The Chiltan Hills and Hazar Ganji Range lie west and east, respectively, of the north-south Chiltan divide. It can easily be reached from the provincial capital Quetta and attracts many visitors. Facilities include a museum, picnic spots and accommodation in rest houses. Mammals in the park include--Chiltan wildgoat or Markhor, Suleiman Markhor, Urial sheep (Gad), Indian wolf, Stripped hyena, Leopard, Caracal, Jackal, Red fox, Porcupine and Desert hare. Birds in the park are--Houbara bustard, Griffon vulture, Egyptian vulture, Honey buzzard, Laggar falcon, Peregrine falcon, Kestrel, Indian sparrow hawk, Scops owl, Common cuckoo, European bee-eater, Rock partridge, European nightjar, Long-billed pipit, Orphean warbler, Variable wheatear, Blue rock thrush, Stonechat, and Lichtenstein's desert finch. Hazarganji Chiltan National Park is the essential best known place for visitors to travel while their stay in Quetta. Hazarganji signifies “from one thousand gems,” in regard to the caption that arrogates over a thousand gems are hidden in the preserved thirty-five thousand Accho parking area. Hazarganji Chiltan domestic parkland is situated a bit more 10 miles from Quetta and in addition to was constructed to protect the Chiltan barbaric Markhor or goat. The park is the habitation to foreign plant life species like juniper, pistachio and almond trees.

This mountain range is located southwest to Quetta. This area is home to Chilton Markhor ( Chilton Ibex). The species was once common to mountains surrounding Quetta but its mostly reduced to the national park area now. Markhors are found on highest peaks and can be spotted by poweful telescopes. Recently their population has slightly increased due to protection. This area also has very few Juniper trees. As for facilities for tourists there are none.

It's only one public park in Quetta city. Far away from old city area. Open air healthy atmosphere is available here near mountain lap. Lacking of necessary facilities for visitors. The place is wonderful. Unlike what you might expect; it's well maintained, clean and fun for people who love animals. Very satisfied with the visit.

Great place rightly known as Hazar Ganji "land of thousand treasures"natural beauty in abundance, purity and simplicity guaranteed.

Such a beautiful place but was disappointed when i saw the condition. Govt isn't looking serious to maintain this place.
