I have no idea how this hotel got so many good reviews. It was literally falling apart. This hotel was our least favorite of the entire trip. The lobby and buffet area are beautiful and well kept, but everything else about the hotel was dated and broken. We disliked this hotel so much that we left after the second night into the trip and forfeited the Nonrefundable room we paid for. Worth it. We moved to a different hotel that was half the price and WAY nicer. I can’t believe they charge $60 USD per night for this. The rooms were so old. The sheets had holes in them. The mattress was sunken. The bed would collapse onto your toes if you tried to get in and your foot was too close to the edge. I will probably lose a toenail from this happening twice. The shower was patched together with tubing to (unsuccessfully) keep the water from leaking all over the floor. If me and my fiancé both showered in succession, there was a gallon of water on the slick tile floor. The shower was raised about 4” so you had to step out and down onto a very wet floor. It’s a wonder that neither of us slipped and cracked a tooth. The tile separating the bathroom from the room was a 1” tall barrier that we definitely stubbed our toes on multiple times. The sink was cracked. The paneling on the ceiling was moldy and falling apart, as was paneling throughout the hotel. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 star is that the breakfast buffet included in our stay was reasonably good, the water pressure was nice, and the staff was nice. I will not stay there again. This hotel was absolutely the low point of our trip. It’s walkable to Asiatique and has some nice views of the city, but is far from pretty much everything else and we had to use Grab to get anywhere.

สถานที่สวยงามค่ะ ตั้งแต่ล๊อบบี้คือจัดได้สวยงามหน้าถ่ายภาพค่ะ ดิฉันจองผ่านอโกด้าหลายครั้ง..ราคาดีค่ะ >> ราคาค่อนข้างสูงหากว๊อคอิน ตัวทางเดินระหว่างออกจากลิ๊ฟเดินไปห้องพักไม่ค่อยชอบเท่าไหร่ สีพรม หรือไฟทางเดิน รู้สึกเก่า(ไม่ค่อยชอบเป็นการส่วนตัวค่ะ) *ทุกอย่างดีหมด ห้องน้ำสะอาด ห้องสะอาด ของใช้ครบ แต่ทุกครั้งที่มาสิ่งที่มีปัญหาคือ เตียงนอน.. ใช่แล้วค่ะ เตียงนอน เตียงนุ่มนะคะ ** เสียตรงที่เตียงเป็นเตียงคู่ ประกบกันแล้วนำท๊อปเปอร์วางทับไว้อีกที ทุกครั้งที่นอนคือเตียงเลื่อนค่อยๆขยับแยกจากกัน จนต้องตื่นลุกขึ้นมาขยับเตียงให้ชิดกันตลอด เพราะตกแอ่งค่ะ คือก็ไม่เข้าใจกับโรงแรมว่าทำไมถึงไม่เป็นเตียงเดี่ยวไปเลย ถ้าลูกค้าจองเตียงเดี่ยวก็น่าจะให้เตียงเดี่ยวนะคะ บอกตรงๆว่าลำบากมากตอนนอน นอนไม่พอ แถมปวดหลังเพราะตกแอ่ง ส่วนวิวมองจากห้องคือสวยค่ะ ชอบวิวทั้งกลางวันและกลางคืน เห็นวิวเมืองและแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยาไกลๆ แต่เรื่องการนอนคือไม่ไหวจริงๆ **อีกเรื่องคือการพักผ่อนหลังจากไปพัก** ครั้งนั้นน่าจะครั้งที่ 3 แล้ว หลังจากพักไปนั้นได้หลายวันแล้ว อยู่ๆมีโทรมาขอเบอร์แฟน บอกว่ามีกิ๊ฟวอเชอร์ เราก็ให้ไป แต่โทรไปเรียกเก็บเงินแฟน ซึ่งแฟนก็งงๆ เพราะไม่เข้าใจ เขาบอกว่าเป็นความผิดพลาดของพนักงาน แล้วโดนอโกด้าเรียกเก็บเงินซ้ำ เลยโทรมาเก็บเงินที่เรา ซึ่งเวลาจองก็คืออิงจากเมลล์บุ๊คกิ้งที่คอนเฟิร์มมา แล้วเปิดให้พนักงานดูเลขทุกครั้ง ก่อนเข้าพัก ซึ่งที่ผ่านมาก็จองหลายที่และเยอะ เขาก็นึกไม่ออกว่าจองจากเลขบุ๊คกิ้งไหน เดือนๆนึงพักหลายรอบหลายที่มาก พอเจอแบบนี้คือเสียความรู้สึกเลย เลยกังวลว่าเป็นมิจฉาชีพรึเปล่า จึงไม่ให้แฟนคุยอีก คือพาเราตกใจด้วย คืออยากให้ปรับปรุงนะคะ แต่ทุกอย่างพอรับได้ค่ะ ถ้ามีโอกาสก็จะกลับไป ขอบคุณค่ะ

Very good view, esp. New Year celebration fireworks show. Otherwise no any good impression. Bad service, no luggage services, dusty room, very old room decoration, no good parking, poor function elevators, not enough staffs, broken light bulb, look cheap soap and shampoo (like cheap roadside motel). All night light on bulb at balcony. I forgot my daughter sleeping suit. At first, reception told housekeeper didn't open wardrobe and she didn't see it. How scared!!! That's mean no one clean in wardrobe, and might many areas in room. So horrible in this such pandemic disease situation. Next day other reception told housekeeper found SOMETHING in my floor (not specific my room) and sent it to laundry, didn't tell anyone, second horrible action. At last they didn't find it and couldn't explain about cleaning process nor lost&found protocol. I didn't expect for this hotel. But it should have better standard in cleaning process, not like this. No more here.

Located 10 minutes away by foot from Asiatique. There are nearby halal and non-halal eateries, saloons and 7 eleven. The lobby is grand, however the rooms are basic and old, but very clean. The staff here are polite. Breakfast includes personalized eggs cooked by a chef, dishes like rice, noodles (fried noodles on the first day, kuey teow on the second day), toasted bread, buns, vegetables, potato wedges, ham, cocktail sausages, salad, fruits and drinks, such as Americano coffee, orange juice or plain water. Wifi is provided. I would recommend packing your own soap and shampoo because the bar soaps were tiny and the shampoos were in sachets. The room includes a hairdryer, 2 bottles of water and cups, a mini bar and hangers. The AC gets cold very fast.

We booked this hotel because it is near the Chao Phraya river, where we booked a boat trip during new years eve. It’s a 10 minute walk from the hotel to Asiatique (a must see tourist spot in Bangkok). Room: It was pretty basic, but everything we needed was there. We choose this hotel on december 31st because of the large window and good view. It was nice to see the fireworks from here for a relatively low price. Service: Service was ok, nothing exceptional. Normal and friendly staff. Location: If you want to visit Asiatique, then this is a great spot. For the rest of Bangkok you’d do better looking for something more central. Good to know: there are multiple options to get a good massage in the same street as the hotel.

This is very worth to stay to relax, be quiet from any distractions, great views, and can sense to the city life in Bangkok. But the hotel is a bit far from tourist attraction, I truly recommend to stay here if you come in team or group of family then you can organize a tour to see Bangkok and come back to stay here. This hotel has a big room with fair price. This should be good if the hotel can provide more option on halal food and vegan meal as options and the food is very nice. For halal food, this should be found not far from the hotel, there are muslim restaurants and community to see. No worry to stay and explore nearby.

แย่ครับ ความใส่ใจของพนักงานไม่มีเลย ถึงจะเป็นโรงแรมเก่าแก่ แต่ไม่มีพัฒนาการด้านการบริการเลย ถือเป็นโรงแรมที่แค่เอาไว้เก็บสัมภาระและค้างคืน 1.เดินเข้าจากลานจอดรถชั้น2 เจอพนักงานท่านหนึ่ง เราก็ยิ้ม พยักหน้าทักทาย ไม่มีปฏิกิริยาตอบรับ 2.เดินลงมาที่หน้าฟร้อนท์ พนีกงานอีกท่านเดินมาเราก็ทักสวัสดีครับ ไม่มีสัญญาณตอบรับเช่นกัน 3.แจ้งพนักงานไปว่ามารับลูกค้าส่งสนามบิน ให้ขึ้นไปเก็บกระเป๋าด้วย ได้คำตอบคือ "ครับ" แต่ลูกค้าลากกระเป๋า 3 ใบใหญ่ ลงมาเอง (ปล.2 รอบ) ไม่มีใครไปช่วยยก 4.พีคสุดตรงนี้ พนักงาน 1 คน ในเคาเตอร์, พนักงาน1 คน นอกเค้าเตอร์, พนักงาน 1 คนที่ประตูทางออก มีพนักงานรวม 3 คน นะครับ แต่เราและลูกค้า ลากกระเป๋าออกมาหน้าประตู ลงบันได ขึ้นรถ โดยไม่มีพนักงานคนไหนสนใจที่จะช่วยเลย และที่ไม่มีเลยคือคำลา หรือคำขอบคุณสักคำจากพนักงานคนไหนเลยเช่นกัน แย่มากครับ ไม่แนะนำเลยสำหรับโรงแรมทองธาราแห่งนี้

Decent hotel, clean & pretty rooms. Overall good looking from the inside. Breakfast was decent as well (although we Dutch people miss the brown bread). Overall friendly staff. The view from our room (11th floor) was great, one of the best I had in hotels. A quick tip, they have paid wifi. The cheapest way is to order a drink in the lobby since those come with a one hour wifi code as well. Free would be the standard for me so this would be possible upgrade for the hotel. Beside that, don't image the swimming pool is too fancy since they lack places to sit and it's located on a floor that was pretty much empty and seem somewhat abandon besides the swimming pool. I think it's a good hotel for travellers that come and go but I personally wouldn't stay here longer then a few days.

เป็นโรงแรมที่คุ้มค่าที่สุดเท่าที่เคยพักมา สถานที่ติดถนนใหญ่ เดินทางสะดวก ไม่เปลี่ยว แต่ก็ไม่พลุกพล่าน มีร้านค้า 7-11 ร้านขายอาหารแบบสตรีทฟู้ดอ่ะ สนุกดี ใกล้เอเซียทีค แบบเดินไปสัก ห้าร้อยเมตรก็ถึง ถ้าเดินไปอีกก็มีร้านอาหารเยอะมาก ส่วนของโรงแรมโอ่โถง ที่จอดรถเยอะ ห้องพักสวยงามสบายมากๆๆๆ ที่สำคัญเจ้าหน้าที่บริการดีมากๆเลย เรากดจองห้องผิดวัน เจ้าหน้าที่รีบช่วยหาเบอร์ติดต่ออโกด้าให้จนเสร็จ วันกลับ คนใช้ลิฟต์เยอะมาก รอลิฟต์นาน จึงรีบลงบันไดมาแปดชั้น เจ้าหน้าที่เห็นรีบมาสอบถามว่าเกิดอะไรขึ้นหรือเปล่า พอรับทราบปัญหารีบมาขอโทษ รู้สึกได้เลยว่าเขามีจิตบริการมากๆ คราวหน้ามาอีกแน่นอน

This is an old building trying to be new. The lobby is nice and looked like it had been recently refurbished but the rooms were dated. We were on the 12th floor and could still hear the traffic below complete with cockerels bringing in the dawn. Sleep quality not very good at all. The lobby has a small bar area but 160Baht for a small beer was outrageously expensive compared to other hotels in the area. The only saving grace is its proximity to Asiatique which is just a short walk away. Back to the Chatrium for me if I ever have to stay in the area again.

The rooms were probably nice back in the 90's when they were built but with modern standards it's not worth it. The lobby and restaurant looks amazing so you get pretty disappointed when you get to the room. Bathroom is terrible and I'm pretty sure that the black spots on the shower curtain was mold. The American breakfast is a joke and you're better off if you run down to 7-eleven. I'm not coming back.

Bathrooms are really old. It was not really clean, I found a dead cockroach in the bedroom, a long painted/fake neal in middle of the bathroom and even if they came cleaning they did not took it away. Breakfast is not good, the breakfast room is dark and old. To be honest dont come here. I stayed 3 nights with a group trip so did not have the choice to choose the hotel

Room was big and nice, a little older furniture but comfy big bed. View from the room is beautiful. Lobby is nice, reception stuff very friendly with very good English, solved my problem immediately (my mistake with wrong date on online reservation). Breakfast was decent, comparable with other hotels I visited in Thailand. On checkin I recieved password on 1 day free wi-fi, later you must pay for wifi, which is fast and reliable. Hotel is on quiet place in walking distance from Asiatique.

Very disappointing. There are not many basic supplies. Two disposable shampoo and four towels are all. There was no toothpaste, toothbrush, conditioner, or razor. I stayed at this hostel the next day, but I didn't want to clean the room, so they didn't even fill me with basic supplies or towels. It is very unfortunate that other low-cost hotels also fill the necessary supplies by way of leaving them at the door.

The hotel looks bad on the outside, but is nice and clean on the inside with spacious rooms. The hotel has a swimming pool. Breakfast is good. Great location, especially for muslim travellers. There are many halal eateries nearby and the mosque is also just a minutes of walk. The breakfast buffet starts at 6AM. Quite variety of food to choose from, but it’s the same thing every day. The hotel interior seems a bit old, but still enjoyable.

We had a quick check-in. Friend and courteous staff. The room is clean, and the bed is comfortable. The location is walking distance to groceries, restaurants, massage. We included breakfasts with our stay, and it is all good.

The location is allright, not to far from the tourist attractions, but not super close either...the rooms have quite a nice view and the service is also quite good. There's also a really nice swimming pool. The reason I didn't give the Tongtara five stars is quite small, you get only one key. Sounds stupid but if you're in a room with multiple people it can be fairly annoying.

Friendly staff, great views, great bedding and fair breakfast. Taxi to/from airport plus highway toll fees is 450 and takes 40 mins if no traffic. No water fountain and only Wi-Fi during your stay unless you pay 100 extra; safety of luggage keeping facility dubious. Super value for money. Amost everything in this part of Bangkok costs about double than it does in other areas.

Apart from the fact their restaurant was closed which was a big disappointment for me as no decent farang food available locally, the hotel was fine. Big room. Big bed. Big window. Piping hot water. Clean room. Very friendly staff. Convenient for Asiatique (also was closed). Good value for money if you need to be in this end of town. Many taxis on the main road. Recommend!

Nice budget hotel with a beautiful lobby and theme. Service is good. Rooms do need renovations. Buffet Breakfast is good but limited selection. Plenty of local food street vendors in the area. It’s near the Asiatique waterfront attraction with plenty of restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Also near the newly built Terminal 21 shopping mall.

the facilities was superb! staff was really helpful and the price was cheap. I booked this hotel from Hopper and i thought this is a budget hotel since the price was cheap but i was amazed once i arrived. i like every single things from the hotel! it’s also easy to check in and check out without any complicated process.

เข้าพัก 1 คืน ไม่ถึงกับติดแม่น้ำแต่ได้วิวแม่น้ำ ชอบนะครับ วิวดีมาก อสียดายแดดแรงไปนิดนึง แอร์ดี ปุ่มไฟดี ใช้ได้ ของไม่พัง แนะนำครับ ส่วนผมจองที่นี่ผ่าน agoda ในราคา 1,228.- วิวแม่น้ำครับ

มองด้านนอกเหมือนไม่สะอาด แต่เข้าไปข้างในสะอาดมากๆ ห้องพักสะอาด อุปกรณ์ภายใน ทางเดินปรับปรุงใหม่สะอาดดีครับ ราคาไม่แพง ใกล้เอเชียทีค ที่นอนนุ่มมากน่านอน หมอน ผ้าห่ม สะอาดมาก พื้นหินอ่อน ห้องน้ำมีอ่างอาบน้ำ มีรองเท้าแตะ 2 คู่ กาต้มน้ำร้อน กาแฟฟรี ผมให้ 5 ดาว ช่วงโควิดแทบจะไม่มีลูกค้าเลยครับ

เข้าพักคืนวันที่ 29.12.61 พนักงานยิ้มแย้ม แจ่มใสดี ห้องพักสะอาดเหมือนในเว็บไซต์ ไม่ต้องกลัวโดนหลอก วิวเมือง กลางคืนสวยครับ อาหารเช้าอร่อย มีหลากหลายครับ สิ่งที่ควรปรับปรุงคือ ห้องที่ผมพักแอร์ รุ่นเก่าเสียงดังมากกลางคืน ทีวีดูได้ช่องเดียวแก้ไขไม่ได้ ใครจะมาพักลองพิจารณา ดูนะครับ

Oh man, I loved staying here.. the hotel is beautiful with a great view. Nice and delicious breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful. The shower is hot and the rooms are cleaned well. I loved it here here. It’s 13 min walk to Asiatuque . Love it

Good,The river view is quite nice,good area Just older and need renovation,best price and clean room,room also big. If change all staff in the room,example toilet,bath basin,and change baed sheets and blanket,new paint everything that will be 5star

Absolute gem hidden away on Charoenkrung road. It's not a fancy hotel, but very cozy, spacious room size with charming service. If you have the chance, stay on the 16th floor for a spectacular view of the river! Enjoyed our stay very much :)

It's a great location to spend time near Asiatique Riverfront. I stayed with family to enjoy the 31st night of 2018 at Asiatique Riverfront. Good view of the river from the room. Amazingly great view of Bangkok city from the hotel's rooftop.

I didn’t like this hitel at all, one of the worst hotel i hav ever been. The location is ok, the bed is small for 2 people, there was a hole on the blanket, the doors are opened by a key not a card and the elevator take for ever to arrive.

Decent view, big rooms, friendly staff. Limited breakfast. Slowest wifi ever i had. Be careful about smoking balcony, you might get locked inside. Pool area is under construction and looks like an abandoned place. Near to Asiatuqe market.

Love this place. The riverview was great. It is located in the walking distance to Asiatique Riverside shopping zone. The room was very clean. The lobby was beautifully decorated with modern Thai style. Will definitely revisit.

All good except the same breakfast everyday. Hotel is 15 mins walk to asiatique, the happening shop & dine place for tourist. Along the way, can find halal stall & restaurant. There is a masjid too.

Poor internet , gym and swimming pool open 10-18 , have booked the rooms with river view but when I checked in I got the rooms with city view. Staffs at the front desk not friendly at all .

Older but modern renovated hotel. Great location as within walking distance of the Chao Phraya River. Nice area of older Bangkok. Rooms are simple but good and clean. Good value for money.

Located in Charoen Krung Road which many halal street foods nearby. Near Asiatique as well for only 7 mins walking. Room is large, neat and clean. Bed is comfy. A worthy place to stay.

Wifi wouldn't connected. Room clean, even if I had to kill a cockroach. Friendly staff. Need to update the pictures. The ones online must be 10 years old. Or get a gardener hahaha

not enough staff for service, i ask for my room many times from 3pm i arrived to 4 pm i just get my room. extra drinking water very high price at 70 bht for 600ml mineral water.

Hotel looks good and room are fine but: 1/ the bathrooms are out of date, 2/ some feature need renovations, 3/ breakfast is really not up to the Standart of what people expect.

Very spacious room, we'll decorated and maintained. The staffs are excellent. But if you are addicted to smoking, think twice.... Because you can't smoke anywhere in the hotel.

Beautiful hotel designed in modern and luxury. I'm love'n it so much. It take about 10 min to sky train. so, I want to take it at least 1 night if I come around there again.
