Did a small bubble mailer to Latvia despite it is written clearly from and to complete address with contact name and phone number but I got it back delivered two times, when I went back to the post office at the first attempt I was told "They" (employees at Canada Post) may think its coming to you from Latvia and thats why it is delivered at your address so it was send again and this time with a bold black marker it was highlighted to be delivered in Latvia and "miraculously" I get it delivered again at my address in Montreal, Canada I went back to the post office and I was told it is may be a "small" size so I supposed to select a "bigger" size of packet which I did and surprised to know that I have to pay the whole entire shipping cost and because of the tracking option is selected the price went up from CAD12.00 to around CAD42.00 .......although it was not delivered and the previously paid CAD12 has gone in their hungry pocket. Have called customer service and was told "We are sorry to hear that but unfortunately since the tracking option was not selected so we can not refund" Come on! if its that much difficult for you to deliver then why not mentioned only one price with tracking so if someone get the mail undelivered without any reason given at least can claim for a refund! What a shameful way of excuse and grabbing Canadians hard earned money for a job it was paid for and which is not done without any reason provided! Have confirmed with the receiver (its a company and receiving mails and deliveries from USA and all other countries at the same address since last 20 years. So its not a problem with the address for sure! I have sent the packet on 11 Mar 2019 and by today 29 Mar 2019 its still undelivered...... What a waste of time and money, shame on you Canada Post for robbing my money! Be aware anyone who is trying to send any postage or any item, please verify and check other options like FedEx, DHL or UPS as you get a better customer service and a solution for you problem if its not delivered. **UPDATE I had to resend the small packet inside a bigger bubble envelope and had no choice to pay more for tracking option but this time it was delivered right to the same address it was sent before using the regular service and was delivered back to me twice without any trace of information why it wasn't delivered!! **This review I have write to let everyone know the difficulty I have seen using Canada Post service, its nothing to do with the staff working at that location as they usually helpful but this is something about the two different services were offered but only the expensive option is working and the nature of postage was not required immediate delivery but because it wasn't delivered in the two attempts were made in the beginning and had no choice to use the expensive service to get the job done.

Is there racism in Montreal? I didn't think so until I encountered this long gray hair lady works at Jean Coutu Canada post@ 1365 Av Beaumont Mont Royal QC (today, Dec.20th at 2pm eastern.) She gives me a great deal of trouble everytime that I try to pick up my parcel! My parcel was under my very own name (even on the stickers on the parcel! ), my own address ( and I showed her my ID) and she insist that it was not my name and that I will need to bring a slip ( but this order from Amazon wass sent directly to the post office therefore, I shall not have any door slip!) Every single time, she would tell me the parcel is belonged to someone else and that I need to have a authorize paper signed by the real owner, door slip and ID! This never happened to me at any other Canada Post. Please stop treating people like this, just because we are different color than you are!

For one thing I dislike Jean Coutu overall, the reason I go there is because that’s where my packages get held if I’m not home. But the post office is all over the place. Several times I went in the past weeks and found signs saying that they would close earlier for the day. Went yesterday to find out it was closed. Today I called to not have to waste my time. And it will be open, but as of 12pm. Shouldn’t people be able to know when they can go get their packages? Or not have to go to several different locations? It’s the holidays too, like what poor management this shows to not be staffed to support this time or the year where clearly, there will be more packages on the move. Mediocre.

For whatever reason, Poste Canada sometimes drops my package at Poste Canada even if I work from home and I am most likely always there. It isn’t much of an issue for me to go and get it but I feel as I shouldn’t have to since Amazon always delivers at my door. Whenever I go, there is always a lineup. Last time I went, there was a weird lady customer in the lineup who started screaming that she liked my purse. Everyone was staring at me and my purse. It was a bit embarrassing. So I would very much prefer to receive my package at home.

I needed to return a package, in which my label was sent to me by email as a QR code. I asked her to print it off and she told me that i have to secure it on the package myself. I asked her for tape, she told me she didnt have any (a canada post that doesnt have tape hahaha) she made me buy a roll at almost $5. Are you that cheap that you couldn’t provide 3 pieces of tape!!!!

  • Canadien Poutine

Susan the blonde lady is discriminatory. She Refuses to serve you in French because of your darker skin colour, while more clear-skinned customers get welcomed in FR. Why the different treatment?

This office is still living in the Stone Ages. Whenever they want to change timings they put a piece of paper on their front counter. More than 6,7 times in last few years I left my office earlier and I found a new schedule. I went yesterday and saw new timings due Covid-19 it’s ok But Loosers update your timings online .

Not my favorite Canada post but I usually have to pickup parcels here. Some of the employees are outright rude, some just do their job. There is usually a line or sometimes the employees are somewhere else in the store so you have to wait.

I came here for my parcel returns but the lady didn’t want me to send she told first buy the tape and put the paper on it then I can ..they don’t have any tape to put the paper on the parcel ..its important to buy from their ..

This us one of the friendlier post offices in the area. Almost every time I am there they have to put up with someone who doesn't have any idea how to treat service people. Yet they persist with a smile

I know it's weird with covid and all, but every time I go there they have new business hours which I of course have missed and have to make a second trip.

  • Gurbir Singh

Every time I went to pick my parcels , I never face any trouble and without any delay I got my parcels. So very good service from staff.

  • William

nice employees - you gotta hand it to them, they aren't making a ton of cash and they put up with just about everything
