Have u ever been 2 a cemetery where u were u use your gps yet it doesn't match at all ! U look 4 directions 4 Mongolia Chapel and u get 2 Camellia Chapel, without signs. They have made the decision that there in a row of Chapels so even though u don't know they assume u do and should take a walk . Fantastic florist offered 2 walk us there tug 4 her . Went 2 the office 2 find our long past relatives at Reception whom were doing nothing refused 2 give us a map but gave us directions 2 a screen 2 get numbers only, there where no signs . Only some graves r numbers exept we found out from a rude man there there r only complete directions r only at the entrance, so we were already inside. So if don't have tears or a gps talking or a crying passenger if u get a chance 4 a 5 second look at directions u will b ok. Which i never saw myself i had a passenger i was consoling. We after getting lost went back 2 the rude ladies at reception, had 2 demand a map, but it is not even a proper mud map, if u r on the wrong side of the block there r no signs, numbers on some graves not always consecutive. Lucky we found a lovely helpful groundsman who found out y we lost block 16. The groundsman said everything is so old and it was very badly signposted and maped, lucky someone tells the truth ! I think staff should b nice and offer help. Very nice staff in the wake rooms, florist and groundsman. Don't talk 2 reception unless u r pushy! Stop at entrance take a photo of the sign. Internet is not 2 bad i hear !

While the cemetery itself is beautiful and serene and I am glad my dad's ashes are buried at such a beautiful site, this review is of the sales process. My experience with Vincent has been one of the most disappointing and heartbreaking experiences of my life. At the initial meeting where we were shown ash interment options, my mother eventually picked a site in the Garden of Serenity. When asked if the urn holding his ashes would fit in the interment site, we were advised "Yes, they would". Not until two days before the interment, when my mother brought the urn in, were we advised that it would not fit. Wanting to bury him within 100 days of his passing we went ahead with the burial, however he is now in an "eco" urn that will disintegrate over time and we now have an empty "standard" urn at home. The sale of a cemetery site for a family member is very different to the sale of a car. Had we been informed at the initial meeting that the urn might not fit or that he wasn't sure if it would fit, instead of concentrating on the sale, the outcome may have been very different. I would recommend that sales staff do not make up answers to questions they don't know the answer to and invest the time and energy in getting the correct answer. *UPDATE* - once management were made aware of the situation, it was immediately rectified. Thank you very much Mark and Jacqui.

I recently had the privilege of working with Christiney Foo, a Senior Family Consultant at Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional service she provided. Dealing with the logistics of bringing my father's ashes from Hong Kong was a challenging task, but Christiney made the entire process seamless with her end-to-end service and unconditional support. What sets her apart is her willingness to go above and beyond, even answering calls outside of regular working hours. Christiney's expertise became evident as she walked me through the various Burial Options, providing clear and comprehensive explanations. Her professionalism and attention to detail were instrumental during a difficult decision-making process. I felt reassured knowing that she was there to guide us every step of the way. Christiney's exceptional service has left a lasting positive impact on our family during a challenging time. Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium is fortunate to have such a dedicated and knowledgeable Senior Family Consultant. Thank you, Christiney, for your kindness, expertise, and unwavering commitment to providing top-notch service. I highly recommend Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium, especially with professionals like Christiney Foo on their team.

My Grandfather passed away a month ago in Norwest Private hospital on a long weekend. We were told by the nurse at the hospital that the hospital did not have a morgue. My father Kam contacted Christiney Foo over the long weekend while she was away overseas on leave with little hope to get anything organised over the long weekend. After talking to Christiney over the phone, much to our surprise, Christiney organised my grandfather's transport on that same day from the hospital to the funeral home. From then, within 2 weeks she had organised the service, the tomb stone and everything else that was nessesary for the funeral to go ahead smoothly. Even though Christiney was on leave overseas, her hardwork and effort meant a lot to our family, thank you Christiney Foo.

It was a very beautiful service. Some of us decided to car pool to the wake. Unfortunately, the gates close at a different hour depending on daylight savings. This was not made clear on the website. We were unable to get our cars so called security. After waiting about an hour we were greeted at the gate by a very frustrated and hostile woman. Understandably, we were all upset from the events of the day already. It was only about 6pm so not an unreasonable time of night. We understand we should’ve been more careful checking the time the gates closed before leaving but understandably it was not at the forefront of our minds. After such a lovely service and all the other sympathetic staff we were shocked by the treatment from this woman.

My mother passed away recently and my elderly 90 years old dad was very stressed. Patty De Palo, the family consultant had offered our family exception services since day one. She is a good listener and understand our concerns and requests. We recently require the headstone to be organized and engraved before the traditional tomb-sweeping day, Patty took the time and patiently went through the process and made us aware what is expected. Although the wait time was long as advised Patty was able to accelerate the process and returned with a positive result. I must say, Patty is true star and her professionalism is second to none. Hope she get recognized by the management for her hard work. Michelle

My mother was cremated at MP through an independent funeral company. I was instructed to present a letter to collect my mothers ashes. This was done on the day and ignored. As I waited in the foyer a lady presented me with a white paper bag with my mothers ashes in a cheap plastic white container. She picked up her mistake and led me to an office, tied a cheap silver ribbon on the container and apologised. Very poorly managed. I cried as I placed my mum in my car.

Last Friday I attended a cremation service for my friend Rod Murray.I live at Tenterfield and am not familiar with the city and at 5pm it was pouring rain and I could not get a taxi. One of your administration staff, a man named King, could see that I was in trouble. He put me in his car and in the rain and heavy traffic drove me to the Meriton Suites some distance away. I wish to record my great thanks to this man who is a credit to your organisation.

The cemetery is conveniently located - only about 15 km from the CBD and a short walk from North Ryde train station. The grounds are well maintained and the facilities are good. Unfortunately, as the result of staff changes which were probably caused by Covid-19, some confusion arose over what we have ordered. Luckily, Christiney sorted everything out for us in a most courteous and professional manner and my parents can now rest in peace.

It's a beautiful and well maintained place. The staff Tim, Roshni and Trevor were organized and helpful. Having my dear father pass away everything seemed a challenge for me. But Tim made the journey easier with his patience, empathy, attentiveness and quick actions. He provided very professional service and I greatly appreciate that. I would like to say special thank you to the gardener Trevor for his kind and compassionate assistance.

Just wanted to say what caring and honest service I received from Tim Courtney when I went to look for a plot for my mother. It was something new for me and he went through the process so patiently taking into consideration my situation and provided me with the best option to bury my mother. My mum was buried in such a beautiful spot and the price was also reasonable. Thank you Tim may god bless you!

Disgusting to have the bobcat/digger actively digging my great aunts grave a mere 15 minutes before the start of the graveside funeral. Incredibly insensitive and inappropriate. My grandmother is buried near by and we wished to visit her before the funeral but due to the digging ongoing we weren't allowed. On top of that all the grass was so unkempt. Not good enough for the morning of a funeral.

  • Miranda Johnson

Terrible. The live stream was shameful- chopping out chunks of the service all over the place, distressing relatives who were too unwell to attend but tried to watch. The visuals that were supposed to be shown with the hymn were not shown and the wrong photo of the deceased was put up on the screen. You would think for the price paid, they could try a bit harder.

Unfortunately very disappointed with this cemetery there was a serious breach of privacy by one of the conceige’s at the crematorium. after sending our concerns to the CEO our concerns were swept under the carpet this breach of privacy not only embarrassed us but also our family. Very disappointed. Academy Funeral Services.

Service when buying a plot is great, service when trying to organise headstones and plaques has been a nightmare. Unanswered emails, told to just walk around the cemetery to see what you like and then told by numerous people that "it's not my department"

  • Ben Fleming

Christiney Foo has been amazing from the start. We purchased the lot a while ago and as and she went out of her way as part of the after sales service with having the headstone and interment arranged, even with our last minute requests. Thank you.
