I've been looking for a new place since Gourmet Chinese restaurant retired & closed a couple years ago! They were the best! Can't find anything close to it in my neck of the woods! I used to like Mayflower 30years ago but then it changed hands or cooks or something & then it was not good! Thought I should give it another chance because I saw some good reviews here but it was a mistake! Still bad or bad again! The worst thing was the deluxe fried rice! I mean how bad could rice be right? They use some kind of small grain rice that appears to be cut even smaller & it is saturated in soy sauce &then they put some thin pork & thin strings of chicken roll & some miserable shrimps on top! I felt like I had no rice to have with my other dishes & the dry veal is popcorn veal! small morsels of breaded veal! It tastes ok but not much veal in the breaded veal? & Of course the lemon chicken is mostly greasy breading, The Cantonese chow mein was ok! I would never order from there again! Maybe the cook has changed since the good reviews or they have never had good Chinese food!

With the latest covid restrictions that took place on Mother's Day, our previous dinner plans were cancelled. We ordered a good variety of different dishes from Mayflower, wanting plenty of leftovers for meals later. We were NOT disappointed. Mayflower offers mostly take out, and occasionally offers delivery as well. We have used both. Mother's Day was very busy for them, and because of the occasion, we had to wait for about an hour to be able to pick up our order that we had phoned in. I arrive a little bit early and it was just being packaged up, still piping hot. Not sure what you would like? Try a variety of dishes each time, with a little something different each time you order. You are guaranteed to find at least one favorite with each order. We enjoyed a great Mother's Day Mayflower Chinese Food feast, and will continue to patronize this fantastic local small family run business.

WORST BREADED RIBS EVER!!! They were so dry that my Mum boiled them for three hours in seasonings to reconstitute them to being edible. Their beef and broccoli had 8 thin dry strips of beef, undercooked broccoli, hard carrots, cabbage, and 2 cauliflower florets with a little bit of watery sauce. Paid 9.50 for 10 oily, overly browned , overcooked shrimp that were dry as the desert. Their sauces were very thin and bitter to taste. Only reason two stars were given was because the chicken balls and chicken fried rice were decent. Their commercially bought 1 inch mini cheese cake @ 1.00 a piece were okay too. So because my family and I would've been regulars there but no way hozay!!

My daughter ordered our Christmas dinner from here. Throughout the evening, all 7 of us said at one point that it was delicious. Thank you for making our Christmas extra special. All 10 dishes, soup, and egg rolls/spring rolls were amazing. And still there was food for peeps to take home. Prices were great. She also talked about how wonderful the person she was dealing was with. Highly recommended. I tried to post a pic, but it won’t let me do to cookies or something.

I was visiting SF for the day and needed a quick meal before heading to the airport. I read good reviews for this place so decided to try it out. It was pretty crowded, even for a Thursday night, but since I was alone I was seated within about 10 minutes. I got the sopa del pollo which comes with a plate of rice (I just added some of it to the soup which tasted good). The chips and three types of salsa are delicious and I honestly could have eaten just that and been satisfied, haha! I didn't have any of the drinks but those looked good so I'd like to try them next time.

Fast efficient and accurate. Great food, great spring rolls chicken fried rice. We always order from here. It seems to be consistent with quality of food portion sized and care in packaging.

Polite friendly young man working the counter always reads my order back fully and never makes mistakes. The food is wrapped with more care than I've ever seen done in an order. Each item that has sauce or anything liquid has an individual bag within the bag. Even cardboard separates items within the bag to prevent damage to the Styrofoam. The soup comes in a proper little bowl and that's wrapped in a bag! The prices are very good as well. Awesome pickup place.

Just moved to the area and our family needed a restaurant that would accommodate my wife and son's shrimp and shellfish allergies. They changed the oil in the deep fryer for us. The dry breaded veal and chicken balls were cooked to perfection.We are so happy to find a restaurant that met our needs. We enjoyed the meal very much. My husband and I decided to order Chinese food and we were not dissipointed I got to order online with delivery they confirmed right away and delivered ASAP. The courier was amazing and respectful and the portions were generous and the food was amazing and flavourful. We will continue to have mayflower be our main Chinese food service . Worse Chinese food I ever ate by far. Ordered a Beef in Dark bean sauce and it was the consistency of watery soup with thin, tasteless beef. The Pineapple Chicken balls were mostly dough (very little chicken) and Shanghai Noodles were filled with chow mien. Only decent item was the egg rolls. Extremely disappointed with the meal that I spent my hard earned money on.

First and last time for me..Food was cold.. ribs way over cooked, sauce like water.. rice was like paste, called back with complaints.. ALL I got was I don't understand.. they offered a free order of ribs..But the ribs are gross.. money wasted.. food wasted, never again.. I've read the other reviews.. ppl must on glue that actually like this place..

Ordered Christmas dinner from Mayflower this year and it was great! We ordered for pick up and food was piping hot. We have many picky family members and everyone only had good things to say. Polite and friendly service and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend!

I love this place! Best Chinese restaurant around tbh, I go here before anywhere else. You can tell they run a clean and quality establishment. Staff are friendly and great in English! Food always comes in less than an hour (delivery). Go here for all your Chinese food needs!!

One of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever had here in manitoba I always order 6 egg rolls which is phenomenal and black bean chicken with fired rice. The chiefs that work here are unbelievablely great and sunny is super polite

Order here for the first time due to the other Chinese food places in the area providing very low quality food. My expectations were low but i was very surprised and impressed. Very good food and prices.

This is the best Chinese food in the city. Everything else is just a poor copy of this place. The people are friendly and the food is fantastic. This is the only place where I get my Chinese food.

Staff are nice and friendly. Good concept for takeout, but food is NOT good. We've ordered several times over the years and each time have regretted it.

Our first time trying their food it was delicious. The sweet and sour pork ribs were awesome as was the rest, will definitely order from there again.

Foods taste like dry socks, the one who picked up the phone can't even speak English, delivery takes forever. I will never order ever again.

I've tried various Chinese food places over the years and Mayflower hands down is my favourite one in Winnipeg 5/5 would recommend.
