Bangkok Protestant Cemetery is located on the river bank not far from Asiatique. Many foreigners who lived and worked in Thailand are buried here. But not only foreigners, also some Thai people are buried here. Tombstones are from different times. Some are very old, while others are recent. Some are large, while others are small. Some are in a good condition, while others have been damaged by the weather. Some people buried here were diplomats, while others were business men or sailors. It is an interesting place to visit. If your interest is limited, you can spend half an hour here and leave. If your interest is bigger you can spend more than an hour. If your interest is very strong, you can visit the place again and study more tombstones. Entrance is free. The cemetery is open every day from 8 AM to 5 PM.

I came from Sukhumvit with taxi. Next time I'm going to take the Sky Train and only take a taxi down Charoen Krung. The cemetary was locked - I didn't even notice it, went straight into the Protestant Cemetary - the Jewish cemetary is the brown gate adjacent to the left of the Protestant one. Searched for a local caretaker and finally a key was produced, The Protestant Cemetary is quite fascinating with lots of history - for travellers, and actually has quite a few Jewish Tombs too. Definitely worth a stroll. Unfortunately, I went to visit my friend who.passed away and was burried there instead of in Cambodia where he lived. It's a quiet place, Lot's of shade. Bring candles and matces with you.

Tourist review: If you're a history buff and mainly came this far South from Asiatique, then I recommend coming here. I came via bus just to see the graves of guys like George Dupont, but it was during the hot season and it was very hot (like a more humid Arizona hotness). There's also a gas station and Amazon Cafe across the street (but crossing pedestrian crosswalks in Bangkok is so difficult due to Thai drivers not stopping when they should) and Asiatique (neither of which excites me). It's quite quaint and it satisfied my thirst. However, coming here once was good enough. Perhaps go to a bookstore instead of here?

This is a very chill hidden gem in Bangkok. Right next to Asiatique and right at the river. You can go for a stroll and leave the noise and hectic behind for 30min. This cemetery is home to very old graves from the 19th century as well as quite recent ones. You will find mostly Europeans and some American graves. Some of them tell fascinating stories. Others are only carrying the names. It’s a great journey through human history.

Very cool to walk around this well maintained cemetary. Some of the gravestones are too old and illegible. Many of the deceased buried here were missionaries or foreign guests of Thailand who have contributed to the betterment of Thailand. The graveyard is on the Chao Phraya River with quiet views of the boat traffic and sunset. Highly recommend if you find yourself with a free day.

Visited October 2017, a quiet cemetery, memories of European and American influence in Siam/ Thailand. One grave in particular made an impression, a group of missionaries and their families, all killed in the same road accident. Well worth a visit, but it is a bit of a trek down the Charoen Krung Road from Saphin Taksin area.

during king rama iv and v thailand imported lots of expacts to work and upgrade the country. most of them never return home. this is their grave given by the king.

A serene and beautiful place. A couple of interesting statues and a great monument to Alabaster. Also close to the centre, so be sure to pop by sometime

Small cemetery, feels a bit surreal compared to the environment, a mix of christians, jewish, german and chinese graves
