Went in on the 9th of May 2023. Service was great on the day. I ordered and paid for a quad lock case for my phone. It wasn't in stock and was told at the time it should be here on the Friday. (12/5/23) I would receive a call. I didn't receive a call so I thought that's ok things can take a bit longer. So I popped in on the following Monday and again the service was good on the day. However the gentlemen said that it is usually 3-4 business days for deliveries to arrive when its a store transfer and that "trucks move slow". My father in law was an interstate truck driver and i can say they arent that slow from the sunny coast to brisbane. The case was coming from Kawana Waters. So going by the days it should have been here by Monday 15th at the latest. I still haven't received a call so I popped in today (17th) for them to say that someone from the store is actually bringing it down and isn't going to be there till the 18th or 19th. 3 - 4 business days by truck is very different to someone bringing it down and might be coming in to that store in 10 days. The service was ok but the miscommunication and long delivery times is a thing to be concerned about. Other 99 bikes stores I have been too have always been so helpful and easy to deal with but this time was a let down.

Went into your Bowen Hills store as I read on the website I can trade my current bike in for credit towards a new one. When I got to the store I explained to the sales consultant what my intention is and I was told trade in value for trade in bicycles are $50. I purchased my current bike from this very store less than 3 months ago. there was no assessment done on my bicycle. I understand my current bicycle was $479.00 brand new but $50 dollars after LESS than 3 months? If all you’re offering is $50 for trade ins, why not say $50 off on the new purchase, on your website? Could’ve saved me the walk and time spent in the store. This is not a stab at the store. I totally understand it is what it is. Just a bit shocked and disappointed. Store staff has been great. Would’ve gotten myself a new bike today hadn’t the offer been just $50.

Incredible knowledge and service by the team. My partner and I went in to purchase an ebike each and received amazing service from Tony, we both hadn't ridden bikes since we were young so it was very daunting getting back into it. Tony was patient with me while I tried to talk myself out of buying a cargo bike and genuinely seemed happy to help us out with the questions we had. Had to return a few days later to get my partner's gears fixed as a stick knocked them out but they looked after me right away and repaired it where I was able watch and learn. It's comforting knowing that there is such a reliable team so close when making a purchase of what seems like a fortune. Loving the pedal bikes so far

Me and my partner genuinely just had the WORST, most painful experience buying a bike. The young sales guy, who I believe is called Brendan was not knowledgeable, not helpful, told us constant incorrect information… and then when we got home.. he had forgot to provide the charger for the e-bike. I just called to speak to the manager because 99 bikes is usually such a good, reputable brand so this experience shouldn’t be. Brendan answered and said there’s no manager. Will try again tomorrow but gossssh this whole thing was painfullllll for no reason. Go to any other location but Bowen hills!

Last night my family went into your Bowen Hills store to pick up two bikes that were serviced while also purchasing a new one for my daughter. We were serviced by Sam who was exceptional! His service, communication and assistance was second to none. He was very knowledgeable on which bike would be best for my daughter. In addition, he assisted us loading the bikes onto a rack at the back of our car when he saw we were loading them incorrectly. This was of huge assistance as without his intervention, the bikes may have fallen off the back. Big thank you to Sam!!

Update 25/10/23: I’ve stuck with Josiah for the last year (two services and a few other queries here and there). I have been extremely pleased with the service. Josiah’s knowledge and understanding of my bike has saved me time and money. I won’t take my bike anywhere else. Appreciate you brother ❤️ I just got some suberb service from Josiah and Rowan. Group set, bar tape, and tyre change on my old collie. I feel like I'm riding a new bike, it's unreal! Thanks so much for your attention to detail and fantastic workmanship Josiah ‍

I've been to this place twice and the same guy served me both times. He was super keen and enthusiastic. The first time I went in I got a helmet and he was more than happy to price match it for me as I'd seen it cheaper. The second time I turned up on a Sunday at 4.02. I tried the door but it was locked and I was about to go and he opened the door and said how can I help! What a top man! I'm not a big fan of big chains but with good service and good prices it's hard to beat.

I purchased my e-bike (with a throttle) about four years ago and since then have had many services, parts replaced and tyres mended by 99 Bikes at both Bowen Hills and Indooroopilly. Now they advise me that they can't work on my bike because it has a throttle due to a law introduced about five years ago. Why was this never mentioned previously when servicing my bike... happy to overlook this law and take my money until now... what's changed?

Had a great shopping experience recently. The staff were helpful, but not hovering which I hate! I was asked if I needed help by a few different staff, but I wasn't hassled or stalked like a lot of bike shops. It was a lot like a good restaurant where they show up at just the right time to top up your wine glass. Was mostly left to my own devices which was great as I was trying on helmets.

Huge shout out to Mitch and the mechanics at 99 Bikes Bowen Hills for transforming my Colnago into feeling like a new bike once again.....I'm smiling from ear to ear. Also to the rest of the team for being so enthusiastic and engaging at 6:20pm on a Thursday night when I was able to collect my bike. You've lived up to the "Most Approachable" tag line and it deserves to be recognised.

Great range and some good deals, but unfortunately the after sales service is absolutely rubbish. I spent a fair bit of $$$ for my son’s birthday, but there was no “hand over” at all. No one bothered to take my son through the bike (his first with gears), and even after asking, no one was willing to install my car bike rack or show me how.

Love my new compact eBike and loved the great sales support from two super women in the sales team. In the past my MTB and commuter bikes have been serviced here and the quality of the work has been great including sorting out a caliper brake that had been left really munted by another inner north Brisbane bike store with a big reputation.

If you're looking for a place that has expert knowledge about everything bikes & personalising to your needs then this is perfect for you I picked up my first bike from Jarryd was absolutely wonderful & asked me heaps of questions as to what I was looking for and what I was wanting to do ❤ Highly recommended and quick to respond.

Talita was exceptional! I came in and really needed a hand with fixing my bike up. She was the only one on the floor but still managed to not only provide great service to myself and the other customers but also fixed my bike for me in a matter of minutes. Super friendly and knowledgeable team at Bowen Hills. And as they are a 99 Bikes warehouse location they often have interesting ‘online only’ stock there that they don’t have room to display on the floor. I’ve never had a bad experience with this store. Parking is sometimes a smidge awkward but usually there is a spot.

Amazing service by the 99 bikes staff. Max is super friendly and helped me choose a bike that would fit my budget and my height. They let me test ride the bikes, gave me tips on how to take care of a new bike and helped me choose some well-needed accessories. I’m very happy with this bike shop. Highly recommended.

Had a good customer experience today with 99Bikes Bowen Hills. We upgraded a bike under the 30 day total satisfaction deal after 10 days use. The staff were helpful and even though we ended up spending more money, it was great to have the opportunity to get a bike more suited to my sons requirements.

Awesome service in the workshop by Angus!! Took my bike in at the last minute after a DIY mess and he sorted it in no time and very reasonably priced. Only downside of this branch is getting out of parking can be a bit dodgey. Decent prices and approachable sales staff.

It's really hard to buy something when there's no price tag on the items ( Helmets ) had to get the price off the website in the store on my phone. And the price wasn't even the same as website. Completely redeem by the quality service though.

Recommended almost everything get replaced on my 3 year old bike, bought from 99 bikes, when I took it in for service. After spending almost as much as the bike cost, it runs worse now than it did before the service. Don't waste your money!?
