major tips: 1) bring ur own carrots for attracting the deers (cut long thin slices to optimize for amount and distance so they don’t reach you); 2) rent a bike to find them in this huge park and rentals can be done on site for 7 euro / hour ish; 3) budget more than 1hour cause there’s so much to do and the time goes by fast! we saw about 70-100 deers in 2-3 packs on the left side of the park (if u come in from the main entrance). can ask the bike rental guy for their whereabouts by season. some deers are more open to engage with you (and your carrots) than others. the reindeers are honestly massive and can be a bit intimidating when they get the hang of you feeding them and wanting more food. but overall they are super cute and friendly and the view is amazing during the sunset hours. an excellent / must-do activity in dublin :)

A circa 3 km dal centro città c’è Phoenix Park. Lungo la strada incontriamo l’Irish National War Memorial anche qui una passeggiata è d’obbligo. Phoenix Park si estende per circa 700 ettari. Già dall’esterno del parco si può vedere l’obelisco del Wellington monument. All’interno del parco oltre alle residenze del Presidente d’Irlanda e dell’Ambasciatore USA c’è la Croce Papale eretta per la visita di Giovanni Paolo II. A Phoenix Park è stanziale una colonia di daini, purtroppo nonostante la presenza attenta del personale del parco qualche gesto di mancanza di rispetto per la natura c’è e come si può vedere dalla foto un daino si ciba di un sacchetto di carta. Anche qui gli scoiattoli la fanno da padroni e con un poco di fortuna possiamo vedere anche qualche rapace.

Beautiful park! We started off by going to the visitor center where parking was plentiful. We went into the garden by the parking lot that had many interesting fruits, vegetables, and flowers. We also visited the fun playground next to it that has great equipment for all ages. We then headed to the café where we had delicious tea, scones, and a raspberry coconut pastry, all for a reasonable price. After that we visited the visitor center and got free castle tour tickets. The castle tour was very interesting and informative and we got to visit the ground, first, and second floors of the castle. Finally, we drove to the fort and walked around. Phoenix Park is a great place to spend the day!

Phoenix Park, a truly special landmark in the heart of Dublin City. I can't imagine Dublin without it! I visit often and love taking walks there. There are lots of car parks and cycle lanes, which is great. And guess what? You'll be surprised to find deer roaming freely in the park, and you can even get close to them! The president of Ireland's house is also located inside the park, and there's the Dublin Zoo too. There are plenty of playgrounds for kids to enjoy. Don't miss the famous Papal Cross—it's a sight to behold. Overall, it's a beautiful park and a must-visit spot for tourists in Dublin. I highly recommend it to you!

While on my holiday in Ireland my group and I went to this park for some time. Honestly it is a beautiful place with many picture-worthy sceneries. The herd of deer was so spectacular to see, I didn't know that there were that many either! Sadly we were misfortunate enough to be there on a rainy day and did not explore it as much as I would like. All in all, I'd definitely suggest this park to any person visiting Dublin. Most definitely bring an umbrella, a water bottle and spend as much time as you can exploring the park. Hopefully the next time I visit I enjoy it to it's full potential!

cómo amante incondicional de la naturaleza, solo puedo decir que hasta ahora es lo mejor que he podido visitar en dublin. Solo el hecho de poder ver a estas criaturas en libertad, con prudencia pero sin miedo a la presencia humana es sin duda todo un privilegio. Nunca creí que existiera un parque, de tal dimensiones y con estos animales majestuosos que si vas con cuidado y sin movimientos bruscos puedes tocarlos. Ellos se acercan a ti y solo tienes q ser paciente para que vengan a explorarte. si pudiera dar 10 estrellas este sería mi 10 de Dublin

Best place for a day out with kids, they gonna love it. Prepare to walk a lot. Staff here is very friendly, you can bring your own food l, there is a lot of people paces to eat as well. Toilets are very clean and tidy. Giraffe and zebras are a great attraction. Tiger is very active and worth watching. Lions were very lazy. If the climate is good, your kids gonna love it. There are lots of play areas for kids. You will easily loose your path, I would suggest to but that guide they offer. It’s 3 euros and the quality is really good.

Such a beautiful large park. The walking paths are clean and flat, easily maneuverable for wheelchairs and strollers. The tall trees and wild flowers along with large grassy area are perfect for spotting wildlife. The little Tea room is a great spot to stop for a beverage and quick bite. Seating is outside on picnic style tables. This was the only place we could find bathrooms as well. The monument was stunning and nice to walk in the large grassy area. We even stopped for a quick sit down on our blanket and enjoyed the sun.

Gorgeous park close to the city centre, perfect to spend a relaxing day. Dublin zoo is also located in the park - which is a great addition to any day trip. Its worth cycling the park if you want to explore it, as its a bit large to walk on foot. The park was created as a royal deer-hunting park in the 1660s and only opened to the public in 1747. Lots of deer still live in the park, but they should he admired at a distance and not fed. It also has the irish presidents residence and the US ambassadors residence.

Principalmente se o seu objetivo for chegar até às renas! É adequado para simplesmente sentar e apreciar a vista ou fazer um piquenique.

Parco bellissimo, immerso nella natura e curato nei dettagli. Per trovare i daini proseguite per circa 2Km all’incirca vicino alla croce del Papa. Si possono affittare le biciclette con un costo di 7 euro per un’ora (14 quelle elettriche o tandem) fino a 14 euro per tre ore (25 elettriche o tandem) . Vi consiglio di prendervi 3 ore perchè in un’ora fate appena in tempo ad andare avanti ed indietro. Dentro troverete la residenza del Presidente, una casa bianca in miniatura.

Great family day experience. Arrive early, there is a lot to see. Well kept zoo, even the benches are clean and free of bird poop. Bring food and lots of drinks as the restaurants are expensive. There are enough benches, bins, toilets, snack bars and free water dispensers all around the zoo. Tickets are expensive but worth it. Cons: Limited parking spaces and no shaded sitting areas. So many babies in prams; breast feeding facilities would be awesome.

Weitläufig und sehr schön angelegter Park! Wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht, der findet hier im Park ganz sicher seine Ecke und findet auch die Möglichkeit das leibliche Wohl stärken zu können. Mitten in der Stadt einen schönen und riesigen Park zu finden, das bieten nicht viele Städte in dieser Größe. Bis zum Zentrum ist es ein wenig zu weit, aber mit dem ÖPNV ist es ein Katzensprung.

Un parc imens, curat, verde, cu multe pasari, cu locuri de joacă pentru copii in care te poți plimba ore în șir. Atunci când plouă mirosul de iarbă udă te învăluie de pretutindeni iar aerul este foarte curat. Nu am găsit însă bănci pe care să poți sta, vreun loc unde sa mergi sa te adăpostești de ploaie. Acolo este si Grădina zoologică, si cateva ceainarii/mic restaurant.

Un parrc urias si frumos! In afara de spatiile verzi fromos aranjate, ca spatii numai bune de relaxare, joaca sau miscare, in parc se afla si gradina zoologica..foarte ontinsa si ea si resedinte demne de luat un seama: resedinta prezidentiala si ambasada SUA.. Eu mu am vazut, dar toata lumea spune ca te poti intalni cu caprioare chiar in parc. Merita vazut!

Phoenix Park is very large, I did not go all the way, nor did I see the legendary lovely deer. Must be a next time. into the park directly by those large lawns and trees to shock, very suitable for quiet persons walking or jogging over there. there are not many people, the whole scenery let people indulge in it, can be very quiet to spend half a day.

Il parco è molto curato, ricco di aiuole in fiore. È d'obbligo una passeggiata per attraversarlo e cercare i cervi che qui passeggiano liberamente :) ahimè nel parco abbiamo anche perso il giubbotto di mia sorella... Tornando indietro speravamo di trovarlo appeso ad un ramo, beh spoiler, non è andata così .. tenetevi stretti gli averi :D

LO MEJOR de nuestra visita a Dublín. No teníamos claro cuán complicado sería encontrar a los ciervos, pero, en el punto que os señalo en el mapa estaban en masa. Les llevamos pan y zanahorias (lo que más les gustó, recomiendo partirlas en trocitos o se las comen de un bocado). Los hay que no dudan en hurgarte en el bolso en busca de más.

Muy bonito. Vale la pena alquilar bicis en la entrada para ir a buscar los ciervos al fondo del parque a la izquierda. Nosotros nos llevamos la comida e hicimos un pequeño pícnic. Llevar agua porque no hay fuentes. Tiene bancos y zonas a la sombra, pero pocos baños. Hay una zona de cafetería en el centro de visitantes.

First ever visit to Phoenix park was awesome. I will probably need about 3 or 4 visits to be able to review this park extensively. There are very long stretches of greenery with well kept walkways in this park. Had the opportunity of seeing the deer up close. Just check out the pictures and videos.

What a great park ! You should definitely visit. If you are lucky, you can see these amazing deer. You can also get lost in the greens and get fresh air. It's a great place to get away from the crowd of the city and breathe. It can be much better if equipped with social opportunities.

Parque muito agradável e com uma grande área. Pode alugar uma bike o que facilita no passeio ou ir a pé. A ida tem uma leve subida. Se der sorte consegue ver os deers pelo caminho. Eles costumam ficar numa área passando o zoológico, depois da Papal Cross. Vale muito a pena!

I had a delightful experience at Phoenix Park! The serene atmosphere, coupled with the chance to meet friendly deer up close, made my walk truly memorable. The fact that the deer are unafraid of people adds an extra special touch to this beautiful natural haven.

Both touristic and local - it is that big , it has space for everyone! Great spot for picnic or for a walk/run . Many pubs/coffee shops around it ( and some even inside). Don’t forget about the deers - but sometimes they require some time finding …

MASSIVE park not too far from the city centre, the deer were absolutely LOVELY on a rainy day. I guess they're used to humans so you can get really close to them. Please don't make any sudden movements and ABSOLUTELY please don't touch or feed them!

Great and huge big area to share with family and friends, you can walk, run, cycling, and play with plenty of space. There are coffee places and the zoo access as well. The most beautiful part is to meet friendly and cute deers around the park.

Loved walking around the area! It's a huge park and also houses the Dublin zoo (which I didn't see). There are also small cafés to catch a coffee break or if you need to use the loo! I totally recommend visiting it if you are in Dublin!

A very place to spend a relaxing afternoon. There is so much to watch and feel the pleasantness of the place. The seagulls, ducks, swans and the other birds are a pleasure to watch. The place is very green too with a beautiful lake.

Good place to experience wildlife or just go for a walk. Although it's one of the largest enclosed parks in Europe they don't have an area for camping. Since the drug use in the area it's not the safest place for a night walk.

Gorgeous wide open gardens with a great host of people jogging, walking and exploring. Easy to find, through the gates. Near Dublin Zoo, plenty of places to park and great place for events. Very spacious and pretty.

Gorgeous park, well kept. You can enter from different sides, there is also a zoo to visit. The park is pretty big, a lot of parts have nicely kept flowers and if you are lucky you can spot deers walking around.

Ha, the best place in Dublin! Love it here, I am a runner and this place has it all. Doing intervals, you can do them on the Polo track. The park from any end point to the next; is around 3+ Kilometers.

Loved walking around and finding some deer! We didn’t bring any food but I saw a half eaten apple on the ground and a deer walked up and ate it right out of my hands!
