When I first arrived the team was very quick in getting me through the check in process and on the road. Once I got going in the Mitsubishi RVR that I was given, I realized that the vehicle would not be suitable for what I needed. I went back after 6 or 7 km and asked if I could get a different, larger GM vehicle. It took a bit of scrambling but the staff was very accommodating and advised me of an “upgrade charge” with which I was fine. Fast forward 3 days later and I looked at my contract and there seemed to be an error and it looked like I was going to be charged significantly more than I was expecting. When I brought this to the attention of one of the counter staff, they immediately understood what my concern was and worked to correct it. It took about 15 minutes to sort it all out and I really appreciated the efforts of the staff to address my concern. They corrected the issue and I was happy to settle the bill at the amount I was expecting with the upgrade. They could easily have said “call customer service there’s nothing we can do here” but they didn’t. They were concerned with the customer experience and fixed it right there. I also appreciated the manager following up with me the next day to ensure that everything went well. I wish every service experience I have in my travels was as good as this one. Well done National Winnipeg team. Thanks very much. I’ll be back.

Ashish, Jamar, and Luna... All you need is this trio. Nothing else. Did I mention Ashish? He is worth a second mention. Honestly, don't waste your time with the other counters. I had an issue apon arrival with my online booking with another counter adjacent to National. Not only was I misinformed by this other counter, but I was also misled by them regarding policy on the other rental services. I decided on my intuition to go ahead and consult with National anyway regarding the matter and they did in fact resolve the issue, in spite of what I was told otherwise by the counter two down from the right. Go figure. You do the math. They were patient and worked hard until the issue was resolved. I was so relieved that they were able to help me. My toddler was so tired by this point from travelling and from the car rental issue, they even helped by offering him lollipops, just very supportive people who really humanize. You're not dealing with a business here, you're dealing with family. Go straight to their counter, it is rare you'll ever get this kind of sincere service these days.

I am a regular customer at this location and have to say that the entire team exemplify exceptional customer service and exceed my expectations on a regular basis. The moment I approach the counter they are looking for my reservation. Not only do they recognize me but they remember my name - wow! I never wait any longer than 10 minutes to have my transaction completed. I have received follow-up courtesy calls at home to check in and ensure everything with the car rental is to my satisfaction and if it is not to contact them immediately for assistance. I could not be more pleased with my experience. There is one individual on this team that goes above and beyond every single time - his name is Kyle P. I am an Executive Elite member and am a big fan of National. The Winnipeg airport location however is dangerously negligent! I picked up a VW Tiguan on April 10,2022. I needed to work across the prairie provinces for 10 days ending in Calgary. This week was a big snowstorm in MB / SK. The roads were not bad but uncharacteristically slippery. April 16th I make it to Calgary and when filling up (I had the tires turn aggressively to fit in between two others filling) I noticed bald tires. Not limited tread but bald! 2200 kms in a week through snow storms on bald tires. The roads were not uncharacteristically slippery I was sent out on dangerous tires. Pictures attached!

I mostly rent from National. My most recent experience with them was great. The Agent at the desk was extremely helpful, she emailed me short while after I left with the rental to ask if the vehicle was working well gave me some guidance on use of some of the features of the vehicle as well as information on getting assistance should something go wrong. She was also took the time to provide me with information on the weather in the location I was heading towards. She also took the effort to give me suggestion for places to eat which was great to have. I recommend National and especially if in Winnipeg the folks at the Airport location are awesome.

National always offers a great selection of vehicles, but their customer service at this location is above an beyond. I recently worked with Jamie Miller at this location and he was excellent in providing information about the area as well as certain Canadian vehicular laws. I am a United States citizen and this was my first experience not only renting a vehicle in Canada, but driving there as well. Not only was Jamie extremely welcoming when we arrived, but he sent a follow up email before he left for the day offering more tips and advice as well as information for early drop-offs for vehicles. It was an above and beyond experience.

As a long term executive elite member National has always delighted me with their high quality service, however on Dec20/23 when I tried to pick up my reserved car, I received a nasty surprise. After a lengthy wait, numerous phone calls and leaving messages no one could be found to serve me. I took a taxi to my destination. In discussion with member services they could not confirm that the location was still in business. Today is day 4 and I still have not received any callback. If you are looking to be annoyed and frustrated then this is the right place. If you are looking for a car look elsewhere.

The best service and overall experience in my travels across Canada, the US and Internationally. Jamar F at your Winnipeg outlet is sincerely the most connected employee with real personal attributes I have had the fortunate circumstance to deal with. I fly into Winnipeg a bunch a times a year and Jamar is fantastic and a real credit to a team member who shows pride in his services and truly makes an effort to connect with each person who just might be stressing about travel. Great experience. Check in rep was fantastic. Gave me a nice upgrade. They also email a list of employee recommended restaurants- which was a nice touch. IN years of business travel, that was a first!. Only reason I did not give a five because check out was slower than it should have been. Once the rep got to my car, it was OK. There should be some clearer instructions when dropping the vehicle off and no one is in the booth. But I would recommend and will rent from National next time..

This National Car Rental at Winnipeg Airport is always good. Been using them for the last 5 - 6 years. My pre-arranged vehicle was there on time, full of gas, clean and good to go. They process you quickly and it is followed up by a quick email about local matters. Same on the return. They process you quickly, examine the vehicle and send you on your way with your invoice. Staff are friendly and accommodating. This is a model of exemplary customer service.

It's hard to come by good customer service these days but I received great customer service from Jamar at the front desk. He was able to provide me with all the information I required and went above and beyond in fulfilling my order. He helped me make the right decisions for my unique needs and did it all with patience and a smile. I will now be using National every time I visit YWG for my rental needs. The service at National is excellent! The counter staff were friendly and efficient. The vehicle was in good shape and ran well; however it was very uncomfortable. We rented a Dodge Crew Van for our family to drive to an out of province wedding. None of the seats were comfortable, to the point that we stopped on the way and bought pillows for everyone to sit on. The service was excellent; however the vehicle was horrible!

Staff were personable, polite and respectful of my time. The vehicle was clean and operated well. The owners manual in the vehicle was written French only Fortunately I am bilingual so it was not a problem for me. When returning the vehicle the staff again personable and respectful of my time. Overall an excellent experience. Thank You.

Was in Winnipeg last month to attend a wedding with my family. need extra large SUV. rented from National. All went very smooth. Staffs were amazing. Manager Nick was outstanding. i requested for Chevy Tahoe, but got even better, a Chevy Suburban.
