometimes your cashiers take it too far. I just visited your store and did a big shop . The cashier was just about throwing my items at me. It’s not a race. I was dawdling or anything. And makes me resent shopping here.

My dog biscuits were mouldy I can't get to talk to a customer service person.. im a fair distance from the store can't seam to find numbers to let them know.. I feed my dogs then looked it was mouldy not just a bit alot.. not happy at all.. I hope they don't get sick and die!!!

Cheap, easy, flat no steps. Be prepared to do your own packing at end of checkout. It's cheaper because of all this more do it yourself. I usually if I have a lot just load it all back into my trolley then take it to the counter to pack into bags. Quicker. Nice staff.

Great range of quality chocolates, biscuits, nougat bars, nuts, cakes, puddings and many other gifts especially for Christmas. All at very reasonable prices. Some come in early and are snapped up pretty quickly so best to get in soon after their flyers are delivered.

Like most other Aldis. It was very busy and the internal layout slightly different from some of the other store making it confusing to find what you are looking for. Also most other supermarkets have signs showing what products are where but not at Aldi stores.

  • Fenton Montgomery

Has some well priced items that are worth buying here but, not a full and thorough range like the major supermarkets. Staff friendliness needs a considerable boost, if you can find one to talk with. Checkouts do not please me, the wait is

Typical Aldi selection, can often find a special buy here when others run out. Across the road from other shops is divided by island, which means you can't get to aldi easily if you visit bunnings/HJ/chicken shop/news agent (Gawler Green)

I usually don't have a problem with this store, this is only the 3rd time I have shopped at the Gawler/Evanston one. I do have trouble trying to keep up with the check out people and getting my groceries in the trolley without throwing

I am not a happy Aldi shopper as I frequently find they do not have the product I am looking for. Sometimes I have to go to three or more stores to find cat litter or cat food. Now I get a friend in a country town to buy what I need.

Purchased "baby carrots" in a bright, non see through bag. Opened to prepare to cook tonight revealing all carrots have dark marks on their skins. I've had to scrape all skins. I'm not impressed!! They look old, not fresh. …

Great shopping experience. Arrived mid afternoon, plenty of available parking, only a few people inside store shopping. Ideal environment. Will choose to shop again, at that time. Schools back, easy and relaxed!!!

  • David Smith

I love Aldi. The fruit is always top notch. And, we have proven over and over that shopping at Aldi does save money and Aldi products are just as good if not better than the big brands. If only I had one close by.

  • Katrina Osment

Brousing in Aldi is a treat, lots of hidden treasures we've bought & have been very useful, the clothes have been reasonably priced & of good quality, my grandkids luv the chicken chips & chicken nuggets..

  • David Woolford

Good Different, NO, Inferior Uncivilised. What is in stock is too difficult to find, layout confusing, signs do not match product on shelf, no staff to help. Sorry not my kind of shopping.

  • Wayne Jaeschke

In Gawler's ALDI, five stars glow, Ease and convenience steal the show. No fuss, no muss, just in and out, With friendly staff there's never a doubt. A stellar shop from head to toe!

  • Dianne Cawood

Great savings if you don't brand shop. Meat is really worth buying. Prices are much more reasonable than other supermarkets. Fresh produce is all Australian, same with meat.

  • Rona Suell

I was very disappointed that there weren't any trolley wipes. Barely any stock on the shelves. Female staff are very rude, checkout lady started putting my trolley full of

  • Brian Jonas

  • Tay

Always lots of things to distract you from buying essential items. Seems like although you get some kind of value for money I feel it's an illusion somewhat.

  • Tim Trudgen

Find myself shopping quite a bit more at ALDI these days. Some of our staples are from Aldi. We love, love, love Aldi's brioche rolls and chicken burgers.

  • John Cyc

Great store, good selection of fresh fruit ,vegetables and all products. Centre isles well stocked with current products. Prices and service excellent

Providing local jobs, but ultimately the profits leave Australia . The Wheelchair access ♿ and parking is very close to the front entrance. …

  • Gordon Randall

Happy to say I didn't need an umbrella or salmon paste. Shopping there is OK but getting through checkout always seems to be a bit of an issue.

  • J Devitt

Prices are good but what drives me mad is that they don't pack the groceries for you. You got to be quick! I'll get used to it I reckon...

  • vince romano

Mildly cheaper shopping great savings on most items.. they also do niknak things like a Big W section almost but great supermarket …

  • Nigel Harrison

Prices going up on most products. Used to be excellent value, now thinking twice. Woolies better value on lots of the Same products.

  • Linda Poole

Really clean and great prices, only downside is the rush at the checkout trying to pack and keep up with the operator.

  • Denise Jones

Love their specials. Fresh fruit and veges look great . Friendly staff. Very clean and well stocked.

I shop fortnightly, since changing from Woolworths to Aldi I honestly save at least $150 each time.
