I was nervous to transfer my prescriptions from a Walgreens on a different side of town to this one but it is much closer to my home so I did it anyway. What a mistake! First, let me say that the actual pharmacists are very nice, my issue is with the techs. The first problem is that they completely LOST the prescription that my Dr sent them for a medication that I have to take daily or I get very sick. The techs acted like this was no big deal and actually argued with me as to whether my Dr's office had the correct information. They were rude and incompetent. One tech put me on hold and left me there for 30 minutes after she very obviously got annoyed with me. It was absolutely crazy. I finally had to get my Dr to redo the entire process of writing and sending them my prescription which took even longer since he is very busy. I FINALLY got my medicine two days later, THANK GOD after I called for the millionth time and spoke with the actual pharmacist himself. (Who, again, was very professional and helpful.) I see that this Walgreens has horrible reviews and now I know why. They absolutely need to do an overhaul of their employees and provide better customer service training! I do not believe that the customer is always right at all since some people are just horrid BUT there has to be competent employees in the store, especially the pharmacy. Some customers HAVE to have certain medications to live and/or function in everyday life! Noone should be treated badly for needing reliable pharmaceutical services. Sorry so long! JUST TO BE SURE IT'S POSTED CORRECTLY, THIS IS THE N. DAVIS STREET WALGREENS. I'VE HAD GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH OTHER WALGREENS IN JAX.

Very poor store. Customer service and services alike. Not to mention the homeless people all over the outside of the store begging for money. I called all day multiple times and got no answer after staying on hold for 20+ minutes each time. I tried calling the manager of the store and when they transferred me it rang several times and hung up. Then, what's the purpose of having an express pass that is supposed to let you jump ahead of people not utilizing this? I still had to wait. Then when I asked the person at the pharmacy to ask the pharmacist a question she shuffled me to the next window, without letting me pay for my items. This was after she had me standing there for five minutes and walking back and forth and not acknowledging that I was there. After the pharmacist talks to me I have to go back in line AGAIN, and wait for the same poor customer service person to "help" me. I had the QR on my phone that pulls up my medicine and she completely ignored it and asked for my name three times because she can't spell apparently either. Then proceeds to walk around the whole pharmacy when my medication was still in the next window over where the pharmacist left it. She knew it was there because she was standing next to the pharmacist when she was talking to me. This whole store needs a staffing upgrade/retrain and to get rid of the riff raff out front. I will be changing Walgreens locations after this experience. The prior one I had here a few evenings ago was just the same. One person on staff and huge lines. When someone asked a worker over by photo for help, they said they have no idea and they don't work in the front, and walked away. Never again.

Extremely poor customer service! Walgreens Venus & 8th St. After being left on hold for 1:45min, I drove to the pharmacy to pick up a cough syrup. I was told the antibiotics prescription was ready (which I rec’d), however the cough syrup would be later because they were short staffed. I was then told I could go to any other Walgreens to fill the prescription. I was NOT told that the prescription had to be released from the current store…here I go again on the hold cycle again for an hour & a half … still counting! A ‘store manager, Amy’, would not reveal her last name refused to help me indicating I just needed to wait for Pharmacy! I realize that in business there are busy times & there are short staffing issues, but I sincerely feel her rudeness & obvious insistence on not helping me is intentional. When asked if this is how Walgreen’s patients were treated she said she could not help me further. Now my hold time has exceeded 2-1/2 hours…. Ringing & going back on hold! I can’t imagine this is a policy of Walgreens for sick customers! This is indeed ridiculous! On hindsight, the store on Norwood was extremely helpful.

The customer service I received in the pharmacy on 3/6/2018 was superb. My son recently suffered a terrible car accident and admitted to Shands and underwent facial reconstructive surgery. After check out we had prescriptions to fill and went into this Walgreens since it was close and I needed to get him home. This was a delicate situation since my son's wallet had not been found yet and he has no other insurance except what the VA provides: Walgreens and the pharmacy technician took care of us. The VA across the street had issued my son a prescription discount for us to use and the young AA lady with very long braids in her hair whom waited on us worked hard and stated she would be giving us what equated to her discount due to the fact the cost for myself to fill would be less expensive. She went above and beyond and provided excellent customer service and was kind and gentle. I wish I had been in the frame of mind and gotten her name so she will get recognition! Thank you for everything!

I'll go to someplace else to get my prescriptions filled. The pharmacist is on a power trip full of ego. He has no clue what his staff is telling customers. He had no clue I was there earlier to drop off prescriptions. He informed me I had to go home and get the other prescriptions to get a refund because someone deleted my insurance information and I was over charged for one and the others I was told I needed prior authorization from my insurance??? What??? Very under trained and unprofessional. The cashier had no problem processing the refund for the prescription he had said I had to go home and get to get a refund. I think he's dipping in the controlled substances behind the counter.

As a pharmacy next to a hospital overall business efforts are not made to keep this location on Davis St. clean. The environment is often dirty outside and crowded by the deranged homeless and there is no law enforcement presence most times of the day. Cashiers are not friendly and move very slow so checking out is a wait, likely because of pay and the constant foot traffic of homeless stealing and soliciting. Photo department kiosk out of order for days. More professional attention is needed at this location, we cannot simply allow for the area's demographics to destroy what should be good for all.

Called the pharmacy 3 times, trying to get my prescription transferred. Waited for about an hour all together, just to have to walk across the street anyway because no one would answer. When I get there, they had 1 shift lead doing all the work in the pharmacy. When I look in the back, it looks like the techs and pharmacist are talking. No one is bothering to answer the phones nor help with the line. I know pharmacies are busy and there’s a lot to do, but they shouldn’t have a manager basically running the pharmacy. They need to help him out too. Unacceptable.

Been taking my prescription here for 6 months because my insurance doesn't pay for it and they are the only ones who always have it. Today after dropping it off before 9 am and them requiring more information yet again, they call me at almost 4 pm saying because they don't take my insurance they will not fill it. So now I go and finally find my meds and guess what have to pay for it still since my insurance doesn't pay for it. Pharmacy manager Bill is an a$$.

My Pharmacy was out of my medication. I called this Walgreens to see if they had it. I sat on hold for 20 minutes. After talking to a rep they hung the phone up. I called back while driving 20 minutes to get there. They kept picking up the phone and placing it on hold. I get there and there were no customers at all. They were laughing and joking. I told the Pharmacist. He could care less. Laziest sorry employees I’ve ever dealt with.

I had to switch pharmacy from cvs to Walgreens and since then I constantly have issues with my prescription! I get confirmation every time saying my doctor sent my medication. For some reason the 3rd time now it’s “not sent”. Never had a issue before!! I just don’t understand! Not my doctor just sent my medication twice and your system is still not showing anything!! This is the last time I will ever deal with Walgreens again.

Absolutely horrific service. My family was I town for vacation and 10 year old niece had to go to the emergency room. The meds she needed were no where to be found and called and went to three locations to try and find so they could fly back and we were treated so rudely and with complete disregard for such sad circumstances. I would not recommend them to anyone! Shame on you.

I looked at the security guard on my way out, BIG MISTAKE. He looked blasted on meth while wearing a bullet proof vest and a gun. He started yelling at me asking what I was looking at, when I said him, he flipped out. I had to call the police to get meds from the pharmacy. Never going back to this place, until it's shut down and sold to another company.

Basically they dont care if you live or die. They never ask you if its ok to place you on hold and once you are inevitably on hold, they leave you there for a ridiculous amount of time. Finally after forever on hold you get to speak with the most unfriendly and often times just plain rude and hostile pharmacy employees. Its just not worth it.

I am a prescriber and I've never been so appalled with how unprofessional this facility is. I sat on the phone for 40mins trying to put a rx in. To be placed back on hold and not taken seriously when speaking to the woman who answered the phone. Not sure what its like going inside but don't try to call the pharmacy. Clearly they're no help.

They need to improve there drive thru !! Its a disaster !! First of the location where it is can not hold more than 3 cars before the rest is blocking the entrance to the parking lot to the store itself !! And you're there for ever wanting to get or drop of meds !! And there store prices are very high sorry to say !!

They leave customers waiting for a long time in the car service. lunch time is supposed to be from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm and from 1:15 pm they do not attend, leaving one in line and then saying that they are going to have lunch. And it is not the first time that it happens that they attend slowly.

I will never ever put one on a walgreens property again. If someone asks me to take them to a walgreens. They will have have to get someone else. My meds cost almost 1500 a month. I was disrespected at this place on 8 and Davis. If he will do this to me who else he done it to.

This has to be the most horrible place to be doing business 2 hours on the phone and one hour in line to be told they didn't have my prescription. I bet if it was one of the rejects working there that was dieing in pain they wouldnt have to endure more torture from a pharmacy.

THE STORE IS FINE BUT, THE PHARMACY IS THE WORST. THEY WILL HAVE YOU ON HOLD FOR 20 MIN AND LONGER JUST TO HANG UP. IF SOMEONE DOES ANSWER THEY ARE NASTY AND RUDE!!! I'VE CALLED PROBABLY MORE THAN SIX TIMES, TODAY ALONE. I GUESS THIS IS WHAT I GET FOR NOT GOING TO CVS!

Walgreens on Davis St is just a shame!!! On hold for four hours waiting for the pharmacy. I wanted to see how long I could wait while doing other things. I got a bunch of stuff done on my day off except speak with anyone at the pharmacy, now I have to go up there.

I was on hold a hour bad business . To top that they lied told me my script was ready I paid a cab $20.00 to bring me to get it and I got there and they tell me they can only give me 20 pills out of 128 pills. This was on a Friday I can't get the rest til Monday .

A huge safety issue on the property!!! Owner should move the can on the side of the building. It is stopping customers from getting to store safely in a vehicle. No type of warnings . No bright markers. Walgreens will be held liable when accident occurs.

Do not choose this location for covid testing. While the site states a Rapid NAAT test will provide results in approx 3 hours, it has now been 24 hours and I still do not have my results. There is no customer support for the testing and

Called in a prescription. Was notified that it was ready. My husband went to pick it up but had to wait in line for 1 hour and 15 minutes. He got to the front and they didn't even have it ready! We won't be going back.

Normal Walgreens, but they let the trash fill the parking lot. I even saw an employee using a leaf blower to clean the front door area. Maybe they don’t want the trash to blow inside.

Dropping off/Picking up Prescriptions here can be an all day affair! The close proximity to the Hospital may be the contributing factor, either way prepare for a wait.
