These guys are great. I was shopping for an Ebike in the winter. I knew I wanted a fat tire bike with a powerful motor. I hadn't decided on brand yet but I knew I wanted a local shop that would service wherever bike I bought. I called Red Lion and asked if they would service a brand that they didn't sell (brand is not important) to my surprise they said yes they would service it. In fact they even offered mobile service if required. I started chatting with Red one of the owners and he said he carried a similar bike if I wanted to see how it felt and looked in person. He invited me into his home and we had a chat and I was able to sit on the bike and get a feel for it. It was March and snow was everywhere or I would have taken it for a ride. I decided that I wanted that bike an ET Cycle T720. They delivered it to me in March because it was too icy for me to drive I know some ppl drive bikes in winter but I do not. I just put 150 kms on the bike and Red came and picked it up to do a first service as part of their purchase. He even delivered it back after servicing which is above and beyond in my opinion. The bike itself is amazing I use it as a commuter for work now and it's so much fun to ride. If you are thinking about buying an Ebike in Winnipeg check these guys out you will not be disappointed. If you have an Ebike and need service give them a call I'm certain they will be happy to help.

Have been considering an E- Bike for awhile. Went to a couple of Bike Stores and didn't have a good experience. Saw Red Lion on FB and decided to give them a try. Contacted Rustin and he came to my house with 4 different Bikes. We narrowed it to 2 Bikes (he made a second trip with another bike because he thought I would like it). Rustin made it difficult to decide because I now had 2 strong contenders. We discussed the pros and cons of each. I wanted to sleep on it and Rustin had no problem with that. The next morning I decided which Bike I wanted. Red Lion had it to me in a couple hours. Its really nice to have the time to go over each bike in your garage and than test drive it. Rustin was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. If you are concerned about how to operate a Bike - don't be, super easy to operate. In my mind the price was very good, same price as the manufacture NCM website. The Bike came assembled and delivered to my doorstep. So in reality it was actually cheaper because I had no extra freight charge and the extra cost to get it built. You can't get any better than the bike being delivered to your house or having them come out if any repairs or tune ups are required. I strongly recommend RED LION CYCLE.

Worth a look! Local father and son owners. Nice, helpful guys. Disclaimer...they are near neighbors, but no, not an e-bike owner myself yet. But with aging knees , I'd suggest them to retirees as well as commuters in windy Winnipeg where pedaling a conventional bike into +50K winds is not fun. If you want to beat the sky-high gas prices ...and Winnipeg's very brisk winds, you could do a lot worse than checking out their e-bikes. You can probably arrange a test ride. The bikes look like they're decent quality with aluminum frames ,solid components, sturdy wheels. Not super-light. Model I saw was around 2K about in line with a mid-quality mountain or road bike; Red Lion sells mountain e-bikes. I've seen these guys delivering bikes to their customers...so I'd say the service aspect is definitely there. E-bikes are getting bigger and bigger right now and a lot of conventional bike shops are carrying them. The battery option might just get you to ride more...especially when it's windy ...and if you have a secure way to keep it where you work, one of Red Lion's e-bikes might well pay for itself in a reasonably short time.

Of course it is important for us to support local bike shops. But Red and Rusty – the father and son co-owners of Red Lion – make this very easy. They are welcoming, knowledgeable, and do whatever they can to support their customers at a very reasonable cost. I bought an ET-T1000 a few days ago. They initially dropped by my place with the fat tire ebike so I could test-ride it, then somehow figured out a way to mount some really aggressive snow tires on it. And then will do another check-up on it after 200km for free. They also will pick up and deliver ebikes at your home to make it easier for customers to have work done on them. And if you can’t refuse the temptation to purchase an ebike online, rest assured that they will still work on your away-bike. Full service, full satisfaction. Thanks guys!

I’m gonna give an extra star for creativity, but I’m still not at all impressed by this company’s choice to try advertising on a literal river. You would think a cycle business would be environmentally and socially conscious. The decision to stick your plastic advertising in our public waterways and monetize the Assiniboine River is 1% genius, 99% poor judgement. Edit - they quickly removed the sign and owned up to the mistake... but I see in other reviews that they've inappropriately advertised in other places in the past as well, so I'm not sure how much they're learning from this. I'll change it to 3 stars. Y'all can still do better.

My experience with this local company has been very cordial and informative as I have been shopping for an ebike. To see all of these complaints about an ad in or around the mirky assinaboine with motor boats and tourist boats polluting with gas and oil a river that which appears to be an open sewer anyway is like-"get a life." These complaints have absolutely nothing to do with the quality of products or service. Try looking at this foolishness from the perspective of an independent family business, working hard to make an honest living and serve the people of Manitoba. -Selling environmentally friendly electric bikes no less!!!

Great experience! I called these guys to ask if I could try out an E-Bike I picked out online. Wanted to try before buy. They showed up to my door with 5 different E-bikes to test ride. They were very friendly and my most favorite part: no pressure at all! The experience was relaxing, and it felt like they cared more about me finding the perfect bike that I was going to love than just trying to push a sale. I actually ended up liking a different one that had better suspension than the one I thought I would like. Would highly recommend giving these guys a call!!

Prompt and friendly! I loved the experiences I had with Red Lion Cycle. They arrived to pick up a bike I was returning and were very friendly and sensitive to the situation that led to a bike return (not a bike they carried, but that the bike company in another province set up to have it returned through Red Lion Cycle). Months later they set me up with a test run of a few bikes they had in stock, and were very patient to teach me about each bike I test rode. On 2023 road trip from Calgary to Ontario’s lake country. Volt 750 bikes in tow behind trailer. Bike rack let go at 100 km/h seriously damaging one of our two bikes. Dragging it… literally!! Contacted Red Lion in Winnipeg. Red & Rusty (owners) got us in & out right away. Service like this is one of a kind! Thanks to these guys… we are on the road again to explore our beautiful country! Amazing service!!! After reviewing Red Lion's available bikes and prices on their website I decided to call them to say I was considering purchasing an e-bike but needed one with a smaller reach. They told me they could help me and brought 3 different bikes to my home to try out. I decided on one but it needed one more adjustment so they took it away and the next day it was ready for delivery. Extremely happy with the service and my choice of bike.

Went to Red Lion Cycle - I needed my Rad Rover 5 checked out, kept getting error 30, my bike stopped working, and they took my wife's bike to tune up. They had my bike for a week but never saw the error, my wife's bike has a leaky tire, they put air in - the bike tire went flat a couple days after receiving bikes. My wife's bike skips in the 2 high gears, and won't even go in the lowest gear. They cleaned up the bikes nicely though.

This is the BEST electric bike business around . I love my new electric bike , I ride it to work every day, down gravel , then 7 km’s on the highway to town . BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE, this is very important to me . They always answer the phone, they came out to show me different bikes and when I caught my dog chain in the tire , they came out that same day .
