Came here based on the rating, reviews, and photos. I was trying to find an alternative to my current Winnipeg favourite dim sum restaurant. The shopping centre parking lot offers plenty of free parking. The room was definitely smaller than what I imagined based on photos. Pretty dim, too, since the only major light source is the front windows. Place has no side windows and only has some small LED ceiling lights. On writing this review, I realized that we ordered almost none of the dishes everybody posting here ordered. So this may be why my food experience may be less than everybody else but these are also standard dishes in dim sum restaurants. The Chinese doughnut wrapped in rice noodle roll was pretty basic and not fresh made. It has been fried more than once and then wrapped. If they steamed it again after wrapping, maybe the doughnut would not seem so overfried and dry. The meat wrapped in bean curd sheet was ok. It's just standard fare and does not stand out. The chicken on rice dim sum bowl was ok. Could probably do with a little more steaming with the lid off as the steaming liquid was still in the rice, so it seemed too wet. This is the first place I've been to that uses those metal steaming containers rather than clay pots or actual bowls. The stuffed eggplant. Now, usually, this is with shrimp paste. This is the first time to have it with fish paste. Again, it's just ok, but fish paste is cheaper than shrimp, so the experience was that much less. Hidden gem in South Winnipeg? Maybe if there are no other dim sum restaurants in South Winnipeg. If you don't mind driving to Chinatown, Kum Koon Garden would still get my dim sum dollars.

Very busy place. I was there at 12:40 and was told there's no table available for now if no reservation, should be available between 1:00 to 1:15. So I left my phone number and waited outside. No body called me before 1:15, so I just walked in to see what's going on and saw they are giving an available table to two guys without reservation. When they were trying to give table to another family without reservation, I had a chance to talk to them and they gave the table to me instead of that family. But I still feel upset as I don't know how many tables they already gave to people after me. I understand they are busy, but don't keep customer's phone number without calling when there is an available table. The food is not bad, but not excellent as I expected, because I was told they are the best dim sum in the city. The price is higher than all the dim sum restaurant I have been in Wpg. Don't think I will come back again, but you can have a try if you don't mind the waiting time.

Best dim sum in the Peg and I would say all across Canada. Shrimp dumplings, rice rolls, and fish/shrimp dumpling in clear soup broth are to die for. Fresh made to order. If you want best quality dim sum this is it. If you want pushcarts and low quality dim sum, don't come here.

Ok, first off, the portions are so generous, we ordered what we thought would be enough for a family of 4, and ended up with enough food for the entire weekend. The staff was very friendly, the food arrived in good time, and now…..let me tell you about the food…..The different sauces in each and every dish we ordered tasted like the nectar of the gods. The vegetables tasted fresh, crunchy, and the meats were all cooked to perfection and seasoned with spices that make your mouth come alive. The honey garlic spare ribs almost made me cry they were so good. I will never be going anywhere else, thank you Tang Dynasty, for the best meal I’ve had in years!

Food quality is very good. For Winnipeg, probably one of the top Dim Sum. Compared to Vancouver, this is good, but there would be better. My mother told me the chef here is the one that used to be at North Garden. For this meal we tried a bit of everything. My aunt told me we ordered everything off the menu. Everything was pretty solid. The only thing I am unsure of is the price as I did not pay. Its a small spot. On the weekends it fills up fast and line ups are the norm. They open at 11am so getting there right at that time is good. I do believe they take reservations however, though I am unsure if they will do it for small parties.

They deserved a star only as they made mistake without saying an apology. I had booked a table a day ahead, apparently they gave my table to others.. That lady who worked there just asked us to wait, no explanation, no apology but hide inside the kitchen.. They did set up a table for us after, however, no apology still... It's super simple, if u make mistake, then apologize. What a disappointment and bad experience. They ruined their reputation cause now people knows how they treat their customers. Apparently the staff there don't even know what a proper manner and basic serving skill is, shame on them.

It's a good spot with friendly staff and good quality food. I would have given it a 4 except that when ordering takeout I received the incorrect dish. I ordered curried shrimp and received curried chicken. It was still delicious and I enjoyed it but was disappointed as I really wanted shrimp and was already home when I discovered the mistake. However I will still order from here and hope that I can upgrade that star in the future.

Dim sum is top notch. The deep fried custard buns are just chefs kiss. The Chinese perogies have the perfect texture. The pan fried pork dumplings are simply the best here. And the pork dumplings with shirmp... you'll need two orders of these. On the weekends be sure to make a reservation. The *only* thing that's a kinda weird is they are protective with their condiments. We need more than one tiny dish of chili oil for a table of four ordering minimum 10 dishes (yea, the dim sum is that good). Just please give us the condiments.

8 seatimg sections (1 8-10 person & 7 2-4 person), customer service was average, unattentive, especially for a small place, be prepared to wait 30-40mins, reservations reccomended during those times, we were fortunate, especially because we drove 30mins across town to try a new dim sum place, worth the drive? Had better downtown, but we were trying to be adventurous.

I ordered a Combo #2 Which was supposed to be Crispy Sechuan Chicken, vegetables and rice. I also ordered Chicken Chow Mein, which was tasty. However, I thought the texture of the "Sechuan Chicken" was a bit funny. I then found out it was all bread inside. No chicken at all.... As you can see by this picture. It's basically a spicy donut!! Not any chicken at all. Very disappointed.

They have the best dim sum in Winnipeg. Anything that you order with shrimp is only shrimp, unlike other places that use fake shrimp /Pollock. Everything is made fresh to the order so nothing's overcooked. Big portions and tasty!! Don't tell too many people. It's a small place. I don't want to wait in line

Very good service, squeaky clean, and super tasty dim sum! Hadn’t been in a while but they are still running smoothly with great food and service. We can be picky diners so we appreciated the attentiveness and cleanliness of the restaurant. Place was almost full when we got there so that’s a good sign. Will be going back for this secret dim sum gem.

I ordered Combo #7 and combo #1. Supposed to come with fried rice, both dishes. Fried rice is not a blob of steamed rice with soya sauce on it. Nothing in it and definitely had not seen a wok! Second time disappointed. Last time.

I ordered takeout tonight. The food was ready in 25 minutes, the staff were friendly, and the portion size was good. I only like sweet and deep-fried dishes, so I ordered 4 different kinds. They were all delicious. Their dishes are only like $12 so it's also a lot cheaper than other Chinese restaurants.

This is a local favourite. The food is always worth the visit and you can get dim sum any time you like. Many people make recommendations of Chinese food places that are not very good. This is one that I've recommended over and over and the feedback is always the same, friends love it and go back.

Ordered take out for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. So far, it's the best Chinese take out in Winnipeg. We ordered the honey garlic chicken balls, the Ginger beef, chicken fried rice and noodles. My favorite was the beef. It was very good. Will definitely order from here again.

Pleasantly surprised. Good for and reasonable prices. Ginger Beef was better than the honey garlic chicken. Lunch comes with egg roll and consomme soup. Server did not come around to ask how the meal was nor did she come around to refill coffee. I would still go back since it is convenient.

Disappointed. Picked up take out the other day. Portion is smaller. Smaller container for the food. Didn't think I'd notice? Prices have gone up again. So now a double rip off. Kung pow chicken had very little chicken. Used to be a hidden gem but not anymore.

Terrible place. Need to make a reservation but when we walked in at opening where there's no one inside the restaurant and they turned us away. How do you expect anyone to make reservations when you open at 11 and you don't answer any calls prior. Terrible!

Amazing beancurd wrap with oyster sauce and also the stuffed green peppers

My daughter ordered/picked-up, Tang Dynasty yesterday, for a Family Dinner, We were all "VERY IMPRESSED "!!!! Ordered 6 or 7 different items, and All being "VERY TASTY DELICIOUS "!!! A little Pricey, but well worth it!!!...Everybody Was Happy!

This was our first visit , the food is very good and the plum sauce they serve in the restaurant is made in house and is the best I've ever had. The combo plate is very well presented and the portion is more than adequate. We will definitely return!

Great Fast fresh food. Lots of choices and some really amazing combo platters the combo platters are also super cheap. Love the honey garlic and the ginger beef combo plates. In my experience here you can't go wrong one of my go to places for sure!

Just ordered the Orange Chicken and it was absolutely disgusting! The chicken was a dried up breast deep fried and cut in slices and the sauce was bland and flavorless. I've had orange chicken many times before and clearly they have no idea

Restaurant has really changed since ownership has changed. Quality of food is not as great. If you order take out check your order before you leave. Had take out 3 orders at different times with errors. The restaurants response is sorry

By far, the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I waited to get it, yet some of the dishes I orders were still cold. Sweet and sour sauce on the side isn't even heated, but a congealed glob that holds the shape of the container almost.

I order here regularly and have no complaints. Sometimes you get hit with a 1 hour to 1.5 hours wait times for pick up but thats normal, they do get very busy somtimes.
