A world class institution, I came for their March Meeting and have been blown away by the biennial, both its content and its venues. Al Mureijah has to be the favorite, with its winding walkways, outdoor theater, and cozy cafe full of cats and sunshine. I could easily spend every day here. On my last night I sat for an hour inside the installation “Hum” by artist Hajra Waheed, moved to tears. I emerged straight into the Sharjah Heritage Fest by accident, such a magical experience. Do yourself a favor and prioritize visiting the biennial, it will take weeks to see it all. (Full disclosure I’m an artist/curator with many peers and friends in the show.)

Although it was the first visit to the place for an event by Blankspace, the overall looks and the spread of the place is worth a visit. With the rustic looks and preservation of heritage and culture, this place is recommended for a visit with the family. What I found missing is proper signages and directions of the different buildings and amenities. Might be confusing to find your way around. Parking was an issue due to big event that was happening in that vicinity.

Beautiful old city within the city. Part of Sharjah Biënnale. It’s looks like a amaze and you find out galleries here and there when you roam (you can get map for easy access though) there’s an abandoned old building near the location. The place is beautifully maintained with very friendly and informative security/staffs. Loved the atmosphere.

Vast space with exhibiting groundbreaking work. Very moving exhibition of the late Monir Shahroudy FarmanFarmaian. It can be quite difficult to get to from Dubai by taxi and there is very little reception. The time I visited it was open but unfortunately the only staff were security and did not speak English. Howe we I’m sure there are times to visit that are much better than others if you can pick your times.

What a place Sharjah has created. You have to experience it for yourselves. The architecture, the extremely friendly people working there. They really give the royal treatment to artists. I would love to exhibit there. They theatres , space for music , little areas and large areas. The lighting too is beautiful. Thank you the people of emirates.

Excellent area under development. Not all of the Galleries are open but it is a beautiful area where the architects have done an excellent job of integrating the old historical structures with modern architecture to create a very pleasant space for art exhibits. Looking forward to visiting again when more of the Galleries are open.

The Sharjah Art Museum is the centerpiece of the Arts Area in Sharjah. Located in a large building, this museum is extremely spacious and has a good collection of art, both in its permanent gallery as well as from the temporary exhibitions. The museum is so large that, it can hold many exhibitions simultaneously.

Best place to visit, if you are a enthusiastic of history and culture. Very big museum in size. you will find lots of useful information regarding Islam. Really loved it. Tickets will only cost 10AED for an adult.

It is one of the best places to visit in Sharjah, there a huge library and the backyard is very nicely landscaped with a very good coffee shop. Non-traditional sitting area the open space makes it a great spot for hanging with your buddies. Highly recommend to visit around sunset and enjoy an evening there.

Was good but could be much more developed. I came here for the biennale. I was expected more diversities and range of artists. Building itself gives a nice feeling of peace. Contents can be better

A Gem organization that has been working quietly to grow the art living society. I highly recommend everyone to come and take part in the programs every week. It's awesome to see how Sharjah Art Foundation is offering great courses/workshops/events for the community.

SAF is the place to be! Such a beautiful and inspiring place to be. They always have activities going on for the community, and their installations and shows are so well curated.

I have been for Sharjah biennial . it was superb and it's open for the public it's free u can get to see different galleries art work and their u can enjoy watching movie on open air . Sharjah biennial 14 , 2019 will be open till June 10.

Love love love! Such a beautiful space where you can take your time to really enjoy the exhibitions. The space is well thought out and tranquil. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Would be visiting again very soon!

One of the best cultural spot. Especially to those who's into arts. Brought my daughter to discover and learn about everything they exhibit. Very quiet place to be, away from the crowds. Definitely coming back.

It was the main venue of the Sharjah Art Biennale. The heritage buildings are used to house the contemporary exhibits - a nice juxtaposition. Love the architecture of the place too.

Was here for the sharjah biennial - an unlikely but great location for art. Simply love the setting. The new galleries are so well-integrated with the restored courtyards.

Super recent restoration and enhancement of the common areas and plenty of interesting spots to wander around, very inspiring and of great charm especially in the evening

I really enjoyed my time in the rain room, the staff was very friendly specially Mr. Mostafa who was very nice to everyone and made my visit unforgettable

Amazing gem in the cultural heart of Sharjah. Lots of beautiful galleries and spaces as well as events and workshops. Highly recommended!

It was a stunning location with incredible works of art, each of which told a unique tale. I adored the ambiance and the surroundings.

Went to see the Japanese architecture exhibition. It was a great experience. Make sure to book your tickets in advance.
