Definitely recommend visiting!!!! They are currently remodelling the front so you must take a detour and find a parking spot! My advise is get there early! I think they open at 630. We got there fairly early like 8ish and the parking was empty but when we were leaving, it's packed. This church is huugeee! Lots of room and lots of escalators to help you from walking to much. So much history into it! You can easily spend a whole day exploring. The walking sticks wall display gave me chills (donation from people who came to pray and they can walk again) Light these candles please! The church run on donations and volunteers so pay a little and light their candles please! Also, plese be mindful of your outfit. For you to walk into any religious place, please don't wear too revealing clothes that is not the place for it!

This is a beautiful church that gets a lot of tourist attention. Parking is available for $5 (cash only). If you are traveling with strollers or elderly people, there are elevators inside to get to each level. However, given the number of people and tourists who visit, it can sometimes be a bit of a wait. The votives in the church now allow credit card payment (using tap) to light one up. However, they all don't seem to work. There is a gift shop where you can buy various items from rosaries to statues. Also, on the 1st floor, you can have prayer requests and light the traditional votives. Be prepared to spend at least an hour here as the church is huge, and you can also get a great view of downtown Montreal when you step outside on the balcony.

Esta bonita, pero a mi parecer sobresaltada, sólo por que es enorme, pero arquitectónicamente hablando no es tan impresionante como otras, la vista es bonita seguramente cuando no tienes todo cerca en construcción . No permitieron acceso a Xíimbal lo que no me agrada, pues la han dejado pasar a iglesias más importantes y no se ponen así. Ya se la saben, si quieres más información, otros lugares de interés, más fotos o recomendaciones, estoy en todas las plataformas como " COMBIAJANDO"

It’s a beautiful church with stunning architecture. There were a few free parkings at the entrance and in front of the main building, but parking staff randomly sent us to the one at the entrance. If you park at the entrance parking you’d have to walk for about 10-15 minutes uphill to get to the main building. Inside the church there’s plenty of rooms and ADA accessibility. They have elevators and escalators. There are also electric candles you can light up in exchange for a $2 coins.

It was indeed one of the most beautiful and peaceful place of Montreal. When we went there, it was under construction and parking was free. It was built on the hill and it has wonderful view of the Montreal city. We really enjoyed our visit there. Though parking was limited on the top so sometimes you have to wait for it. Other wise everything was good there. We visited basilica and oratory both are good and must visit place of worship

j'ai été impressionné par la beauté et la sérénité du lieu. La messe elle-même était également très bien orchestrée et les chants étaient magnifiquement interprétés. De plus, le personnel était très accueillant et chaleureux, ce qui a ajouté à l'expérience positive. Dans l'ensemble, si vous cherchez un endroit pour prier et vous recueillir, je recommande fortement l'église catholique St. Joseph of Mont-Royal.

My family and I decided to attend Christmas midnight mass, I ordered my tickets online, when we arrived, parked, a shuttle was present to bring us up to the top, after the mass, the shuttle brought us back down, the experience was flawless, very organized, we will be back next year.

Highly recommend to visit this church if you are in Montreal. Amazing decor inside. There is no admission fee. You need to only pay parking fee 5$.

Beautiful church in the neighbourhood but we couldnt find the entrance. Likely closed the day we visited even though it said it was open.
