As a new resident of Kanata, I learned that this Starbucks was opened recently, and must say the lay out and the size of thet store is nice. But that ends here. These are seriuss issues with this Starbucks: - not sure if loud music is the new tactic by Starbucks to either showcase Starbucks cool and appealing or to indirectly prevent customers from staying too long. Either way, the very loud music is unacceptable. It is loud and similiar to going to disco. I have mentioned it few times, but to no change. I also have heard it from other customers. --lack of proper training to the staff, and/ or not caring or paying attention to the order/ details, has made few of my orders wrong. And when I brought it up, they completly deny it. I will therefore take this to the head office. It really concerns me that they are so defiant and will deny customer concerns. - This Starbucks is quite often out if inventory for Earl Grey tea and breakfast sandwiches. And what surprises me is that it has become normal for employees. Overall, as a very long time customer of Starbucks, I can positively say that this location is the worst I have dealt with. Let's see what the head office will say.

Very disappointed with the fact there was broken glass under the tables on one side of the Starbucks on Hazeldean Road's very sizeable outdoor patio. My husband and I were there this evening on a coffee date with my 11 month old 4 lbs yorkie pup and he came close to cutting his paws on the many small shards of broken glass. Thank God in the dim light we saw it in time. When my husband ordered our so-so coffees he mentioned the glass all over the ground near the back end of the outdoor seating to the counter staff and in the 40 minutes we sat there no one came out to clean/sweep it up. No regards for patrons & their pups safety. It takes a few minutes with a broom, dustpan and a double lined bag to at least remove as much as you can so no one gets hurt like kids or pets who tend to play/be on the ground. Two ladies came to sit on the patio as we were leaving and they were headed right to the tables over the broken glass and my husband warned them about it. Not cool at all Starbucks.

This review is for Starbucks location 457 Hazeldean rd. Cars kept getting their drive through orders! Take out deliveries got theirs and I waited 10+ Minutes my my feet for my drink! The girl making the drinks was moving so fast and when I gently asked her about my drink I saw she was close to crying. I Waited a bit longer and no one cared to make my drink. I finally got tired and asked the cashier for a refund and then she goes; I’ll make it for you now!! Really??I said I’ll get my refund please. The manager Zak definitely has an unpleasant attitude! I would never go back to this location and I really hope that reading this review someone would stand up for the young people working there. Specially the young lady making the drinks. I do not recommend this location. Take a few minutes of drive and get your drink at Starbucks in Kanata Centrum or se Second cup @ Hazeldean mall.

I have had plenty of rewarding experiences at Starbucks cafés, however the Hazeldean location disappointed me severely. The layout and seating is pleasant, but the list of good aspects ends there. I had to wait an entire twenty minutes to receive my drink. The people who ordered after me had all received their drinks and left by this time. I had ordered a Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew and the employee's excuse was that they had to fetch more heavy cream. The twist here is that my drink does not have any heavy cream in it whatsoever, and the official Starbucks website confirms this. Baristas were drinking coffee while working and heavily chatting, therefore slowing down the process. I am severely disappointed by the level of customer service that was given at this Starbucks and will not be purchasing my coffee here again.

Unfortunately I have to say I just had the worst experience here. I have been coming to this location for about 6 years now and never have I encountered such hate. There happens to be a new hire there who clearly has issues with people of a visible minority. This persons was very obvious and unwelcoming based of off who we are. It was unfortunate to have to go there with children and get spoken to with attitude and rudeness. This person did not respect the fact that we are human beings and deserve to be treated with respect the same way we showed respect back. We were 4 people with 2 kids and we all had to leave elsewhere. I would like someone to contact me about this issue, for head office or the distract manger. Please and thank you.

Today I went to get 2 drinks and was not only did my cc gift card get charged but the person proceeded to say he was returning the charge as there was an error with the machine. You cannot refund on these cards. Rather than listening he she this young red headed girl (both had red hair btw) he just talked over me and was clearly not able to listen but just kept speaking louder. Both of these staff members were EXTREMELY rude and Unprofessional and should maybe not work with the public. I would have not been as annoyed but to top it off I was not given my points for the money I spent in the store and even tried to tap for my Starbucks. I would give it -10 if I could for today’s experience. Hands down worse place.

Great service, and tasty Frap! I will start by stating I am not a connoisseur of coffee. I do enjoy a treat every now and then, and the frappuccinos (vanilla) are very nice. The new Starbucks location on Hazeldean road (in the Farm Boy mall) is very nice size, with plenty of seating, inside and out, which is a very positive change. The 'old' location, in the Rockin' Johnnies mall, was difficult to navigate (to say the least). The new location, is easier to drive thru, and has plenty of parking. I usually go to this Starbucks location right before work and the staff are usually friendly and nice. I unfortunately met their racist staff member ALEX. ALEX was extremely rude to both my boyfriend and I. Not listening to our drink order, rushing us to finish ordering etc. The icing on the cake was when she told me that I’m not allowed to use my 300 stars for the drinks I wanted. As I waited for my incorrect order ALEX then greeted the Caucasian customers with a smile, was extremely helpful and patient them. Starbucks needs to get rid of this Klan member!

I was working in this starbucks for a couple of hours and my drink had gotten cold overtime. When I asked if they could microwave it for me Zach/Zack offered to just make me a fresh one instead. I know the policy and this was completely at his own kindness and it made my day. I also observed that he continuously picked up trash, leaves that had blown in and re-set the space as people had come and gone. Clean, kind and quick service!

Great place to catchup with work, friends and family. A hot cup of coffee on a winter morning is something that I crave for and what better place to start your day. Dorian needs to take some customer service tips from the other employees. I ordered 2 venti drinks and one of them got rung up as a grande. I told him that the grande was supposed to be a venti. He then said "Well you only got a charged for a grande" and stood there. His whole demeanor made it seem like he thought I was fishing for a bigger drink without being charged for it. The logical response is obviously offering to fix the issue(ie: get the correct drink and charge accordingly).

The other day I noticed something floating in my iced latte, at first I couldn't tell what it was and almost dismissed it, upon further inspection I came to realize it was a bug!!! I brought it to the attention of the barista who's name I recall being Amanda, who was very unapologetic and rude. She started remaking my drink eventually however didn't apologize once or show any remorse. I've always loved Starbucks and their coffee however this was a very off-putting experience. :(

I went into the Starbucks on hazeldean road and spoke with Nicole the manager to set up coffee service for my husband's military funeral. Not only was Nicole compassionate and empathetic she was professional and so very kind. On the day of the funeral the coffee along with all the items to prepare the it were all boxed up and ready to go with no wait time. I highly recommend this Starbucks and service from Nicole particularly.

Had a very bad experience at this location, I have tried 3 different locations they were excellent, every time I ordered it's constantly the same order. Usually, they give me a full venti cup and only charged me $5 and something cents for 2 full venti cups. This time I ordered 2 of the same venti cups they charged me $8.04 and I only got half of my coffee in each cup. See the picture below. Very disappointed and got overcharged. Not recommended at this location.!

Slowest drive through in kanata, 3 cars in front of me I don’t even think ordered any as there was no way they took and made those orders in under 10 seconds each but took roughly 5 min for the other cars ahead of me. And for my drink I asked for a venti and got a grande and my dragonfruit refresher was not purple but a weird opaque. Asked for 50$ reload and they put 5$ I Will stick to the other locations as they are typically in more convenient locations.

It’s Starbucks. Service is very friendly they seem very happy and very helpful. They’re kind and nice to you which is always a good thing not like some of the other places I sometimes frequent for a coffee. All in all, it was a very good experience but it’s what I expect from Starbucks not like some of those other coffee shops. Keep up the good work Starbucks. By the way I just had a Venti blonde roast. As always I was never disappoint by this place.

It's pretty darn good. My only criticism is that there was a group of very loud ladies, laughing and talking at quite a volume. I mean loud enough that everyone in the place could hear every word. So, not terribly relaxing for the rest of us.

Great coffee that makes Timmies taste like Mother Parkers. If you're a drive thru person in the morning, the extra .50 cents for Starbucks coffee is worth not waiting for 20-30 minutes for a Timmies. Plus the customer service at Starbucks is always friendly and smiling regardless of where you go. It's a stark difference from Timmies where customer service equals a grumpy looking employee who seems bothered by you buying coffee.

I go to this location often and the staff are awesome. Funny and efficient and when there's a long line-up they always apologize for the wait. No apology necessary, but it's just nice that they offer it all the same. I also had a drink that wasn't half-sweet as requested on one visit and they remade it with no issues. I felt bad asking for it to be remade, but they were very apologetic and were not put off by it in the least.

I’d give zero stars if I could. Waited 25 minutes in the drive thru. Watched as the car in front of me couldn’t get the debt machine to work. Finally get to the window we’re my card and phone we’re both not accepted. Was told to give my unlocked phone to the employee so he could complete the sale at a register inside. As I was uncomfortable with a stranger having access to my banking. Was told to leave. Horrible service

Honestly depends on location. Some seem to cheap out on ingredients to save cost and make things stretch out which then drastically changes the taste. Kanata location at Canadian tire gas bar is great! The one on hazeldean road is hit and more miss, bridlewood almost always gross, Kanata chapters 70/30, Woodroffe on Carling AMAZING! The manager there, Rory is one I follow because of her service and drink making!!

This Starbucks wasn’t a good experience every time I go there’s always something broken, it’s not worth it for the price we pay, the workers didn’t let us know the items we ordered were not available and they didn’t offer to change our order for us. Two of the ordered was okay and two of them are not what we ordered, not happy at all … waste of money and time

Tuesday 10:45. Flat white and vanilla bean scone were excellent. Staff friendly and professional. Great vibe!! Tables socially distanced. Floors have salt stains but grit swept up regularly. A fresh open feel. Wish some of the open spaces had green plants. Would bring things up a notch and make it more inviting (my issue). Tables cleared and cleaned in a timely manner. Plan to return.

Everything is great but the drive through is the worst I've seen. The Mark's on the building and the yellow thing indicate cars have struck them both several times. I had to back up a little when I realized I might hit it. Smaller cars are fine.

This is a newer location with a small but nice patio. The baristas are pleasant and they usually get your order correct. HOWEVER, they seem to be charging more than all the other surrounding locations - Tanger/Eagleson/Centrum/Canadian Tire. For example they charge $2.47 for a Tall Pike but all the other locations in town charge $2.26! C'mon, what gives??

Rattle Snake Point is a nice little casual hike that is suitable for family and beginners. Not a long hiking area but does provide a lovely view. Best time in my opinion would be during mid autumn to see the colorful trees with the different colors of leaves.They have a few spots where beautiful pictures can be taken of the whole forest area around it.

This is a pretty new Starbucks location that has a nice vibe. They still have a few things to smooth out operationally, compared to other Starbucks locations that I've been to. However, there is a lot of seating here and quite a few different types of seating, so it's very accommodating. It's a good place to meet others or do work by oneself.

Absolute must to visit this place . Booking is pretty much essential. We didn't and they managed to squeeze us in but people who arrived after us were turned away. The staff are very friendly and efficient without you feeling like they are hovering. The food is all freshly made and so tasty and portions are generous.

I really enjoy going to Starbucks, it's always clean and the baristas are friendly and welcoming. I never had a bad drinks or when I purchased some coffee for home, it always been grinded the way I asked. I also received good suggestions when looking for purchasing a bag of coffee with a specific taste.

I went to this Starbucks location a few days ago after recently moving into the area. I had an amazing experience here! Dorian, the employee behind the counter was super friendly and patient with me. The drink was delicious and I felt very welcomed. Looking forward to going to this location again!

They always make a big deal about making decaf. I'm sorry that I don't want to get as hyped up as a teenager on adderall at 9:00 PM. You ask for an decaf coffee but they charge for an Americano. How is it my problem that you don't brew decaf coffee?! Why should I have to pay more?

Arrived at this location 2 days ago, place was packed and absolutely no distancing at all. We ordered our coffee and sat down. We waited for someone to verify our vaccine proof, but they never came around. I went up and asked but they all look at each other, and ignored me.

We ordered via mobile app, and immediately realised we had put wrong store location for pickup. Tried to call Hazeldean location to cancle order, no less than 5 times, but no one anwsers phone... $22 worth of drinks and food wasted because they can't pick up a phone....

Got a sense of racism and either it be a cold or hot drink it’s never made perfectly , either too much of ice, or too much of milk or missing coco chips/syrup/pump shots. I’m writing this review after experiencing it more than 8 times. Mistakes don’t quite happen always.

Always fast and courteous service at this location! Love your holiday drinks, especially your peppermint mocha!! I'll be back soon.

I stopped in here recently to grab a coffee and some Christmas gift cards. The staff was very friendly. There is some seating available here, but it seems to fill up pretty quick. Parking lot can be a little chaotic as it is shared with many other stores.

Waited all year to order my first Chestnut Praline of the season. What I got, was a watered down, flavourless latté. My friend commented her latté also tasted flavourless and watered down. We wasted $17 on two drinks that were thrown out.

the baristas are super nice here. nice patio and the instructions i gave were followed which is surprising. i usually take off a star while rating any starbucks because of the high price point but i really appreciate this location. thanks

I find the drive thru at this location slower then average, but if you're buying outside of the rush times then you can expect the usual quality. The parking lot is a maze, not that the store has much control over that.

Served by a man named Jon today, he was very friendly, made me feel very welcomed & ensured I was happy with my order. Always so friendly, will continue to come to this location because of how welcomed he made me feel!

While I’m used to getting a lot of ice in my beverage - today my drink was 3/4 ice. Which is a little ridiculous. I shouldn’t have to order it with light ice to get the right value for my almost $7 purchase.

The usual Starbucks. Maybe a little less seating than most. Everything was good as far as the ordering and service went. It's in a shopping plaza so it's a frequent stop for me while going to other shops.

I find their drive through sooo slow. It seems like the past 3 months something has changed because it used to be more efficient. Seems like they’re not able to multitask or something. Disappointing :(

No coffee establishment offers a strong / bold cup of quite like Starbucks as well smooth. Thank you for the various choices you provide to your loyal customers. P. S. Variety is the spice of life.

When you order many items via the app don't expect employees to get all items ready. It happens many times. Plus, when you ask for missing items they act like nothing happened! So weird!!

The staff here have always been very kind and helpfu, and they're more often smiling than not. Their drinks are yummy and the service is quick and courteous.

One of my favourite Starbucks locations in Ottawa. Parking is often a problem, but very nice inside, good spot to get some studying or work done.
