Didn't check the bookshop but their art and photography sections are breathtaking. Their photographs will leave you stunned whether a portrait for a young farmer or a zipper flying over the pyramids and the citadel. This place is very well known for foreigners but not so much to Egyptians and it definitely needs a visit.

This place is located on the sec floor of the building, just ask the guard they'll guide you. Unfortunately they don't allow photographs here. If you're intrested in old photographs, postcards, souvenirs and German books this place is the right one. I bought myself a few for mementos.

Extremely sad that this historical bookshop has relocated from its spacious historical location to a small ill-ventilated appartment ...a pitty :( ...giving more chance to new emerging bookstores to abuse German literature seeking clientele.

Just wandering through their catalogue is an experience in itself. A calm place that gives a unique view into the 20th century Cairo. I would suggest to clearly identify the pictures from Tunisia and those from Egypt...

Good bookstore on 1st floor (US 2nd) -- careful, there's no ground floor storefront. Best part, though, is the collection of prints from their founder's negatives from 1900.

A good variety of German Books for all ages, especially nice are the kids area, affordable prices; has moved to the 2nd floor #36 Abdelkhalek Tharwat st.

Very rich place but weirdly hidden with no signs that we kept going around the place and took us ages to find it
