Had all kinds of weird water problems this year and called these guys in a panic after water was dripping on the top floor. Found their number with google search and called them based on number of positive reviews. I was surprised when I got an answer immediately at 7AM from a guy named Neil. He said they would be there later that day, and indeed they were. I assumed the guy answering the phone was a coordinator, but it turned out he was the owner. Neil and his top guy fixed our leak immediately and gave me the bad news that our roof was shot. He gave me an estimate to replace it on the spot. Of course I got two more estimates which were way higher. I discussed this with Neil. Sometimes the cheapest price is not the best. Neil reassured us that there were some items on other quotes that were no necessary. He also assured us that he doesn't sub out contracts, which is important to us. Once we confirmed our decision we booked a date. I assumed that there would be delays, as workers these days seem to never respect agreements. Not the case with these guys. They confirmed their date the day before and showed up ont the date, and at the exact time he said they would! The work is great. Neil's ability to explain is very reassuring. You know right away you are not being given a salesman line, but an experienced professionals evaluation. With roof's, no one wants to think about it..it should just work. Cleanup was fantastic. Roofing nails have a wide foot and will stick straight up and pierce tires and feet. I have young children so I did an OCD inspection after they left. Didn't find one nail. Wow, wow, wow. Honestly cannot say enough. We have a leak around the drain of our flat roof. First of all, Neil and his team are the only roofers who, despite being very busy, will still answer your phone call, or at the very least will give you a call back. I had called many roofers, most won’t call you back, some will say they will show up on a certain date and time but just never will. That’s where Neil and his team really stand out amongst the others, he will find a way to squeeze you in, and if he can’t make it he will call you to let you know if he will be late or coming another day. Absolute professionalism. Most roofers we spoke to didn’t think our leak was an emergency, or the job was too small for them, again this is where Neil stands out, yes it may not be an emergency but we still want to get it fixed. Neil and his team came on time, assessed the situation, gave us multiple options, was able to find more places that had damage, did the repair and left the place tidy. Not to mention they are funny and informative, as well as he took the time to answer all my paranoia questions and show him other places where we would need work to be done and explained those options to us as well. This is the type of company where I would want to pay them for all my other repairs around the house. We’re not sure if our problem is 100% fixed but Neil gave us all the confidence that he would come back and fix it again if need be. Definitely recommend MTL roofers!!

What can I say about this team other then amazing!?! I know nothing about doing a roof and so I can only trust that the job was done properly...I can say it looks great and from what I saw and heard everything seemed to make sense. He spotted a problem with my bathroom fan ventilation exhaust and took care of it, I had always assumed it was the fan inside and so he just saved me a few hundred dollars replacing something that didn't need replacing. What I can say about this team is that they where an absolute pleasure to hear work, great communication thru out, and I spent most of the time they where here outside playing with the kids. What really stood out was the leadership from Neil, Positive and encouraging to his team the entire time! I stopped counting how many "good jobs", or "great work" I heard! He took the time to teach his crew when required which I though was fantastic! Not just telling them what to do, but taking the time to explain the "why". (I think there might have been 1 or 2 new guys on the crew today) Overall, I was hesitant at first to go with a crew I didn't know, especially since their price was much lower then my other quotes but I'm glad I did. The work was done quickly, the guys where professional and the job looks great. I probably have one of the easiest roofs to do, but it was done in 5 and a half hours....including a lunch break. Will definitely recommend them in the future.

All these 5 stars reviews are saying were completely confirmed for me too, including the appreciation they have for good homemade cookies (thank you Kelly for the idea), so nothing else can be added. But above all, I think there are 3 major facts to keep in mind if you are looking for a roofer: quality of work, price and never ever judge people based on their appearance. And don't forget they can provide some other services, so check their website. Overall, a completely very good experience from the first call to the last nail in my roof and to the last dirt cleaned from around the house. Yes, for the roofs there is always the long term concern, but from how I saw these guys are working, I don't think I should have worries, especially when everything is backed by 15 years of workmanship warranty (the longest I found) and a lifetime material warranty. Bottom line, as a homeowner, you just wish a guy like Neil to be part of your family, a cousin or something ;) Once again, thank you, Neil, thank you guys, you are indeed a special team, take care and keep it together because what you have became a very rare thing, especially in the residential construction field. I have to say that after having a number of companies come to our home to give us quotes, Neil and his team was by far the most informative, knowledgeable and respectful company. As they worked on both my roof and my neighbours roof, It was very obvious that Neil knew exactly what he was doing: he was always talking to his men on the roof, checking and asking them questions to verify that his team knew what they were doing and why. He worked along side them the entire time, listening to their music as they worked under the hot sun. They cleaned up everything afterwards, put back all of our outdoor furniture and left my place as if they had not been here. I even made them cookies and they were so so grateful!!!! Montreal Roofers redid our flat roof 2 years ago, but it leaked that winter, causing 10,000$ of damage! The inspection report from our insurance company indicated that they had used barely enough membrane to cover the drip edge, which was a contributing factor. I phoned and wrote, but Neil never responded. When I finally got Neil on the phone, he refused to take any responsibility at all. He discredited the inspector and told me if my roof didn't leak during a rainstorm, he and his team had done nothing wrong. I was surprised because of the number of amazing reviews here (now I wonder how many are fakes) and by the charm with which Neil swore he and his team would be over in a minute if, God forbid, anything ever went wrong. I really trusted that he had integrity and I was wrong. Just be aware that if you encounter problems in workmanship, this company will not act honourably.

I had a leak that was coming either from my roof or my skylight and was dealing with another company over a 3 month period and they were not able to solve the problem. Had a troublesome leak that no one could fix, until Montreal Roofers got involved. We had two other repairs done before calling Neil and his team, neither of which solved the issue. i called them on Wednesday, distraught over issues and leaks i am having with a year old roof done by another company.
