This Lal dighi masjid very well known for Chottogram people due to Lal dighi and field. According to banglapedia…The masjid is believed to be built in the late 17th to early 18th century. The exact date of construction is not known. There was an inscription tablet located near the eastern facade of the masjid, but this has gone missing. the masjid's architectural style is similar to nearby masjids (such as the Gorai Masjid 1680, of Kishoreganj, and the Chaksri Masjid, circa late 17th century, of Bagerhat). The masjid fell into disuse, and was abandoned. During the late British rule in Bengal, this masjid was re-discovered, and cleared of the thick vegetation.

লালদিঘি শাহী জামে মসজিদ লালদিঘি মসজিদ (লালদীঘি মসজিদ) রংপুর জেলার বদরগঞ্জ উপজেলার লালদিঘিতে অবস্থিত একটি প্রাচীন মসজিদ। [1] ইতিহাস সম্পাদনা 17 শতকের শেষের দিকে 18 শতকের প্রথম দিকে মসজিদটি নির্মাণ করা হয় বলে মনে করা হয়। নির্মাণ সঠিক তারিখ জানা যায় না। মসজিদে পূর্বাঞ্চলীয় মসজিদটির কাছে একটি শিলালিপি ছিল, কিন্তু এটি নিখোঁজ হয়ে গেছে। বাংলাপিডিয়া অনুযায়ী, মসজিদটির স্থাপত্য শৈলী আশেপাশের মসজিদগুলির অনুরূপ (যেমন, কিশোরগঞ্জের গোরাই মসজিদ 1680 এবং বাগেরহাটের 17 শতকের শেষের দিকে চকশিরি মসজিদ)। [1] মসজিদে অবহেলা হয়, এবং পরিত্যক্ত হয়। বাংলায় ব্রিটিশ রাজত্বের সময় এই মসজিদটি পুনরায় আবিষ্কৃত হয় এবং পুরু গাছপালা থেকে মুক্ত হয়ে যায়। [1]

এটা নতুন আঙ্গিকে খুবই পুরনো একটা মসজিদ। ভিতরের কারুকাজ খুব সুন্দর। শহরের প্রাণ কেন্দ্রে বিকাল বেলা একটু নির্মল বাতাস নিতে লাল দীঘির পাড় অসাধারণ। দীঘির রঙিন মাছ গুলো দেখে খুব ভালো লাগে। প্রতিদিন বিকাল ৩টা থেকে এটা খোলা থাকে। আর মসজিদ প্রট ওয়াক্ত নামাজ আদায় করার জন্য খোলা থাকে।
