I do not usually write reviews for any purchase I make however with 99Bikes, I will make an exception. I purchased a Cube 21 Touring Hybrid One 500 LG bike in March 2021, actually a mate and I bought one each. 99Bikes because we bought 2 and had to wait a number of months for delivery gave us both a great price on our purchases. Since then my dealings with 99Bikes have always been more than satisfactory. As I have no previous technical experience with bikes, I signed up for their yearly service program, which entitles me to take my bike back daily "if necessary", this service has proven most beneficial to me. Why I am writing this testimonial is that the last time I took it in for a service two things occurred. Firstly "Alex" serviced my bike and went over it with a fine tooth comb, this 2nd service under the program cost me nothing except for a new chain which I was happy to pay for. I dropped my bike off at 10.00am and went back around noon, whilst waiting for Alex to finish the service I struck up a conversation with sales representative "Rick". Rick noticed I was wearing a kind of tennis type shoe "for my own comfort" and asked me if my feet ever slipped off the pedal. When I admitted that on occasion this had occurred, and that I was not interested in the lock in type shoe and pedal. He showed me a set of pedals which had "lets call them medal studs" sticking out of the pedals. These pedals were slightly larger than my existing ones. He assured me that my cycling experience would dramatically change, and that I could with confidence stand up on my bike whilst engaging upward slopes. He was 100 % correct, and not only are these pedals not only more comfortable but they have also added to my confidence whilst riding the bike. So why did I write this testimonial. 1 - 99Bike people offer great service 2 - 99Bike people love bikes and love talking about them 3 - 99Bike people DO NOT hard sell you on anything but only offer suggestions to make your riding experience more safe and enjoyable. I will stick with this mob for a very long time. regards Eddie Hope This is my second review in the last couple of months. The service from 99Bikes is exceptional, especially from their mechanic Alex. I had my second flat tyre "Back tyre of course" and also had a problem with the Bosch Purton display on my Cube Ebike. I brought the bike in to get fixed and Alex suggested that I purchase Tannus Armour tyre inserts which although will not guarantee that I do not get another flat, will at least make it more difficult for the offending nail or pin to penetrate the tyre. Great idea and hopefully lots of future peddling without problems. My Bosch Ebike Purton display had a fault and Alex took it up with Bosch and they replaced it free of charge. My mate who has the same bike is now going to get these Armour tyre inserts fitted to his bike. Once again a big thank you to Alex and his team and I am now a locked on 99Bike customer. regards Eddie Hope For someone who claims he doesn't write reviews, here goes with my third review this year. I visited 99Bike to ask Rick a question regarding a tyre pump he had sold me. I walked out with a brand new helmet and a few other things. Rick asked me why I was wearing a cap under my helmet. "to help keep the sun out of my eyes" was my reply. He then showed me a Fox22 Mainframe Helmet which has a long brim at the front, weighs practically nothing, is black in colour and looks bloody good. It was in my opinion competitively priced as well. I was browsing on line at bike shops on a Sunday morning in my local area to buy a chain & grips for my sons bmx. I came across 99!bike store which was open to my surprise as there weren’t any other bike shops open on a Sunday. I ended up walking out of the store with a DRS bike helmet a pair of junior fox gloves 2 sets of pedals a pair of grips & chain all at high quality for a very affordable price. The staff were very helpful & very friendly. I ended up becoming a lifetime member for a low $5 which saved me over $60 on my purchase. There are also a lot of perks by becoming a member eg: free workshop nights with the repair service team to teach you how to repair & keep your bike running in good condition. I would recommend this store to anyone who is looking for a bike or quality bike parts at a very affordable price.

Initially dropped in to buy a chain for my old trek mountain bike. Purchased the one we thought was correct and turned out to be too long. Rang the store at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon to replace it and requested it to be installed. Tech was awesome and did it for me on the spot. Got the bike home only to find it was jumping. Rang the store Monday and explained what happened and they were happy to check out the bike straight away. Brought bike in Tuesday and dealt with Zac the workshop guru. He was totally awesome with his diagnosis and repairs. He also kept costs down where possible because its an old bike. Did the job on the spot while i watched. Basically my experience with this store is amazing. Always really helpful every time. Totally recommend these guys with any bike needs. Wont be going anywhere else.

Just wanted to write a quick review for the service team at Bayswater. In Nov 2022, I purchased an eScultura from 99 bikes and have thoroughly enjoyed riding this bike. It has been a real game changer for me to get me back into riding again. In Apr 2023 however there was a hairline crack that presented itself in the fork and a warranty claim was raised with 99 Bikes Bayswater. The team at 99 Bikes Bayswater did a fantastic job to follow up on a new replacement fork and to get it swapped over as part of the warranty process. They were also always available to provide feedback and input to any queries that I had and also helped me both with the servicing of my bicycle and swapping out the tyres to tubeless ready Maxxis Ramblers. Thanks again to the fantastic team at 99 Bikes Bayswater.

Wow! I’ve bounced around from bike store to bike store over the years, but 99bikes in Bayswater will be the only one I use from now on. Max was the friendliest, most helpful bike expert I could’ve asked for. Clearly knows his stuff but didn’t make me feel dumb with my 100 or so questions. Discussed options in each price range, explained pros and cons and helped me find the best bikes for my needs. Huge range of bikes and accessories, great prices and sales and an all round perfect shopping experience. Each time I visited the store, I was greeted and offered assistance by 2 or 3 different staff members but always in a friendly, no-pressure kind of way. I couldn’t be happier with this experience. We visited 99 Bikes today to gather some more information about E Bikes as we have been doing quite a bit of research online and wanted to have a look-see what they were like. We were greeted by Bob who spent the next 20 minutes talking us through and showing us all the differences and variations of E Bikes that were available to us. He was extremely knowledgeable, courteous and friendly - he knew his stuff and was more than happy to share it with us. We left with a bundle of information on E Bikes that he thought would be suitable for us, based on what we had told him about our wants and needs. Visited 99Bikes Bayswater to grab some MTB pedals, Damien was knowledgeable and super-helpful with my queries, and price-matched from a competitor, what should have been a 2min visit turned-into much longer, Damien & Andrew provided perhaps the best customer service I’ve ever experienced, very friendly, invited me to their Group Ride WhatsApp group, talked bikes & frames and a myriad of other things. I have shopped here before but am now considering making this store my #1 go-to for all cycling needs. Damien & his team are clearly passionate about what they do, so much so that I got the impression that this is clearly a happy workplace, with staff willing to go above and beyond

.This has to be the worst store I have ever had to deal with as this salesperson who served me on that day stole $ 500- from me and tricked me into thinking that he had taken off the cash that I handed over the counter off the bike and it wasn't until I have checked my account 3 weeks later. And he rang me yesterday and said that I never handed him any cash. I'm on a Disability pension and struggling to save any money and this amount took me well over 6 months to save. This man is a thief and has no conscious .So he has left me no choice but to inform the Police, Solicitor the press ,facebook,etc,etc.Thanks Guy Newton. I had a great experience today at 99 Bikes Bayswater. I was doing my usual ride and had a chain slip issue. I was close to the store so I thought I'd just take it in and leave it with them for service. It was a busy afternoon there , so I was so surprised that Max in the service dept took some time out to look at it straight away. Within a few minutes he had diagnosed the problem (bent chain link), and then proceeded to replace it for me. It was a minor issue and minor part required so he didn't charge me (also me being a prior customer I guess). Nevertheless , I was pleased to receive this level of customer service which really helped me out. Thanks Max !

Disrespectful Will never go to this store and I will never ever suggest anyone. Sale assistant leave me for 3 times and he gone to do something else. Does costumers mean anything at all to you, as sale assistant? Do you understand anything at all about how to deal with costumers? How even someone like him get a job? Do this store do interview before they give job to someone who don't know how to help costumers? I really like to know who is the manager of this store and talk face to face with manager and just for my own knowledge to understand what the heck is going on. No to disrespectful business

I bought a bike last Saturday from James at Bayswater store. I originally went into the shop with a firm idea of what I wanted and James gave me an option I had not really thought about and in the end I purchased a bike that was more expensive than I had anticipated spending but was well worth the extra. His knowledge was extensive and he answered every question in detail that I asked. It really was the best customer experience that I have had in recent times. I've always had pretty good service here with the team at Bayswater and they've always been super helpful with everything i have needed. Today, i called to see if they had a bottom bracket tool and the guy who answered the phone couldn't have been less interested if he'd tried. Said they probably don't have one (didn't bother to check), answered the phone sounding like he was stoned, and was just plain rude when i asked him the question about the tool. Pathetic that he was hired, let alone allowed to interact with potential customers.

Fantastic service and advice! I went to 99 Bikes Bayswater to look at purchasing my first road bike as I was riding a hybrid which wasn’t suitable for my future cycling needs. Reyce took the time to explain things to me and helped me with the selection of my new road bike. He was patient, friendly and super helpful. Transitioning from a hybrid to a road bike is a scary thing but he explained how it all works so it doesn’t seem quite so daunting. I never felt rushed which was important when I had so many questions! Great experience

I had some work done by Alex (Bayswater 99 Bikes) on a smashed rear derailleur on my road bike. It was tricky because I bought this bike in the States, and the hanger that was broken which the derailleur attaches to was not readily available here in Oz. Alex was fantastic, and went the extra mile and tracked down the hanger and installed the new derailleur and a new cassette. Excellent job done by Alex and very reasonable price for the repair. Extremely helpful in helping to select the right e-Bike. Wen't out of their way to try and locate a bike as no stock was available in store. Located a model with a few minor spec changes that had not been assembled. This was late Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning we received a call to say the bike had been assembled and was ready to pick up. The attention to detail in fitting the bike to the intended rider was great. Best customer service in a long time!

Excellent technical knowledge, a good range of products at sensible pricing. I felt comfortable asking “stupid “ questions and the enthusiasm was clear with all the staff that they enjoyed what they did. Great store and service. The bike itself, a Merida Silex 200 gravel bike was just what I was looking for. It meets my needs in equipment and my budget. Not too complex with too many parts to go wrong and a lightweight frame.

Took it back and they were super helpful and non-patronising about the whole thing. Fixed it all up for me without charging when they were well within their right to. I bought a Velectrix Urban Pulse step through at 99bikes Bayswater on 24 June, several weeks ago. Since then I've clocked up about 100 km - I'm 75 and hadn't ridden a bike for 40 years. Usually nice if you need a service at least, but the counter service is questionable. Tried to find someone so I could purchase sunglasses before my voucher expired but everyone was so busy running past or running right off from the counter to someone else and now goodbye $100 voucher and no sunnies or handy things.

Amazing service every time so far. My son was recently knocked off his bike by a car and ended up with a flat tyre. I took the bike in to book it in for a safety check and tyre repair happily expecting this would be later in the week, but they did it all on the spot and he was able to ride to school the next day.

Lovely welcome from staff. Purchased : Giro Agilis MIPS Road Helmet Matt Black -Super comfortable and lightweight. I enjoy the matt black colour with a little gloss. Adjusting wheel at the back is lighter and smoother to use than my previous helmet.
