A recent trip to this Shopper Drug Mart location for a passport photo with my sister on a different date left both of us feeling very disappointed, and I feel compelled to share my negative review. The incompetence displayed by the shopper’s staff in handling the back of the passport photo was absolutely unacceptable. Several crucial elements were either missing or poorly executed, making the entire process frustrating and time-consuming. Firstly, the name and complete address of the photo studio were not clearly displayed on the back of the photo. It is an essential requirement for passport applications, as it ensures traceability and helps maintain accountability. Unfortunately, the staff neglected to include this vital information, leaving me concerned about the legitimacy of the photo and shoppers itself. Equally concerning was the absence or poor visibility of the statement, "I certify this to be true likeness." This statement is meant to affirm that the photo accurately represents the applicant's appearance. However, due to the staff's negligence or inadequate printing, the statement was either missing or too dark to read. Such a flaw undermines the credibility of the entire passport application process and reflects poorly on the Shopper Drug Mart's professionalism. Moreover, the guarantor's signature, another crucial element required for passport applications, was either missing or illegible. The guarantor's signature serves as a verification of the applicant's identity and helps prevent fraud. However, the staff's failure to ensure a clear and visible signature raises doubts about the authenticity and reliability of the entire photo. How disappointing to have a pharmacy close-by but it is unfortunately run by a hot-headed, impatient and condescending bunch. My mother was in the area and went in to seek out information regarding the Covid vaccine and why some locations were offering it to walk-ins while my father, who is eligible for Phase 2B have still not heard back about an appointment. As a non-native but English speaking Canadian, it takes time to ask a question and it takes the other person time to listen and answer. Rather than explain that these extra doses were limited and were given on a first-come-first serve basis to avoid waste, the “gang” constantly interrupted her and told her to “go book online” then turned to whisper and banter amongst themselves as if to dismiss her. When she asked them for their names, they got defensive and kept asking her what her question was. If you had listened, you would know. You are in a very diverse neighbourhood and so is your staff. People will seek information verbally and in person if needed. How dare you be dismissive and disrespectful. Very unprofessional and uninformative. Your pharmacy was not busy and she would not have wasted your time if there was a line. Make the trip to Ellerslie Shopper’s Pharmacy than to bother with this unprofessional bunch. Postal Office is great however and the products found in the mart itself is impressive. I wish I could give them a better rating separate from the pharmacy.

The security of millbourne mall have always targeted me as a young person and this is the second time i have been kicked out of the mall for harmless things ( last time i was simply charging my phone and the security guard got mad at me and kicked me out of the mall ) The manager at this shoppers is miserable and shouldnt have her job as shes disrespectful and rude to paying customers. I am now apparently “banned” from this shoppers for 2 years for no reason, after giving them every opportunity to do whatever they needed to feel better about my friend and i being in the store (we offered them to continue following us around if they wanted and to check our bags, to which they refused.)

I can say I'm a loyal shopper at this store. Lately I been getting followed around and it's been making me feel off about this store now. The other day I notice they followed me and I noticed 2 white girls shopping, and they knew the store worker was following me. I witnessed them steal makeup while the workers were watching me. I shopped at this store for 4 years and I even know a few workers. The newer workers are very intune with natives stealing because they like to follow me, giving me bad anxiety, but white people can steal too! I just looked at her and even gave the worker an ugly look because she's supposed to do her job. I didn't care at that point. The 2 white girls laughed, and I felt bad, but that's not my fault. I don't steal but they can steal all they want. Poor employees giving customers bad anxiety is just the worse

Shoppers at 38 Ave inside Millbourne mall is probably the worst store in whole Edmonton. Very hostile environment. The moment I entered people stopped working and looked at me as if a criminal is entering. No smile on anyone's face and eyes wide open as if they have seen a fierce animal. Were they afraid of me, or my Hijab? Are they being racist? Shoppers Drug Mart is a great store. They must look into this matter for their reputation on greetings to the customers. May be they had experienced shop lifting but does it mean to see every one entering in as a thief. Store manager must reset the store setting and organization if this was the case. Lastly but most importantly buy some good quality security cameras and hire an efficient security agency. I will definitely never visit this RUDE and disrespectful place again.

I was looking for a Strivectin product and an older European lady at the beauty counter told me to spend $100 so I could get 30000 points (she saw that I was paying by AmEx and did not have an optimum card). She said she would register my optimum card in order to get the $30 worth of points. Later when I went home I noticed the points did not show up. I contacted optimum customer service and they said it would not register unless I used a PC Mastercard. 2 things: Why did she convince me to spend $100 when I did not need to??!! Second, I looked around myself & found a gift set that contained the product I was looking for plus it came with two more products which was a much better deal. You need to educate your staff members. I am very disappointed and will not shop at this location again.

I booked my Covid 19 and flu immunizations online and I went into the pharmacy on time for my scheduled appointment. The female pharmacy technician is clearly very unorganized and inefficient. I spent about 15 minutes standing waiting for her to.figure out the computer. I cannot stand for that long because I have joint and nerve pain in my feet . She was also grossly touching the vaccine bottle with her gross keyboard hands and after touching her face. Clearly neither her or the other male tech had any idea how to use the computer system to set up the vaccines. It should have been ready and prepped when I arrived for my appointment. Very un organized and gross touching the vaccine bottles without rubbing alcohol. So I promptly left without my vaccines because my time was wasted .

I would've given them lower points if there were any! Horrible place to shop! The lady at returns is most amicable, helpful and pleasant to talk to! All other staff talk in a different language. Primarily ALL FILIPINO Staff, who are absolutely inattentive and oblivious to customer's presence. Distracted cashiers, does not understand simple mathematics. One wrong scanning led to my wasting 25 minutes in the store and when I tried to explain the mistake, I was told get it changed from the returns/ customer service. Why would they do it in first instance when I am telling them to correct the error. manager is All smiles and welcoming but what will I do with smiles if the training and service is lacking?? looks like such abysmal rating of 2.7 hasn't got their attention at all.

I came here one time and i realized i forgot my mask. I went to the til covering my face with my scarf and asked for a masked as i had forgotten it. There were two filipino people at the till, the older lady gave me as exasperated look, and told me im suppose to bring my own mask, i told her i had forgotten it as it was in my other veh, she gave me a glare and told me that next time they wont be able to give me a mask and reluctantly finally gave me a mask. Its a mask? The store are suppose to provided it to you if u dont have one, as it is the law. This women acted like it was such a hassle for her when she had a huge box of masks to give to clients. So bad customer service and no help in regards to following covid protocol.

I have been calling customer service and no answer. I bought a pair of earplugs from them and the cashier told me specifically that they work, so I’m like OK I go home and try to charge the earplugs no charge. I tried to see if they can turn on it not at all so I end up going and wasting my gas back to the shoppers drug Mart. They send me back home. Tell me to call the one 800 number I called it it’s not customer service. It’s a survey number I’m not happy to give a survey when customer service is not even good at their job I’ve been calling nonstop nobody’s answering. I am going back tomorrow because I need my money back $40 is too much to spend on something that’s not working in this economy.

Very rude staff at pharmacy. Attempted to ask pharmacist about a medication and she proceeded to tell me to go to the pharmacy I got the Rx from. When I told her it was a sample from the doctor and I am wanting to know if a pain medication can be taken at the same time for gallbladder attacks, she told me to go talk to my doctor about my gallbladder, all the while standing behind a counter behind the consultation area. Very unprofessional, especially feeling like I have to announce my medications and health concerns to half the store, just to be met with rude and dismissive comments. Not at all impressed and absolutely not the same treatment I've received at other shoppers pharmacies and staff.

ATTENTION!!!!! Will not be going to be in store shopping any more!!!! Wait for gift cards and wait for lotto and then she tells me to stand in self check out( and wait) and then she has to load the gift cards any ways( and wait). What is happening with the stores? Shopping on line now and i hope franchises like this CLOSE and i hope everyone else does the same. Why be so CHEAP! hire sum staff. Why does the customer all suffer and have to wait, times are tuff and i will spend my hard earned coin were I feel like its deserved. I feel sorry for the one girl running three self check outs, lotto, gift cards on Special holidays to boot and not to mention all the other people waiting in line.

One of the worst Shopper Drug Mart's branches, staff have no sense of customer service or professionalism, misleading prices of products, mislabeled, old offers labels on products, they don't take off on time when it expires, you go to the casher, she remove it off the products and charge you more, store suppose to be committed to the prices they offer otherwise don't offer it, I complain about the same behaviour many times, but they are too big to complain to, they have enough customers, they don't care, shifting to London Drugs with my family and friends, the market will balance with time, and then only they will start to consider the complains and focus on customer service more.

I was shopping today. At the till, I was trying to redeem my points. However, it gave a message that there is an issue with my account. But it took away 100,000 points but did not take $140 off. The cashiers were confused as to what happened. They suggested I call customer service but they were closed. Then I messaged customer service but no response so far. It’s a major inconvenience as I had to drive 20 mins to this store as there are specific items that are only available in this store. Now I don’t have the items I was trying to buy. Plus I don’t have my points. Furthermore, I wasted more than an hour of my time. I’m very disappointed at what happened.

By far the worst shoppers drug mart I have ever been to. The pharmacist and her co-worker by the name of Nicole and Jacquie, all lack empathy, professionalism and speak on my medical records out loud when there was a line of people!/ I was mortified, to say the least. Even though the shoppers are right beside my home I will never seek medical advice there and will be switching all my medical care and meds to another shopper. There is a reason their google score is sunk so low. I wish the owner would pay attention to his staff and make sure they practiced the medical oath they took at school! What a disgrace for them to be in the medical field.do better!!

I was at this location today at 1:30 pm and my check out time at till was 1:45 pm I was the one wearing a dark pink jacket with a black backpack on pushing a cart down the shampoo aisle when a code 9 was put on me because I had to go into the cart carle to get a shopping cart I have been going to this location since March 2013 and I have never had a problem or been treated so badly up untill March 2020 and today the only reason why I come ti this location becuse it's convenient for me instead of Millwood town center location if this location doesnt want my service I will go some where else and I do apologize for being aborginal

Very bad costumer Services and rude behavior by Manager MelChora who refused to exchange bad milk I bought from there and disrespected me and my friend by putting blame on us that why we are laughing with each other? I am just surprised how it will be wrong for them if I am in good mood with my friend. The store manager refused to listen me and refused to help me out with product exchange. She walk away by telling me that I have to contact with milk company directly she cant do any thing. This is not the first time happens. Mostly on this location I experienced bad costumer Services.

Horrendous manager and a push over owner. The manager of this store is named Melchora and her work ethic and morals are disgusting to say the least. She treats her employees with no respect and I know this first hand because I worked here before. After me, she's let go of staff for minute things and embarrassed staff in front of other customers. Mel will also pick fights with customers because she believes she's at the right and force customers away without an explanation. Do not work for this store, also take your business to another Shoppers that will treat their customers better.

This store has Extra ordinary selection of grocery, electronics, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. Inventory is well stocked, merchandising is easy to shop and well presented. It is superior to similar competitors. Customer service is helpful and friendly. Cashiers and frontend management are responsive to limit customer waiting times. There are always two cashiers and can quickly add 2 more cashiers from the merchandising staff. This store is surprisingly bigger than the store front indicates. I am puzzled at this Google rating and believe it definitely should be higher.

She don't want any of colleague's to help people .If she want to help alone then she must be capable to do that .customers not there to waste time for her guidelines.Other staff was there but nobody can help without asking her .Second thing I am aware that Self checkouts are for good cause but not to disrespect customer's. you need too change your customer service.

The 2 ladies in the cosmetic dept were lovely today. I made a purchase which allowed me to receive a free sample bag, which normally I don’t accept because many ingredients these days are so irritating for my sensitive skin. But I spent the allotted amount and figured even if I can use them I can give to a friend. However, as I am going through it now I just wanted to say that I really appreciate all of the fragrance free and sensitive skin friendly samples that were in the bag. I was pleasantly surprised

Friendly, helpful staff and decent hours I can usually find everything I need to get here easily. The only complaint I would have is that this store doesn't seem to know how to stock product correctly. Multiple times I have gone in to find something I like on sale with a sales tag only to be told at checkout that it's the wrong thing in the wrong place and not on sale. Ok but then why was it stocked full on the shelf there with a sale tag placed on it? It's a little frustrating but still a great store

*Pharmacy* This store has terrible service behind the pharmacy counter. They seem to have a lot of "students" doing these customer service interactions. I would think that pharmacy students would realize that people take prescriptions for a very good reason and running out of medication because they don't understand to "fax the Dr. for refills" is complexly unacceptable. Oh but don't bother speaking to the manager about it. He shrugs his shoulders and says " I dunno why it wasn't faxed"..... REALLY?

I lost my wallet at this shoppers , they called me an hour or two later and told me they had my wallet. I love this shoppers drug mart. The staff is always extremely friendly and accommodating! There’s always an amazing selection of stuff and the stores super clean. Considering that there isn’t a boutique at this smaller location there is still a huge volume of stuff. While I would love there to be a few more lines that aren’t carried at this location the stuff they do have is fantastic ! Plus they always make you feel welcome and like your customer service is appreciated

This rating is for the staff. The girls that work in the pharmacy are always very pleasant to deal with and very helpful. I go there quite regularly and the girls are always great to talk to and always super friendly and just lovely people. The girls in the makeup section are also great as well. Very helpful but not in your face annoying. And the cashiers are very pleasant and wonderful ladies. All around awesome staff always smiling and pleasant. Love it!

Shoppers Drug Mart is not the only store in town. The "manager" needs some customer service training. If a security officer is watching people in the store doing Absolutly nothing but trying to find a product to buy, and they are rudely accosted and accused of something that's not happening, then asked to leave because taking six minutes to find the product is "taking too long". Then our family will be more than happy to shop somewhere else.

I've been going to this store for years, multiple times a week but no more. The store itself isn't bad and the pharmacy staff are good but the manger has been very rude and condescending to me on more than one occasion for no reason. I've never had issues at any other store I go to, she doesn't appear to understand her job exists due to customers. Oh well, Safeway is right next door with a pharmacy as well with 10X the customer service.

Racist, Racist, Racist. This place is brimming with racist employees. I've been going to this place for a little over 10 years now and have been racially profiled multiple times. I am not the only person this has happened to. Employees have STALKED my family and even denied helping us at times because "they are not allowed to." Worst Customer service. They dont know the prices just scanning twice always page if 4 to 5 customer are in line prices are very high Specially Photo Picture and Electronics. Manager was very offensively she don't know how to talk with customers. Very Proudly talk. I hate this place. Beside FRESHCO. Customer Service was very Awesome always welcome. I normally only go here to use the post office or pick up prescriptions. The post office has always been fantastic in my experience. The pharmacy, on the other hand.....not so much. Most of the staff there are decent, but there is one female pharmacy tech who is incredibly condescending and behaves like you are wasting her time just by existing. Unfortunate that somebody like that is allowed to deal with the public.

This is my closest Shopper's and since 2015 I've shopped here regularly. However, for the first time ever in my life I was stalked through the store by the female security guard. I stopped about 6 times in different areas of the store to purchase items. Each time I'd pick up what I wanted to purchase, then suddenly feel shivers on the back of my neck. I'd turn around to find this female security guard glaring at me.

I've had nothing but prescription after prescription screwed up. Wrong prescription filled a few times too. Rude service from lot of them except for the nice older lady with grey hair & glasses and the male managers. Not sure how the one lady still has a job there or the other one male pharmacy techs. I only go here because it's close to home and for the points. Might be time to switch.

Girl name “Michelle” working in pharmacy so rude and mean , just because people look different race and colour her attitude and behaviour changes according to that. Closes before 10, won't let people in even when they're supposed to be open. They're more concerned about the employees getting out the door at 9:59, than they are about a customer who comes at 5 minutes to 10 to pick up a gallon of milk. Their posted hours need to stay open until 9:48 p.m. because that's when they stop letting people come in the door.

Went to get a prescription filled on my coffee break from work and they told me it would be 40 mins to fill my prescription. I told them I would get the prescription filled someplace else and the woman told me they might be able to do it in 30 mins; if they rushed. Ridiculous! Went to the Shoppers closer to my home and it took them less than 15 mins.

Michelle girl i asked help for at consultation counter, just because i am different colour then her , she talked so rude and said help yourself finding things, didn't walked or told me which section to go. Never meet anyone so mean and rude working in shoppers before , someone higher authority needs to look into this staff before they hire .

Bad- some of the employees wear s**t ton of perfume not knowing it triggers migraines in some People. Good and the reason for my 5 stars- last month we visited here to get my 2 month olds passport photos. Young Asian girl was very patient and probably took 50 photos before we got a decent enough for passport.

I went there for return one of employees help me a lot to expect the company her name is jaspreet kaur. She ıs so polite and helpfull and friendly, İ love to go there because of her. Whenever ı see her i feel so happy. This five stars are for her. Shopper is lucky to have a such great employee

Worst and Worst and Worst shoppers ever! The staff is so rude and angry for them every customer is shoplifter other than their own people specially the Supervisor and the manager doesn’t have sense how to talk and behave. Thank god there are other stores nearby to buy the stuff.

I had a really good experience today. I went in to the store between 7 to 8 Pm with my wife and kid and this young lady at the entry standing by the perfume and makeup department was super nice and helpful to my family and helped us with what we needed. Thank you. =)

Very bad customer service. I was told to three different version for not accepting product return and when I asked to speak to manager (Mel) - manager came and very rudely told us she is not accepting the return which I bought 4 days ago. I had the receipt with me.

The lady named Mel was the worst manager I've met. I asked her for help but she ignored me and she was also rude with the other customers and her colleagues.I think store should not support this kind of people and give this position which they are not worth it of.

Very pleasantly surprised to see the choice of international and ethnic foods along with all the other items usually found in a Shoppers Drug Mart. I even saw some fruits and vegetables. Some of the items that I saw: Basmati Rice Lentils Tamarind Masalas Sugar

Four stars only because of the wide selection of south Asian dry goods groceries available. Lots of frozen meals and side dishes as well as grocery staples for Indian and Pakistani cuisine. Pharmacy itself is not wonderful... slow and somewhat rude staff.

This is the best Shoppers location ever! From cleanliness and orderliness of the store to hardworking staff, a perfect place to do my groceries! Lots of stuff always on sale like milk, fish, hotdogs, canned goods, best of all Asian products! Great store!

Terrible post office experience. The tool behind the counter cannot even open the safe. My passport was put in there for safety precautions. I had to wait an hour in a half and they had to get a manager to come in and open the safe. Awful experience.

Staff is nice but after getting a new medication I called in to get more info about some side effects I was experiencing. Was put on hold without the call ever being answered and stayed on hold until it hung up on me.

I love this location! Everyone there is so kind and efficient, the pharmacy was so fast and took the time to explain how to use the prescription properly. I feel like this is a hidden gem and will definitely be back!

the pharmacy gave me 60g of medication when my doctor only prescribed me 30g. ended up costing $262. Asked for a refund or any kind of compensation and they said they can't do anything about it. Ridiculous.

Called at least 6 times to inquire about passport photos no answer. Nobody was at the customer service desk very frustrating when you have other shores to do and that is the most important one! Step it up!
