Horrible service: the front line lady doing check in and boarding passes checks was rude and kept repeating 'go-go ask information' when we tried to pass as it turned out, more than 2 hours before the scheduled departure. It was never a problem in any civilized airport. Nebertheless, we were literally bruttaly sent away to sit at the entrance after queuring for 15 mins, without explanation why we were not allowed to enter and wait inside in the duty free area. Rip off at the gate because child's bag's wheel was 2 cm higher than the expected cabin baggage level, this with adult's priority! I had an ultimatum to leave the bag altogether or to pay 50eur more. I have to say that there were other people in the queue whose cabin bag would never meet the dimensions. The service was rude and very selective. Then, priority passengers were left outside for 20 mins to wait in front of a parked bus under scorching 30 degrees with no canopy or shade. Great service especially if you wait with 2 children! We were boarding the bus when the plane was already supposed to be in the air. The airport never bothered to provide the second set of stairs, therefore we all had to board from one door. This further caused further delays. I was trying to submit this comment on the airport webpage, but very conveniently this particular service is unavailable. In a word, rude and inefficient service.

We had a shockingly bad experience at this airport on Sunday 13 August 2023. Arrived for lunchtime Ryanair flight 2 hours before the scheduled departure already checked in online. It took 1 hour to drop bags as the two Ryanair desks that were serving the flight were extremely slow. There was by then a huge queue to get into the security area. We cheekily skipped the queue as at this point we concerned we were going to miss our flight. There was a queue to check boarding cards there. Another huge queue for x-ray. Frustratingly there was a huge scrum for passport control just after x-ray which was the slowest I have ever experienced worldwide in my 30 years of air travel. It was peak season but this was an awful treatment of passengers. We made our flight but only because everyone was basically late and they wouldn’t take off that much luggage. Avoid this airport if you can or arrive about 3 hours before to reduce stress.

travel all over the world and nowhere have I had such a bad experience as at your airport. The lack of control of the huge queues, the cramping of people into a narrow space after passing through security to passport control was more like transporting animals for slaughter. There was no air, no inches of space to turn around. People got sick and children vomited in the queue on other passengers. I don't know if anyone thought what would happen in this place after the slightest panic breaks out - I can imagine it, I have photos and I'm going to send them to the appropriate authorities to verify if you follow the safety rules. There is no specific information on the board at the departures, such as information about boarding - I heard from the lady that I had to listen to the messages. Is it so hard to realize that not everyone has good hearing? I'm shocked and disgusted and hope someone takes a closer look at this.

Very nice airport clean and tidy, staff were very helpfull, disabled toilets were clean and very spacious with no access issue. Traveled with a wheelchair passenger so that passenger and one other person goes from gate one at the terminal on the skylift to the plane. The rest of our party had to go from the correct gate wasn't an issue as they were old enough to do this alone but could be a problem for some. That said there are only 8 gates at this airport so they aren't far away. Again the staff were helpful with the wheelchair and had it up to the plane very quickly at arrival. So all in all a nice smaller airport with helpful staff and good disabled access

Tiny airport hardly enough seats for one plane load let alone 8 wouldn’t like to be here for peak season you need to be here early just to get a bus stop seat. You buy a McDonald’s your looking at over £20 for a happy meal double cheeseburger and 6 nuggets, with no drinks or fries.there’s a costa and bar area all within 10 steps and a small duty free. Theirs a shaded kids play area on the far right hand side, however this is currently closed off. On arrival the you step off the plane for all of a minute and wait long for everyone to get on the bus than it would take to walk to and through passport control to baggage claim.

Ако имате друг вариант за летище, избягвайте летище Бургас, ще останете разочаровани. Цените в заведенията са в евро , това е незаконно. Малка бутилка минерална вода Банкя я предлагат за стойност от 4,80 лв. Персонала е основно ученици или студенти с арогантно поведение.

Arrival here was much smoother than when having to fly from here. Very chaotic security experience and people jumping the queue; passport control right after security went quick. Check in of luggage took forever. Limited food options: over 20 minutes queue in McDonald’s with only one employee making food - decided to go to the sandwich store with no queue instead. Shops are limited and you easily see the whole airport in 5 minutes- not enough seats either.

I was prepared for the worst based on the reviews I found here. I found a normal, working airport. They took our electronic boarding passes without problem (Ryanair). Lines for security and ID check took about 45 minutes. Staff spoke English and seemed generally friendly. One star down cause the prices are really too high, and there is hot water on the toilet so you won't fill up your water bottle there (tip: you can do so on the toilet for the disabled).

Arrival super quick and efficient on board transfer within 30 mins of landing. However departure is where improvements could be made, such as more check in desks could be open for flights rather than just two, when approx 20 were closed. Even basic drinks and food costs were so so expensive 30 Lev or just shy of £15 for 2 waters 1 chocolate bar and 1 crisps.

На всяко едно друго летище където няма 24-часова зона за проверка, отварят в точен час… само в Бургас отварят когато им скимне 15-20 минути след определения час, единственото което изглежда да интересува служителите са клюки и мохабетчета… за обслужването няма смисъл да отварям и дума… Единствения плюс са ниско-тарифните авиолинии…

Small airport you will not get lost here. Extra uncomfortable sitting benches inside and outside airport (departure hall). Hard plast and iron and stone I really can not understand what the idiot could order it. Design is more than functionality. Or maybe purpose..must go to coffee shop and buy expensive drinks to get normal seat.

Quite a pleasant experience there almost every time. Easy to get there both by car and public transportation. Supermarket and beach nearby, bussines lounge as well, so it is always nice to spend some extra time there, if required. It can get quite crowded though sometimes in the high season. Highly recommended off season.

The airport is clean and fine, apart the cafe where such a limited choice and also after they made you a coffee, they say pay with cash, I tried a few time, and the 3d time was “lucky” and after I set down I realised they overcharged me by 6 lev! Not great experience in the Snack Bar! I never expected anything like that

The airport is functional, although at times it can get too overcrowded. Not as good looking and smaller in comparison to Varna airport. Service is somewhat acceptable. The only positive trait of the airport is the fast passport control on arrival, IF you use the electronic passport gates (14+).

the personnel can be more professional, if you are not sure about the visa policy then it’s YOUR problem, stop bothering travelers instead, they know their rights to travel visa-free VERY well. Nice infrastructure but does not feel welcomed one I get off the plane, come on.…

Possibly the strangest airport lounge that I have visited. Closed upon arrival. Food very poor. Drinks fine. Nice decor and spotless. You clear security and passport control in the lounge. A private chauffeur direct to the aircraft, ten minutes before take off, is included.

Flew in with tui, security was relatively fast? But still slow, however we had to wait 50 minutes for our bags to come through baggage claim for what seemed to be no reason! As we were the only flight at the airport, and the staff seemed very unenthusiastic

Very very slow airport. What is the point of checking in online if anyway you need to go back to the huge queue and wait to check in again, even if you don't have a luggage. It took me 1,5h to get in to the duty free and I didn't have any… Още

While this is a nice clean and modern airport, plane scheduling meant that 3 planes from UK arrived within just a few minutes and with only a few passport control desks means that there queue to get through was very long and took a long time.

This airport is manic, nowhere near big enough for the number of people that go through there. We were with a disabled person who was struggling with all the queueing. We queued for 40 minutes at check-in, and then the queue for security… Още

Летището е до морето или морето е почти до входа на летището. Ако полетите не закъснеят има осигурен транспорт от и до Бургас, но само между 5.30 и 22ч. В близост има уютен Била магазин с топли кифлички и разнообразие от кафе.

Small airport, only 8 gates, the ryanair app said terminal 2 but I only saw the one terminal, the one we arrived at haha. expensive inside, buyer beware for the McDonald's ripoff... enjoy the flight

Employees don't know how to work, they don't know anything. But has a very good children's room. Small but clean airport

Burgas is a small, well-maintained and organised Airport with an outdoor smoking and small play area.
