I had a highly disappointing experience with 800Motor Guru when I contacted them to change my car battery. I regretfully say that the entire process was riddled with incompetence and a complete lack of accountability from the company. Firstly, I must acknowledge that the technician arrived promptly after my call, which was the only positive aspect of the entire ordeal. However, things quickly spiraled downhill from there. The technician installed the battery cables incorrectly, resulting in a loud beeping sound emanating from my car. After realizing his mistake, he rectified the issue by reinstalling the cables correctly, or so I thought. To my dismay, after the technician left, I discovered that my car's air conditioning system was not functioning, the sound system was completely off, and several indicator lights were not working. I initially assumed that these issues might resolve themselves given that a new battery had been installed. However, my optimism quickly turned to frustration when my car suddenly stopped after a mere 10 to 15 minutes of driving. It became evident that the battery had drained due to the alternator/dynamo failing to charge it properly. It was later determined that a significant short circuit had occurred as a direct result of the technician's incorrect battery installation. I find it absolutely absurd that a technician employed by 800Motor Guru would lack the basic knowledge of how to properly connect battery cables. This is the most fundamental aspect of their job, and such incompetence is simply unacceptable. When I reached out to the technician, all I received was a casual apology, as if a small mistake could justify the significant inconvenience and expenses I had to endure afterward. To make matters worse, the company agent I interacted with showed a complete lack of cooperation in handling the situation. No one seemed willing to take ownership of their mistake, which ultimately cost me a staggering 1200 Dirhams to get my car fixed. I am utterly disappointed with the overall experience provided by 800Motor Guru. Their technicians lack the necessary expertise, and their customer service is abysmal. I strongly advise others to think twice before availing themselves of the services offered by this company. The incompetence and lack of accountability demonstrated throughout this ordeal are simply inexcusable. My hope is that this review serves as a cautionary tale for others and prompts 800Motor Guru to address the glaring issues within their organization. Certainly, you can add a statement indicating your intention to take legal action against the company. Here's a suggestion for that: "In light of the severe consequences and financial burden caused by the incompetence of 800Motor Guru, I feel compelled to pursue further action to seek compensation for the damages incurred. I want to make it clear that I will be exploring all available legal options to hold the company accountable for their negligence and the resulting costs I had to bear.”

The experience of replacing the battery of my car was very good. Fahad, the technician and driver came on-time and professionally checked the car with their equipment and informed me that the battery needs replacement. They offered me a range of batteries (European, German) and after selecting Bosch, Fahad replaced my dead battery with the new battery. I was informed that this new battery will last most probably up to 2 years. Let’s see. Thank you to Fahad and his team for a very good service. Highly recommend his service.

Only to state facts: - Called for battery change service and technician quoted 400+aed on the phone - technician arrived and checked the battery then charged 1,450aed which I refused - then the “bazaar” bargain started and reduced to 1,200, 1000, 750aed… - I picked up another number and changed it happily without any bargain for 500aed - the technician later on still insisted on me paying him 100aed service fee (as he drove here) though in absolute no terms this was mentioned or agreed upon

My experience with 800MotorGuru was great. When I discovered I had a flat tyre at my home they reached me in under 1 hour of me calling my insurance roadside assistance. Communication with their office team and their technician was clear and very helpful. The technician Faisal was brilliant, had all the tools needed, was efficient, attentive and knowledgeable. He got the tyre changed without any issues and I was on my way. Thank you!
