I must admit that the manager of this location was very warm and inviting and their products are amazing. Although I did find what I was looking for, my experience was not the most pleasant as the lady (sale staff) helping me was very pushy. I stated that I was pressed for time and wanted to see what was available because I intended to come back but she kept on getting more and more involved. As I was leaving the sale lady kept on pushing to leave a deposit for anything that I was interested in and mentioned that the prices could change since a new month is about to start. I had asked for the SKU of the item that I was interested in but at no point did she provide me that information. I don’t know if she was concerned that I would go and purchase this online or that I’d go to another sale person. In order for me to leave, I ended up getting pressured into leaving a deposit but as soon as I left I knew I was very dissatisfied with how things were handled. During my time I heard a lot of people coming and going that were very happy with their experience and I’m hoping that my next trip there will be much better as I’ll also be able to spend more time and not purchase an engagement ring within 15 minutes of getting there. I will certainly go back to Michael Hill but not to that location or that specific sale person. I'm plan to go back and get my deposit back and get the SKU for the item I wanted and heading to another location. A word to the curious; don’t get sucked into their “end of the month” sales pitches.

Terrible Experience! Took a ring in to be sized and a pearl to be replaced, the ring has been handed down from generation to generation. Took 3 weeks to get a call it was ready, when i went to pick it up, the ring had not been sized and the original pearl was not given back. Spoke with manager and was told it was a third party who did the work and she would have it corrected. I received a call a week later and went in AGAIN to pick it up. Not sized again, however the pearl was returned. I wanted a discount for the trouble and was told there was nothing she could do, not Michael Hills fault, it was the third party they used. I received a call from Kelly Gordon who the the regional manager and she said the ring was sized the first time and i would be receiving no discount. I asked her to meet me at Michael Hill and we could speak to the staff and confirm the ring had not been sized, she refused. When i asked for the name of who she reports to, she refused and hung up the phone. The worst customer service i have ever experienced. If Kelly Gordon is indeed a regional manger, they need to rethink that hire.

I wouldn't even give this store a star but you have to inorder to say your peace. The manager is very pushy and not at all helpful!!!!! I needed to return a necklace because my husband did not like it and the manager kept pushing me to buy something else. I'll be honest this isn't one of their nicest stores, it seems like they send the jewelry that does not sell or is popular to this store because nothing was appealing. The necklace I purchased was in a drawer at the bottom so they don't even display items. After finally getting to the payment part of the return they required my card ending in 4 digits but unfortunately my card was compromised and have to send me another one and they won't do the return!!!!! PEOPLE DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE , THE MANAGER IS A WITCH AND COULD CARE LESS TO HELP CUSTOMERS. We will never shop at Michael hill because of this person.

Contrary to the awful experience I had at Michael Hill store at Mapleview Mall I had a wonderful one at the Burlington Centre (Mall) on Thursday. Pauline is a sweetheart, very professional and welcoming. She showed several options within the budget I gave her and was always helpful when I had questions. I took my time deciding, no rush, no pressure. Excellent customer service skills and certainly an asset to the corporation. Thank you, Pauline. My daughter loved her graduation ring. If you want to buy from Michael Hill just forget they exist at Mapleview Mall and go straight to Burlington Centre store. The only thing comparable between both stores and the service they provide is the name. Save yourself a bad experience at Mapleview.

DO NOT SHOP HERE. Extremely unprofessional. Firstly, what was said to be a 2 week job has now become a 2 month job. Secondly we left specific instructions with the jeweler that were completely ignored and are now being charged for the jeweler's mistakes. Thirdly, we asked them to save the pieces that were being removed and they somehow have lost them instead, knowing that this was a family heirloom. We are heartbroken and extremely fustrated. We have tried contacting the manager and have been ignored for the past month. Lastly, they forgot to re-size my ring twice in a row on top of everything else. We are appalled at how we have been treated throughout this process. I would avoid coming here at all costs.

I have had great experiences with Lauretta. I normally don't wear a lot of jewelry due to allergies. She recommended a pair of earrings in December and let me know they don't have nickel in their silver. Those worked out great so I went back to see her again. She spent time looking through the stock to find me a beautiful pair of hoops with the type of backs I like. She gives great customer service and the quality of the silver is fantastic. Horrible experience won't honor original warranty when my husband purchased my engagement ring and band. He bought the "lifetime warranty " which covered unlimited rhodium plating, now you can only go once a year. Also original warranty said you could trade in your rings and upgrade at any time and get the price you paid for to get an upgraded ring. Not anymore. Horrible do not recommend and will never purchase anything from here ever again.

Went many times here and lisa the manager here is fantastic! Her services, warmth and friendliness makes you want to come back to this store. I highly recommend this place to my family and friends or anyone else. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. However, lisa the manager is spot on! I've passed by a couple of times and I've always seen her taking exceptional care of the store and the staff. Great job guys!

I love this Micheal Hill location because I've been there multiple times and every time I always receive excellent customer service. They always let me try things on and actually take things out so I can look at them. They even cleaned my rings for free. They always have great selection. I love all my jewelry from Michael Hill! 5/5 I DO recommend this location.

I bought my wife her wedding ring and band there. Bought the lifetime warranty on both and unlimited Rhodium plating. Since then they have changed their policy. My wife has been back and forth with Sam from customer service and she is not very helpful. Won't ever buy anything from here again. Terrible experience.

Mike Swinton at Burlington mall has done a fantastic job. I just purchased a set of earnings for my fiancé from him. His knowledge and service was great. There was no bs about it. I highly recommend going to visit him if you're in the market for a great experience with no pressure.

Nothing more annoying than something going on sale, you walk into the store to buy it, they don't have any (if they ever did) then some annoying person thinks they can do a jedi mind trick and talk you into buying something you didn't go in there to buy in the first place.

Bought a ring here with very little time to work with and the staff were very accommodating. Nice selection at any price point and the lifetime warranty is a plus. Jaylyne was amazing I would recommend this location to anyone looking for good service and good selection.
